Sutton Briar has lived the past several years doing everything in her power to remain invisible. Boxy skirts? Oversized tops in muted colors? Yes please! She learned the hard way that gaining the attention of the opposite sex could lead down a very dangerous path. She’s content to blend in with the wallpaper, but then her boss makes a request she can’t refuse for fear of losing her job.Pretend to … her job.
Pretend to be the girlfriend of legendary musician, Camden Knight.
There’s just one problem.
She can’t stand him… and the feeling is mutual.
Camden Knight spent years burying a crucial part of himself from the public eye. But when a one-night stand gone horribly wrong blows the lid off his secret, the only hope of repairing the damage to his reputation comes at the hands of a woman he despises.
They’re complete opposites in every way, but what starts as a fake relationship quickly turns into something neither of them expected. And what was supposed to be only one night leaves them both wanting so much more.

Another amazing Jessica Prince book! She has fast become one of my auto-buy authors!
A very funny cute, emotional, entertaining story. I enjoyed this book. They were cute together. The kid learning and singing the favorite words were funny. I enjoyed this book.
There are not words to say how amazing this book was!!! Jessica Prince has done an incredible job writing these characters and their story.
Camden’s luck may have just run out if his best friend can’t help him out. Camden is or acts like all other celebrities when he has to but he is not always like them. He really does have a soft and caring side that is not shown that often.
Sutton is his best friend’s assistant and very shy and seems like an ice queen. She has her reasons for acting the way she does but no one knows what these reasons are. Oh and she hates any type of celebrity. What happens when her boss who happens to be Camden’s best friend comes up with a plan to help them both? Will she be able to resist Camden’s charm?
One Knight Stand is a fake relationship that turns to romance! But not without some bumps on the journey! The tension between these too very opposite characters was off the charts and made for a steamy, emotional and fun book you won’t put down.
4 1/2 stars. Cam and Sutton were wonderful! I loved how down to earth and “normal” Camden was. And Sutton and her sister were so funny. I am so down with a book that makes me actually laugh out loud. The one thing that detracted from the story for me was the abundant use of the endearments. Honey, cutie, babe, baby and doll. Otherwise, another win for Jessica Prince!
What a great book by Jessica Prince! The story between Sutton and Camden has the enemies to lovers and fake relationship trope that aren’t always a favorite type of read, but I loved it so much in this book. Sutton is such a complex character, I knew reading the blurb that she was obviously hiding something and I kind of guessed what it could be. My heart broke for her, but I still saw her as such a woman of strength. Camden, a rock star, again not a favorite type of hero (please don’t get upset that I have not read the Civil Corruption series), but I did not feel like this was a rockstar romance. Some of the issues revolved around him being a rockstar but was not the driving force.
The beginning of their relationship was not the greatest, especially since it was fake. Camden got into a bit of trouble and needed to clean up his image. He needed a wholesome, girl-next-door girlfriend, cue in Sutton. She is exactly what he needs, unfortunately they both can not stand each other. Sutton sees Camden as an entitled celebrity and Camden saw Sutton as an ice queen, but once they began their fake dating, you saw it from the beginning that there was chemistry there. I just loved how Camden was the one who realized his feelings had changed first, especially when Sutton’s past trauma is revealed. He was amazing with her, he supported her and she felt safe with him. When Sutton was finally able to let go of the past and start to heal, the chemistry was off the charts! Some of those sexy scenes were smoking hot!
I just loved everything about this book! The secondary characters were wonderful, I loved Camden’s family! This definitely was a 5-star read for me.
I almost get giddy when a book from Jessica Prince hits my kindle. I always know that I’m going to fall in love with her stories and her characters and One Knight Stand has me bursting.
Camden and Sutton have no love lost between the two of them and immediately these two are at each other’s throats. I’ll admit I love these types of relationships in book it gets my blood pumping. As these two enter into a fake relationship to help his somewhat tarnished reputation they have no choice but to spend time together. One thing leads to another and …. well you can read to find out what happens.
There’s just something about Jessica’s books that I can’t quite put my finger on. Whether it’s the storyline, her characters, the flow of the book or heck maybe it’s all of it. It honestly doesn’t matter, what does matter is that I fall in love with her books.
Every single time. I get fully invested in her storylines and I always devour her books in one sitting. And as much as I probably should savour then I just find myself gobbling up each word and then I’m done and think dang I read that too fast. I can’t help myself. And now I eagerly wait for what Jessica Prince is going to throw my way next. It’s a cycle with her books. Read, Rave, Repeat !!!
