An accidental pregnancy, a hunky hockey star, and a surprise twist you will never see coming, this swoon-worthy and heart-felt romance from bestselling author Meghan Quinn will keep you on the edge of your feet as you fall head over ice skates in love with your next book boyfriend, Hayden Holmes.“What are you doing now that your team is out of the running for the Stanley Cup?”Forget.I need to … Cup?”
Forget.
I need to forget. I need an escape.
Only one person isn’t falling for my reputation as the NHL’s Golden Boy; she captured my attention the minute she called me out for snooping through my best friend’s house. She didn’t want to hear my reason–she only wanted to playfully give me a hard time.
Adalyn is bold, sassy–and the perfect escape.
She’s everywhere. In town and in my dreams, and suddenly I need to spend every waking moment with her.
And I do, making this summer the best off-season I’ve ever had.
But in the midst of getting lost in Adalyn, what I don’t expect is to get her pregnant.
And what I definitely don’t expect is having to fight for her affection.

Could Hayden Holmes be anymore perfect? He’s a total gentleman. Respectful. Sexy. Charming. Athletic. Thoughtful. Heck, he wanted to wait while Adalyn wanted more (and holy moly, it was well worth the wait!) Seriously, this guy is the total package and I was not prepared for him to steal my heart how he did. Just as I know Adalyn was not prepared for him to do the same to her. She had never fallen for anyone the way she did with Hayden, and it took her awhile to fully realize what she felt for him. Yes, there were some misunderstanding and some complications thrown their way…..but there was no doubt how they felt about each other.
Overall, it was a sweet and heartwarming story that will leave you with a smile on your face!
I blew through this book, I loved this series so much, and this book was the perfect end. I loved that the author brought together 2 different series, it was awesome to revisit some other characters. I love Hayden, not gonna lie, He and Adalyn are the perfect couple. Of course there are ups and downs, but overall this book is a sure fire winner. The pacing was perfect, there was never a dull moment. Told in dual pov.
Meghan Quinn’s heroes have always made me swoon and fall in love hard but Hayden… Hayden is in a different category! He is a hot hockey player, a gentleman and more importantly he is PRINCE CHARMING. The way he treats Adalyn is so thoughtful and romantic, I LOVE HIM!!!
“I know one thing for sure: he’s ruining me for all other men, because he’s the exception. He’s the kind of guy that’s one in a million. The kind of guy you dream of. The kind of guy you take home to your family.”
Hayden knows as soon as he meets Adalyn at Racer’s that there is something about her that makes him want to know her. Despite Racer’s request, Hayden did everything in his power to find where Adalyn worked and when he did find out… the wooing started! Hayden is so thoughtful, caring and romantic but Adalyn wants more. She wants him now and he wants to take his time. She is so desperate that when she met his brothers she made it obvious!! I LOL
“He’s an absolute dream. And I only hope I provide him the same. I hope I’m his dream.”
The dynamic between them changed when Adalyn found out that she was pregnant. What will happen now that Logan is back in the picture? Will Hayden and Adalyn get their HEA?
I could not put this book down , Meghan Quinn’s writing is so addictive and she keeps blowing me away with her talent!!
#TeamAcSlater
I love me some Meghan Quinn. Her books never fail to amuse me. That being said, I had a bit a struggle having empathy for Adalyn. I’m not really sure why her situation resonated with me; nothing like that has happened in my life. But I had a really hard time reconciling some of her choices. I felt like she used Logan to be safe, knowing he had feelings for her. And I almost stopped reading when she wasn’t going to tell Hayden. GRRR. I loved the first half Adalyn and was mad at the second half Adalyn. But great writing evokes strong emotion. All in all, not my favorite in the series, but I did still manage to enjoy it!
