I’m a billionaire, I’m a chaser, I’m a wolf. I worked too hard to get where I am now, so I don’t need any distractions, especially the one called LOVE.Don’t get me wrong, I love and enjoy sex, but all I need to do to have a fuck is to show a woman my Amex Black Card and let her hear my Italian accent and here we go: a one-night stand guaranteed.Everything worked just fine for me until a chance … fine for me until a chance meeting with her —Angelica Sorreno — when she came back into my life. She is like a strong, terrifying tsunami that blows everything in its way.
She asked me for help and I agreed, but only because we were friends, and not because I used to have feelings for her.
It’s just that…
I’ve made a mistake, a huge one: I’ve tasted her and she happened to have the most delicious pussy I’ve ever tried.
Now I don’t think I can let her go that easily.

Ok. I struggled to get into this book at first.
My first impression was that our heroine, Angie, is spoilt. I didn’t like her very much, but as I got further into the book I realize why she was like she was. She grew on me. All she wants is to save the company that has been in her family all her life.
Ricardo is so hot. I liked him instantly. The chemistry between them is instant and can almost burn you through the book. I loved it, and I loved the way Ricardo helped her relax. Not be so uptight. And she, in turn, helps open his eyes regarding his own business. They help each other.
But…but…but….that cliffhanger!!! I need to know what happens next!
Overall the story was captivating and kept my attention once I was able to get past the beginning and I enjoyed it.
This is such a good and steamy easy read hat deals with Angelica and Riccardo. They have known each other for years but since the last time she saw Riccardo he has grown into this amazingly handsome man and CEO that may be her only hope in saving her father’s company. They have an intense chemistry that is tangible, and it keeps you intrigued throughout this book. This was a first time I have read a book by this author and this does end on a cliffhanger that makes crave more.
This is the first book by this author, and I was impressed. Ricardo and Angelica went to school together, he had a huge crush on her, but she thought he had a crush on her sister. That’s a big no. They were such great friends when they were younger, but she started dating someone else, and he went away to college and cut all contact with her. Her father’s company isn’t doing well, so she and her dad meet he and his father.
This was a safe read. Book 1 of 3, so it leaves it with a bit of a cliffhanger. I adored Ricardo, Angelica was a bit spoiled, but he more than made up for her. These two had good chemistry, and were hot af when they came together. Really good first book for this author.
Congratulations to Kate J. Blake on this amazing debut novel.
One Month Only is dual POV giving great insight into the main characters’ heads and feelings.
The story builds up, it sizzles then explodes then ends on a cliffhanger…now I want more.
SOME SPOILERS
Ricardo is a successful Italian family business man, he’s lived in London for over a decade, his mom’s sick so he’s back in his hometown for one month.
His mother wants him married with children, but he’s a one-nighter man, will that all change when he walks back into Angie’s life, he loved her when they were teenagers, but she was oblivious, will trying to help save her family’s business from going under and making a deal with her backfire on him?
Angie will do anything for her dad and the family business, she’s a people-pleaser, her dad wants to sell but she doesn’t want to lose the job she loves. When Ricardo offers to help find a solution, on one condition, she has to pretend to date him to please his mother, he’s sexy, and she’s willing to help, so it’s a no-brainer for her. How can she say no?
Will this be the deal if a lifetime for them both?
Or will everything go south and down the pan?
Light and entertaining. For some light-hearted and sensual escapism, this romance hits the mark.
The fact that the couple is Italian and the setting is in FLorence made my heart flutter with romanticism. Ricardo is back from London with success and good looks like an expensive perfume around him. He has expanded his father’s wine business like a pro, and now is in the position to help an old acquaintance. Excitingly enough, it’s a beautiful woman whom he used to pine over as a teen. So many regrets and stolen desires there!
Ricardo and Angelica start an easy interaction as they try to salvage her father’s company. I liked to know the ins and outs of their jobs and the people they work with. Also, wines and food decorate some lovely scenes where the characters get to know each other. The atmosphere is playful and fast, so is the attraction that’s growing between them. As the business plans progress, there comes a passionate scene that really made the engines roar! Loved it so much.
As any story worth its salt, a little drama pops up to shake things for the new lovers. It was well planted and it cut the evolution of the relationship in just the right moment to fret. It’s a short book with a swift plot and appealing scenarios. So, yes, I want to read more to see what happens to this gorgeous Italian couple and their exciting romance.
This debut novel by Kate J. Blake is sweet, sexy, and very enjoyable!! Ricardo and Angelica’s deliciously slow burning attraction is 5 alarm hot! I cannot wait for their story to continue. One Month Only is a solid start that leaves me looking forward to more from this newly emerging and well written author!
One Month Only is the first book in the Tuscany Nights series.
I adored this book – everything from the storyline to the characters drew me in and kept me wanting more.
The connection between Ricardo and Angie was palpable, so steamy and perhaps a little dreamy because come on, who wouldn’t want a hot Italian billionaire to swoon over (and Richardo is totally swoonworthy).
This book was a fairly quick read for me which I loved – it wasn’t too short nor was it drawn out – Kate J. Blake knew exactly where to leave you hanging and craving more and girl I’m definitely craving more! I can’t wait to get my hands on Book 2!
