★ ★ ★ ★ ★ “A hysterically funny and well-written romance.” – Readers’ FavoriteCassie Dunhill and her friends make a pact to marry the next guy they each date. What could possibly go wrong?Cassie is sick of dating. It’s been ten years and it’s time, time to find The One. It’s either that or buy a fetching habit and veil and abandon the whole thing. But Cassie believes in love, and she’s not ready … believes in love, and she’s not ready to give up yet.
The pressure is on to find Mr. Right and Cassie’s the first to find him: Parker Hamilton. He’s good-looking, smart, cultured–and a doctor. Despite his obvious credentials, Cassie’s not taking any chances. She’s vetted Parker so thoroughly she could offer some pointers to the CIA. Needless to say, he passes with flying colors.
Things get complicated when Will Jordan, her irritating work colleague, muscles in on her dream job and her love life. Will is a typical guy, complete with nicknames for everyone, even Cassie. His good looks and relaxed, easy nature can be distracting. But Cassie can do without that kind of distraction right now, no matter how good Will looks with his shirt off.

Delightful series!!!
One Last First Date is a delightfully funny romantic tale of three friends who make a pact that the next date they go on will be with the man they will marry. TERRIFYING, RIGHT?! That’s why this is a must-read!
This book had me chuckling right on page one and didn’t stop there. With a cast of relatable yet quirky characters, a super hunky hero, and a heroine who deserves her HEA, I couldn’t put it down. Can’t wait to get started on the second book in the series.
Cassie is a twenty-seven year old office worker who has her whole love life planned, even up to the names of her two children. She is meeting her One Last First Date and is ready to find Mr. Right. Will she find him or Mr. Wrong? This story can make you laugh and cry for Cassie, because she has a lot to learn about finding love.
I enjoyed this love story. A perfect guy comes into your life after you make a pact with your friends that the next person you date you will marry. The problem is, well, maybe the perfect guy for you is not who you think he is. Life is pretty unpredictable, after all. This book made me laugh and the ending was so good.
This is my favorite mind of story to read on the train coming home from a hard day’s work. Just a feel good story.
Unusual premise, but strong female characters.
At last, she found her last first date. Nice book.
A cute romance ending with unexpected consequences.
One Last First Date: A romantic comedy of love, friendship and cake by Kate O’Keeffe.
This is the first book ive read by Ms O’Keeffe, and it will not be the last. I enjoyed the silly sweetness of the girls, that i bought the book for my collection.

I enjoyed Cassie’s journey to love. I may have to buy more in this series to see how her friends fare!
Very Sweet
Reading this book is like eating a piece of chocolate cake, or watching a Halmark movie… or watching a Hallmark movie while eating chocolate cake, yes, like that.
The story is fun. Silly girls making their silly pacts, that of course will NOT work out, but that doesn’t make reading about it any less enjoyable. There are a lot of familiar tropes, but I still really enjoyed it, and hey, those tropes are successful for a reason, right?

Romantic and fun, heartbreak and extreme competition. In love, the whole thing is a game of chance and making the pact was not the brightest of ideas but as it turns out, it turned out to work out for the better. Great story and loads of laughs. I could do without sex and cursing but it was fun anyway.

This is not my usual genre, but I’m glad I read this book. I’ve never read a story based out of New Zealand and it’s different but in a good way. The friendship the ladies have is awesome and I loved the idea of the pact.

Cassie, Paige and Marissa make a pact to marry the next guy they date. They’ve been on the dating scene for 10 years and Mr. Right is no where to be found. Cassie is the first to meet someone and she researches Parker Hamilton thoroughly before agreeing to a date him. On paper, he looks perfect – charming, cultured and a doctor. Things are progressing nicely until Cassie’s annoying colleague Will Jordan takes an interest in her love life and is competing with her for the same promotion. Cassie, Paige and Marissa discuss all happenings and plans over cake and lattes at the Cozy Cottage Cafe. Cassie tries to navigate the relationship with Parker into a happy ever after, while discovering that Will is much nicer and attractive than she thought he was. Cassie is tested in hilarious ways as she works her way to happily ever after.
I thoroughly enjoyed One Last First Date. The banter between the characters is well written and realistic. Cassie, her friends, Parker and Will are believable and likeable people, leaving me wanting to read more about their lives. I will definitely be looking for more books by Katie O’Keefe.

