That awkward moment when an ER doctor has to inform you that you’re pregnant…with his baby.Three things Lynsey Jones knows about the hot doctor: he’s grouchy, an arrogant jerk, and strangely obsessed with pie.Three things Dr. Dick knows: he doesn’t talk about his past, he doesn’t do relationships, and the crazy girl in the hospital cafeteria who ate a fistful of French silk pie…is annoyingly … pie…is annoyingly irresistible.
After a chance meetup at a bar and a heated cab ride together, things come to a head and now instead of hating each other, they’re horizontal in a bed.
Three months later, the weird cafeteria stalker who crept out of Dr. Dick’s house like a thief in the night, winds up as his patient in the ER after her Tinder date from hell.
Dr. Dick is prepared to keep it cool and professional. That is until her bloodwork reveals that she’s pregnant.
What really throws him for a loop…is that the surprise baby…is his.

Classic Amy Daws!
One Moment Please has the laughs, the lows, the quirk, the grump, the steam, the team. All the things we’ve come to love and expect from Amy Daws!
Amy Daws has swiftly become one of my favorite “go-to” authors. Her style and wit have hooked me and I truly am addicted to her words. I was hoping that “Lynsey” would get her own book and I was not disappointed. This Rom-Com about a one night stand gone seriously wrong is not only hilarious but at the same time emotionally challenging. I was merrily reading along the story line, laughing at the antics of Lynsey and shaking my finger at the aloofness of Josh aka Dr. Dick. What I was not expecting was the angst and emotional challenge that Amy was going to throw in. I loved this book for not only the laughter but also the tears. I hope she will consider a book for Dean and maybe even Max now as I want to spend some more time with the gang in Boulder and at Tires, Tires, Tires.

I received an ARC for review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Dr. Joshua Richardson has shut himself off from being able to love or care too much for someone. Still punishing himself for something that happened in his past is now hurting his future with his baby mama Lynsey Jones.
Lynsey Jones has finished school with her master’s and is now job hunting, but with no money, a house she must vacate soon and a baby on the way…things aren’t exactly going as planned. Especially with her alpha baby daddy telling her she is going to move in with him.
Will Josh be able to get over his past so he can fully enjoy his future? Will Lynsey have enough and start to move on with her life?
“Love is what makes life worth living”
You must read the book or the blurb to know what Lynsey really calls Josh. I do want this review to go up on Amazon and not be denied, so I am keeping it PG. I love Lynsey, her free spirit and her attack on handling problems is on point. However, Josh had me wanting to smack him upside his head like Leroy Jethro Gibbs does to Tony and Tim. Eventually Josh won me over and I love him.
Side note….I craved French Silk Pie and making a charcuterie board. Pie Butt is a thing and Lynsey rocks it!
I do recommend this book. This is a standalone and I did not read the first two books in the series, but still felt caught up with the group of friends.
Best book in the series yet!!!
Oh my gosh did I love this book. Where do I even begin? This book had me captivated from the very beginning.
We met Lynsey in the first 2 books so I was so happy to have her get her own book. She is fun and the perfect amount of crazy that needs to stir up Dr. Dick’s life. When she meets up with him 3 months later, it’s never a dull moment after that! Dr. Josh Richardson has his own past to deal with but Lynsey gets under his skin in the most perfect way. I love the moment when you can see when it clicks for Josh. Can we say SWOON?!
This book had a little angst but not an over abundance. I say the perfect amount! There was so many things that Lynsey said and did that had me laughing the entire way through the book.
I love how the author is able to keep this book moving in a good timeline that didn’t feel rushed or too slow. The end didn’t even feel rushed which was such a nice relief from many other books by other authors I’ve read.
I wanted to savor this book and make it last forever but I also needed to know what happens. I think this is my favorite Amy Daws book yet.
If you’re looking for a hot doctor romcom, you should grab this, but I suggest reading Wait With Me and Next In Line first to get the full effect of this “series”.
4. 5 stars
We’re back in Boulder, Colorado with the three amigos Kate, Lynsey and Dean.
