Gahhh. Be still my heart ….
Once again I was addicted from the beginning . Noah made me swoon hard and fast . Kristen my god I LOVE her . My heart hurt for her , tears slid down my cheeks as I felt everything she was going through this book was everything and more than I expected. I love that Corinnes writing captures me from beginning to end . This is a must read !!! You have to meet Noah . Sigh .
One Last Time is filled with heartbreak and some humor thrown together, so much it makes us feel like nosy observers in this emotional Standalone. We watch the implosion of a seemingly happy marriage that ends due to a controlling husband and a wife that had become accustomed to being a doormat. As the story progresses we witness a rebirth, so to speak, of a strong woman who refuses to believe she’s worthless. I love stories that make me want to grab someone and throat-punch them, and this story has the perfect foe, so don’t be surprised if you suddenly curse out loud. This can only be described as a second chance at love story, for people who had thought there was no hope for them, or had too many obstacles to overcome.
Kristin and Scott had been married for fourteen years and have two kids. She gave up a promising career in journalism, to be a stay at home wife and mother, something Scott had encourage her to do. But after years of arguing and realizing nothing she does will ever please him, Kristin is still surprised, and feels heartbroken, when Scott tells her he wants a divorce. After agreeing to let him keep the house and some other concessions, they agree that they will separate and end their marriage. So she moves out six months later and, with the help of her friends, Kristen and the kids start over. When she lands a job at an internet gossip site Kristen needs to land an interview, with someone famous, if she wants to keep her job. Luckily for her, her best friend Heather is living with Eli, a famous actor, and they’re happy to help her.
Noah Frazier is another well-known actor, a friend of Eli’s, and is introduced to Kristen for an interview as a personal favor. When these two meet, and hit is off, Noah makes it very clear he’s interested in Kristin. As part of a long, in-depth interview they begin to spend more time together, and share secrets off the record of course, when the professional relationship becomes personal. Kristen tries to warn Noah she and the kids are too much trouble to deal with especially with Scott still trying to manipulate and make her life miserable. It’s a good thing Noah is persistent.
“‘I promise you don’t want to even dip your toes into my crazy life.’ If she only knew that I’d dive in headfirst…”
I loved Noah Frazier! While I had a few issues with him, for a few minutes, I knew he was an honestly nice guy that deserved to get the girl. You will be cheering for these two and you’ll love how things work out. Even when it looked like all was lost, don’t despair; these two have a little help from their friends!
I COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN. I started and finished in one night. Corrine did a phenomenal job with Noah and Kristin’s story.
Noah made me fall harder and harder for him throughout the book. Just when I thought he could not be any more perfect, bam he did it again.
Kristin is trying to find her place in the world again after her soon to be ex husband uttered the four words no one wants to hear. Little did she know on her first work assignment she would meet Noah and feel more alive than she has in years.
This book was utter perfection and Thank it will definitely be on my re read list. It is told in dual POV and ends with a HEA.
Heartwarming passionate read, that out all the emotions front and center.
Kristin and Noah’s story unfolded beautifully. Theirs was not an easy romance there some bumps and setbacks which made the story real and relatable. Their chemistry was funny and sharp. Kristin was a strong heroine and Noah was strong enough to appreciate her.
The characters were well developed and these were every day ordinary people that proved they were extraordinary.
4.5 Corinne did it again Stars!
One Last Time is very emotional at the start. It grabs you by the heart and doesn’t let go. Kristin is married and has 2 young children. Their marriage is over and it’s a nasty split. She needs to find a job to take care of her and her kids. This job gives her the opportunity to interview Noah Frazier. And cue the funny parts!
Their first encounter is hilarious. Kristin is nervous and decided alcohol will cure her nervousness. Well, it certainly does! It makes for an interesting change of pace. Noah decides that Kristin is what he needs in his life so he pursues her. Kristin fights him, because she is still married and going through a divorce. She doesn’t need the complication. But Noah decides that they are going to be friends.
