So very sweet and at the same time steamy. It was like a well detailed step-by-step plan… Why readers would leave a review below five stars: the Talking parts needed to be smoothed out, or maybe some things needed to be said just like that? (not my first choice) A need for improvement in the choice of vocabulary, yet I saw all the emotions covered in mostly different ways so that it wouldn’t be too repetitive. The best part was how I saw all the basics and topics around this Subject being wholeheartedly mentioned – nothing to be missed… which made the sequence of events until the end really quite perfect!
Good book! It started off a bit slow and I wish there was a little bit more buildup of the a Hero’s sudden feelings for the heroine, but about 25% in the book really started flowing and I had a hard time pausing in my reading. Nice ending, too. 4½ stars
4 Stars:
What a fantastic read.
A bully romance with a difference!
Great characters, original storyline. What could be better?
Dalton the popular athletic high school jock absolutely terrorizes his next-door neighbor Piper every chance he gets. Until one fateful night when a terrible accident robs him of his memories, and he now sees Piper as the beautiful girl he wants to make his.
A wonderful start with so many fun side characters too, I can’t wait to read more of their stories in upcoming books.
I can just tell this will be the start of a great series!

4 1/2 Stars:
Dalton Payne is the undisputed king of Westover Prep. He lords it over the others with his other arrogant so-called friends and their one mission in life seems to be to make Piper Schofield’s life an abject misery. They have succeeded for years.
Dalton’s life so far is broken into pre-accident and post-accident. Pre accident he was an arrogant, nasty piece of work. Post-accident he is still confident but with his memory loss, he is unsure, so less confident and cocky. He knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to go for it and I admire that about him but he now allows himself to feel empathy for others and experience other emotions. I hated him pre-accident but then I’m sure we were meant to
Piper is quite a complex character; downtrodden and basically abused by her peers for years and years she has never really stood up for herself. Yet she does have an inner strength that is admirable too. She is an extremely likable character and one to be admired as well.
The emotional tangle associated with the elite seniors of Westover Prep is incredible. I honestly felt so incensed with that group I could have easily dropped a bomb on them, and that would have been a kindness.
This is an emotional story and quite original which is saying something seeing as stories about YA bulling are now quite common and the reason for the extra half a star. This storyline steps outside the box and explores quite a few issues. I’m looking forward to reading book two.

