My brother’s best friend has a proposition for me. Have I mentioned he’s a sexy single dad? Tell me more…There are a million reasons why Miles Hart isn’t the man I should date but allow me to enumerate the top three. He’s friends with my brother, he’s a single dad, and he’s a sexy, in-demand rock star. He might as well wear an off-limits, totally unavailable, and … don’t-even-attempt-to-ride-this-ride sign.
Then he asks me to be his plus-one when his band plays at his high school reunion, and the night unfolds in ways I never expect.

I have three good reasons to keep my hands off Roxy Sterling–her brother’s my business manager and good buddy, my kid is the center of my world, and the last time I fell hard for a woman I was burned so badly that my interest in relationships has gone up in flames. But once I bring Roxy’s body next to mine on the dance floor, I want all the not-safe-for-work things I can’t have with her. So I make a proposition.

Roxy and Miles are on one wild ride that going to lead them places they never thought they would go. Roxy knows there are heaps of reasons to stay away from Miles, but the biggest deterrent has to be that he never even asked her so much as for a coffee. He’s a rockstar god that just so happens to be the sweetest dad on the planet, making him the epitome of out of her league. Miles knows that he should steer clear of Roxy and with all of his baggage he generally avoids the tangles of the fairer sex. When she comes along when the Heartbreakers go back to play their high school reunion, he is hard pressed to ignore the passion that ignites on the dance floor. But is he just borrowing trouble with Roxy or headed for something he never thought possible.
I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book
This series started on the right note, and ended really, really well. Lauren Blakely made sure her readers are off to a binge read on The Heartbreakers Series. I enjoyed every book, and fell in love with each and every character.
I was already head over hills with Miles Hart, who isn’t? He’s a great dad to his son, a demi-god and a rockstar. He’s such a dream. But after being left alone to take care of his son, he has no time for proper and real relationships and he didn’t trust women that much. And of course, he has his issues with love as well.
Roxxy is just amazing. I love her and the fact that she was brave enough to take the risk and planned for her future ahead. She didn’t wait for someone (she was so done with waiting or romance), instead she thought about it and went ahead to live her dreams. Even though it didn’t conform to society, she didn’t care what others will think of her. She’s happy, and that’s it. Her character is just easy to love, she’s one heck of a woman.
And of course, there’s Ben. He’s totally adorable! I just love him! I love the scenes that Lauren made with him and his dad. Totally simple conversations that hits big time.
I love that it centered around with not just the romance between the two, but on family dynamics. It shows that family is more than just shared blood, instead, its the love that binds them all together. Just the rest of the Heartbreakers series, Once Upon A Wild Fling is an epic read. Lovely couple with off-the-charts chemistry, great banter, amazing plot, and a whole lot of fun in between.
This one is my favorite one from the three books! Lauren Blakely definitely left the best one for the end!
I seriously loved Miles and Roxy’s story! It is equally sexy, funny, sweet and flirty. I liked how both Roxy and Miles are mature and know what they want in life. Having experienced some hardships, they come out stronger and wiser. The maturity of the characters saved us from unnecessary drama; there were just the right amount of it!
This is a single dad, best friend’s little sister romance, both tropes I absolutely love to read! I’m all about family and friends, and I liked how both the lead characters felt the same way! Their chemistry is amazing and their banter and sexual innuendos are hilarious!! To be honest the real star of the story is Ben, Miles’s son! He’s so adorable
I was a little sad to see these brothers’ stories come to an end. I’m hoping to find out more about them in the future!!!
Every single book in this series has been an absolute joy to read and Once Upon a Wild Fling is no exception! A single dad story that had a different type of twist? Yes, please!
Miles is a hot, sexy single dad that made me swoon with every interaction with his son! Add in Roxy who grabbed life by the balls and is creating her own future, just the way she wants it? Sign me up! I absolutely fell head over heels for the two of the separately but when they came together? Lauren Blakely created pure magic! The slow burn, the chemistry, the banter…whew!! Miles and Roxy were MADE for each other!
Each book in this series has shown how family is so much more than blood, it’s who stands with you through it all. I thoroughly enjoyed every single book in this series and I’m truly sad to see it end!
