Sweet, heartwarming. Another winner by Ms. Chase. I love this series. The two got off to a rocky start. It was sweet and funny how they met. Charlotte didn’t even know who Julian was.
But what transpires between them is beyond words. A page turner to see what happens between them. A tear jerker because Ms. Chase always makes me cry in a good way when I read her books.
See what happens and buy the book.
Do you believe that a random act of kindness can change your life?
Social worker Charlotte Clark pays it forward and buys coffee and muffins for the unkempt, cranky guy ahead of her in line at her local coffee shop. The man starts to argue with her and she smiles and responds ‘pay it forward.’ Charlotte has no clue that she’s bought Shaughnessy drummer Julian Grayson breakfast while Julian has no idea what ‘pay it forward means.’ Charlotte’s charity drew me into the story. She is genuine, compassionate person who loves the beach, her job and her community. I adored Charlotte and her desire to help people.
After leaving his cheating ex-fiancé at the altar, Julian is back in California after a three -month cross country trip. He’s angry, emotionally burned out and he’s avoiding his Shaughnessy band members; Riley, Matt and Dylan. He is so surprised that Charlotte doesn’t want something from him- an autograph, picture or a hookup. He is so jaded that he can’t accept a cup of coffee from someone without immediately thinking the worst.
People ask me why I read Samantha Chase’s novels. I ADORE her characters. I can connect with Ms. Chase’s honest, flawed characters. You might see a glimpse of your brother, sister, husband or best friend in her stories. Each character is unique and grows within the story. I connected with Charlotte and Julian’s story immediately. I loved watching this couple who seemed so very different fall in love. Loving Charlotte brought out the best in Julian. I loved the scene when he asked Charlotte what she would do if she had an entire day off. He made her dreams of reading at the beach come true; a simple but heartfelt gesture. The couple has obstacles to overcome. Julian needs to acknowledge his feelings towards his ex-fiancé and move forward. Most importantly, Julian needs to accept that Charlotte loves him; not what his money can buy her.
One More Moment is so much more than a rock band book. This novel tackles several social issues. Homelessness, unemployment, trust, communication and commitment are integral pieces of the storyline. Samantha Chase’s strong narrative voice shines in this story as Julian struggles with anger, loss and self-doubt. Even though the chemistry between the couple is off the charts, falling in love doesn’t come easy for Charlotte and Julian. Their struggles are real and their journey had several unexpected twists and turns.
If you are looking for a book with all the feels… one click ONE MORE MOMENT! I am sure you will adore this compassionate character driven story!
I enjoyed each of the Band OnThe Run novels. Each book tackled a tough subject – ill-advised career decisions, drunk driving, anger and avoidance—and wove in humor, compassion and love. I connected with each character and became immersed in their journeys. I recommend each one of the books within the series
I love it when an author love shocks me to the core. The opening of this book did just that. Julian has had a rough time with his fiancee, Dena. He has put in the effort to save and rejuvenate their relationship over and over. This time he can’t turn a blind eye. And he opens everyone’s eyes as well. My jaw had to be removed from the floor so I could read on.
Charlotte is a breath of fresh air. She is a social worker who helps people find work and in turn families to find a new normal. When she spots a down and out man at the coffee shop, she doesnt hesitate to help. She offers him work since he looks scruffy and angry, two signs of someone not dealing well. At least in Charlotte’s line of work. When he sits down next to her demanding what she wants from him, she is the one to become defensive. Julian has lost all trust in everyone. What his ex has done to him is so much more than he’ll ever admit. But he’s intrigued by Charlotte and when she offers for him to help out at the shelter, he’s curious. No one is more shocked that he shows to help than Charlotte. Thus begins their story.
Julian is angry at the world and I can understand that. Charlotte is the ying to his yang. They fit perfectly as long as she doesn’t pry. I love how they know so little about each other but still fall so hard, so fast. When he does open up to her it’s in small doses. She is beyond curious until he tells her who he really is. I adore her reaction! And it’s not what you think.
I think there are a lot of ah ha moments in this book for me. Letting go of the past, helping isn’t necessarily monetary, paying it forward, and the little things matter. This was a perfect ending to the series.