I was highly anticipating this release! I am so happy with the outcome! I would give this story a 4.5 stars and highly recommend to others. The Jock aka Hayden finally got to tell his story, and boy oh boy are you in for a treat. I think out of all the characters in this story he intrigued me the most to see what was laying underneath his angst with dating. I will say it was a rocky path for sure but you will need to read to find out how it all gets smoothed out. I had some moments reading this story that made me want to throat punch Adalyn- yes I know she was pregnant but damn the woman really made me wanna scream and shake her and say wake up and see what is in front of you!
Hayden- we got a little of his story in the first in Three Blind Dates, but it doesn’t shine light on him as much as this story did. Adalyn was also brought into the world of Meghan Quinn in another story series of hers and I couldn’t wait to see what happened with her either. When you read books and realized how they all get connected even when they are different series is so awesome because I feel it gives you more insight on the characters you feel in love with in the beginning.
One click this story to see how all unfolds. I don’t need to give more details about this story because if you read the others books you can already anticipate about whats may happen next and I don’t want to spoil.. just go get it asap!
OK, so this was a first time read from this author and the synopsis had me so intrigued about Hayden and Adalyn. For the most part, I genuinely enjoyed their story, but it didn’t exactly work for me like I was hoping it would. I definitely want to give the other books in this series a try because I’ve heard a lot of great things about them.
So, I was completely hooked into their story from the beginning until roughly around 50% … and then a lot of things were just not working for me. Bah, I don’t like writing these kinds of reviews, but seriously, I wanted to love this so much.
I’ll start off with the absolute sweetheart that is Hayden Holmes! He’s definitely different when it comes to the various sports heroes we read about and I absolutely loved him. Being one of the top rookies in hockey, coming so close to achieving his dream, but it gets taken away. Like any athlete, an opponent can only push so much before they push back. And Hayden just did that, which resulted in him being in the penalty box during such a crucial time in the match. With the season ending not the way that he hoped, he needs to clear his mind, so he heads back to some of his roots to visit his best friend, Racer.
And that’s when Adalyn is introduced into the story! I absolutely loved her in the beginning, she’s the sassy nurse with a quick wit and kept things honest. It was so easy to see why Hayden was head over heels the first time they met. Even with Racer warning both of them to stay away from each other, they couldn’t resist the instant pull. Hayden was completely smitten with her.
Ok, back to Hayden. He definitely wanted to do everything right by Adalyn. He wanted them to take their time and boy, it was such a complete tease, but it’s so steamy when they can’t hold out anymore. I love his patience, truly a man with a heart of gold made it so easy to admire him. Plus, I loved that he was straightforward with her during every step of the way. Their future was unknown because of her full-time job as a nurse and his demanding hockey career. From the beginning to 50%, everything just seemed so perfect, but I was waiting for the impending news to come. Hayden can’t stay there forever and has to go back to his career, but I was wondering what direction the surprise pregnancy would take this story in.
In the second half of the book, I struggled with Adalyn a lot. And that’s when the major conflicts happen. I didn’t agree with many of Adalyn’s decision and they just drew me away from her character. Like girl, you have the perfect man in front of you willing to give you the world and you nearly throw it away. With her poor decisions and another’s POV added to the mix, I was beginning to lose sight of a happy ever after between Hayden and her. I was so confused with my feelings towards her because she was such a boss in the first half, I loved her so much. I felt like she was completely unfair to Hayden during the second half. And he was literally on his hands and knees proving himself when I thought it wasn’t necessary at all. He’s been doing that from day 1.
Besides my strong dislike for Adalyn, I absolutely love Meghan Quinn’s writing, it was so easy for me to get lost in her writing. Even though this book didn’t work 100% for me, I’m definitely looking forward to her other work. Hayden is a hero that many of us will love and first-half Adalyn is the best! I wished that carried out through the entirety of their story.
P.S. Logan can go suck an egg!
Okay, so I started this series backwards! I hate when I do that lol. I’ve only read one other book by this author, and it was a co-written one, but I absolutely adored it… so I don’t know why I haven’t read any of her others yet. Anyways! After reading this, I will definitely be going back to the beginning to read the other books! I loved this book and the side characters!