Cassie and her two best girlfriends make a pact on the beach. Whomever they go on a date with next will be the man they marry, their “last first date.” It took three months for one of them to finally make that move after some heavy-duty vetting and research of the man, Parker, a doctor. Cassie is working on a big project at work at this time as well, partnering with the number one sales agent in the office whom she considers to be a bit of a jerk, Will. The last first date starts off as a bit of a disaster when she accidentally punches her own nose trying to get her skirt uncaught. But the rest of the dinner goes well.
Will Parker, that hopeful last first date, truly be that? Does he have any old girlfriends lurking around in the past? What about Will? Will their project be successful without coming to blows or oneupsmanship?
This book was a very fun, light-hearted read. It is based in Australia. It’s written with a great deal of humor. I actually did laugh out loud at times! Sometimes at the situation Cassie had gotten herself into or her reaction to it. In a fun way that I love in good sitcoms, the author would occasionally create what would become an in-joke, as in she would set up fact early on and then used it to create a humorous situation. It is rare to see such a comedic device in a fluffy romance, so it was a delight.
This was my first Kate O’Keeffe book. I enjoyed the ease of this book. The story was mostly light and funny with some relationship issues thrown in. I enjoyed this story and the messages that were contained in the story. Cassie and her antics made the read funny. In her strivings to plan out her future, she found some unaccounted kinks along the way. Cassie has to learn what matters most, her careful plans or the unexpected, even if it means giving up things.
While there was mention of sex, it was not descrptive. I appreciated the lack of profanity and crudeness. There was heartbreak and mending in this book. There were typing/ editing issues that I noticed, but felt dd not take away from the story. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
I received a free ARC from BookSprout in exchange for an honest review.

New Zealand Rom/Com
This is a very entertaining, sweet and clean romantic comedy that takes place in Auckland, NZ. The story will keep you smiling throughout! Some of the situations are slapstick comedy, others are poignant. This is a fun story and I am excited to read the next in the series! I received this ARC for free from Booksprouts and this is my honest review.
One Last First Date – This is my first read by this author. I found the other three books to this series on Booksprout and discovered this one in my library. I did not know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. Well written in a conversational style. Enjoyable characters that came across as realistic and with some brains. Interesting storylines that moved along quickly and plenty of humor. I did not get bored as I usually do with many of this genre. I’ll be reading the three other books to this series. 4*
Two Last First Dates – This book picks up ten minutes after One ends. This book is just as enjoyable and delightful as the first book. Still written in a conversational style with multiple storylines that merge and separate through the friends and their lives with the focus on Paige. The characters still have brains and are still realistic, including their thoughts and dialogs. The humor steady throughout. Mistakes are still made but not the stupidity formula that is common in this genre. The fast pace and interesting lives makes this book quickly read. I found this book on Booksprout. 4*
Three Last First Dates – I chain read Three after finishing Two. This book picks up a few weeks after Two ends. It is so hard to write a review on this series without wanting to do spoilers; not a book report so it won’t happen. The focus is on Marissa and she’s probably the silliest of the bunch with her ideas, but she was fat as a kid and has that old mindset. The friends are still interesting and supportive, and the three dates were so different from each other. I thought she treated her first date badly, but some people look at jobs instead of the person. Anyway, the book was full of humor and interesting storylines and characters. I did not get bored with series since the storytelling never repeated or went stupid, but keep me immersed with the writing style and talent of Ms. O’Keeffe. I found this book on Booksprout. 4*