Watching Noah try to woo Kristin was fun and HOT. Noah made me SWOON! Kristin’s ex? Total douchebag. I’m glad she found somebody like Noah after dealing with his bull crap for so long. I love the world Corinne builds with her stories. You get these amazing characters who you want to be real so you can become friends.
Noah and Kristin’s story is one you don’t want to miss!!
This has everything that I crave in the love stories I read! It is the perfect blend of humor, emotion, and passion! Kristen is a single mom, who is smart, funny and a hot mess after her heartbreaking divorce. She is starting life over and determined to become stronger and more confident. She was not looking for a relationship, especially with hot and sexy, Noah Frazier. OMG! Noah is the Swooniest! Yes that’s a word! He is everything I want in a hero and will be the standard that I judge them all from now on. He is kind, thoughtful, romantic and deliciously dominant. Noah didn’t expect to find the woman of his dreams at his friends home, but Kristen stole his heart right from the start. He loved her humor, honesty, and awkwardness. He saw how broken she was and was determined to fight for her and make her his. I really loved Noah and Kristen, they were so perfect together. They support one another, challenge each other, have fun together, and their chemistry was off the charts. This story was so compelling, passionate, emotional, and honest. I loved how it unfolded with each heartbreak, each sweet moment and each plot twist, making me laugh and cry and many emotions in between. I highly recommend this moving, funny and steamy story!
This is an amazing book, front the begin to the end! Corinne Michaels never disappoints. This is a funny, heartwarming, charming, second chance at love book. This story will pull you in and not let you go. I was not able to put it down.
Noah is this amazing man that will stop at nothing to win the heart of the woman he has set his sights on!
Kristin is a strong woman that really does not need a man to understand how great of a person she is. However Noah is determined to “win her heart”!
Loved the entire story, the cameo was amazing and made me so happy!
I loved this story! Noah and Kristin struggle to find their footing and it’s not an easy road. There are many obstacles on both sides and some see insurmountable. Their characters are the perfect combination of strength and vulnerability to battle the struggles and get where they need to be. Noah is just another book boyfriend to add to your swoon worthy list!
Corinne delivered another Awesome read I couldn’t put down. From the moment you start reading you ache for Kristin and what she has endured in her marriage. But I love how she finds her courage to move forward and be a strong woman. Noah. Let’s just say the absolute epitome of Sweeping You Off Your Feet. He puts the Charm in Charming and I fell for him Hard! I love these two together and their journey! And Corinne’s humor in this book is PERFECTION! Thank you Corinne for you words, your humor and most of all, another beautiful couple to Swoon over!
I read a lot of books. All kinds of books: fiction, non-fiction, but most especially romance. That’s my escape. And reading a jewel of a romance novel is the equivalent of finding the holy grail to me. It’s a book I can’t put down until I read every word and that’s exactly what One Last Time is—a jewel.
I fell in love with Kristin and her strength, humor, poise and fierce determination from the start. She’s not had a perfect marriage, it’s quite broken and ugly and sad. But she is none of those things. She’s amazing, positive, funny and ready to start over. She pulls herself together—for her and her two kids—and begins life as a single parent, trying to do the best she can. I adore her.
And Noah. Man, he is a force to be reckoned with. Swoony, sexy, smart, funny, and fiercely protective—amazing attributes for this fabulous, luscious man. AND he’s AMAZING with kids. Sigh. I want a Noah.
I loved watching Kristin and Noah fall in love—they fit together like piece to a puzzle. I loved how they loved each other, even in the worst of times. I loved how they just loved.
Loved this book so much!
Noah and Kristen are now embedded into my heart! Sometimes our happily ever afters don’t happen exactly like we thought they would, and this couple proves there is always time to find love.
I cried connecting with Kristen and what she goes through. More than that I laughed and loved Kristen and Noah’s relationship.
There is nothing sexier than a man like Noah coming in and showing a woman exactly what a REAL man can/should do.
A definite page turner! And my favorite read this year!
One Last Time by Corinne Michaels is a full length stand alone romance novel.