When the book first starts, with Hayden answering questions, well sort of answering them, I wasn’t quite sure what to think of him. I haven’t read the other books, so I didn’t exactly have an idea of what he would be like, but I was intrigued. As I kept reading, I absolutely fell in love with him! Adalyn, now… she drove me a little crazy. There’s definitely some baby momma drama going on in here. For one thing, it drives me nuts when the baby mommas don’t tell the baby daddy’s what’s going on (I really wanted to say baby momma and baby daddy lol). I’m a mom of four and I can’t imagine keeping that from my other half, even if we weren’t together, unless of course it’s a really bad situation. I’d feel awful keeping him from experiencing that incredible gift with me. That said, I wasn’t a huge fan of hers. I didn’t hate her, but she definitely irked me.
Hayden for sure won my heart in this book and I did love Adalyn much more in the beginning of the book. The chemistry between the two, the angst, the for real slow burn, everything was off the charts hott!! The baby momma drama was a tad irritating, but the storyline, it was all soooo good! This book pretty much had it all for me, the laughs, the tears, the steaminess, little bit of drama, lots of love. I can’t wait to go back and read about the other couples in this series! Loving this author and her writing style!

This is the third book in the Dating By Numbers series. I loved Hayden in the first book and I’m so glad that he got a story! This is my favorite of the three.
Hayden is a professional hockey player. In the first book, we meet him after he’s been traded and he’s new in town, with a broken heart. This book starts before that.
It’s basically in three parts. Before the trade, after the trade, and then the part where everything works out.
Hayden is a great guy. He is perfect.
Adalyn is a nurse. She’s awesome.
Their chemistry is off the charts. Until he’s traded out of the blue.
There may have been parts where I wanted to slap her. Especially because of Logan. She was so dang blind!
This is a great story.
I couldn’t put it down.
When NHL rookie sensation Hayden Holmes’ team loses its bid for the Stanley Cup, he finds himself needing an escape. He knows heading back to his old hometown will allow him the downtime he needs while giving him time with his best friend, Racer. What he didn’t expect was to find was the one women he feels is absolutely perfect for him . . . especially since she doesn’t just fall for his charms!
Adalyn isn’t looking for romance. She’s finally finished her nursing degree and is working at the hospital. She doesn’t do commitment . . . she’s all about a brief, but good time. She’s not interested in Hayden. And, their mutual friend, Racer, has told Hayden to steer clear of her.
When Hayden tracks her down at work, however, they form a friendship that quickly grows and the off the charts attraction is hot enough to melt the polar ice caps. Hayden wants more than a one night stand though, and makes Adalyn wait for intimacy so they can form a relationship first. When they come together, it’s completely magical . . . until Hayden gets the news he’s moving across the country. Knowing long distance never works, Adalyn makes it clear they are through . . . only to discover she’s pregnant with Hayden’s baby.
This was my first book by Meghan Quinn and I really enjoyed it. Hayden is perfect book boyfriend material. He’s completely swoon-worthy in oh so many ways, and the fact that he wants a relationship and treats Adalyn like a princess makes him pretty much perfect.
Adalyn is bold and sassy. She’s a definite commitment phobe and has no idea how to really be in a relationship. She’s too worried about how it will end before she even gives it a real chance to start. I liked her character for the most part, until she decided she wasn’t going to tell Hayden about the baby . . . I thought that was really selfish and downright cruel, especially knowing the type of guy he was. She did finally redeem herself, but, I kind of felt like Hayden deserved a whole lot better than this.
The addition of Logan added some extra drama, as Adalyn really didn’t see how he felt about her. All in all, it’s a fantastic romance with plenty of heat, angst and super fun rapport between Hayden and Adalyn. The ending was simply perfect. 4 stars.
