What’s the worst present you can get for your 45th birthday? An online dating profile you didn’t want. And Mack was all set to delete it, until a message from Hayden lands in his inbox. Hayden decided the best way to celebrate ending a long, loveless marriage was to have a one-night stand. Pity she didn’t count on a sexy, fire chief foiling her plans. Neither of them wanted a relationship, such a … relationship, such a shame fate didn’t get the memo.

5 PHENOMENAL STARS!! This book is PHENOMENAL!! I loved everything about this story. Mack and Hayden were older and perfect in everyway. Their story was fun with all the feels and some suspense. T. Gephardt is an amazing author, she definitely knows how to suck us readers into the story. You must read this book and series.
One Click Love is the second in the Hot in the City series. We met Mack in the first book. But, this could easily still be a standalone. There’s a good summary of book one in the story. Mack is a forty-five year old, divorced fire Chief. When a friend sets up an online dating profile for him for his birthday, he’s upset, but that quickly changes when he sees a cute message from Hayden. Hayden is a recent divorcee with low self-esteem. They meet, sparks fly and they begin a tentative relationship. Add in some romantic suspense to the story, and an amazing cast of firehouse family and you’ve got a winner! I swooned over Mack, and wanted to shake Hayden into believing she was enough. This is my favorite in the series, and hope that we get more books in this series for some of our other firefighters. I would definitely recommend this one.
*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This story was just as good as the last. I am loving everything about this series. It’s fun and flirty with lots of sexiness. Add in that the H and h are over 40 plus the added mystery and suspense and this topped off an amazing read. This book had everything I love in a great romance and I was intrigued from that very first page till the very last wonderful page.
I’m not sure who is next but I can’t wait to read more from all these characters. This is only my second book by T. Gephart but she has a new fan.
One Click Love by T. Gephart was a simple and sweet love story with plenty of steam and a hint of angst. A recipe for uncomplicated good time!
Fire station Chief Mack has a very predictable life that doesn’t include anything more than work. So his son like coworker Riley’s wife makes him a profile on an online dating site as a birthday gift. He doesn’t know if he should be angry or laugh at their ridiculous attempts. But a message catches his attention among all pretentious ones. That’s from Hayden. A woman who has become an insecure, introvert and almost pessimistic person from her failed and almost abusive marriage.
This story balanced serious and fun pretty well. Mack is the definition of a great guy. Loyal, protective, attentive and sensitive. And not to mention his nuclear hot sex appeal. He has the biggest heart ever. I didn’t connect with Hayden at first. I completely feel her reason to be skittish and scared of complications due to her previous experiences. But Mack was nothing but considerate and understanding. She was trying my patience a bit. She did want some sexy fun without strings but she was ready to bolt as soon as she realized she has found a real good man. That was coming from her uncertainty and feeling of worthlessness. But as the story progressed and she became a more assertive person, I liked her more! Mack and Hayden has scorching hot chemistry for sure. And I am glad they found happily ever after! The drama and tension at the end added to the depth of the story.
One Click Love by T. Gephart was a heartwarming and swoonworthy love story with the blend of sexy, funny and deep.
Received ARC for honest review
Finding Love after forty wasn’t in the cards for Mack and Hayden.
Mack got for his 45th birthday a profile set up on a dating site, definitely not what he was looking for. A crazy ex-wife, his handful team and family already took a lot of his time. The sexy silver fox fire chief wasn’t ready to jump into dating.
Until one message on a dating site changes everything.
Mack and Hayden made me smile so hard, swoon tons and brought hotness to the yard!
I adored how that man wasn’t beating around the bush, not playing games, intense but sweet at the same time. He was a bit tough and rough on the edges, a bit grumpy, protective with his family and team. Only a few would see his sweetness side and I appreciated how his adoptive son Riley and his wife, Quinn could crack his heart a little, with sarcasm and humour. So many things to deal with, between his crazy ex-wife and his job, he was pretty occupied. Responding to Hayden was a chance he wasn’t letting pass. When the reality was better than messages he knew deep down he wasn’t letting her go. Ever.
Hayden was trying to get her life on track and to feel something. Maybe just for one night, definitely not something for the long haul. Been there, done that. Mack gave her back her confidence she had lost after her failing marriage. It was sad to see how she could see herself or compare to other women firsthand but she was upfront about their feelings. A slight contradiction that would drive me crazy in the beginning. I could see her evolution over time, finally her way back, happy like she ever been with Mack, the sexy and intense man who never ceases to be supportive, patient and kind.
She was melting perfectly into Mack’s life and with his crazy crew. I liked to see Hayden found her worth and Mack was a way to express his feelings as much as physically than verbally, and it was just smoking hot. They were both upfront and I appreciated it. Cute and hot at the same time! Second installment and another great story! Can’t wait to read more!
This was my first book by this author.
This was a cute story. Hayden and Mack were pretty adorable together. I liked that they were both up front about not wanting to play games. I enjoyed the secondary characters as well, the relationship Mack had with Riley made my heart happy
From my 5 stars rating you can easily understand I loved this novel and I highly recommend it.
