Seb Pierce isn’t exactly a cowboy, but after fifteen years on a ranch in Texas, he might as well be. And he’d do just about anything to keep the rancher who took him in so many years ago from losing his land…including returning to the wealthy roots he’s long since abandoned. Seb agrees to work for his stern grandfather for one year in return for an early draw on his inheritance. But he never … expected the agreement to land him in a quirky small town in Iowa at Christmas-time, renovating a dilapidated theater…and running into a woman he never thought he’d see again. She might not remember him, but he remembers her.
After too many years away from her hometown—and too many failures to count—Leigh Renwycke is finally back in Maple Valley and living the stable life she used to wish for. If only she could shake the old restlessness that used to get her into trouble. When Seb Pierce waltzes into her world and begs for her help planning the theater’s holiday reopening, it could be the solution to her discontent. If she pulls it off, it might be enough to jumpstart a new career…and to prove once and for all that the new-and-improved Leigh is here to stay.
But between old secrets and new sparks, restoring a town treasure in time for Christmas may not be as easy as it seems…especially once Leigh learns the truth about Seb.

One Enchanted Noel is a well-written, charming romance sure to put you in the Christmas spirit!
Fans of Melissa Tagg will love returning to Maple Valley and hanging out with the town’s familiar, quirky characters once more. They’re also sure to enjoy meeting new character, Sebastian Parker Pierce III, the hero of this novella and winner of the Most Hilariously Awesome Name Award.
Speaking of hilariousness, Tagg’s signature wit is ON POINT in this story. The bantering dialogue doth abound, dear readers! So much so, that I caught myself smiling at my Kindle App. Quite frequently.
I loved this conclusion to the Enchanted Christmas Collection. Although I’m sad to say goodbye to the Renwycke family, I’m comforting myself with the fact that I haven’t finished the Walker Family series and won’t be leaving Maple Valley anytime soon.
Leigh’s relationship with Seth is sweet, and I’m glad Melissa Tagg gave us the chance to see Leigh’s happily-ever-after. She’s worked so hard to start over, and I loved that arc. Seb may not have made me swoon as much as Drew or Colin, but he’s still a relatable hero and I loved watching his relationship with Leigh develop.
Overall this is a well-written, cozy, and heart-warming Christmas novella
What a cute ending!!! I’ve loved this series! Leigh has been doing everything she can to get her life on track and keep it there after getting pregnant at 16 and struggling with a prescription pill addiction. She has a cute little townhouse, a job she is very good at, and her relationship with her family and neighbors is slowly healing. Her daughter Winnie is a sassy 15 year old who vacillates between trying to get her mom’s attention and flying under the radar so she can get away with various teenage antics. When Winnie wants to do an expensive summer writing camp, Leigh starts trying to figure out how to find the money in her already tight budget. Seb, a man on a mission from his grandfather to restore old theaters as a tax write off, sees Leigh as a godsend. He offers to pay Leigh to plan the party for the reopening of the theater and her brother Drew to help him renovate. The theater becomes a family project, and Seb realizes that he met Leigh at one of the lowest points of her life. Rather than tell her that he knows about her past, Seb encourages her to pursue opening an event planning business because she has a knack for details. But when the secret gets out, as they always do, Seb and Leigh both hit a crisis point and are separated for Christmas. Seb goes home to his adoptive father in Texas where he has to face the radical change he has been trying to prevent by working for his grandfather. Leigh has to decide is she is willing to risk not only her future dreams but her heart. Who knew that love could be saved by a binder full of color coded plans? So sweet!
This is a book that I read every Christmas..the story is just that good and the characters were so realistic and interesting. A page turner for sure, yet you don’t really want the story to end, it is just that good.
Another excellent Maple Valley Christmas novella. Think I’ll be pulling out this whole collection every Christmas!
