Emma Winters has the job of her dreams, top chef at the Pine Tree Inn. Lives in the town she loves, Christmas Mountain, Montana. She also has no interest in letting anyone close enough to hurt her again, once was quite enough.
Seth Mason left Christmas Mountain to make a name for himself and he finally has. Now he returns to the little town to find the one woman who he lost years ago.
He left Emma once now he will do whatever he has to do, move anything in his way to her her love back.
Emma and Seth, a story of second chances, set in a magical town in Montana called Christmas Mountain. Where anything can happen if you just let yourself believe.
Seth and Emma’s relationship was complicated. They broke up when she wouldn’t leave with him. She thought he was making her choose him over her cooking career. She works for a nasty man who doesn’t tell her what she needs to know and puts her down constantly and has a mother who keeps torturing her with awful blind dates. Seth sweeps back in planning a party at the lodge and trying to win her back. But with the walls she’s put up, it won’t be easy to win Emma over. I loved his sweet rescue dog Souffle and that he was throwing a Christmas party for orphans. This was a clean second chance Christmas romance with plenty of humor and romance.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This was a charming read. Seth Mason returns to Pine Tree Lodge, where he spent many past Christmases. He has loved Emma Winters for a year but left after she told him to leave. He has changed and wants to works things out with Emma and rebuild their relationship. Emma is the chef at the lodge much to the disappoint of her rich society mother. She has a secret that keeps her away from most others and her mother.
There were a few things that I was a little disappointed on. First being that we didn’t get Seth’s POV here. That would have made for a really more enjoyable story. Second, the way the book was written with disjointed points of the couple’s history seemed awkward to me. Plus apparently Seth, being a high-powered executive wanted a woman on his arm to basically show off at business parties. He apparently left with a woman. Well how did he meet this woman, what happened to her and why exactly did he leave with said woman?
This was a clean second chance romance.
Oh I so loved this story. I love the hero and heroine and all their interactions. I love that he wouldn’t give up this time and was going to win her heart and boy he had to work. But working together to pull off an event for kids really brought them together a lot to make this even happen for orphans.
One tycoon, one chef, one anxious manager who couldn’t keep his nose out of anything, then the amazing friends that have helped our heroine get through some really tough times.
This is a really good story with an emotional rollercoaster for our heroine and some for our hero, but overall it has a really good ending.
I received this ARC and I was not asked to do a review , but gosh I just couldn’t stay quiet and not review a really good story. This is part of a series called Christmas Mountain where these stories in the series take place or around there. I highly recommend this on and the rest of the series as I am sure the rest of the stories in this series will be this good.