Two people who are not looking for love find themselves finding just that. Neither Miles or Roxy are looking for anything. They have started a funny friendship of sorts and although things get flirty neither one wants to rock the boat. She is his best friend’s sister and she has a secret that makes a relationship seem impossible. Both have struck out in the love department and have struck a deal to be each others plus one when needed.
This story was sexy and sweet and the characters were undeniably great. This series has had me hooked and needing each book. I have to say I may like this the most maybe because Miles’s son Ben is just too cute and wise. You can help but to love him as well. This was another must read and I can’t wait to see what Lauren Blakely has in store for us next!
Once Upon a Wild Fling is a sweet and swoony single-dad romance. I’ve really enjoyed the three books in this series, the Hart brothers definitely live up to the Heartbreakers name! And Miles, the baby of the fam, might just be the best of the bunch. He’s such a dedicated, hands-on dad, I just loved that about him. You can hardly blame Roxy for falling for Miles, even as she did everything she could to avoid it…he is definitely a chicken magnet. And with Ben, his little chicken nugget, by his side, no gal could have stood a chance!
Neither Roxy nor Miles was really looking for a relationship- Roxy’s fed up with dating the wrong guys and decides to fianlly take things into her own hands, and Miles is focused on his son and his career, so when he proposes the “plus one” arrangement it works out perfectly for them both. Until, well you know, they catch feelings for each other! And then things get complicated and Miles needs a “come to Jesus” moment with his brothers and Roxy needs to maybe listen to her mother every now and then. Because when you care about another person as much as these two cared about each other, dare I say loved each other, you sometimes need a little nudge in the right direction.
Once again Ms. Blakely delivers a story full of the fun and flirty banter we’ve come to expect from her, while giving us a delicious slow burn romance that really heats up the pages!
Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author.. This was the third book and am assuming last book of the Heartbreakers considering that this was the last brother, Miles story. We had met Roxy back in the first book, so I am hoping you started with that one. Roxy is Mackenzie’s best friend and she was great in that book, in this one she reconnects with Miles who is her brothers client and also good friend so even though they are attracted to each other they both keep thinking they do not want to ruin that relationship however they did not stay away from each other and the feelings they thought they were fighting they really weren’t..It was a nice conclusion to this series, loved reconnecting with the previous gang. Enjoy!
5 Wild & Sexy Stars!
I can not get enough of these Hart brothers! Miles is everything you want in a hero. Besides being a famous rock star, he’s charming, funny, humble, and a loving father. When he needs a buffer for a coming event, a certain sexy red head, who is off limits, comes to mind. Roxy is his business managers sister. She is sweet, kind, brave, and focused on her future. When they become each others ‘plus one’, their chemistry explodes. But Miles has been burned before, and when his son falls for Roxy too, he fears he may not be the Heartbreaker this time. I loved Miles, his adorable son Ben, and Roxy so much! Miles and Roxy just click with the same desires and goals, and their chemistry is off the charts. Ben is so delightful, he is sweet, polite and imparts the perfect wisdom that only a child can. Ms. Blakely has created the perfect ending for these brothers and the women and children who love them. I absolutely loved everything about this sweet, heartwarming, funny, and super hot and steamy family saga!
The third Hart brother makes you fall all over again! Ashley @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Miles Hart is the third brother from the group the Heartbreakers and you will fall for him as much as you have fallen for the other two. Miles a single father trying to find his way while settling down in New York. Roxy is a sassy sister of Miles’s best friend who has decided that after heartbreak being a single mom is what she has to do to get what she wants. Laruen does it again with laugher, love, family and all that makes a romance leaving you wanting more of the Hart boys!
Lauren Blakely’s Heartbreakers series has been a blast reading, but more than that, it’s such a feel good set of stories that readers can’t help but gush over them because, of course, the heroes and heroines are dynamically amazing, but also because the insanely cute and precocious kids as well as a slew of secondary characters add so much to each and every story line.
The Hart brothers, while all unique, are a trio of intelligent, hardworking, grounded, and attractive men whose love of music and showmanship made them a huge success and continue to allow them to live comfortably while also laying down roots. Campbell and Miller are amazing heroes in their own right, but I have to say that their younger brother, Miles, definitely owns my heart.
What I love most about Miles is that he’s a genuinely nice person who cares about other people and treats people with the respect and attention they deserve. There’s just something about a sexy rocker who doesn’t want to be known for his music or his looks; he wants the focus to be on who he is as a father and as a human being and Lauren Blakely does a great job illustrating what’s important to Miles and the steps that he took and continues to take to put what matters most at the forefront of his life.
