One single mom. One chaotic family. One quirky stranger. One irresistible love story from the New York Times bestselling author of The Giver of Stars Suppose your life sucks. A lot. Your husband has done a vanishing act, your teenage stepson is being bullied, and your math whiz daughter has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that you can’t afford to pay for. That’s Jess’s life in a nutshell—until … Jess’s life in a nutshell—until an unexpected knight in shining armor offers to rescue them. Only Jess’s knight turns out to be Geeky Ed, the obnoxious tech millionaire whose vacation home she happens to clean. But Ed has big problems of his own, and driving the dysfunctional family to the Math Olympiad feels like his first unselfish act in ages . . . maybe ever.
One Plus One is Jojo Moyes at her astounding best. You’ll laugh, you’ll weep, and when you flip the last page, you’ll want to start all over again.

Loved the quirky characters, the unusual story…Love all her books!
Enjoyed this book about a group of unique and diverse people and a dog being thrust together for, what seems, a never ending car trip. Along the way, they find that they really do need and like one another. Well developed characters and attention to detail. Personally, didn’t care for the F word through out the book, but the story line and the characters made it were worth reading.
Satisfying read but nothing profound.
I enjoyed the book with all the twists and turns. Not always believable but echoes the depth of the mothers love for her child and the extremes she will go to to protect her children.
A wacky road trip book with quirky characters and a worthy goal.
I loved the characters, their quirkiness, and the way they developed throughout the story. This story of a down-on-its luck family, their support for one another, and their journey to resolve their challenges, was heartwarming. At times, I was teary as I read about the heartbreaking situations they sometimes faced, but I was rooting for them to find happiness. I couldn’t put this book down until I was finished – HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Always enjoy the different subjectS JoJo Moyes gives us.
Love all Moyes work.
Don’t miss this story!
I love all JoJo Moyes books. She has an entertaining whimsical style and I enjoy books written in a British vernacular. It’s worth your time.
Unusual characters come together
Loved this book. A it slow at first but then could not put it down.
Story was entertaining. Definitely unrealistic but that’s ok. That’s why it’s called fiction. An enjoyable read.
A truly gifted writer. So impressed, and entertained, with all the author’s books.
Thank you Jojo for this wonderful book. I read it in one day and wanted more. I could relate to the single mother, Jessica and my heart broke for her and her children. But of all the characters I absolutely loved Norman, the dog! Ed proved to me that sometimes being so intelligent and self absorbed is not always a good thing. Glad he saw the light at the end. Great book. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
This started out slow but I grew to like the characters and it wound up being a lot better than I thought it would be as I’m usually not that fond of romance/chick lit.
This was a fun read and I enjoyed it!
My favorite book of hers so far! I highly recommend!
Wonderful story telling but you can’t predict where the story will go. I love John Moyes. Can’t get enough of her books.
I loved it!
