A Review of One Hundred Goodbyes by Kelly Collins
Thomas and Eden – 5 Stars
I absolutely LOVE all the books I’ve read by Ms. Collins and the town of Aspen Cove. I really feel like I know most of the characters of the book from one book or another in the series. Having learned a little bit about Thomas from the last book, it was good to learn more about him and what makes him tick and who broke his heart. There are enough twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat. Make sure you pick this one up as soon as you can, you don’t want to miss out.

Eden is trying to figure out what to do with her life. She is a surrogate mother for her sister’s baby but she no longer wants to be a mother. Eden is jobless, homeless. But when she enter Aspen Cove while driving to Alaska she will find kind people who will help her all along the way and a wonderful man with his own demons to fight. But Aspen Cove will play its magic again. The audiobook is great
I have come to love the town of Aspen Cove and it’s inhabitants. A place where people go to visit, and never leave. Where they get a second chance on life, always for the better.
This time it’s Eden Webster’s story. Her big heart has put her in a place she never expected. Pregnant , abandoned and homeless, she stops in Aspen Cove on her way to visit her aunt in Alaska.
By chance she meets firefighter Thomas Cross. A man that was badly hurt by a woman and therefore no longer believes in love.
But fate brings them together and as they get to know each other, feelings develop. When things seem to be going in their favor, an obstacle could threaten their lives.
Will they open their hearts to each other? Will they be able to overcome the obstacles and find their HEA?
Another engaging story in this series with wonderful characters.
The narrator, Logan McAllister, once again, does a great job with the various voices.
Kelly Collins has done it again. She has written a heart-warming story set in the delightful town of Aspen Cove. The chemistry between Thomas and Eden is palpable and will have you rooting for this couple from the beginning. Thomas is a swoon-worthy fireman who has been burned in the past. Eden is a sweet, somewhat naive, woman who has been put in a bad situation by her sister. When they meet, they soon learn they were meant to be together. No road to love is smooth but the HEA is always worth the trip. I strongly urge you to read the entire Aspen Cove series. You will fall in love with the town and its wonderful citizens.
Crazy premise for a book, but I’m sure the actual situation is not without precedent in this crazy world. This is Thomas’ story and while he is almost too good to be true, you can’t help but love a guy who reluctantly but whole heartedly becomes a father. Eden is a woman trying to assert herself and finally finds her voice at the end of the book and with the help of the Aspen Cove family. I love this series and all the characters, most especially Doc.
Eden is pretty much a people pleaser which has led to her being all alone and weeks a way from having a baby in a strange town, luckily for her it is Aspen Cove she is stuck in and she is about to learn exactly what it is like to have friends and family that care about her. These books just make you all warm and loved up with how lovable the characters are including the whole town as well as Thomas the eternal bachelor after events from his past and Eden who you kinda want to wrap up in a big hug as well as shake her. There are some great surprises, twists and “are you kidding!!!” moments that will keep you turning the page to see if they get their happily ever after or if the past yanks it away!!

