Promises will be broken. Love will be tested.
Cassy Evans knows a thing or two about secrets. By juggling work and a hidden relationship with the world’s biggest rock star for months, she’s become an expert.
However, being with Frank comes at a price. Seven years after the accident that almost ended everything, his trauma still haunts him. Determined to get back on stage, the man known to the … get back on stage, the man known to the world as Frankie Blade would do anything to ensure the success of his band’s reunion. But when one rash decision puts his entire career on the line, it’s not clear if he can recover from it.
As Frank spirals out of control, pushing Cassy away, she has to face the reality of what they’ve become. He’s harder to love than she imagined. Her common sense tells her severing all ties with him is the right choice.
Problem is, she can’t leave without her heart. And Frank doesn’t want to give it back.
One Last Verse is the conclusion of Frankie and Cassy’s story. It should be read after Final Serenade.

Amazing.
One Last Verse is an excellent conclusion to Frank and Cassy’s epic romance.
A gut wrenching emotional book that I devoured relentlessly and I couldn’t get enough.
Frank and Cassy have to confront the darker side of Fame which tests their relationship to its limits,it is such a heartbreaking account of the downside of being a Rockstar and the demons that can take hold .There is alot more angst and so many ups and downs , beautifully perfect and totally mesmerising N.N Britt’s writing is pure Magnificence.
A Fantasic read and I loved it so much
5 golden Stars.
An emotional journey of love as two people try to overcome hurt, pain and fame to come together as one is this beautifully written duet. The final book has it all tears, anger and most of all love. I can not wait to read more by this author.
One Last Verse by N.N. Britt
I am voluntarily reviewing this ARC.
This book could not come quick enough with the cliff hanger that book one ended on. It starts right where we left off…Frank is struggling with his health while trying to come back to his rock star life after a seven year leave of absence while he healed from a terrible crash. Cassy, reporter and now love interest of this rock and roll legend is in the middle of the mix, professionally and personally, and her heart is paying the price. The story takes you on a journey with these two as they deal with addiction, dependency, betrayal and ultimately, redemption. The struggle that Cassy went through was honest and felt very real. How do you help the one you love to see that they are destroying themselves when they turn to substances in order to cope. When do you finally say, enough! My heart hurt for the struggle and felt the raw emotion of the seemingly no win situation of being in love with someone that suffers from substance abuse. How do you not lose yourself in the process of loving.
Cassy was the true hero in this story and I absolutely loved her. This was an emotional and ultimately satisfying journey.
The conclusion is cassy & frank’s story is epic & heartbreaking but your hooked when you start reading it & don’t want to finish until your done.
First of all I love rock stories like this but the dark side of rock and roll is hard but I love it anyway. Frank and Cassy are fighting an uphill battle and no matter how hard she tries Cassy can stop Frank from going down the drain again. My heart was hurting for her and it’s hard to even have sympathy for Frank but when you love someone like Cassy does you keep trying. Love the story and the ending but make sure you get the bonus scene it’s a nice top off.
This sequel in the duet was so good! I love this authors writing, I feel it gets better every book of hers I read. Loved it!!

This is the 3rd book I’ve read written by N.N. Britt; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the characters.

Emotional and heart wrenching. This last part to Cassy and Frank’s story ripped me apart. The sizzling love story that unfolded in the first part of this duet is turned upside down as the lovers struggle to find their footing after Frankie’s comeback doesn’t go as planned. I was gutted by the angst and emotion of the broken rock star coming to terms with his new reality while going off the rails. Cassy was a marvel even as her world is falling apart. Gone is the titillating romance between the young, optimistic journalist and the captivating, aging rock star. What’s left are two broken people…him by his physical limitations and her by his actions. Gut wrenching histrionics play out as Cassy fights for their relationship and Frank just wants to be Frankie again. It’s painful, sad and sometimes brutal as these two fight for something that seems unattainable. The reveal at the end will cause little hearts to flutter but I didn’t think it was authentic. I couldn’t see how the secret could have been kept from Cassy. It was heart warming and the gooey moment in the story though. I did love the bookends to Cassy and Frank’s story; the Adrenaline prequel and the Encore bonus. Solid secondary characters in band mate Dante, Cassy’s younger brother, Ashton (I wish he would get his own story) and the fabulous Isabella. No one writing a rock star like this author. The portraits of Frankie and Dante, a rock and roll writing duo and best friends of twenty years, and all the triumphs and betrayals is just brilliant. I liked their story as much as I did Cassy and Frank’s. Another fantastic story from Ms. Britt and a fitting end to this rock and roll romance. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
After reaching the end of Final Serenade I couldn’t wait for book two to be released! I had to find out what was going to happen next in this story.
I picked it up as soon as I could! As soon as I started reading it was as if I had just put down book one moments before, no time passed, and I really liked that feeling. I was so glad to jump back into this world. I enjoyed it!
This continuation of Cassy and Frank’s journey wasn’t easy. I wasn’t sure which direction their story was going to go. I liked the fact that there was a lot of realness shown throughout, especially when it came to the emotions.
With Final Serenade and One Last Verse, Ms.Britt has created a unique journey that will get you right in the chest and make you feel it all!