Roxy is an amazing heroine – one who made a series of decisions based on her OWN wants and needs, and I love that she focused on how she wanted her life to be and then went about making the changes necessary for that kind of life. She’s quirky and entertaining, and she makes everyone in her presence feel like they matter. I loved being inside her head and listening to her work out her feelings for Miles and what that would mean for them, especially with her pregnant status and the fact that she believes going alone is the best way for her and her unborn child.
Miles and Roxy’s ‘plus-one’ agreement is the ideal situation for these two when it comes to their aversion to dating and commitment, but the fact that they so easily connect and revel in their time together also speaks to how wrong both of them are in thinking any kind of relationship would never work because it’s more about not finding the right person, but now that they seem to have found the one who ‘gets’ them in ways that no one else has, the only thing stopping them from moving forward is their fears and their stubbornness, and I love how Lauren Blakely allows Miles and Roxy to slowly chip away at their hesitancies by creating situations where their plus-one agreement is needed, forcing them, on numerous occasions, to see what’s right in front of them.
Once Upon a Wild Fling is an absolute MUST READ romance; I loved the slow burn feel of the story line, which is more than appropriate given Miles’ feelings for his ex and Roxy’s current knocked-up condition, but, in the end, it’s more than clear that Miles and Roxy add so much to each other’s lives and become an irreplaceable part of one another’s family, and it’s the idea of family and its invaluable position in their lives that resonates from the pages of all three Hart brothers’ stories, and as their family dynamics are shaken up and added to, it’s quite obvious that they wouldn’t want it any other way.
5 Poison Apples
5 Stars for a Wild Fling! Get ready to fall again. Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Miles Hart is going to make you swoon… just like his brothers did! Miles is falling hard for Roxy and she is all that her name is. Foxy, Sassy and Funny… the perfect match for our Miles. You are going to love all that is Miles and Roxy. When Miles son Ben calls his dad a “Chicken Magnet” you are gonna giggle so hard!
Another book in series and again Lauren shows how good romantic books should look like.
When I think about Lauren’s love stories I have one thing on my mind – that they are sweet and adorable but in this sexy way.
Once upon a Wild Fling wasn’t exception. I spent with Miles and Roxy very romantic and loong night Definetly their story is this one which You can’t put down till You’ll see last page.
What is Wild Fling about ?
About love obviously… and when You mix this with being single parent and friends to lovers story line, this book will be as good, as You could thought.
My sweet Roxy and hot Miles… this couple istn’t pure like “tabula rasa”… They both have complicated past. …
That’s why Miles has cutie boy by his side, without any mother in the background.
That’s why Roxy made stupid choices when it comes to choose boys “right” for her heart.
They seems to be perfect for each other, but they also need some time to realize why they need to be together till the end of times plus who could resist all this love and sweet little Benny boy ??? For sure I can’t! Hearing about his “CHICKEN MAGNET” I knew in that moment that he steal my heart. I need to use this name in normall life .
Once Upon a Wild Fling will give You great fun. I really enjoyed this book – it’s pure romantic Lauren’s writting style.
I’m only little sad that’s it the end of my journey with characters from this series.
The title of this is a little misleading, as I don’t feel that the couple has a wild fling. I feel like the two of them are definitely attracted to each other from the moment they met, but neither was in a place to do anything about it, not to mention, neither figured the other would actually be interested in anything serious. Plus, both have the added responsibility of being a parent, Miles is currently a father to his young son, and Roxy is about to become a mother on her own.
Besides the fact that the title doesn’t quite fit the story, the story is a good one. Sweet, and sexy, and I really loved little Ben, Miles’ son. I liked how Miles was attracted to Roxy, that even her changing body was part of what he liked, and the more she developed, the more he liked those changes. A lot of the story was very realistic in my opinion as well. The way they kind of stumbled around trying to say they wanted more, but not being sure how to say it without scaring the other off. The way that they put their children or soon-to-be children first, but not in such a way that it felt it was only a part of the story to cause drama. I also liked how their families may have seemed like they could be an issue, for instance Roxy’s brother being Miles’ financial advisor and friend, and maybe that would be a problem. But instead, her brother knew what would be good for her. And then you had Roxy’s mother, who seemed as if she disapproved of Roxy’s choices, but in the end, it was really just Roxy being worried about how she felt, and that is so much like I think most people would be worried about disappointing their parents. Roxy’s mother was a wonderful mom, and all her ways of showing her concerns really just were being a mother.
