This story had me smiling and crying, sometimes at the same time. I was touched by this second chance tale. Both Holly and Ethan had lost a dear person, her husband and his friend. With some help from the beyond, she found her way out of her grief and toward another soulmate. The words brought out my emotions, but I did not want to stop reading. The HEA was worth all the kleenex I used. I highly recommend this story.
I received an ARC as a gift, and this is my unsolicited review.
A Fantastic Christmas Read
I just finished this with a very Happy Sigh and tears in my eyes. All good I assure you!
This has been a great series weaving true love into a beloved classic. A 2nd chance at love, all the emotions of letting go and living again for both Holly and Ethan, embracing the past, living the present and faith for the future.
I loved it all!
After reading ‘Temptations of Christmas Future’ I was concerned that in spite of everything, Cameron had still messed up. He wants to have eternity with his wife, but she has to accept that she has another soulmate out there and they have to connect so they can all be together. Somehow he has to make this right, he just doesn’t know how.
Holly has done what she needed and yet she’s sad that this would be the last Christmas she gets to see Cameron. She and Ethan have become much closer this past year, but he loves her and she just wants to be friends.
Ethan gets a visit from Cameron, to say he’s surprised is an understatement. What Cameron is asking of him really isn’t a hardship since he loves Holly, but he’s not entirely sure the methods put forth will work.
Mac, the cat plays a big part in this book as well.
As Ethan makes a bit more progress with Holly, Christmas Eve arrives and with it Cameron, there are no other spirits this year.
With Ethan and Holly in tow, Cameron makes the effort to correct the mistakes he made.
I loved the way this plays out, many revelations and we do learn more about Mac.
A wonderful Christmas tale, with laughter, love, tears and so much more!
I have read all the Christmas books but this was far the best one. Holly struggled with Cam death. It’s hard to move on until you can settle all your griefs. It took the last Christmas for Cam to show Holly second love can happen and she can open her heart for someone else. Ethan lost not just Cam but Holly. Being a good friend he helped them all move on and get the Happy Ever after.
One Of A Kind Christmas by Lexi Post is a fantastic holiday story with a twist of paranormal. Ms. Post has delivered a book that is well-written. The characters are outstanding and just plain lovable. Holly’s husband died four years ago but has visited her every Christmas since his death, but this year will be his last visit. Ethan has been in love with Holly since her husband, his best friend’s death. Cameron’s spirit appears to push them together, but will his efforts help or hinder the romance? Ethan and Holly’s story is loaded with drama, humor, spirits and spice. I enjoyed every page of One Of A Kind Christmas and look forward to my next book by Lexi Post. One Of A Kind Christmas is book 4 of the A Christmas Carol Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
This paranormal take on a classic will have your emotions all over the place! If you enjoy winter re-watches of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol (and even if you don’t and you just enjoy PNR) this book makes for a fantastic cozy up by the fire with a warm drink and a blanket read.
Want Christmas miracles you need to read this book. Lexi Postt has written a Christmas series that you will love to read. The characters pull you in and you can feel the emotions as you turn the pages. Grab a warm drink your favorite throw and let Let Lexi take into the dream world of love and Christmas. You will really want to read all these books and her other books.
One of a Kind Christmas is the final book in Post’s ‘A Christmas Carol’ series. This story concludes her cleverly crafted version of the tale of widow letting go of the past, learning to live again and grab ahold of a new future. As with the previous books, there is a spirit guide to show the widow visions of what was and may be…different variations of her life, enlightenment of past events and a brief look into possible futures depending on the path she chooses. This is a very enchanting story full of sadness, joy, hope, regret, bittersweet memories, and love. The characters are engaging and the story well-written and enjoyable.
For the past three years Holly has been visited by her late husband’s spirit along with different spirits of Christmas past, present and future. They have shown her glimpses of her life to help her cope with the loss of her husband and hopefully be able to move on. The one thing she has looked forward to each Christmas was being visited by her love, Cameron, but this year will be different. This will be the last year she is able to see him and she does not understand why. In her mind, their love is just as strong as ever and she does not want to let go. She has her dear friend, Ethan, whom she can reminisce with regarding her late husband; since they were all close and then each Christmas see her husband’s spirit. For her, aside from dealing with his loss, life is good. She does not understand why Cameron is pushing her away and she hopes she can change his mind and be able to stay.
For Cameron, the last few years have been just as hard. Aside from sending spirits to help his widow accept his loss and move on, he has troubles of his own. He has a plan for Holly’s future but has to work to get all parties involved on board before time runs out. And toss in a bargain he struck with Rem, his boss, along with his regular work duties to keep up, he definitely has his hands full this Christmas. Having glimpsed the possible futures of his wife and the more unclear they are the more worried he becomes. He has to get her to accept his loss and move on to a new future before it is too late and the decision affects more than just her future but those entwined with her as well. The only problem is, when push comes to shove is it just Holly that needs to let go or does Cameron still have issues of his own?
I really enjoyed this story and the characters. It was exciting watching Holly’s journey and growth throughout the read and I really liked Ethan, he was charming and a great friend and Cameron’s character even grew on me, though there were a few times in this book I was a tad irritated with him for his decisions; but overall everything worked out as it should have. Though this book is part of a series, it can be enjoyed as a stand-alone read. There is plenty of drama and romance, a few close calls, heartwarming memories, new beginnings and everlasting love that spans throughout time. It was a fun read to add to the holiday season. *I received an Advanced Reader’s Copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving my honest review. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
True love has a way of coming back…
In the fourth and final installment of Lexi Post’s twist on a holiday classic, young widow Holly has taken the advice of the spirits of Past, Present & Future. She’s working on overcoming the grief from the loss of her husband, Cameron, by beginning to live beyond the four walls of her shop and home. By being shown that she was not the only one feeling the loss of Cameron, Holly finally accepts invites from long-time friend, Ethan Stewart. Over time, Ethan and Holly help each other heal, and their friendship begins to transform into something more. But even with the knowledge of what could be, it’s still hard to let go of the past.
This reader has anxiously awaited the ending to Lexi Post’s A Christmas Carol series. One of a Kind Christmas is a beautifully told tale of love and loss and, of course, a magical happily ever after. Loved and highly recommend!

Each Christmas since her husband Cameron’s untimely death, Holly Douglas has been shown the past, present, and possible future by her husband’s Spirit Guides. This is to be the last Christmas Cameron will be able to come to her. Holly must make a decision which can ultimately affect her eternal choices. Will she make the right one? Can someone really have more than one soulmate?
Ethan Stewart has loved Holly for years and, since Cameron’s death, tried unsuccessfully to keep her in his life until this past year. This is the Christmas Cameron needs him to help Holly move on, or so he says. What’s really driving Cameron’s motivation to help Holly? Is Ethan willing to fight to keep Holly in his life?
This is a unique and very delightful take on a classic. This romance has a little of everything from both the mortal and spirit worlds. There’s plenty of drama and conflict, spirit travel through time and space, heartwarming moments, celestial confrontation, a close call on an icy bridge, and a potentially fleeting chance for everlasting love. I challenge anyone to not get teary at the end. Although this is a wrap up of the series, it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone. I highly recommend this very appealing love story!