This is my first time reading anything firm this author, and I was not disappointed, this book took me on a roller coaster of twist, and turns, and emotions. This is the story of Piper, who for years has been tormented, and bullied by Dalton, and his friends, until an accident, causes him to forget his past. When Dalton meet Piper again he feels feelings for her, but can Piper get past all he’s done. This was a captivating read, the characters are well written, and have great chemistry. This book was heartbreaking, dramatic, raw, gripping, and intense!
Can I just say I don’t know if I want to strangle or kiss Dalton. He definitely deserves probably both throughout this story. Piper is an amazingly strong heroine. Don’t miss out on this book and I absolutely look forward to Frankie’s story.
This is not the usual genre that I read. That being said Marie James has done an excellent job of this bulling turned romance story. Payton is the poor girl that her neighbor Dalton has been bullying since they were in grade school. When a car accident robs Dalton of his memories he falls for Payton hard but can she over come all the mean things he and his friends have done to her? Great story!!
I love bully romances, the more torment the better as long as I find the hero redeemable and the heroine not weak, whiny and gullible and that’s exactly what I got in this one. Piper was written exceptionally well and even though I didn’t like Dalton something switched. Dalton has always been Pipers tormentor until he loses his memory and it all changes and his pull to her is greater then any of his bullying was. I loved the spin in this bully romances and devoured it
I will start off by saying I freakin loved this book. Now that being said after reading the prologue I was afraid to finish the book. I did finish and look forward to the next book so much. This book was not what I was expecting it was so much better. Marie James has taken a character that didn’t seem to have a redeeming quality and turned him around. She made him sweet and caring. Piper has a wonderful heart to be able to love and forget what has happened to her maybe not forget but strong enough to move past it. The characters of this story where strong and likable. I would give this book more than 5 stars if I could.
THIS. BOOK. IS. EVERYTHING!!! I think it may be one of my favorite books of Marie’s yet!!!
I wasn’t sure what to expect from the blurb, but since it was Marie I had to give it a go. Plus, I WAS SO CURIOUS!!! The whole memory loss thing realllly grabbed me in that blurb. That being said, I did not expect this story to be the way it was and I truly had no clue I’d love it this much!!!
I LOVED the love/hate between Dalton and Piper. The best part was, you knew under the hate that there was a crazy amount of love/obsession. The prologue had me dying a million deaths waiting to see what happened next. THEN we have the first chapter where even more insanity happens. This lady knows how to pack a dang punch!! I was OBSESSED from just the prologue. It was like sorcery! Witnessing first hand the amount of effort that Dalton put in to hating on Piper was almost disgusting. BUT at the same time, you can’t help but wonder what was coming next. And poor Piper! This chick wanted to live her life and do something different. Heck, the whole story came about from her trying to do a good deed.
I’m getting sidetracked here… lol. These characters were PHENOMENAL. The whole memory loss was this insane layer for Dalton and Piper, but also for Dalton’s family. There are so many layers, twister and turns to this story. It made for the best roller coaster. Roller coaster of emotions especially! It was as if we had two different Dalton’s, which was kind of amazing, and we got to see just how much power a person can have on a community. Westover Prep was everything you don’t want in a high school, and it was super interesting to see how things worked with Dalton and the school.
Without giving away anything more than I have (hopefully almost nothing) you just gotta believe that THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU! There’s memory loss, bullying, redemption, learning to re-live life, forgiveness, IT’S THE WHOLE ENCHILADA! I read this book in one sitting and I AM DYING FOR THE NEXT ONE!
This book started with a bang and it ended with a bang to me! it was a wild roller coaster! I can’t wait to see what comes next!
I finished this book days ago but had no clue what to say about it. If I’m honest, I still don’t really know what to say about this book.
I have never read a highschool bully book like this. Ever. I felt all the emotions Piper felt as if I was walking in her shoes. Dalton is one of those characters that I just couldn’t bring myself to like. He brought up lots of old memories I wish I could forget from highschool, the only difference he was able to redeem himself! By the end I was loving Dalton. I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait for the next one in this series!!
Ok so the first thing to suck me in was it was by none other than Marie James! The second was the blurb and if that wasn’t enough to seal the deal then after the first few lines I was hooked and there was no turning back.
This story is like nothing this author has written before and has me all kinds of excited to see where this series is going to go.
The story was so well executed, even the characters had a depth that was refreshing to see. I find it hard to believe when the hero or heroine just forgive at the drop of a hat but the way Dalton and Piper dealt with it, I felt it. I understood the obstacles they had to overcome and it was so real and raw, I understood. I totally got it.
This bully romance was not like anything I’d read before and it’s safe to say it’s one I highly highly recommend!! Bring on Frankie‘s story!!
Oh my gosh. It was like watching an action movie filled with suspense. My heart never stopped pounding. I did find the end a little anti-climatic but I actually think that was an intentional lead-in to the next book in the series. Loved it!
I loved this book. This is unlike any other book Marie James has written. I have read all her books but this one has a whole new edge and spin to it. It is an enemies to lovers book for sure. It has a lot of bullying in it from a highschool stand point. It has romance, mystery, drama, and a love story. – By Kristina
He loves what he can’t remember…she can’t forget the truth.
Wow! This is my first HS bully romance and I’m so glad I took the chance and read it and it’s told in duel POV. I knew Marie James would deliver a fantastic book based on her other works. While this is a new trope for her she kept to her style of writing a wonderful, angsty, emotional, supercharged story line. I was hooked from the first page.
Dalton is an arrogant teenage a-hole who has made it his life mission to torment the girl next door. Piper is sweet and shy. She doesn’t stand up for herself against Dalton and his tyrannizing band of followers because to her it’s just easier to keep her head down and not antagonize them in any way. She tried once and once was enough for her to realize keeping quiet and her head down was less likely to get her physically hurt.
After an incident that caused these two to be in an accident together, Dalton has no memory of the time he has spent torturing Piper and Piper can’t forget what he has done to her, but she has a secret that is eating away at her. After the accident Dalton is so different towards her that she can’t wrap her head around the abrupt change…is he being sincere or is this just another ploy to get her to let her guard down?
As we see into the past relationship between these two and the way they are in the present we have to wonder if forgiveness, love and a future are even possible for these two. There were times I wanted to shake Piper and times I wanted to smack Dalton. But in the end I believe these two grew a lot over their senior year summer not only with each other but within themselves and the choices they made. I can’t wait to see them again in Frankie’s book…Frankie has a lot of explaining to do in book 2.
One-Eighty is Staggering! This is one book you will not forget! let me start with I’ve never read any of James’s previous books, so this is a completely new author for me. The Blurb struck me and I will never be the same again! James blew me away with this emotionally gripping read! One-Eighty is one of those books that just comes around and changes you! It’s Heart-crushing and so very raw, this book will make you bleed! It makes you think and forces you to feel, I cried my heart out for these characters! From beginning to end your body is seized by this invisible force that steals your breath and keeps you trembling with adrenaline. I devoured each chapter waiting for that feeling to detonate and it irrevocably shattered me! This is a one of kind story, it’s astonishing in every way! It’s not your typical bully romance, Original doesn’t come close to describing how “in a class of its own” One-Eighty truly is. I don’t think my words can do this story justice, all I can say is Read it, Feel it, let it sink into your bones and steal a piece of your heart! I’m James’s new favorite fan and I’m dying for book two in Westover prep, which will be Frankie’s story! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Wow. Marie James takes the bully romance to an all new level. I admit I struggled a bit at first. Normally, we just get the glossed over version of how the bullying takes place, but James spared no detail in her rendition and it was hard to read at times. My heart broke for Piper, but I admired her for her strength and resilience, but even more so for her ability to overcome and forgive. I didn’t care for Dalton much at first, but after his accident, he really and truly seemed to be remorseful. In the end, I ended up liking the guy a lot and felt he finally gave in to the feelings he had for Piper all along. As always, Marie’s writing is phenomenal. I’m looking forward to the next book.

One Eighty, the first book in the Westover Prep series is a high school bully romance with a difference. This novel had an interesting storyline with flawed, developed characters. This enemies to lovers story was a bit emotional and angsty as it highlights the effects bully can have on a person but soon turned into a sweet love story as Dalton tries to make amends for all the wrongs he done Piper in the past. This story was much more tame than other bully romances I’ve read and I’m interested to see what happens in the next book in this series.I would recommend this novel to all lovers of enemies to lovers romance.