Why do I love tortured, broken leading men in my romance books so much? They intrigue me, wrap me in their sorrow and drama, making me hope someone, someday will find them worthy of loving forever! This duet’s One Last Verse is Frankie Blade- struggling, fighting to push himself to the limit as he tries to mold himself back into the same familiar skin he was living in so many years ago. Wanted but feared his place in the spotlight as the epitome of a confident front man of his legendary band. Under it all, he is pieced together like a jagged puzzle, in constant pain physically and mentally. Frank is unable to come to terms with his new reality- life might not be as it was before his vicious motorcycle accident and it’s killing him inside.
Intelligent, beautiful Cassie is Frank’s voice of reason…she has idolized him, loves him but is noticing all the cracks forming at the edges of his world. She’s goodness and light as he is her dark dream which is turning into a nightmare. Cassie is losing herself and Frank is just lost.
Keep you box of tissues handy while reading their complicated story that will gut your heart and lift you up all in one book. I wondered as I took in those conflicting thoughts and emotions, spilling out all over the place- was I going to like the ending of this book or get thrown for a big old loop?
Well, let me tell you how poignant, introspective and just plain tissue worthy I thought their story turned out to be. I came to a place towards the end where I was just as taken back right along with Cassie. I read and reread those pages multiple times to absorb every lovely detail because it was just that amazing to me. I am really loving the writing style of N.N. Britt and I will be reading whatever I find from her in the future.
I was dying to get my hands on this conclusion, no matter how much it might rock my world. Either way, I was more than ready to find out if Cassie and Frank could ever fit their pieces together long enough to find forever.
*4.5 Stars
I have loved N. N. Britt’s writing since I read her first book and with each new one she continues to blow me away. I loved every minute of One Last Verse!
The Encore Duet is an edgy rockstar romance that hooks you from the very first page. One Last Verse pulled on my heart strings so hard, I literally held my chest reading parts of this incredible story. N. N. Britt has written a compelling, rollercoaster ride of emotions that needs to be read!
How can I even go on now that I have finished this book! I have such a book hangover that I don’t even know what I can possibly read next to even compare to this series!
N.N. Britt knocked it out of the park with this book. I thought that book 1 was intense, but this book takes things to an entirely different level. I am actually struggling with how to put into words how much I loved this book.
Cassy and Frank have such an original and epic love story. She is drawn to him and doing everything in her power to help him deal with the demons he is battling. However, sometimes love just isn’t enough and Cassy is faced with a major decision.
Get ready to be taken on one hell of an emotional roller coaster ride. This book will have you feeling ALL of the feels and then some. I really hope that this isn’t actually the end because I need MORE!

The emotions are real. This book has me so on edge. I’m sucked in, but also afraid to keep reading. I’m on pins and needles about what may happen. Frankie is so messed up and Cassie is doing her best to stand beside him. This book had me so into my emotions!! I just didn’t want it to end.. Loved every second of it.
ONE LAST VERSE (THE ENCORE DUET #2) by N.N. Britt is such an emotional love story. EXACTLY the kind I like to read. I adored Cassy. Although Frank broke my heart, he became a special kind warrior in a battle he will fight for the rest of his life. I felt Cassy’s fear and yearning. I couldn’t stop reading Frank’s downward spiral. I cried! Thank goodness there is a HEA because I had my doubts there could be. I’m forever a fan of Nat’s writing. Highly recommend
We pick up where book one left off and it continues to pull you in. Cassy and Frank have been through some things and the hits keep coming. Cassy is trying to juggle everything in her life while being there for Frank. Frank is having a hard time coming to terms with the way his life has changed and starts to turn away from Cassy. Cassy and Frank take you on an intense rollercoaster of emotions, heartbreak, and forgiveness in this book. Cassy and Frank have that insane chemistry and connection, but is that enough to hold their relationship together? Read this emotional conclusion to the The Encore duet, you won’t be disappointed!
One Last Verse is the conclusion to The Encore Duet! N.N Britt has taken me on one hell of a rollercoaster ride with this story! Frank & Cassy’s journey was full of ups and downs, angst and heartache! Let me say you will shed a few tears with this read!
The conclusion of Cassie and Frank’s turbulent love story ends with a bang. I knew it was going to be intense but the heartbreak was a tear factor that you can’t help. Their chemistry still blossom as their journey takes so much turns that I didn’t even know if they would find the right road to find a HEA. Lots of emotional drama and heat level that will have you flipping the pages until the end. If you were invested in this series like I was than this is a definite must read for you.
Cassy is juggling work and her secret relationship with Frank is taking a toll. Frank is having trouble recovering from his accident from seven years ago. He would do anything to keep his band together. He is pushing Cassy away. Cassy knows she should break it off but will her heart let her? A story full of heartbreak, triumphs and flawed people.
This book starts right book one ended and Cassy and Franks rollercoaster continues. Cassy was so strong and her devotion to Frank was admirable. There was so many facets to this duet that you can’t help me dragged in by the story as it is all consuming and you just want to root for these two!!
The emotional and raw conclusion to The Encore Duet was filled with heartache. My heart hurt as I continued to read Frank and Cassy’s story, because loving a rockstar isn’t easy.
The characters are so believable that it was impossible not to connect with them and become invested. I was just as conflicted as Cassy when it came to Frank, who personified brooding, dysfunctional rock star. It was difficult to decide if I wanted Cassy to stay or leave, much like I’m sure she was feeling. The roller coaster that was there relationship was impossible to jump off! Tough, painful decisions needed to be made and broken hearts were inevitable.
This duet isn’t just a great story and an amazing read, it’s an experience and N.N. Britt’s writing completely pulls you into their world, shows you the music industry in a way that I definitely hadn’t seen before, proves that love is messy, but in the end, so worth it!