Having read all of the Band on the Run books, it’s difficult to say which is my favorite. Each band member is unique and has a special place in my heart. Julian is the angry one. Dylan is the party animal. Matt is full of himself. And Riley is the go getter and leader. By the end of this series they have all changed. The women who love them have a bit to do with that but so does trying and failing.
One More Moment was a heartwarming and captivating read from beginning to end. Once I started I didn’t want to stop until I knew how Charlotte and Julian’s story would end. I have to say I absolutely loved this book. I mean what’s not to love about an amazing “feel good” read that leaves you with a giant smile on your face?
I have to admit that opening scene with Julian shocked me and then had me hysterically laughing. I pretty much fell for him from just that chapter alone. Down on his luck and not knowing who to trust Julian can’t believe his luck when someone offers to “pay it forward” and help him out.
Charlotte is a sweet, hardworking social worker who decides to help an unfortunate stranger. Intrigued by Charlotte and her failure to recognize him Julian can’t help but want to know more about her. I loved the bond that formed between these two and how relatable their characters were. Charlotte was the perfect match for Julian and I enjoyed how she opened his eyes up to the world around him and helped him learn that life is what you make it. I really enjoyed watching the growth Julian underwent throughout this book.
Charlotte and Julian’s story gave me all the feels and had me laughing, swooning, a tad irritated, teary eyed, and everything in between. Jam packed with tons of emotion, a stubborn rocker you can’t help but love and a social worker with a heart of gold One More Moment is a heartwarming and highly entertaining read you won’t want to miss!
One More Moment is a book that will renew your faith in true love. I hate to see this series end but Ms. Chase has finished on top with this story. Julian and Charlotte’s love story shows that even misunderstandings in coffee shops can lead to your true love. With this series ending I really want to know what Ms. Chase will come up with next.
One More Moment is book three in the Shaughnessy Brothers: Band on the Run series. Wow, this book sucked me right in. Julian and Charlotte are such a genuine couple, and you literally feel like you are right in the story with them. I absolutely loved this story, and I definitely recommend it.
Have you ever seen one of those social media videos in which a groom gets revenge that totally stuns not only their cheating bride but everyone else at the wedding? This is what was exactly what came to my mind when I was reading about Julian.
He walked out from his wedding ceremony and detached from everything, his ex-fiance, his band, his old life.
A chance meeting has Charlotte Clark buying Julian’s coffee. Julian, who is disillusioned with his life, someone always wanting something from him, has a hard time excepting that she wants nothing from him. He’s drawn to her and to being basically unknown.
Charlotte basically gives her all to help others to get back on their feet and feels Julian is another person needing her help. Her positive outlook in life slowly reflects in Julian’s. He realizes that he has to deal with the unhealthy dynamics of his own upbringing before he can have a possible healthy relationship.
I absolutely loved how this book unfolded. It has such a great ‘feel good’ vibe to the story. Love how all the band mates and their ladies get involved to help the community.
What an amazing addition to the Shaughnessy series! Talk about saving the best for last. I have been anxiously awaiting Julian’s story and Samantha did not disappoint. I was completely wrapped up in his story from the very beginning. Samantha has a way with her writing that pulls you in to the story. Not only making it easy for you to visualize everything happening, but also pulls you in emotionally. You feel what the characters are feeling. You laugh with them, cry with them, feel the struggles and successes. You fall in love right along with them.
Charlotte is exactly what Julian needed and watching their love blossom was emotional and beautiful. It was heartfelt and realistic. The chemistry and pull was undeniable. I loved seeing Julian heal and grow and learn to trust again.

I’m so sad to see this series end, but what an ending it had with this book!!! It sucked me in from the start, and I couldn’t put it down. Julian was a bit of a broken hero that you will fall in love with in no time, along with wanting to reach in and shake him a bit lol. He’s sexy, and he’s got this sweet side that will have you swooning. Charlotte is an awesome heroine. She’s strong, sweet, and seriously has a heart of gold. She has no problem putting Julian in his place, but doesn’t go overboard and push him when he doesn’t want it.