What do you get when you mix a fake relationship trope with enemies to lovers and a dash of kink with a rock star? Romance gold! I loved the friendship between Tate and Cam and the dynamic between him and Sutton. Sutton was a bit harder to like in the beginning but as we got to know her backstory and understand her more AND we see her grow – the more I sympathized with her and got to like her. The banter, the humor, and finding out what Cam was so desperate to hide all made One Knight Stand a most enjoyable read. I’ve read a few books by Jessica Prince now and while she writes wonderful and nuanced romances, I think my favorite part of her stories are the friendships. I need to go back and read a few of the Civil Corruption books I’ve missed and I fully plan to keep up with this talented writer’s works from here on out. 4 out of 5 wine glasses.
I really enjoyed reading One Knight Stand by Jessica Prince. It was a sexy and sweet emotional rollercoaster if a story.
When music celebrity Camden Knight has a one night stand his reputation goes down hill fast. What his management company agree he needs a girl next door type fake girlfriend to get his life back on track. The only issue is he and Sutton, the girl they have in mind can’t stand each other. When they are forced to spend time together feeling begin to change an lines become blurred, just how long will their “fake” relationship last!
I thoughly enjoyed reading this book my only issue is that although it is a duel pov story Camden’s part was told as third person but Sutton’s wasn’t which I did find a little hard to grasp as times, but overall another fantastic story from Jessica Prince.
4.5 Stars
One Knight Stand left me all giddy and happy. It had the perfect blend of angst, laugh out loud moments, drama, and steam. It had me turning the pages extra quick. I was sad to see it end, I just wanted more and more.
Camden Knight is a sexy as sin rockstar. He is all kinds of alpha and cocky, but not arrogant. Underneath all his rock god glory lies a man that is protective with a heart of gold. I couldn’t get enough of Camden, he had me swooning nonstop. He was definitely a favorite of mine.
Sutton Briar is a sassy spitfire. She had so many layers to her. And throughout the book it was good to see those layers start to fall away with her opening up and trusting. Sutton grew so much and I rooted so hard for her. To see her face her demons and come out victorious was a thing of beauty.
Sutton and Camden didn’t get along right from the beginning. But once they started to get to know each other, feelings stated to develop. And oh my gosh when that happened I got the biggest smile on my face. They complimented one another so well. They were so freaking adorable together. They were so good for each other and both leaned a lot from the other. They both definitely deserved all the happiness and the fact that they made each other happy was an added plus.
Overall, One Knight Stand was an enjoyable read. Sutton and Camden’s story hooked me and I could t get enough. I can’t wait to read more from Jessica, a new-to-me author.
WOW!! I am so in love with this book! Jessica Prince has a way of making you fall in love with supporting characters in her books and Camden was no different! I was so excited he was getting his own book – and it did not disappoint!
FIVE HUGE STARS!!

Holy smoking H-O-T! Super sexy and successful musician, check. Girl who doesn’t realize her own strength and beauty, check. Off the charts sex, check. Drama, drama, drama, check. This book hits all the right spots!
I loved and adored the hate to love story about Camden and Sutton. She thought he was an entitled star. He thought she was an ice queen. That is until they have to “fake date.” She has her demons in her past, and once the two of them decide to let go of their “hate” status and start all over the sparks to fly. Neither knew how wrong they were about the other. Their chemistry just works right off the bat. You don’t want to miss this one! (Review by Terri “Jane”)
I loved Camden in the Civil Corruption series and love him even more in One Knight Stand. He is amazing, a mess too but amazing. Sutton- I just loved her.
He needs a fake girlfriend to help with his image. Sutton really doesn’t like him- partly because of her past and through Tate they agree to “fake date”.
The chemistry and connection with these 2 characters is amazing. I love how Jessica Prince connects them and all the characters in this book. The book has twists and turns and keep me wanting more of them and everyone in the book.
This was a really good read! I love a fake relationship story, so I knew this was going to be good. Cam and Sutton have off the charts chemistry, even if it takes them a little while to see it. There was A LOT going on in this story. The mom, the dad, the “incident”, the tape that started it all. The initial drama is sorted pretty quickly. The stuff with Sutton’s parents was crazy, and I’m glad that even though they eventually find a happy place that everything wasn’t just swept under the rug. I felt like Sutton went a little overboard in her anger at Cam after the “secret” came to light. He absolutely should have told her after he found out about her past, but he made the deal before he ever knew about it. She was the one that kept putting off telling him about it. I really enjoyed the secondary characters. Mrs. Whittaker was quite the character, and I LOVED Cam’s family. I recommend this one!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
After reading Consume I was so pumped to get my hands on another book from Jessica Prince! I haven’t read Defile yet, so I wasn’t familiar with Camden before starting this book.