One Hundred Goodbyes #9 – Another good book from the Aspen Series, my second, and it’s not sequential, but I still enjoyed reading Goodbyes. The well written and interesting storylines combined with loveable and decent people make this a good read. The past books are just mentioned in passing, not spending a lot of time rehashing a previous book, which makes it nice to go back and read them without a lot of spoilers. We all know how the books end, it’s the journeys that make the books interesting. I contacted the author to review her books. 5*
Aspen Cove Series:
One Hundred Excuses – This is my first book by this author and I enjoyed it immensely. Well written with good storylines and characters that are likable and decent people. I didn’t realize this is part of series because other people and previous history were mentioned in passing as if introduced in another book. BUT this did not diminish my enjoyment of this delightful, heartwarming story. I had fun with Mrs. Beasley (from Family Affair), I remember when she hit the store shelves in the late 60s. Now I want to read the rest of the stories. I did skip the sex scenes, for me the sexual tension is interesting and written sex is boring. I found this book on Booksprout.co. 5*
One Hundred Lifetimes #7 – Even though this is part of a series and I’ve only read one other book, this didn’t take away from Lifetimes being a good story. There was a little too much bantering about sex, but I understood the reason and skipped those pages and the sex scenes; I was bored by them.
The storylines are interesting. The characters were likable and decent people, and it was fun to see the characters from Excuses show up along with the other regulars. The journey that Poppy and Mark take is comical, intense, sad and worth reading. Life is too short to dally and wonder, go make it happen. I contacted the author to review her books and received this through Booksprout. 4*
Aspen Cove Series end.
The Aspen Cove Series is one I like the most, I’m always looking forward to the next book.
Eden Webster is a good person who can’t say no to anyone, and this is how she sees herself eight months pregnant, unemployed and without a place to live. She then decides to go to Alaska to stay with her aunt.
On the way, she decides to stop at Aspen Cove and ends up meeting firefighter Thomas Cross. When she is examined by Doc Parker and he says she can’t continue her journey, the first place he thinks for her to stay is at Thomas’s house.
While Eden and Thomas share the same roof, they both get to know each other better and learn to trust each other. In addition, the entire city of Aspen Cove helps them while awaiting the arrival of the baby.
But when an unexpected surprise threatens their newly acquired happiness, will they be able to overcome it, or will each go their way?
I loved the characters, the story and being able to see again all the other characters. I highly recommend the reading.
A series I’m falling in love with! The characters are wonderful, the story line is fantastic and the author does a great job making you feel like you’re right there in Aspen Cove with all the characters. I can’t wait to read more from this series!

Well this series is definitely one not to miss. Even though its the ninth
book they do not have to be read in order but I same of the characters are
from the books before this one so you would have a better understanding
Of what the people are like in Aspen Cove.
Now to tell you a bit about the latest couple to form a relationship.
Eden was having a baby for her sister and brother in law but things do not
go as planed her sister broke up with her husband and tol Eden to put it up
for adoption. Eden was going to her aunts and she stop in Aspen Cove on the
way. She was outside of a cafe when she landed on her knees with pain this is where
Thomas Comes into the picture and most of our friends from Aspen Cove to find out
what I mean you will have to read it for yourself.

The best thing about reading an Aspen Cove book is knowing that there’s always going to be a happy ending! I love to escape to this town and Eden’s and Thomas’ story did not disappoint me. We first got to know Thomas in Luke’s story (Aspen Cove #8) and I was very curious what woman would catch this affirmed bachelor’s eye. Well it’s Eden. She’s the kindest person and everyone around her has taken advantage of her. Now she finds herself alone, 8 months pregnant and in Aspen Cove. Doc has forbidden her from traveling to Alaska which was her destination and Thomas ends up offering her a place to stay much to his own surprise. These two have so much in common that once they’re together, Thomas starts to reexamine his bachelor ways. This is an absolutely sweet love story with very little steam (Eden is 8 months pregnant after all!) and it stands alone however I recommend reading the other books in the series so that you will come to love the characters as much as I do. It’s told from dual POV and Aspen Cove is truly the best fictional town in the country!
I loved Thomas and Edens story. The characters were unique and interesting in this town and the story was so much fun that I could not stop reading! Good read