I read a lot of different romances sub genres, from young adult to contemporary, but I have to admit that when characters are near my age is easier to relate to them.
One Click Love is a story about two divorced in their fourties who found each other on a dating app.
Hayden is an employee at Target, Mack is a firefighter, they think they don’t have any time nor desire to fall in love after the failure of their previous marriages but who knows what the fates have in store for them. Will they have a one night stand and lose sight of each other or will they have a well deserved happily ever after?
T. Gephart has written some swoony characters but they also have flaws and insecurities that make them more real and I immediately felt the empathy for them.
I wish I would have found Mack before Hayden did but unfortunately in real life I have only met frogs on dating apps and not princes.
I received a free ARC copy of this book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is book 2 in the series and it easily stands alone. This is Mac’s story and it all starts with a little “one click love” ie a dating website between two divorced people, Mac is divorced and just celebrated his 45th birthday and an online dating service is his present. Hayden is 42 and has a dead end job, not many friends, an awesome sister, and zero romance or prospective romance in her life so she decides to try internet dating.
And they both meet online and decide to meet in person and that begins a very fun romance for two lonely souls. Throw in some ex drama, and this was a really fun story. We also get to spend time with Baby Ava, Riley and Quinn and they are adorable.
This was a really sweet and romantic story and I adored it. I hope Presley gets the next book.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

If you read Send Me Crazy, then you have met Mack. He is a 45 year old divorced Fire Chief. Here you get to meet him and a lot of his brothers. For his birthday though his friends set up a online dating profile for him and he is very upset about it. However that all changes when he sees that he has a message from a cute woman named Hayden. Hayden too is recently divorced and has some very low self esteem. When they two finally meet in person the sparks are flying. Along with the love story though you get some suspense that will have you one the edge of your seat. I really liked this book and I am so glad we got to see characters that we fell in love from the first book in the series too.
If you like a romance with older characters, pick this up.
If you like a romance with a sassy heroine who is trying to regain her confidence after a divorce, then pick this up.
If you like a romance with firefighters, pick this up.
Mack and Hayden are both coming out the other side of divorces and are looking to get back out there again, and turn to online dating. The sparks fly and I really enjoyed their romance. I can’t wait for more from this series and this author.
I received an advance copy of this from Candi Kane PR on behalf of the author. All opinions are my own.
It you are looking for a romantic comedy with a mix of suspense look no further than One Click Love, I have say this book was a breath of fresh air and I loved reading a story about a couple in their 40’s. I was captivated from the first page of Mack and Hayden’s story and there was no putting down until I had read the final word. Mack and Hayden were not looking for love and the last thing on their minds was a relationship but fate works in mysterious ways and in their case fate was determined to throw them together…..
This is one of those special reads that allows you to get to know the characters as they grow, you feel part of their journey from the first page and you can’t help falling in love with them. This book has all the feels, the witty banter mixed with the romance and suspense makes it a perfect read. Looking forward to reading more from this very talented author
This was a really cute story that brought joy to my heart, not to mention some smoking hot sex too. I think what I loved most was that the characters were relatable, everyday people and they were in their forties. It was refreshing reading about couples my age.
The writing was good and had a nice flow. I did have issues with part of the story, a specific scene which for me was very unbelievable. Yes, I know that’s what we love about books, it doesn’t have to be believable but having some experience of the situation, it was far fetched even for fiction.
However, with the exception of that, I liked the story and adored the characters. I would definitely recommend this book.
One Click Love by T.Gephart was another charming read in this series. The last thing Mack needed for his 45th birthday was an online dating account and yet, one response stood out. Hayden was ready for a one-night stand after the end to her marriage. Neither thought much of it, but what they found together could change it all. I loved how caring and sweet Mack could be. Hayden was so sweet but carried a lot of baggage from her pervious relationship. Their journey was steamy and fun with a bit of suspense.
Read and reviewed for Reviews From the Heart.
Happy reading!
Mack and Hayden 4ever!!!
One Click Love is the second in the ‘Hot in the City’ series by T. Gephart. It features Mack, the fire chief we met in Send Me Crazy. Hayden is his love interest, a divorcee who’s ready to forget all about her ex-husband and move on with a one night stand.
This was a sexy ‘over 40’s’ story but it still had the heat and excitement of a younger couple, but the knowledge to know not to go overboard in reaction to problems they might face. Honesty is always the best policy and that’s how they rolled.
Mack was the perfect older man, he knew just how to make Hayden swoon and she fell with ease. This was a fantastic, heart-warming story and well worth a read.
T. Gephart writes great comedy intermixed with wonderful humility. Her characters always speak to me and I’m never, ever disappointed when I pick up one of her books. One Click Love is a win from cover to the very last page.
Mack is the ultimate hero in a battalion chief; sweet, sexy, brave, compassionate, caring, loyal, etc…A total catch, but his ex-wife (who is a total nutcase) left him a little shy from jumping back into the dating world. When he is set up on a dating site, as a gift for his birthday, he wasn’t going to answer any of the notifications, that is until one particular match caught his eye, Hayden Green.