Kate of course has ridden into the sunset with tyre shop employee Miles (Wait For It).
Like Kate though, Lynsey has discovered the benefits of writing in a location other than her home office. A hospital cafeteria is her venue of choice. Her time there, although originally necessary, proved to be the ideal spot for her to concentrate on the final stages of her thesis.
Take said hospital cafeteria and the scene is well and truly set for meeting hunky hospital hotties. Unfortunately the only person to make himself known is ‘Dr Dick’.
Needless to say this isn’t the only time that Lynsey meets the grumpy doctor, I mean we all love a ‘surprise pregnancy’ storyline and well…. you can work out the next bit for yourselves!
So with the addition of an unborn child, Dr. Dick and Lynsey’s long and winding journey takes it’s fledgling steps.
This story will generate every emotion under the sun. There will be laughter, in abundance. There will be anger and jealousy and even frustration. What I wasn’t prepared for though, was the tears. I never expected the tears!
Don’t worry though, as expected, Josh and Lynsey will eventually make their way through all the stumbling blocks that are put in their way and reach their HEA.
But be prepared, you’re in for one heck of a ride! In my opinion this is Amy Daws’ best work to date! Bravo!
Amy Daws is a romcom genius, and I absolutely love every one of her books because you experience such a wide range of emotions, and you laugh your butt off at the same time. Her male leads are hysterical, not, romantic, and so swoon-worthy!
One Moment Please has you laughing from page one, but also has you sighing, crying and yelling. Lynsey is a tour-de-force, and she just wants Josh to open up so badly, but Josh is closed off for a reason. It takes a lot, but eventually they grow into the partners they are meant to be.
As with every Amy Daws book, the conversations and banter are the best. Lynsey and Josh (aka “Dr. Dick”) are written so well. They have depth and you see them grow together as a couple throughout the story. And they are surrounded by much loved characters from Wait with Me and Next In Line, so you get to revisit old friends, too.
One Moment Please by Amy Daws gave me all the feels. I absolutely loved Lynsey and Dr. Dick. From the very first page I was hooked. I love the world Amy created and I never wanted to leave.
Lynsey was the perfect match for Dr. Dick. I she called him out and wouldn’t back down. She’s also hysterical and easy to fall in love with.
This fantastic RomCom had me laughing, crying and feeling every emotion in between. I can’t wait for more from the Talented Amy Daws.
“An asshole doctor turned one-night stand turned baby daddy all because I decided to sneak into a hospital cafeteria to write.”
Passionate, intimate, witty, and heartfelt. Lynsey and Josh’s story captures everything you need to escape: heart, heat and humor.
“Your love has healed my heart in ways that I never thought possible.”
A great addition to this series. I loved this enemies to lovers/accidental pregnancy storyline. Filled with hilarious banter and sizzling hot chemistry. Lose yourself in this fun, flirty romcom with a hint of angst. Absolutely worth the read!
Amy Daws delivers again with this fantastic enemies to lovers romance that hit all the sweet spots!
One Moment Please released at just the right time when I needed to escape into a book that made me laugh while also making me feel and gave me the sweetest happily ever after. Of course it came along with some signature Daws banter and OMG laugh out loud moments which I’ve come to expect from her books but it also delivered some really poignant prose to make me fall in love with these characters.
Josh Richardson earns his nickname “Dr. Dick” because he’s well, a complete dick to Lynsey when we first meet him. I mean what do you care if she’s been sitting in the hospital cafeteria for weeks working on her thesis? It’s not like she’s been taking up space in his ER (that comes later ). But for some reason he takes offense and decides to tell her so one day, thus earning him the name Dr. Dick.
Lynsey unfortunately runs into him again later that night at a bar where his dickishness continues but it almost morphs into some crazy foreplay which yes winds up earning them a one-night stand. Flash forward weeks later poor Lynsey comes face to face with Dr. Dick once again in the ER where he tells her that she’s PREGNANT….and it happens to be his baby.