This story will have you laughing, tearing up, and swooning! I would definitely recommend one clicking!!
I recieved a NetGalley copy to review.
I have been waiting not so patiently for this story. I love this series and everyone in the band. Samantha Chase weaves the lives of all of the bank though the story so you feel connected to everyone you fell in love with before. Let’s talk about Julian. Poor guy has had some issues and at times I wanted to strangle him but in the end he’s on the top of my list of favorite loves in the band. I have a thing for drummers and he would be the man except for the fact that Riley will ALWAYS be number one. I loved the series and the story. Samantha Chase always delivers!
So let me tell you what THE best part of this book was ….. Charlotte Clark! What an incredible character this author created. And a perfect match for our hero. This woman was everything we all aspire to be …strong and independent, the glass was always half full and sunshine peeked thru cloudy skies. Man, I loved her! And yes, Julian is likeable also but Charlotte … yeah. She made this story stand out.
The last of the Band on the Run stories packed a bit of a punch on all fronts. It was bittersweet knowing this was the last book in the series but the author made sure to throw in past characters in the journey for us to make it that much more meaningful. This series has been a hit for me from the beginning. It has made my heart smile from the beginning.
I’ve said this in every review of this series and it still stands now: This was another high ranking **happy sigh** book that shouldn’t be missed by this author. It will make you feel good no matter what’s going on in your life 🙂
Amazing story of strength and courage. Watching Charlotte help Julienne see that love isn’t about what material things you can give, but about all the things you can give for free that mean so much more. Charlottes work with the homeless shelter was very touching and heart felt. Julienne was so hurt by the things Dena had done to him, that it made him struggle with his self worth. Amazing wonderful story
Fabulous beach read!
From the first pages of this book (the prologue was explosively fabulous), I fell in love with this story and knew that I’d thoroughly enjoy the story of Julian and how he finally learns to forgive, give and truly love. Julian finally decides to leave his current toxic relationship, and he does so in a very embarrassing and public way that his fiancée did not see coming! I cheered, believing Julian recognized the mistake he’d made in loving Dena and seeing that she was not a kind person with his love and respect first in her life.
After taking 3 months to “find himself”, Julian returns to real life. The first morning, he decides to go to the coffee house down the street/beach but he forgot his wallet! Charlotte steps up to pay for his breakfast, believing he is a man with no job and perhaps down-on-his-luck. On the other hand, Julian thinks Charlotte wants something from him (he believes everyone wants fame, money or a chance in the music industry from him). However, Charlotte doesn’t have a clue who he is, nor does she care! She helps people with no regard who they are.
Julian is drawn to Charlotte, so much so that he goes to the shelter where she’s working to give a little of his time to make things better there. As Julian spends more time with Charlotte, he realizes how much he enjoys her take on life, her independence and her desire to give back. Charlotte recognizes a hurt soul in Julian, and she tries to help him recognize what he needs to do to help him get past the embarrassment and pain from his past and help him move back to his professional life. But in the process, she losses her heart to him, while he purposely tries to disregard her attempts…until he no longer can.
This story is sweet, sizzling and another great story pulling you into the lives of Julian and Charlotte, the Shaughnessy band members and their manager. I highly recommend!!
Thank you to NetGalley and Samantha Chase for the opportunity to read and review an ARC of this book. I am providing my honest review.

Julian and Charlotte~
Julian is a member of the Shaughnessy band. His ex-fiancée cheated on him.
Charlotte is a vocational rehabilitation counselor.
Julian orders a coffee and two muffins then realizes he forgot his wallet. Charlotte is the next customer in line and offers to pay for Julian’s order. Julian thinks she wants something but Charlotte is a good genuine person and doesn’t realize who he is…
“Amazing what the love of a good man could do. And one of the things he did to show he loved her was to be concerned for her mental and physical well-being.”
