I wake up with a blue-eyed angel by my side,
And she looks at me like I’m worth something.
I don’t even know her.
And clearly, she doesn’t know me,
I’m nothing but trouble.
But her touch takes away my pain.
Her smile rocks my world.
But she can’t be with a man who kills for sport.

Love filthy talking Irish mob bosses who can melt your panties with just a look? One More Night is a full-length standalone Irish mob romance with no cheating, no cliffhangers and a guaranteed HEA!more
I like this one better than the first one. Ivy and her brother are in danger, due to her association with Shae. Two mafia families at war, it can’t end pretty. This was a fast, action packed read. We’re left with a little cliff hanger at the end, so I look forward to the next one.
Entertaining and Engaging Read
As an avid reader of KB Winters books, I enjoy the fact that each one is an action-packed tale filled with sexy times and a plot that keeps you turning the pages in rapid succession. Shae and Ivy’s story, the second book in the Connelly Crime Family series, does not disappoint as it contains all the elements of a great story – an unexpected love connection, the push/pull of strong personalities, a strong family dynamic, and an ending that has you clamoring for the next book as soon as you read “The End”.
Ivy has lost family in the past and is over protective/paranoid about her brother. At the hospital, visiting her brother Shae literally lands at her feet.
Caught up in immediate attraction and his charm, danger is never far away. Pulled into his dangerous life by lust, her brother becomes a victim in this mob war.
Shae is a love/bang/leave’em type of guy, and a tumultuous as their “non-relationship” is they can’t stay away from each other.
When feelings develope, both run in different directions for different reasons, but eventually the heart wins all.
Great story and characters! Bring on the next Irish charmer!
This is book 2 in the Connelly Crime Family series and it features Shae Connelly and Ivy. Shae is one stubborn, determined man. I don’t think Ivy knew what she was getting into with him, except for one night of pleasure. Their chemistry was unbelievably explosive! I love watching these big, tough, alpha men fight the good fight against falling in love because when they fall, they fall HARD! I think my favorite part of this book/series is listening to all the guys talk when they have their get-togethers. There’s something very sexy and charming about these Irish mobsters.
This is another fantastic, smooth flowing story line and characters are absolutely fabulous. I can’t wait for the next book in the Connelly Crime Family series.
This is another fabulous story by KB Winters, she certainly knows how to deliver suspenseful romances that grab you from the first page, Ivy is visiting her brother when Shae Connelly is dumped outside the hospital in front of her, all beat up and left for dead, she gets help and stays with him in the hospital until he wakes, as Ivy is visiting her brother, she also decides to keep checking on Shae, but when his enemies find him, can he protect her too?
This is the second book in the Connelly Crime Family and I am loving it, I cannot wait for book 3.
I received a copy from Bad Boy Update Reviews, and I am voluntarily leaving my own honest opinion
With the memory of her parents’ death in a car crash still stinging, Ivy is overwrought that a crash has almost taken her brother, Ian, as well. When she is given the okay to see him after surgery, she is in tears of happiness but also wants to hit him! How dare he put her in this horrific position! She shows herself to be the loving, doting sister who would do anything for her sometimes adolescent brother, however, by offering to go to a nearby diner to get him some food. When leaving the hospital, Ivy witnesses a man being thrown from a van and runs to his side. He’s been beaten bloody and she springs into action to get him inside to safety. The Milano crime family is on the brink of war with the Connelly Irish mob. The Milanos want more of the pie that the Connellys control so Lorenzo Milano sends two of his grandsons, Frank and Gio, to give them a message by roughing up Shae. The last thing Shae sees before losing consciousness is Gio and Frank kicking his head. Ivy sits by his bedside, waiting for him to regain consciousness. When they make eye contact, there’s an instantaneous connection but it will be interesting to see how far it goes. Shae doesn’t do relationships, he does one night stands. There’s a chance he might make an exception with Ivy. In the meantime, Patrick Connelly, patriarch of the Irish mob, is enraged at the audacity of the Milanos and is ready to send a message to Lorenzo. The mafia connection is tightly written and shows how close-knit the families are. Shae doesn’t give up on Ivy, but seems to infuriate her when he sees her. That anger turns to passion, slowly breaking down barriers. The journey to their HEA is a definite bumpy ride. The characters are so well-written that they jump off the page and there are actually no secondary characters. They all play a major part in this book about the Connellys and there is an emerging storyline for the next book in the series. Impressive!
I am loving this series! This is Shae’s story. Yes, bad boy Shae is about to be put in his place by a woman! This is a fast paced, dangerous, uber sexy romance the bad boy mob guy and woman who saved his life. I loved it!!!
Holy smokes what a story!! K.B. Winters always develops her characters perfectly and they draw me right in every.single.time!!