Without spoiling it, though I think it’s been a teaser for the book, the reason behind this oops pregnancy is hilarious. Of course Daw wouldn’t give us just a simple (and boring) reason like the condom broke or they forgot to use protection. Oh no, their reason for this unintended pregnancy was just plain awesome.
I love how the back and forth hate flirting helps Lynsey totally be herself with no filtering to impress a guy or to come across as something she isn’t.
And despite his dickish moves and less than stellar comments, you come to feel for Josh, understanding that something significant “made” him this way. You just don’t find out the particulars for a bit. I loved however how their time together slowly opens him up so that he’s no longer such a closed off man, even if he can’t see it.
I was afraid that Lynsey was going to come across as a bit of a flake but she was anything but. God bless her, she is pretty astute and doesn’t try to push Dr. Dick but takes things in their relationship at his own pace. What I loved most was her honestly and her ability to share what she needed. Plus, she has the best friends in the world in Dean and Kate who were just great in this book. Kate held a mirror up to one of Lynsey’s reactions and showed a completely different side to looking at her situation which I thought was so well done.
I seriously jump for joy whenever Amy Daws announces a new book release because I just know I’m going to love it. She is one of my favorite authors for so many reasons and One Moment Please did not disappoint (especially since I’m not a huge fan of the surprise pregnancy trope!). Definitely add this book to your must read list!
*Thank you Amy Daws for the advanced reader copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

This by far is my favorite Amy Daws read of all, I absolutely loved Josh and Lynsey, and add a surprise pregnancy-one night stand to the mix, it makes for a 5+ star read.
You will be laughing from page one, then your laughing will turn into crying, there are so many layers to Dr. “Dick”, but you can’t help but love his persona. Lynsey is the all American girl that wants to save one child at a time, she has a fierce determination in life, and Amy does such a great job of bringing Lynsey to life. Their plot is very emotional, funny, and of course we all love the sexy times, and boy do we get it with these two. HOT!!!!
Also, we get to catch up with the characters from the first two books in the series, I love when we can catch up with the goings on in previous characters lives.
Let me start by saying that of all the accidental pregnancy stories I’ve ever read, I’ve never read one like this before!! Swoon-worthy doctor and a quirky, accident prone girl…what could go wrong?
This is my second book by redheaded, tire shop waiting room, smut writer. , but I’m totally amazed by her talent. She has a knack for making you laugh and cry in the same story. The story starts on at a hilarious scene, hero is boorishly arrogant, pie-butt girl Lynsey Jones is pissed and smooshes the pie on his crotch!!
I mean the first scene had me laughing so hard. Then comes the desperately seeking sex scene and it’s hallelujah Dr. Josh Richardson for making her scream out loud…multiple times! Could the hero BE any more perfect.
The third setting is like a bombshell. She’s in his ER, and he has the monumental task of informing her that she’s pregnant with his baby. Hello Daddy!!
Daws’s unique sense of humor is in full display here penning some never before penned lines
“You need to grow some monstrous, mama bear, hairy lady balls and tell Josh your feelings and force him to confront his own.”
“Why do my mama bear lady balls have to be hairy?”
“Because you’re shifting into big bear dick energy.”
“How did we go from hairy lady balls to a bear dick energy?”
See what I mean?
And the very next chapter Daws brings out the big tear-gun.
As the story gathers momentum, the juggernaut of emotions races and crashes onto your heart. Lynsey was devastated and so was I.
Josh’s arrogant shell develops cracks And you can see his hurting heart struggling to beat. It was painful to see a couple so right, suddenly go wrong.
Unputdownable book, it just occupies your mind from the get go. You won’t know what to clutch, your panties or your heart.
Both melted and both disintegrated and his remarkable feat could only be present in the capable and seasoned hands of Amy Daws of T3
5 stars for adorable hospital cafeteria meet cute.
Amy Daws is fast becoming a go-to author for me. I am totally enjoying her writing style. She has an unbelievable knack for mixing comedic entertainment along with epic romance. No other author makes me feel like she is writing a part of her life into her stories. Each one of them has pieces of her personality which makes them so easy to read and they just hit me in the heart. One Moment Please really hit me in the heart. For a romantic comedy, it has a wonderful message and the epilogue tied the whole book together and gave me goose bumps.