I really enjoyed this story from the first page on. I couldn’t put it down. Julian and Charlotte were perfect for each other. Julian, hiding from the world and Charlotte out to save the world! The first chapter is total genius. My mouth dropped open and then I wanted to applaud! And then Julian goes on a road trip to try and clear his head. Upon his return, he has a clash of sorts with Charlotte who has no idea that he is the famous rock star which is refreshing to Julian. Their story is sweet and sexy. All the “Band on the Run” books were awesome, standalone, but “One More Moment” I think was my favorite.
Rockstar Julian Grayson is taking time out from his normal life, Jaded and heartbroken, by a gold digging cheating Fiance, he really just wants to be left alone and re evaluate his life. This is a man who has learned to trust no one, after all people just want to know or be with him because of his Fame, right? Jaded and sceptical of everyone, when he forgets his wallet at a coffee shop and a beautiful young woman pays for his coffee, he can’t be blamed for thinking she has ulterior motives, and thinking she’s recognised him and is “after Something”.
Social Worker Charlotte Clark is everything Julian hasn’t experienced. She’s natural, kind, heart of gold, genuine, infact i loved this character. She doesn’t recognise him, she’s just a girl that will help anyone if she feels she can. Julian is captivated by her, and wants to get to know her so he lets her keep her first impressions of him, and doesn’t make her aware that he isn’t a homeless person down on his luck.
This is such a sweet heartwarming love story, with characters you can’t fail to love. Julian has many issues to deal with, and i loved the journey he took and how each step of their relationship just felt so natural, growing into a love story that will melt your heart. It’s not always easy let go of the past and what i loved most was this book, was that it all felt so real, nothing over dramatic yet it was full of emotion, and just two people who really were soul mates. From Strangers, to Friends to Lovers, and captivating the whole way. Loved it, this is the kind of Romance that restores your faith !!!!!
5 STARS FOR JULIAN AND CHARLOTTE!! Here we go again….I LOVED THIS BOOK!! I always feel my reviews don’t do this phenomenal authors books any justice. Julian and Charlotte’s story is beautiful, sweet, sexy and full of feels. This series just keeps getting better, I think this is my favorite so far. Do yourself a favor and 1-Click this book.
I have been in LOVE with the Shaughnessy family since Made For Us and I can honestly say that I was heartbroken that the series was coming to an end but little did I know that Ms. Chase had saved the ABSOLUTE BEST for last!!! We finally get Julian’s story and after everything that he’s been through he decided to take a break. He walks into a coffee shop one day looking a little worse for wear and not like a famous rock star and when he goes to pay for his coffee and realizes he forgot his wallet Charlotte pays for it without a second thought. Julian can’t believe that she doesn’t recognize him or want something from him. Charlotte sees someone she assumes is down on their luck and steps in to help because that’s who she is. After all that Julian has been through he needs someone inherently good like Charlotte. Ms. Chase truly outdid herself in the journey we get to go on together with Julian and Charlotte. I don’t want to give away any spoilers but this book is a MUST READ!!!! I think it’s also my new favorite by the AMAZING Ms. Chase. I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
Julian was the last of the band members to tell his story in One More Moment, and Wow what a story it was. He finally realized what a toxic relationship he was in and was able to get out of it but it had really messed with him. During that time he happened to meet Charlotte who is he most kind and caring women. Something Julian is definitely not used to. I absolutely LOVE Julian’s journey, I could not put this book down. It was one of those books that it is so good you want to keep reading, but also you don’t really want to finish it because than it will be over. This book had so many emotions throughout. It had my heart pounding, heart melting, had me smiling and laughing, getting a bit anger in parts and even tearing up a bit. The epilogue in the this book is also one of the best, especially if you have read the whole series, it’s the perfect way to end it. One More Moment was a wonderful read I highly recommend!!
From the moment you open and start reading this book you are pulled in their world. You meet Julian, drummer in Shaughnessy Band and Charlotte, who is a social worker, wanting to save the world, one person at the time. When she meets Julian, he looks like one of the people she helps. He doesn’t trust her, because he didn’t meet person who he can trust in a long time, everybody wants something from him. He is drawn to Charlotte, wants to know her more and more, same with her. They need each other, they are happy together. Wonderful ending to the band series, you meet characters from other books. Love it.