One Baby Daddy’s golden boy, Hayden, is not only my favorite of Meghan Quinn’s heroes, but he’s also the ultimate book boyfriend because he’s an atypical professional athlete – one whose views on and desire for love as well as his thoughtfulness and caring ways puts him in a class all of his own. There seems to be nothing he wouldn’t do for the right woman, and while he knows in his gut and in his heart that Adalyn is who he wants, unavoidable circumstances create a fissure in their relationship, forcing tough decisions to be made and potentially ruining everything that’s developed between them.
I don’t necessarily believe that there’s such a thing as a prefect romance hero, but I would say that Hayden comes pretty darn close, which is why Adalyn’s change in attitude and her treatment of Hayden in the second half of the story frustrated the heck out of me. I get that her insecurities as well as her hormones play into her reactions and actions, but I just didn’t understand why she treated Hayden the way she did at certain points in the story AND the fact that she holds key information close to the vest and doesn’t seemed concerned with anyone else’s feelings but her own didn’t sit well with me. There were times in the story that I detested Adalyn, and I’ll admit, at times, I didn’t think she deserved Hayden, but her attitude and her decisions do improve, which eased some of the frustration I had concerning her selfishness and her inability to see the big picture when it came to what she and Hayden had the potential to be.
The witty exchanges as well as the charming and romantic interactions between Hayden and Adalyn illustrate just how good these two are together and they also prove why they shouldn’t let anything stand in their way from making a commitment to one another regardless of what may happen with Hayden’s career and/or Adalyn’s unexpected pregnancy. And while I know that’s easier said than none, especially when things continue to become more and more complicated, but because their foundation seems so solid, I didn’t quite grasp why everything became so difficult between them when life altered their respective paths.
Hayden and Adalyn’s romance is quite the slow burn, which is due, in part, to Hayden’s need to feel connected to Adalyn and his want for something more than just a physical reaction. The build-up and sexual tension resonates from the pages of the story, making the moment they finally do give into the feelings and desires flowing between them that much sweeter. Since being introduced to Meghan Quinn’s writing and characters, I’ve been hooked, and I’ve adored every story in her Dating by Numbers series, so the fact that readers get to catch up with previous characters as well as meet and get to know potential new heroes and/or heroines.
4.5 Poison Apples
I am absolutely, without a doubt in love with Meghan Quinn’s writing. She has a way of introducing to her writing world, a world that you as a reader will most definitely get lost in. Not only that but she create these characters that you can help but to fall in love with. The dialogue that she gives them will make you feel like you are right there with them in every single scene. I love that in a book and she gives me that with every single story that I have read and this was the case with Hayden and Adalyn’s story. The back and forth banter between the two of them is just something that I love so much and then we have the chemistry that they both share, can you say hot. Of course Hayden was the perfect gentleman, I mean he had the alpha male flare that I love in my male characters but to see him woo Addie was so beautiful to see. He also showed Addie that she was so much more than someone to just sleep with. He helped her to see her true self and that in itself was something to read about. Of course we get to see Racer, Rachel and Calder again, and boy let me tell you it was so much fun to see them again.
This book will make you laugh, cry, break your heart a little but don’t you fear because Meghan Quinn puts it right back together again in the end.
I loved the hero from the start, but boy was the heroine a piece of work!!!! Honestly I didn’t like her until the very end… to me the hero made the book lovable! I’ve been waiting for his story for a while and I didn’t get disappoint it with it! Just wish the heroine wasn’t as wishy washy as this one was! Hayden you deserve the world my friend!
This one is good read. I laughed a bit when reading this one (especially right in the beginning) but not as much as I usually do with Meghan’s books. Hayden is a pro hockey player. He’s just coming off a lost and just wants a to relax on the off season. Hayden a fun loving guy. I liked him. Adalyn is sassy and doesn’t have a problem putting Hayden in his place. As much as I like Adalyn I was still shaking my head at some of the choices she made. This one was a little different then I expected but it still was a good read
Wow.. Meghan has done it again with this book. I love her writing and her work. She is one of my favorites and this book is why. I was so engrossed in this from the beginning. Hayden is beyond dreamy. Even though Adalyn drove me nuts with her decision about Hayden, I enjoyed them together. Their banter and chemistry was worth everything this book offered. It was funny, sad, exciting and sexy. Fantastic book!!