One Moment Please stars the loveable Dr. Dick. Is Dr. Joshua Richardson really a dick? Um – heck ya he is – but honestly, he is so broken, so utterly clueless about relationships and emotions that you can’t help but fall in love with him and hope along with Lyndsey that his heart will kick in eventually and tell his head just how stupid he is being.
Lyndsey is such an amazing character. Her klutziness makes her endearing, her passion for career and success gives her substance, and her fierce desire for love and family makes the reader stand up a listen to what she has to say. She is wise in ways that Dr. Dick needs even though he fights it every step of the way. Lyndsey fights for what she believes she deserves, and she fights for what she wants. I loved everything about her.
Josh and Lyndsey’s story is the perfect feel-good read. Their meet-cute captures your attention, their second and third meets had me in stitches. This book delivers hilarity, romance, angst, and pain. The characters have lived through tragedy and learned through each other how to heal and live again. It was just what the doctor ordered during a time when quarantine and isolation are a part of our everyday norm. I totally recommend grabbing One Moment Please to enjoy a laugh and love along with Josh, Lyndsey and the rest of the gang – Kate, Miles, Sam, Maggie, and Dean.
Wow, Dr. Dick is so much more than a…. well more than the dick he first seemed to be. Completely swoon worthy! I absolutely loved his and Lynsey’s hilarious, heart-warming, and sizzling romance! They first met when Lynsey wanted to recreate the magic her friend Kate found at the tire store, by visiting the hospital cafeteria to write her masters thesis. Unfortunately Josh (Dr. Dick) confronted her and was a total …. well you get the picture. They meet again later and things did not go any better. But the sparks were there, burning away, and their barbs were their foreplay, leading to a passionate night together. After Lynsey bolted, they didn’t see each other again until they were both blindsided, 3 months later, when they discover they are having a surprise baby together. After the initial shock, Josh wants to take care of them both. Lynsey doesn’t need him to take care of her, she is strong, brave, optimistic, and determined to make it on her own. Despite being moody, rude, and overprotective to the extreme, Josh is able to convince her to give their relationship a chance. But Josh is standoffish and also has a secret past that stops him from giving himself fully, which could end things before they even have a chance. Lynsey and Josh seem to be such opposites, and that friction makes their chemistry explode right off the page. I was stunned by the direction this story took, taking my breath away, and making me care for Lynsey and Josh even more. I loved how patient and caring Lynsey was, how deliciously dominant Josh was, but mostly watching his transformation to the real Josh, past his attempts to drive people away, was truly beautiful. It was also fun catching up with Kate and Miles from the first book and also getting to know Dean better. I absolutely loved this hilarious, sweet, emotional and sexy story. I really love being in this fun world of great friends, awkward and heartwarming situations, and passionate romance. Hopefully we will get Dean’s story next!
I am a huge fan of Amy’s books! This one was a little different for me. I wasn’t immediately connected with the H, he rubbed me the wrong way for a few chapters, but once I got some snippets into Josh’s past, I knew something had to have gone wrong for him to act the way he does. I’m not saying this a negative thing mind you, I’m saying this how good Amy’s writing truly is. . And the Heroine, Lynsey was the reason I just didn’t give up on this book. This character has been through it all in a very short time, and through it all there was never a “whoa is me” or negative thought in her head. She was just always so positive even when things weren’t going her way. I loved everything about this book, there was some angst, some sweet and a whole lot of heat in this book. The connection between Josh and Lynsey was so strong even at it’s weakest moments you could feel that off the pages. And I loved how overbearing Josh got with Lynsey when he figure out how clumsy she was. That truly showed how much he cared even if he didn’t know it yet. A great book indeed.
I received an ARC in return for my honest review.
This is the first book that I’ve read by this author and I really loved this story. This book is a real enemies to lovers, to secret baby and it was a really enjoyable read. I will definitely look out for this authors work in the future and i’m glad to have found another fabulous writer.
