A perfectly atmospheric and romantic adventure in Greece, I relished this page-turner of a book from Sandy Barker.
Easy read. Nice love story
Fun storyline. The characters are so well written I felt like I was loosing a friend when the story ended. I hope there will be a continuation of the story and characters
Pro: I enjoyed the characters. The location descriptions were so complete that I felt like I was there. I was easily able to place myself within the book, like a movie extra. Con: the ending didn’t give me the closure that I wanted. Left me wanting more.
I loved this book but I’m still waiting to read the ending! I assumed there would be a sequel but so far I haven’t found anything to suggest that there is another book coming with a proper ending. I would really like to read the end of this book as I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would love to read more by this author but I like to read books with a HEA not a cliffhanger. Until I read the ending I’ll be “ waiting in Michigan”.
Good all the way until the end! Seemed to stop abruptly.
Perfect for quick vacation read.
One Summer in Santorini is a fun read that will transport you to Greece; you will literally know what it is like to sail around the Greek Islands. (I’m in!)
I loved the main character, Sarah, who had me laughing with her inner thoughts. After experiencing a bad breakup, Sarah decides to go off on a sailing adventure. By herself. Most people say, “Maybe you’ll meet someone!” and this felt very true to life for me–that notion that you need to find someone else to make you happy. Well, Sarah wants nothing of it, and sets out to find herself (Go Sarah!), and experience life in a way she couldn’t when she was with her ex, Neil. Along the way there are fun things that happen to Sarah. I’m not going to tell you what those are, because you’ll have to read it yourself!
Awesome romcom. Opa!
3.5 stars
A light and funny at times read, with a perfect description of wonderful Greece islands and the tasty Mediterranean food.
Taking a break from her actual life, the heroine goes on a trip where she hopes for a change, a twist in her life. She will have her wish come true as she will meet not only one but two men interested in a romantic relationship with her.
The writing was good, the characters reliable but what i didn’t really like was the banter and some repetition of the same questions/dialogue from either the main characters or the secondary ones.
There’s also the what if/ will they do this or will they do that questions that made me take a step back from the book because i just lost interest although i really wanted to love more this story.