Poor Ivy lost her parents in a car accident and it’s just her brother, Ian, and her left. When he’s in an accident it freaks her out. He’s gone through surgery and will recover but it doesn’t make it any easier on her. She decides to go home and let him get some rest, but when she goes outside she sees a man being thrown out of a van and he’s bloody and beaten up. Of course, given her sweet, caring personality she rescues him.
Shae Connelly was caught off guard and beaten severely for that. An angel saves him and he’s grateful to her. It doesn’t hurt that she’s gorgeous. He finds out her name is Ivy and since he’s a love them and leave them kind of man, he’d totally do her!
The chemistry between Shae and Ivy was amazing! But, what will happen when Ivy finds out what Shae does for a living?
Such a great story, that had me sucked in from the beginning. I was very sad to see it end, I wanted so much more! I look forward to reading Rourke’s story!
I enjoyed this book very much. And, I was so glad there was a twist from the same-o stories making it different. But, it was just as good as the first book in this series. I’m talking about the Heroine not being kidnapped. Sometimes that’s a bit overdone. I’m looking forward to Rourke’s story next in the series. And, while K.B. Winters said this was a Trilogy series, I’m kind of hoping she turns it into a four book series so we can have Conor’s story, too.
Ms. Winters, I bow to your creativity and I am now impatiently waiting for Rourke’s book. One More Night is the most recent installment to the Connelly Crime Family series and I couldn’t devour it fast enough.
I adore every single thing K.B. publishes and there is nothing better than curling up with her work. In One More Night, you get to follow Shae Connelly and Ivy. Whew, to all of my fellow romance reader’s, this storyline, as well as the engaging characters, are going to scorch you. Ivy, inadvertently meets her true love while exiting the Hospital. She continually gets drawn in by Shae. Whether it is his charm & overall charisma or the danger that surrounds him… she is hooked. Ivy is going to rock Shae’s world with her dismissal of him. He has never been told no and this just endears him all the more. Could it be love? He is convinced it’s just lust, but why can he get her out of his thoughts? With drama and dangerous scenarios surrounding his Family as well as the combustible chemistry between them, will they make it to their happily ever after? Ivy, a strong willed woman, knows what she wants… All or nothing. She will not be used and cast aside. Read along and be as enraptured as I was with this impressive book.
I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader’s copy of One More Night in exchange for my honest & voluntarily given opinion. I can not recommend this book as well as anything written by Ms. Winters more.
arc review For honest review. When ivy brother is in a car accident she goes thinking the worst .So when he asks for food she has not a problem getting it for him, but in her way out she sees shea Connelly being throw from a van really hurt. This is a awesome story with family ,war, and so much more.
When Ivy gets the call that her younger brother is in the hospital after a wreck, she’s beside herself with worry. Shades of her parents’ fatal accident and all that. But it’s in the parking lot of the hospital where she’ll meet the man who changes her life. For the better? Hm, that just might be up for debate.
Shae is Eamon’s (Four Nights Forever) younger brother, and now he’s caught up in the feud between the Connelly family and the Italians. So him ending up being thrown from a van into the hospital parking lot isn’t all that surprising. Thank God Ivy was there to help him. And to fall in love with him, too. Now she just has to figure out if she can survive with her heart intact when Shae walks away from their “casual” arrangement that began in his hospital room.
Whew, One More Night is hot! Shae and Ivy have serious chemistry, and the fast pace and continuing storyline of the feuding families is interesting and engaging. I can’t wait for more of the Connellys!
One More Night is the second book in the Connelly Crime Family Series. Ivy witnesses Shae being dumped in the hospital parking lot after being beaten up and gets him help. Ivy stays with Shae until she knows he his okay and lets his family know so they won’t worry. Ivy is feeling out of sorts with her brother in the hospital after he survives a car crash. Ivy and Shae find themselves attracted to each other. Shae makes himself clear that he doesn’t do relationships and wants to keep things casual. Ivy knows Shae isn’t good for her, but she can’t fight the attraction she has to Shae. Ivy’s association with Shae makes her and her brother, Ian, targets for Shae’s enemies. Can Shae keep Ivy and her brother safe from Connelly enemies? Will Shae open his heart to the love he has for Ivy, or will Shae continue to push Ivy away by his skepticism that love exists? One More Night by K.B. Winters is an amazing story chalked full of drama, violence, HOT chemistry, and lots of steamy sex. I would highly recommend getting One More Night by K.B. Winters. I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.
4.5 Connelly Crime Stars
Ivy is called to the hospital, when her younger brother is in a car accident. When going out to get him food, she stumbles upon a van dumping a man at the entrance to the hospital and she calls for help. Shae wakes up to find himself in the hospital and sitting in the chair next to him a beautiful angel
Shae and Ivy have an unconventional start to their relationship, much like Layla and Eamon from the first book in this series A dramatic cliffhanger for the final book in this series and I admit I can’t wait as each book seems to get better and better