Lynsey is a really nice person and at the moment she is having trouble finishing her thesis and finds that the only place that opens her mind ifs the hospital cafeteria and she also loves to eat pie especially the one that they make. She is extremely focused and loves what she does. The one thing she definitely did not expect was to get noticed by anyone especially not a real hot, sexy steamy doctor.
Dr Dick ‘ Josh ‘ is the doctor and seems like he’s really angry, this strange girl has caught his eye and he wants to know what she is doing
and when he goes to the cafeteria he begins seeing Lynsey everyday and wondering what she’s doing.
These two connected as soon as they saw each other and after spending a night together they think that’s it until she sneaks out of the house, that is until months later when they see each other again and this time Lynsey is carrying extra cargo. She’s pregnant. Oops.
( NO SPOILERS).
This author writes these characters absolutely fantastic each with there own set of qualities. Lynsey is definitely one of those girls that could really be your best friend I really liked her and what kind of person she is.
I didn’t think I was going to like Josh at first but there is definitely more to him you have to read on to find out and as time went on he grew on me, he didn’t like talking about his past or anything back them. But when he finds out that she’s pregnant he knows that he needs to take care of her and protect them. I always like reading secret baby, enemies to lovers books and this author has written this book awesomely.
This book will make you feel all kinds of emotion to which I want expecting but the way that it is written is beautiful and it really makes you feel in your heart, I laughed at the banter they’d shared between them both but also heart breaking in parts.
I will highly recommend this book to everyone when it gets released it was fantastic.
Thank You to the author and the publishers for allowing me to read an early copy of this book.
ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.
This book is expected to be released on 9th April 2020.
I loved Kate and Miles but here come Josh and Lynsey to take their place. Dr Dick is exactly that…a real dick but damn you just can’t help but love him. Their arrangement is one I just devoured and by the end you just want to hug him. I’m so happy Lynsey got her mama bear hairy balls! Ahhh Amy Daws you wrote a good one here and with your fabulous touch of humor I just loved this book!
Heavens, how much do I love a book by Amy Daws? Obviously, that’s a rhetorical question because the answer is, how long is a piece of strong? Do bears do their business in the wilderness etc? One Moment Please is so much more than the “simple” title, rom-com. Yes, it’s filled with Amy’s trademark wit, humour, banter and general craziness, but, beyond all that loveliness, it is also a heartfelt, emotional book which brought tears to my eyes at times. It’s beautiful! I love Dr Dick, aka, Josh, and Lynsey so much! They are now my favourite couple!
In the final analysis, a book that is well written, creative, can make you laugh, feel teary in the best possible way, remind you that there is light at the end of the tunnel, and want to move to Boulder to stalk the happy couple, or maybe find your own venue for love ops, can only be a sure thing. Absolutely fabulous!!

ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.
Holy wow. Dr Dick and Lynsey have officially become my favourite couple/book of this series. One Moment Please went from something fun and frustrating, to having me in tears by the end.
Lynsey and Josh (Dr Dick) certainly do not have the best of starts or introductions to each other. I really did not like him at the start. Suddenly, she’s pregnant with his baby and everything starts to snowball.
I really like Lynsey as a character. She’s fun and she’s her own quirky self, and I just found her really likeable. She handles the situation with much more calmness and acceptance than many people wouldn.
Now Josh, I know we’re not meant to like him, I mean, he’s called Dr Dick for a reason right? But from the instant we started getting his POV’s and getting a bit more in depth from them, I really wanted to know what his issue was deep down, and I could sense it was something serious that had made him the way he was.
I loved getting to know him, albeit not as much as I would’ve liked, as the book went on. He frustrated me, don’t get me wrong, and I definitely felt for Lynsey with how he wouldn’t open up to her, but by the end…..I was a mess of tears because of the man.
I really loved the way that Amy wrote this story, with lots of funny moments, some frustrating ones, some sad ones, and some loving ones. Loved it so much!
I also really need a book about Dean…so…Amy, if you could get onto that, it would be great. K, thanks!
Highly recommend and can’t wait for more!