Camden is in a really bad place when his latest one night stand releases a tape from their night together. Tate, his best friend, in order to save his reputation decides to orchestrate a fake relationship. That’s where Sutton comes; she is going to be his fake girlfriend. They both kind of hate each other so this relationship is not easy for either of them.
Sutton didn’t have the best life. An incident that happened some years before left her closed off and afraid to let people in. She doesn’t have the best opinion of celebrities and that made her even more skeptical about Camden. Her sister, Sabrina, is definitely the most hilarious part of the book; I seriously loved her
Their relationship may have started as fake but moving forward it became real. I loved how protective and possessive Camden is of her. I really felt all their emotions throughout the book. Especially at the end when everything went bad.
The ending was truly amazing and left everyone happy and gave me the warmest feelings I can’t wait for Jessica Prince’s next book!!!
4 Going From Fake to Real Relationship Stars
I LOVE Jessica Prince’s writing so much and this book is a prime example of why. Her ability to write a story that draws in the reader and getting us invested in her characters is for me one of my most favorite things. I KNOW when I pick up one of her books, I’m going to devour it and not look up until I’ve turned the last page….and One Knight Stand is no different.
In this book Camden and Sutton are paired together to help clean up rock star Camden’s imagine and who better to do that than the quiet Sutton who has the ability to work magic behind the scenes as the bestie of Camden’s assistant.
To say these two are polar opposites would be an understatement. He’s a “rock God” and she’s an assistant, they don’t really have anything in common…unless you include the passion that sets the pages on fire when they come together.
I loved the natural progression of their relationship and there were a few comedic moments that had me chuckling. I loved how Sutton really almost became Camden’s champion. Someone that really cared about him for who he really is and not what he can provide to someone. Camden really hadn’t had that in his life for a long time and the fact that he came to care about Sutton and was able to get her to trust him was a beautiful thing.
Their relationship that started out as really almost like Oscar and Felix from The Odd Couple morphed into a love that I don’t think either of them ever thought they’d find. Ms. Prince does a great job of bringing us along with their journey and giving us a birds eye view of how these two come to fall in love and become each other’s protector. Along the way Camden shows Sutton that not only is dirty sex the way to go sometimes, but with the right person it’s mind-blowing!!!
This is a great start to the spinoff from Civil Corruption one of my most favorite rock band series and with the way the secondary characters played in this book, we’re in for some great reading ahead!!
Full disclosure: Jessica Prince is a one click author for me. I’ve enjoyed all of her books so I was excited to see a “spin off” of the Civil Corruption Series and Camden getting his own story.
This was an enjoyable story that I was able to read in one sitting (while eating about a dozen chocolate chip cookies – stupidly I made them before I sat down to read and just kept “taste testing” so I blame 3 lbs on the author). Each character has unexpected layers to them and they each provide a bit of humor, a bit of angst and a whole lot of hotness to the story.
I often will put a favorite quote in my reviews, but I read this so fast that I didn’t highlight anything. I’m going to have to reread this in the future to correct the situation.
I recommend One Knight Stand and all of the other books written by Jessica Prince.
One Knight Stand by Jessica Prince

I loved loved this story! Another awesome amazing story written by Jessica! I loved all the feels and emotions! I loved the chemistry between the characters! A complete marvelous story! I really enjoyed!
Camden and Sutton~ pretend to be in a relationship but things turn to be real
Camden is a rock star. Camden needs to get his life on track so Camden’s management suggest he needs a girl next door type. Sutton’s boss and Camden’s best friend wants Sutton to pretend to be Camden’s girlfriend. The problem is that these two hate each other.
“Every single day, I thanked my lucky stars for agreeing to be Camden Knight’s fake girlfriend, because it led to this.”
Highly recommend!!
I really enjoyed this one! You really can’t go wrong with a book written by Jessica Prince. You know things are going to be quite interesting when two people who don’t like each other agree to a fake relationship. Sutton is going to help Camden with his image and repair some of the damage. When they are stuck pretending to like each other they soon get really know one another. Things begin to feel all too real. I enjoyed the story. I got sucked right in. Plus I enjoyed the cameo of Civil Corruption. I loved Sutton’s family. I laughed a lot with the scenes with her sister’s family. It’s definitely one you do not want to pass up!
3.5 stars!! So glad Camden finally got a book!! This story starts with a scandal and the only way to make the scandal go away is to make the rockstar look like a good boy. That’s where Sutton comes in, she’s the girl who hides under big clothes and doesn’t want attention which is exactly the kind of girl they need to fake a relationship with Camden. But you know how that goes… once these two start getting to know each other the passion is intense and it ends up not being as fake as either of them were prepared for. I enjoyed both of these characters and loved getting to see the civil corruption gang in there too.