Meet Kristin McGee, she´s a soon divorced mother of two. Her soon to be ex-husband forced her out of their house and in general acts very dickish. She´s out job hunting, and her best friends are her life saver.
And then she meets him. Noah Frazier, irresistible movie star, celebrity. It takes im one look at Kristin to know she´s his one. And he goes to great lengths to win her over.
They have a chemistry that´s through the roof high. But Kristin has very low self-esteem because she was verbally abused over years. Let me tell you, her ex, Scott is a real piece of work.
And she doesn´t believe she deserves a second chance at love and a new better life and relationship.
I started reading andI was hooked from page one. Looking at Kristin´s character was like looking in a mirror, that completely I connected with her. It´s very rare that I connect with a character this way.
Kristin is great and Noah´s even better.
Favorite Quote: ” If wine and chacolate had a baby, it would be called Noah ….”
I can´t say how much I love the story, the writing – it´s excellent- and the Corinne Michaels´ words. I recommend One Last Time and wish I could give more than 5 stars.
One Last Time made me realize that I am just addicted to Corinne’s books. Each time I read one, I do little else but lose myself in the stories. “This book is funny” she said. “There’s no crying!” she said. Yeah right!! Right out of the gate, Corinne gutted me in chapter one. It was a raw and gritty look into the life that Kristin has been living for a long time. Having been in a similar situation myself a long time ago, I could feel everything that Kristin was feeling, each emotion slicing like a sharp knife across my chest. BUT, that only lasted for a brief moment, and Corinne does in fact turn the story in a more pleasant direction. That direction would be Noah Frazier.
Kristin and Noah may have just risen to the top of the list of my favorite Corinne couples. Kristin is such a strong heroine, even when she feels like she is failing miserably. And Noah was just swoony to the Nth degree! Their chemistry together is off the charts, and the respect that Noah shows Kristin throughout the story automatically won him points with me.
Even though the last thing Kristin needs to do right now is start a relationship with someone, she can’t deny the feelings she has for Noah that are growing stronger every day. The way he supports her in every aspect, especially where her kids are involved, shows her that there truly are still good, decent guys out there that know how to treat a woman the way they deserve to be treated.
I can’t say enough how amazing Noah is in this book! And to learn what his backstory is just made me fall harder for him. He acknowledges his feelings for Kristin even though they scare him because he feels something for her that he hasn’t felt for any other woman ever. And when you find that, you don’t let it go, no matter what.
The path these two traveled was a bumpy one, thanks to Kristin’s ex-husband who was a real piece of work. But these two were determined to discover what the future held for them. It was awesome to see all the supporting characters that we first met in We Own Tonight again. If you haven’t read that book yet, no worries, you will be meeting a great cast of characters and I guarantee you will want to go back and read that book next, just to see more of them! AND the cameo from two very beloved characters from one of Corinne’s earlier works was the best!! Ahhh, I’ve missed them!!
Corinne layers this book with lots of emotion, a good dose of angst and balances it out with some pretty humorous moments and two adorable kids you can’t help but fall in love with! I really loved this book!! AND when you get to the end, Corinne provides a link to a bonus epilogue that you don’t want to miss. I admit I did cry while reading it, but it was happy, sappy tears. I am hoping beyond hope that Corinne will be bringing us Nicole’s story next, she was a hoot in both this book and We Own Tonight, so I know her story is going to be a doozy!
The second I finished the last page my first thought was automatically “NO! GIVE ME MORE!” Not because it was a cliffhanger, it wasn’t. I may have actually died if it was, but because I loved Noah and Kristin so much I didn’t want their story to ever end. It was that good. I was so deeply engrossed in this book I lost track of all time and ended up staying up all night reading without even noticing. It was like I started, then I blinked and it was 4 A.M. and I was on the last perfect page of this perfect book.
One Last Time was sweet, it had me cracking up at times, it was so incredibly romantic (I’m talking ALLLLLLL the swoon) there were moments that had me gasping and wanting to smack people *I’m looking at you mr.ex* and even shed a few tears. Basically, this book has it all. From amazing friends & adorable kids to a sexy as hell sweetheart of a Hollywood actor I loved every bit of it! I want to give One Last Time a billion stars, but I’m limited to just five, so I’ll just give it five epic DROP EVERYTHING AND READ THIS stars.
