Not much.Had hoped that it would get better but never happened,
Taylor and Blake were high school sweethearts who made a big mistake. Under her Mom’s influence, Taylor lied to Blake and then moved away. Sam is the result and he’s an engaging child with anger issues. Now Blake moves back to town where Taylor and Sam live. Some parts of the story are just not quite believable reactions to the situation but it is a good story of redemption. We’re all sinners and forgiven if we repent.

One Faithful Prayer, Faithful Love Series, Book 1. A story of young love between two teenagers that gave into the temptation of sex before marriage. Blake was planning to go to school to be a preacher and be used where he was needed. Taylor did not want to ruin his dream in life when she found out that the seed of sin they planted had taken form as a baby. Being so young she had to follow her mother’s choice for her if she wanted to keep her baby. Another sin was done in lying to the one she loved that their baby had died so soon after finding out about him. Her mother moved them away and went to live with her father. Her grandfather was a great influence on the young girl in that he said she first needed to repent of the sin they committed and to love her child and raise that child in the Lord.
Ten years later, Taylor has gave up things and worked hard carrying the guilt of lying to her first love about the baby, and to her son Sam about his father. When Blake is asked to come back to his hometown to help in the local church youth group, he finds out the secret that has been hidden for all these years. What a great shock to receive! But, instead of staying and taking his responsibility of being a full time father, he thinks his responsibility to start more churches in another state was his calling and he left abruptly because he was scared. I am sure Taylor had been scared for the last 10 years of how things would work out but she prayed her prayer that all things would work for good to them that loved the Lord, in his own time.
Very inspirational book!
Great story. Thank you
A very contrived story that I did not care to finish.

This book was inspirational & encouraging. How God can take mistakes and turn them into “happily ever after” if we would just trust Him.
One Faithful Prayer is a delightful story of faithfulness amid turmoil and deception. Thank you for sharing this vision. I would love to know more of their future and was sorry to come to the end of the book.
Good strategy – leave the reader wanting more!!
This was a good read about the redemption of bad choices made by young people who didn’t consider the consequences but had to live with them. God doesn’t cancel our future because we sin. He can redeem our lives and give us a future and a hope.
Good book.
Let’s face it; romances are all pretty predictable, but this one was just too predictable. Everything was just too easy with no real complexity to the characters at all. Everyone was just a little too good to be true including the instant transformation of a difficult child. If you are desperate for something totally happily ever after and need something super simple, this is a good read.
A beautiful story that holds your interest to the last page.
I like that it was totally Christian based but the characters are not believable, very predictable and not very realistic. Their behaviors didn’t line up with their beliefs.
It was a good message, however, but a book you can skim through very quickly and still understand what happened.
A very realistic story of redemption after serious sin in youth. Very biblically based resolution of difficult decisions after seeking God’s will and direction. An encouraging story.
The story is well written, God centered, haunting, but a bit too sweet, because in the reality people don’t handle things so easily.
All the people are sinner and they could get peace with God.
Taylor and Blake are young and only one mistake could change their lives, their dreams and plans for future.
One Faithful Prayer: A Going Back Home Romance (Faithful Love Book 1) by T.K. Chapin is a wonderful, heartwarming Christian love story. A story of high school sweet hearts that separated on some emotional terms. The couple goes separate ways. Then they run into each other 10 years later and a secret comes out in the open that will connect them forever. This is a very spiritual and emotional story that I highly recommend. I loved reading these book and it is refreshing to have scriptures of the Bible in the story. You can feel God working in this book and through this book.
Taylor and Blake were two kids in love who made a bad decision one night when they were unchaperoned at Taylor’s house. Ten years later Blake, a church planter, returned to town to help his friend, Taylor’s pastor, with his church’s youth ministry for a couple months. He is stunned to see that Taylor has a 10 yo son. This story deals with forgiveness–often a difficult thing for people to do. I enjoyed this story. Honestly, there wasn’t a whole lot of romance since most of the book was about Blake and Taylor working through their past choices. I completely believe that God loves and fully forgives His children for all of their sin and I don’t feel we should withhold forgiveness from others. However I thought Blake’s fellow pastors were fairly nonchalant about his child out of wedlock; scripture says that teachers are held to a higher standard and I think that the pastors should have been more involved in counseling him and that he should have been relieved of his duties–not forever–but until he worked through his serious problems. That is why I am giving the book a 4.5. I enjoyed the book and look forward to reading more from this series. I was entrusted with a copy of this book by the author and this is my voluntary and honest review.