I was able to take another trip back to Aspen Cove and hangout with some of my old friends and met some new ones. I was so happy to finally see Thomas find someone for him. Even if it unusual circumstances. But then again who am I to tell fate she is wrong. Aspen Cove is one of those series that you start off thinking that you will do a slow read to savor the experience but you get so caught up in the characters that feel like old friends you find yourself at the last page at 4 in the morning and eye’s screaming that they cant read one more word.
Favorite Quotes:
The old man finished off his beer. “Son, there are two things I never kid about. One is hemorrhoids and the other is women. It’s time you found yourself the latter because sitting on your ass at home alone will give you the former.”
DNA doesn’t make you a family. It just makes you related.
“You’re either a friend or a friend we haven’t met. We’ve met you, so now you’re a friend. No one turns their back on a friend.” Eden let out a semi-hysterical laugh. “No, you have to be related for that kind of dismissal.”
My sweetheart, Agatha. Damn woman is crazy to love an old fart like me, but she does, and I’m not investing in therapy to cure her.
Just let me know what you’re looking for. I have two bad habits. Loose women and garage sales.
It’s the detours that make life exciting.
Yes, there’s nothing like the feel of another woman’s child. At the end of the day, I get to go home and sleep eight hours. My boobs are still where they were years ago, and I can have all the wine I want.
My Review:
I giggle-snorted my way through this delightfully amusing and tender sweet small-town romance. This was a fun and satisfying read. I typically avoid pregnancy stories but since I will gleefully put up anything Kelly Collins cares to print (although I’d have to think long and hard if she took a turned at zombies), I was willing to give it a perusal and lucky me, it was one of her best. The storylines were relevant, topical, and thoughtfully put forth with an interesting and colorful cast of quirky small-town personalities for extra flavor. I adored this couple and enjoyed spending time with them.
I want to live in Aspen Cove! This story wasn’t what I expected by the cover, I know, I know don’t judge a book by its cover. But it was definitely a more interesting backstory than I would have cooked up myself. Once things got rolling, I had a feeling of what was going to happen, and I did get that part right, but all of the details made it enjoyable even if it was slightly predictable. Thomas works fast – that’s for sure, but after hearing his story, you had to root for him. And my goodness I already can’t wait for the next book! Another excellent book in this series
I love visiting Aspen Cove and with each book in the series I fall in love with the small town all over again. Eden and Thomas are perfect for each other and I loved how the town worked to get them together. This is a heartwarming and emotional story with an unexpected twist and what an ending. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
So I had already meet some of the characters, but I wasn’t aware of that until the first half of the book. I fell in love with Aspen Coven in One Hundred Reasons, but with One Hundred Goodbyes this love just grew too much, this town has something special, every character is unique, but Eden Webster is one of the best characters ever, she’s selfless, she loves like noneone and she’s a strong woman, so the way her story is told just shows how amazing she is, you’re going to love her personality and her way to think about her problems. And if we need to talk about a book hero, Thomas is your man, he’s the real prince in shining armor, he’s thoughfull, he’s funny and he’s lovely, the mix of this two characters its going to show you how love can conquer everything, but above all, and THIS is important, the love of this town is what let us fall in love with each story, this characters are the amazing characters just because this town and its residents let them be amazing.
So here is want I think, you totally should read this book, and not just this one but the whole series, its amazing, and please do me a favor, fall in love with Aspen Coven as much as I am.Kelly Collins
Aspen Cove has become almost a real place to me with the beautiful books that Kelly Collins has written and this one is no exception the thing that makes these books is the characters that are such a deep part of every book
This is Edan and Thomas’s story He is a local firefighter who has sworn off women and his friends are determined he should rethink this When he comes to the aid of a eight months pregnant woman who has just arrived in ton he may start to rethink his ideas. Edan agreed to be her sister Suzanne surrogate now her sister has abandoned her and she is eight months pregnant and all alone that is till a certain firefighter an his friends step up to help her. As Thomas grows closer to Edan and realises she is nothing like the woman that broke his heart he starts to fall in love but when Edan past comes closer to her he will have to step up to keep her and her baby safe
Aspen Cove has love and kindness in the air or maybe it’s in their water. Eden loves her older sister and will do anything to get her sister to love her back, but that sister would have to have a heart. Eden is left to fend for herself when she stops in Aspen Cove on her way to Alaska. Hunky fireman Thomas comes to her rescue in a medical emergency. The whole town comes to Eden’s aid with love and kindness, nothing Eden has experienced in her life. The love story between Thomas and Eden is beautiful and heartful. This truly a feel-good book so full of love and emotion with great characters with just enough drama to keep it interesting. Great Book!!