This is the first I’ve read in this series, and they are all standalones, because there wasn’t anything I needed to know from the other books in order to enjoy this one. However, I am now intrigued enough to want to read first two books. It seems as if there are already kids in each of the couples’ lives, so that makes this a kind of unique series it would seem. Definitely worth the read, a bit of a rock star romance too. I loved how they came up with the song that it is is “Always About a Girl” at the end of the story too. I wonder if something like that is done in the other two stories as well.
I’m a total Heartbreakers groupie!! This book was full of my personal kryptonite. Sexy, single dad? Check. Heroine who is the sister of hero’s friend? Check. Adorable kid? Check. I couldn’t stop smiling and swooning while reading this book. I loved it from start to finish-and didn’t want to see it end.
Roxy was such a fun character for me. I think she had such a unique story to tell and I love how the Author told it. She’s smart, sassy and determined. Not to mention, she’s strong and determined to march to the beat of her own drum to get things done. I absolutely loved her. I adored watching her interact with Miles, too. Life threw her a curveball and I enjoyed seeing how she handled it.
Miles. Oh. My. Miles. Yes, he’s mine. He is such an amazing book boyfriend. Sexy, funny, sweet and did I mention sexy? I’d love to be on the receiving end of some texts from Miles. He had my heart from the start. He’s such a nice guy, and with that sexy streak? He’s definitely a chicken magnet…and I just loved him.
I have to mention Ben. Some Authors mention that a character has a child and then they’re kind of an afterthought. That’s not the case here. I love how Ben interacts with both Miles and Roxy-and how he explains things in the way that only a child can. He was adorable and I loved him.
So I love the first kiss couples share. I wait anxiously for it, truly. The first kiss in this book? Oh my! So hot and sexy I was fanning myself while I read it. The connection these two have is so tangible. I enjoyed watching them flirt and fall for one another. It felt so completely natural. Do they have hot sex? Absolutely. But what they have outside the bedroom is just as important and I loved seeing them navigate what a relationship would be like.
The banter between these two? Perfection. I love how they flirt and talk to one another. Like I said, I wouldn’t mind being on the receiving end of some texts from Miles. I fully believed everything these two said to each other-both in words and actions.
The supporting characters here are fantastic. It was great to catch up with the characters from the previous books (if you haven’t read the others in the series you can still enjoy this. It is a standalone!). I have to admit the relationship between Roxy and her Mom was portrayed so perfectly and I think it’s one everyone will be able to relate to-I know I did.
The pacing here was perfect. The plot was one I didn’t see coming and I really enjoyed it. I truly didn’t want to see this book end but I know this is a series I’ll come back and reread over and over, so this wasn’t a goodbye, it was a see you soon.
I absolutely loved this book, and series. It’s romcom perfection! I laughed, smiled and swooned my way through it. I will absolutely reread this over and over. I highly recommend this book and this series.
Mel B. Booked All Night
Lauren Blakely has definitely left the best Hart for last in the Heartbreakers Series. I am over the moon for this book! My heart is bursting from this swoon fest!! Miles and Roxy are perfection together. A magic combination of sweet, sexy, swoon worthy moments that left me smiling for days! I can’t get them out of my head.
Miles, the youngest Hart has the MOST adorable 6 year old son. Ben is gonna be a major charmer on his own, wait for his book 18 years down the line. He adds major hawtness points to Miles’ already charming personality. I’m not sure how Miles has stayed single all these years but I’m so elated he’s waited for Roxy to find his way back home.
Roxy is my kinda lady. She’s making life work for her, on her own and going after her own happiness. She’s has a thriving business, awesome friends and a bun in the oven. She’s the plus one Miles has been wishing for. After all, it’s all about a girl, all the time.
Lauren Blakely continues to be one of my favorite authors and the Heartbreaker series is another shining example why. Loaded with sexy men, fantastic women, she creates stories that leave a smile on your face, your heart full of rainbows and loves that are forever. So I’m going to continue swooning in the corner over here and daydream of Miles.
