I love the Spindle Cove series and can’t believe I missed this one. I loved it!
This is a steamy, entertaining, well-written, historical romance novella. It has likable, engaging characters, a strong and capable female protagonist, a heart-warming romance, intrigue, and a happily ever after ending. It is the second entry in Ms. Dare’s outstanding “Spindle Cove” series. I am looking forward to reading the next entry in this …
This book is one of my annual Christmas reads. I found this book by accident when I had a little extra money to send at my favorite bookseller, and boy did that investment pay off. I not only found this fantastic book but I also discovered the amazing Tessa Dare, who has become one of my favorite authors.
The romance between Christian and Violet …
This pulled me so into Spindle Cove I did not take a single break from reading. A second chances/childhood friends to lovers story and a wee bit of light, slapstick-like humor to be found with the characters of this series.
A delightful, short holiday read!
I really liked this one, it had a lot of depth for such a short story. A wounded man comes into town and crashes a ball, a young almost spinster lady comes and tends to him, finding out that they were friends when they were young. Things get even better from there!
Once Upon A Winter’s Eve, by Tessa Dare, was originally published in November of 2011. Winter’s Eve is book 1.5, a novella, in Ms Dare’s Spindle Cove series. I found it to be an enjoyable but only ok read. The hero and heroine are both highly intelligent people who have no idea how the real world works. I like the characters and their assembled …
I didn’t finish this book because of the curse words and sexual nature of the book. I had rather not read those types of books.
I love all the Spindle Cove books by Tessa Dare. You can’t go wrong with this series!
I enjoyed this book from the first to last page.
This is my second time to read this story. Enjoyed it very much both times.
Spindle Cove is such an interesting place! I thought I knew where this story was headed, but it had a little twist to it!
Is he a spy?
Victoria is standing in the corner at the ball when a young man staggers across the room and falls at her feet
grabbing her dress. Startled, she thinks he could be the man who disappeared and left her in tears and pain a year ago? So many questions. A second chance romance and a young man looking for forgiveness.
To far fetched for my liking
Lovely story of second chances. Just wish it was longer! I found myself turning the last page well before I was ready to be done.
I care for this book it was too erotic for me I don’t mind a little bit of sex but on the first page come on now I don’t need to book read a book that’s nothing but titillation And drawn out six scenes that go on for pages and pages. I want a good story! Something with characters that I can relate to.
Sex…did not finish
This book has a little magic to the historical time period. The book was a little far-fectched, but it was entertaining none the less.
Once I read this book, I had to go for others by the same author!
The Spindle Cove series was very enjoyable.
