Raine Kendall has been in love with her boss, Macen Hammerman, for years. Determined to make the man notice that she’s a grown woman with desires and needs, she pours out her heart and offers her body to him—only to be crushingly rejected. But when his friend, very single, very sexy Liam O’Neill watches the other Dom refuse to act on his obvious feelings for Raine, he resolves to step in and do … do whatever it takes to help Hammer find happiness again, even rousing his friend’s possessive instincts by making the girl a proposition too tempting to refuse. But he never imagines that he’ll end up falling for her himself.
Hammer has buried his lust for Raine for years. After rescuing the budding runaway from an alley behind his exclusive BDSM Dungeon, he has come to covet the pretty submissive. But tragedy has taught him that he can never be what she needs. So he watches over her while struggling to keep his distance. Liam’s crafty plan blindsides Hammer, especially when he sees how determined his friend is to possess Raine for his own. Hammer isn’t ready to give the lovely submissive over to any other Dom, but can he heal from his past and fight for her? Or will he lose Raine if she truly gives herself—heart, body, and soul—to Liam?

Three lives shift from one ill-thought decision. Raine has loved Hammer almost from the moment he saved her from the streets. And he has burned for her but denied them both because of ghosts from the past. Liam has stood by his best friend and tries to push him in Raine’s direction but trips himself up when he starts to lose his heart to her.
Three people and so many complications! I love the fire between Raine and both of these men. My heart hurts for all of them because of too much pain and too many unsaid words.
The ending was magnificent and so heartbreaking at the same time. Shayla, Jenna, and Isabella are weaving a gripping story that can only get better and worse and more blazing before it is through.
As a whole, I love the ‘Doms of her life’ Series. My favorite character was Liam-LOVE him! This book was my favorite out of all of them because I loved the time Raine and Liam spent in his cabin with just the two of them. I was actually really sad when I got to the end of the series. Not going to spoil it for you, but the spotlight with Liam and Raine together was my favorite.
This book was so intensely involved and good that I can’t wait to read next books in the series. I was conflicted for Raine to choose between Mason and Liam. There were moments where I was hoping that she would make a decision already, but then I understand the dilemma of Shayla Black, Jenna Jacob & Isabella LePearl for writing this wonderful and romantic menage story in to 4 books. I actually thought that Raine would only choose one of them by the end of this book. But all three autors did a fabulous job with the story and characters. There was action, romance, thriller, comedy and little sadness in this book that I wasn’t ready to end it, just yet. OMG the audio is amazingly hot if you think the book was too hot to read, than wait till you hear Christian Fox. Most definitely worth 5*****
This is a fantastic series!
I have been hearing about this series for about a year and finally decided to start it. Book one is awesome! It is a love triangle at it best, you are not sure who to root for and the angst is so good. I am not normally a fan of series that end in some what of a cliffhanger ( it really is not that bad compared to others) but I can’t wait to see what happens next! If you are looking for a great read with steamy romance, suspense, angst and a amazing love triangle this is you next read! I can’t wait to start the next book!

Yup, this checks nearly all my boxes of what makes an audiobook terrible.
DNF @ 50%. I doubt I would have made it this far but I kept waiting to hear something that would remotely justify the 5-Star reviews.
I guess if you have Audible Escape and are willing to invest 44 hours in this circus, go for it.
Don’t know how it got higher stars, forced self through it and was thankful for the end. If this is how Dom’s act then I don’t see how anyone has one.
The first book in the series so it end in a cliff.
So far I am not too sure about the characters. I love Liam and how he treats raine and shows her what a D/s relationship entails.
Raine was a mix for me. She was all over the place emotion wise and longs for a D/s relationship, but then acted like a brat at the same time.
Macen, i don’t really care for. he cares for Raine, but also treats her with disregard and no thought for her emotions and feelings. He acts like a spoilt child.
