“If HBO’s Girls went to summer camp, this would be their story. A fast-paced, enjoyable read!” — Kristin Harmel, international bestselling author of The Sweetness of Forgetting For twenty long years, Gigi Goldstein has been pining away for her best friend’s guy. She knows it’s wrong and it has to stop, but she hasn’t been able to let go ever since they all met on the bus to summer camp back when … the bus to summer camp back when they were seven years old. Sometimes you have to go back to start again and this book shows that in true form in an interesting way.
Great laugh out loud. It was a fun light-hearted read.
couldn’t wait to the the next one in the series!
Brought back camp memories, but a bit crazy…
Meh
I was afraid this was going to be a teeny-bopper novel, but it turned out to have some great moments as a young woman between jobs spends a summer as a camp counselor in the very camp she herself attended. A fun read, with a great romantic twist.
Could not get past chapter 4. Cannot connect with a protagonist who sleeps with her best friend’s boyfriend/fiancé so did not like her from the get-go.
Good beach or pool book. Kind of predictable but a fun read
Tried to like it but just couldn’t. None of the main characters were likeable.
Writing seemed more for young adults but I wouldn’t want my young adults reading it. Quit 1/4 way in, and I rarely give up on a book.
This Book was an Easy read!,But the story was neither surprising, and was written more for a Middle School Reader!!
bit of a cliffhanger
Easy read. It was somewhat predictable but overall I enjoyed it.
I loved this book and can’t wait for the next one to come out.
I read the rest of the series first. But this 1st book did not disappoint. Great characters who are human and flawed, yet rise above their flaws to be redeemed in the eyes of this reader.
If you ever attended sleep away camp, this will bring back memories… additionally, the author takes the time to unfold her main characters richly over an 8 week camp summer. I enjoy reading about characters who develop and spend the effort “figuring it out.”
It was incredibly sappy. A 27-year old camp counselor?? Way too predictable. I wasn’t able to finish it. Don’t waste your time!
I enjoyed the book.
Great chick lit early on I made the mistake of thinking it was predicatable but has some great twists.
I didn’t finish. I didn’t really like the characters and the story was really slow-moving.
Fun easy read.