Wow just wow I loved this entire series but I think this on is my absolute favorite!!! Once I started this book I fell in, I was absolutely devoured by Hayden and Adalyn’s story. I Hayden and Adalyn will make you fall in love with both of them. Then they will make you so mad and hurt that you will want to beat their heads together. I mean it will totally break your heart, like rip it out of your chest hurt!! But don’t worry your heart will slowly be put back together again. Have tissues ready because you will definitely need them. I loved seeing some familiar faces in this book. The secondary characters being those familiar faces and bringing in a couple new ones pulled this perfect book all together. I highly highly recommend this book!!!
~5 ++ STARS~
One Baby Daddy is exactly why I LOVE MEGHAN QUINN. It’s packed full of romance, steam, emotion, and laughter!!!!
When I read the synopsis, I knew I had to read this book!!!!! Hayden Holmes made me swoon and fall in love with him. Hayden needs to escape. His team is out of the running for the Stanley cup, and he needs to relax and recharge. Instead of going home, he decides to go stay near his childhood friend, Racer. He is looking forward to seeing his friend and maybe even escaping reality for a bit. What he isn’t counting on is Adalyn. He meets her at Racer’s house, and he knows immediately his life will never be the same. Adalyn was unprepared for Hayden either, and he will challenge her every belief about love!
So, I pretty much fell in love with Hayden from the beginning. Who wouldn’t? He is a sexy, good looking hockey player, but it’s his heart that really did it for me. He is sweet, and he is interested in more than a fling with Adalyn. He is also loyal, and once he is your friend, he is a friend for life. When he discovers he is going to be a father, I was even in more awe of him. Some of the most tender moments of the book is his wonderment in becoming a father. Adalyn would be so lucky to have him in her corner, if she will let him!!!!
In the beginning, I kind of liked Adalyn. But, by the end, I absolutely LOVED her. I initially didn’t understand why she didn’t let Hayden past all of her walls, but I did come to understand. She was hurt, and she readily admitted he could be dangerous to her heart. My heart really broke for her when all she wanted to do was love him and stay with him, but yet she pushed him away. As I came to know her more, I could understand why she felt the way that she did. Thank goodness, Hayden makes up his mind to make her his, and he doesn’t give up!!!!!
Meghan Quinn just takes my breath away. She gives me such butterflies. She makes me laugh until my sides hurt. She makes my heart melt. She makes me shed tears…both sad and happy in this one! Most importantly she ALWAYS leaves me with a smile on my face when I finish reading her last word. So, as always, I will be anxiously awaiting her next book!!!
4.5 swoon-worthy stars
I have waiting eagerly for this book and Hayden’s story and Meghan has delivered the perfect book and person for him. She has proved yet again why she is one of my top must reads with her trademark perfect blend of emotion mixed with humour.
Whilst this can be read as a standalone I would advise reading some of the other books in the Dating by Numbers and the Binghamton series as you see some of my favourite characters from these and why would you not want to know their delicious backstories.
Hayden Holmes is the third bachelor from Three Blind Dates #TeamJock he is a total sweetheart and hot AF. He was such a gentleman, a shining example of how to treat someone you love. Whilst on a midseason break after his rookie year in the NHL he goes back to his hometown to visit his friend Racer and ends up meeting a girl that knocks him on his ass, Adalyn.