Hayden is newly divorced, on paper anyway. She’s been separated longer and emotionally distanced even longer before that. She is ready to jump back into the single scene, but looking for something short term. She’s already lost herself to a man, given away her self esteem and any chance of a future with her selfish ex. So when Mack’s profile pop’s up he’s just too sexy not to try and match up with, but when he actually answers she has no idea that he’s just the man she wasn’t looking for.
Neither Hayden nor Mack were looking for something long term when they met up for their first date, but after a night that neither of them would ever forget it was just too hard to imagine placing them into the one night stand category. Is it possible to find the perfect person through a dating site, especially when they have both been down the relationship road before?
Click on One Click Love and find out just how perfect these two matches really are for one another. You will not be disappointed.a
5 star review One Click Love (Hot In The City #2) by T Gephart
What a refreshing change to read a story about a couple in their 40’s. I was intrigued when I first read the blurb and could not wait to read Mack and Hayden’s story. The last thing either were looking for was a relationship but it seems fate had other ideas for this couple.
Throw in that Mack is a firefighter and I was ready to dive in. From the first to the last chapter Ms. Gephart wove a story that you cannot help but become invested in. It was also heart warming to watch Hayden grown throughout the book.
The characters were easy to relate too and I fell hard and fast for Mack. I loved the journey Mack and Hayden travelled in this sweet, at times steamy, love story. There was a good balance of humour, romance and suspense in One Click Love.
Just when you think T Gephart can’t possibly up her game, she proves you wrong.
In One Click Love we return to New York and the lives of FDNY’s first responder family.
This romcom will definitely have you laughing out loud and will even have you shed a tear or two!
Mack and Hayden are a mature couple who have both been on the marriage carousel before and are reluctant to repeat a bad experience.
But that’s not quite what happens when this couple take a chance with internet dating.
You will absolutely be rooting for this couple who both deserve some happiness, and where would it be better to find that, than in each other’s arms!!
This is a must read for those who like a bit of spice and laughter as a side dish to love!
Wow! Just Wow! The Hot in the City Series keeps getting better and better! Seriously, Hayden and Mack… (insert all the heart eyes here) … these two were just everything
Neither Mack nor Hayden is looking for love… maybe something fun but definitely not anything serious; but what these two become… their evolution… let’s just say fate has other plans for themYa’ll I’m OBSESSED with these two! There is so much honesty in this read, vulnerability & realness…. Two people who have already been through divorce, are both in their 40’s and simply not looking for love but got so so much more! GAH! So GOOD!
Seriously, you will definitely be walking around with a goofy grin on your face and all the heart eyes for sure after ready One Click Love. I LOVED this book & this series! && I cannot wait to see where T. Gephart takes us next
I legit let out a happy sigh at the end of this book. It was nothing short of amazing! T Gephart, you knocked this one out of the station-house!
We got to dive back into the world that we had a first glimpse of in Send Me Crazy, but this time from both Mack’s point of view and his new lady friend, Hayden. I was so excited when I saw that Mack got his own story, I couldn’t wait! When his “daughter-in-law” Quinn sets up an online dating profile for him, he’s not sure how to handle all these notifications, until he receives one from Hayden.
Hayden is new to the online dating world but that doesn’t stop her from jumping out of her shell and trying to find her old self again.
I loved seeing Hayden become the person she truly wanted to be throughout the book.
These characters are in their early 40’s, but don’t let that deter you! It was REFRESHING to read about mature adults. When there was a problem, they talked about it. They were honest with each other, which I loved. It made for a stronger character development.
These two get their happily ever after but Gephart takes you on a wild ride to get there… a ride you don’t want to miss! You don’t need to read Send Me Crazy first, but it’ll make you appreciate the side characters all the more in One Click Love, if you do! Jump in to Mack and Hayden’s journey!
I have a love for firefighter romance, as I am sure many do. Is it the uniform or the brotherhood camaraderie, I’m not sure, but I gobble them up like s’mores! I had been waiting to hear more about Mack since the first book. I was very fascinated about a man that could take in a teen and raise him as his own. I wanted to know more about him and how he ticked so you can imagine I was ecstatic to learn he was getting his own book.
This second book in the series has more of a contemporary feel to it than the first. Whether it is because they are a mature couple, which I adored reading, or their personalities. Either way, I still loved them and their story. There is humor and spark with a sweet romance to keep you invested as well as a little action…. and I don’t mean between the sheets…. but there was plenty of that too!
Mack we knew a little of from book one, with his moral code, loyalty and devotion. What we get to see here is more of that, but also how swoony he can be. He is simply a catch that anyone on the dating site Quinn signed him up for would jump at. But only one message stood out for him, and that was from Hayden. What starts out as a one night stand blossoms into a relationship both weren’t expecting. They each had been married before, so they needed to take baby steps to cement their bond together and it was precious witnessing. Hayden may have had concerns about her life but by the time we reached the epilogue she had found her feet post divorce. Some of this new found confidence was being with Mack but mostly it was her own true temperament coming back to her. Talking about the epilogue, I treasured the one we got here, it made my heart skip a beat for them and their HEA.