Kristin is so absolutely relatable that I often found myself forgetting that I wasn’t reading about people I knew. She is a single mom working at a job she doesn’t feel right for to support her two children. Then she gets assigned to interview Noah Frazier.
Noah is an actor but finds himself immensely entertained by Kirstin and absolutely powerless to say no to her daughter. “Noah gave me cookies” will forever be my most favorite line.
Guys, these two are perfection! Seriously, I was rooting for them so hard. There are plenty of scenes that have the angst that only Corinne Michaels can write, but no one dies! Although, at times I wouldn’t have been the least bit upset if a boulder would’ve fell from the sky and smashed a certain jerk.
Anyway, if you love swoon worthy and hard hitting dialogue and adorably awkward situations then this is your book.
I had high hopes when I started One Last Time after reading all of Corinne Michaels previous books. By the time I was finished I was blown away. Corinne Michaels outdid herself with this standalone story. If I could give this book more then 5 I would. We meet Kristin who thought she was in a loving marriage only to find out how dysfunctional it was. So they divorce. Her two children Finn and Aubrey are the best. From the moment you meet Noah Frazier, he steels your heart and you don’t want it back. Kristin and Noah pulls you to root for them. I definitely want a Noah for myself. If there is a must read book, THIS IS IT!! Trust me you will love it just as much as I did.
AMAZING! Sweet, funny, sass and just the perfect amount of OMG you evil genius Corinne. I wish she could release a book every week. Noah is right up there with Liam and Wyatt. READ THIS BOOK!!!!!
Fantastic!! Equal parts Funny, Sexy & Emotional. Fall in love with Noah & Kristin! I sure did!
Noah is just perfect!!! I swooned so hard for him; I’m still swooning! Kristin is such a great mom and so strong and amazing, I was so proud of her!
I love that we get more of some of my favorite people in this book! No spoilers here, you’ll have to read it and see who it is.
This story is so well written and Noah & Kristin are so relatable and likable, you can’t help but get behind their relationship and hope for the very best. What more could you ask for in a romance?
One Last Time…
So much can be said about this title and it’s meaning but that would spoil it. So I won’t… but I will say I giggled knowing the main character is named after another author. I loved seeing their authormance in book format.
All my ridiculous joy aside and even my 12 year old glee at the Harry Potter references, I was swept away in the story. If you thought falling for Eli in We Own Tonight was easy, falling for Noah is like slicing butter with a hot knife. We won’t fall for him, you will melt for him.
The same group of friends from We Own Tonight are the catalysts for fun in One Last Time. The four warrior women who have each other’s backs are back and here to get sh!t done.
At a time in Kristen’s life where everything seems to get worse, her friends are her support and lifeline. Their support and sheer force are almost everything she needs. Almost.
This sweet story is a whirlwind opportunity. It’s crazy chance with a wild result. From wet clothes, windows “of opportunity”, and people behaving badly, you will be entertained long after you’ve read the last word.
reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood
Corinne Michaels quickly became a one-click author for me after I read some of her earlier books. One Last Time has once again completely stole my heart. We were introduced to Kristin and her friends in We Own Tonight. Kristin is in an unhappy marriage, but continues to stay until there is nothing left to fight for. One night with Noah Frazier shows her what she has been missing for years. The connection and the chemistry they share is electrifying.
This story gave me all of the feels. It’s a little lighter than most of Ms. Michael’s books, but still completely spell binding that I couldn’t put it down. Kristin and Noah’s story was one of hope and rebirth. Watching Kristin take a chance with Noah was refreshing and I lost myself in the story. Noah Frazier is everything I love in a great hero. He is sexy and smart and completely smitten with Kristin as well as her kids. That might have endeared him to me even more. This story was a great read. I can’t say enough great things about it. Read it!