Adalyn is sexy, sassy nurse that has a heart of gold. When she meets Hadyn the chemistry between this is off the charts with how hot it is. What I really liked was the slow burn of the relationship. Haydn really took the time to woo her instead of just trying to get her into bed. How they both retrained themselves for so long I am not sure. When they finally give in to their frustration they got too carried away and have ended up with an unplanned pregnancy which isn’t made any easier after Hadyn is transferred.
I have loved this entire series but I think One Baby Daddy is my favourite. Once you start this beauty you will be captured, hook, line and sinker, unable to put this book down until you have devoured every word. Megan brought her A game with this one making me laugh one minute then being choked with emotion the next.
Whilst Logan wasn’t one of my favourite characters in this book, to be honest i wanted to slap his head more then once, but I am hoping he gets his own book so that he can be redeemed in my eyes.
Yep, another award winning rom-com from Meghan Quinn! One Baby Daddy gives us readers EVERYTHING we are craving in a romantic comedy: Pure sweetness, hysterical banter, witty dialogue, charming, and full of heart characters and a beautifully done up plot! I laughed till I got a stitch in my side and I swooned over the heart-melting, pantie drenching romance and I even got a good cry or two in there as well.
Its a pure delight every time I hear of a new story from Miss Quinn. I love following her and keeping up on all her stories because I know when I get a new release from her, she will do me right in EVERY way EVERY SINGLE TIME and leaves me CRAVING more. And In One Baby Daddy we get a delicious/tempting/sigh-worthy hero in Hayden. He made me want to melt and grab him up and NEVER let go while Adalyn made me smile, giggle, and love her sense of humor and her quirks. When you add in all the ups and downs and surprises along with those heart felt moments and bit of angst and outrageous fun moments between them, we get a story that is sensational and just calls to the heart and soul of every reader.
One Baby Daddy gets from me, a CHARMING, SEXY, AND PASSIONATE FIVE SHOOTING STARS!
Meghan Quinn has done it again!
Hayden and his team just lost the biggest game of their lives and are out of the playoffs. With time to kill, he heads back to Binghamton for a little R&R and to clear his head. There he meets Adalyn, one of Racer’s close friends, and little does Hayden know that the feisty nurse is about to change his life forever.
I immediately fell for Adalyn and Hayden. Their banter from the moment they met was perfect. Adalyn and Hayden are immediately attracted to each other but are playing it cool especially since Racer tells Hayden that Adalyn is off limits. But with Hayden, who turns out to be the perfect gentleman, there are so many sweet moments and so much sexual frustration, all bets are off. When Adalyn and Hayden FINALLY get together in NYC, holy hell, I had to give my kindle a rest for fear that it was about to explode!!
Now, the ONLY reason why I didn’t give this book 5 stars is because after their New York trip, I really had a hard time with Adalyn. I’ve never had a hard time with a heroine in a book before and I really needed her to redeem herself for her actions. I felt that their connection was so natural, there was no reason for Adalyn to ever doubt Hayden.
One Baby Daddy really took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. From laughing one minute to crying the next, to swooning over a sexy and thoughtful hero, to cursing the woman who let him get away, I was completely in awe of this story.
One Baby Daddy is Hayden’s story and I swear this man is absolute perfection. PERFECTION! I’m not going to list all the things about Hayden that I love, it’d be easy to say there isn’t anything that I don’t like about him.
Adalyn is sassy and fun, and at times frustrating but still really easy to like. I didn’t always agree with her actions but I could kind of see why she did what she did. Hayden isn’t quite the player I was expecting him to be (you know with him been a NHL star) and for that I’m so thankful. Instead of a wham, bam romance we get an unrushed slow burning romance that gives you time to connect with the characters as they build a relationship.
Meghan Quinn can do little wrong in my eyes with her books. I discovered her books late last year and she’s fast become a favourite of mine. I’ve yet to read one of her books and not be thoroughly engrossed in it. They always give me a little bit of everything. The romance, the humour, the feelings, are all perfectly balanced in One Baby Daddy and both the book and the characters (Hayden) were everything I was hoping they’d be.