One Month Only is the first book in the Tuscany Night series by K.J. Blake. The story focuses on the characters Angelica and Ricardo. Ricardo is a wealthy CEO who is taking a break from his work to look after his sick mother. Enter Angelica who needs help with her father’s company. What makes this story relatable is the fact that Ricardo and Angie are old friends so there is a genuine connection between the two as well as red hot chemistry
.
This book is an easy a steamy read which is made all the better because the characters have such a connection and the drama is more ‘real life’ drama than anything that is too out there. There are some really good steamy scenes, but OMG there is a cliff-hanger! So, you’ll have to wait for the next part to see what happens. This book is the debut for new author K.J. Blake and she should totally be on your ‘must read’ list!
ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review
More of my reviews can be found on my blog: https://thehotmesslibrary.blogspot.com
This was a quick light read .
It’s a slow burn romance between richardo a wealthy CEO who is taking a break from his work as his mum is sick and Angie who is wanting to save her dads company .
They knew each other from childhood and haven’t seen each other in a while and their story becomes very will they won’t they back and forward. There is some chemistry between them but they seem very insecure throughout most of the book.
I found Richardo to be inconsistent at times one minute he was confident and the next he really wasn’t . Then when they finally got together he became a bit bossy but not .. I just didn’t quite connect with him.
I also get frustrated when a series gets broken up into several books when I don’t think it’s really needed . Really I felt that this story was only just getting started for it to end on a negative and I have to go find the next book to continue the story . So I’m in the fence at the moment about whether I want to continue their story at the moment . I think I will just to see where it goes though .
New to me author Kate J. Blake has delivered an astounding read with One Month Only. She has brought everything to the table in this billionaire romance and I am no doubt am wanting more.
When billionaire Ricardo wants, he wants fierce and there’s nothing that can stand in his way. That is until Angelica Sorreno is sitting in wait. When asked to help, he finds it an offer he can’t refuse – old friends are hard to deny it seems.
Will this deal they’ve struck end up reigniting the affection he once held for her or will he destroy everything in his path?
I was so excited when I started reading this book. I can’t help but love a good steamy romance. Falling for Ricardo and Angie isn’t hard and their flirty banter is quite entertaining at times.
If you like a contemporary billionaire romance, this will be up your alley.
I recommend this.
One Month Only is Kate J Blake’s debut novel. She did an amazing job creating this world with well developed characters. I found it to be a fun and quick read.
Angie is a strong, independent woman who is looking for ways to keep her father from selling their family business. Ricardo is a family friend, who Angie grew up with. She turns to Ricardo for to help her save the family business.
There is a lot of steamy parts and you are left with one hell of a cliff hanger. I would love to see where this story goes.
What a cliffhanger! Ricardo and Angie grew up together and while he had a huge crush on her as a kid, she’s shocked at how he’s grown up. Instant undeniable chemistry, he agrees to help her attempt to save her family’s business, and through that also spend time and get to know her in an attempt to start a romance and/or relationship. When they finally decide to act on the feelings and potentially start a relationship, a miscommunication happens and Angie runs, leaving us with such a cliffhanger. I wish the book was longer because there were so many questions I have to be answered, but it definitely makes me eager to read the next book. This was more of an establishing book, and while it was a little confusing, I think that the confusion combined with the cliffhanger will all be resolved in the next book.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
One Month Only is kind of a second chance romance, but not. I suppose it’s more that it’s a second chance in Ricardo’s mind. Either way, the story is pretty lighthearted overall. There is some angst, but it’s not over the top even as we get to that cliffy – a cliffy that comes out of nowhere! It is a quick read, and I suppose I’d say this first Tuscany Nights book is sort of an introduction to the characters and the beginning of their relationship. That said, I struggled a bit with these two. Both feel a little immature? innocent? Naive, I guess that one says it best. I just don’t get the vibe of adult business people from these two, especially Ricardo. I had a hard time finding a connection with Ricardo, and maybe that naivety is the reason? Maybe it’s that I didn’t see the chaser or the wolf described in the blurb. I’m really not sure, to be honest, but something about this character just didn’t work for me, and while I started warming a little toward the end, I didn’t quite get there. And that pretty much sums up this relationship for me. I will say that as a debut, Kate Blake certainly shows talent, and even though this one wasn’t the book for me, I’ll be interested to see this author’s growth with future books. I also have to add that her timing on that cliffy was terrific. It was just right for leaving the reader dying for whatever’s next.
I really enjoyed Kate.J Blake’s debut novel One Month Only! The story line was good the heat and sexiness was just right! I loved Angie and Ricardo and enjoyed the other characters! All l say is bring on book2 soon please! Thankyou Kate for gifting me this book!
Hot, romantic, witty, great characters! One Month Only was such a fun read! Taking a chance on a new author is always a gamble but Kate J. Blake killed it! Ricardo reminds me of the amazing Italian heroes of a Harlequin Romance novel. I love those books, and this took me right back. I instantly fell in love with Ricardo but also with Angie! With her drive to save the family business she strikes a deal with an old friend, Ricardo, and quickly they both see their connection is more than just friendship. I really did love this book, I read it in one sitting I couldn’t put it down! I can’t wait for book 2!! Highly recommend!