Oh. My. God. Lauren Blakely has done it again! Just when I thought her books couldn’t possibly get any better. Once Upon A Wild Fling is steamy hot, witty, sweet, fun and absolutely heartwarming. It’s complete and utter perfection with endearing characters and an addicting plot. From beginning to end, I found myself smiling, laughing and swooning like crazy.
This story follows Miles, the youngest Hart brother, and Roxy, Mackenzie’s best friend. Miles is a single dad to six year old Ben and has recently moved home to New York to reunite with his brothers and their band. He is sexy, charming, funny and an all around good guy. Roxy is kind, brave and determined to create the future that she wants. In fact, she takes matters into her own hands to make sure that it happens. Although, as she begins to fall for Miles, she starts to worry that her big secret may scare him off. Will the two of them find a way to make this relationship work despite this big news?
If you’re looking for a fun and lighthearted romantic comedy that will steal your heart, then I highly recommend you picking up this book. In fact, the whole series is a must read. Each of the books are so sexy and fun with such lovable characters. So please, do yourself a favor and make sure to grab your copy.
Once Upon A Wild Fling is the third and last book in the ‘Heartbreakers’ series, it’s also in my opinion, the best, not that the other two weren’t great, they were, but, this one just had that little bit something extra!
Maybe it was Miles’s Ben? Or the way Roxy took to him so readily, but it just made me smile.
I loved how easy they all were together and even though they didn’t think they were meant for each other, they made a beautiful couple. Ben was so cute and such an intrinsic part of Miles’ life and it showed in the story, but didn’t detract from it.
They had some quirky banter and plenty of sexy times, as well as the more serious stuff.
Miles was so caring and oh so sexy as the hot single dad/ rock star but he never let it go to his head. Roxy just took him as he was.
Cute, fun, sexy read. What more can you ask for.
5 STAR Review by Jodi for Ruby Red Romance Review
I feel hard for Miles. Good grief, the man is everything you could want in a human, a man, and a father. While he might be an in demand rock god, Miles number one priority will always be Ben. I think that’s why I feel so hard for him. It’s great to see a character who’s soul purpose is to be the best father. I honestly think they are my favorite.
We’ve met Roxy before. I loved her then and I love her more now. Watching the sparks between her and Miles was fun. I loved every second of it. Roxy is exactly what Miles needs.
I’ve honestly fallen in love with this series. I’m kind of sad to see it end. When I started each of these books, I could not put them down. I loved watching each of these men fall. Lauren Blakely did a fantastic job and I can’t wait to see what’s to come.
It’s finally here! Miles’ book, book 3 in the Heartbreakers series, was totally worth the wait! His HEA was sweet, a little angsty, and just Hot enough to blow your socks off!
Miles is the youngest Heartbreaker. He was left home, while his brothers went off to make music together, because he was too young at the time. He didn’t let that stop him, he just bided his time, and then jumped in with both feet! That’s how he lives his life, knowing what he wants, and going for it with no reservations. But with Roxy, he feels that he shouldn’t, so he doesn’t. Or he tries not too! Sometimes, temptation is a wicked thing!
Roxy is a woman of the modern era. Seh lets nothing stand in her way, going after what she wants, even if its a path that others would consider out of the ordinary. She left a high profile job on Wall Street to open her own Pet Spa! (I love that thought!) She has had feelings for Miles since their first meeting, but ignored them, because of his friendship with her brother.
This story was fun, a little bit sweet, and a whole lotta naughty! I think I laughed from the beginning to the end, and if that doesn’t recommend this book, then I don’t know what will! Definitely a book to lighten your day and bring a smile to your face!
4.5 *’s
This is the last book in this series of the Hart Brothers. Miles is the youngest brother of at least 5 years but he is by no means immature. He had to learn to grown up early when faced with having a child to bring up alone, and he has been single for the last six years. He has been touring the world going solo after splitting from his brothers but that has all changed with the reforming of the Heartbreakers. He is back in Manhattan for good with Ben his adorable little boy.
Roxy’s life has changed in so many ways over the last few years, and it is about to change again. Miles is her brothers friend and also client that has kicked off his career. She doesn’t want to lose her favourite sibling card – and his only sibling by the way – and ruin his business for him by crushing hard on the super sexy rock star. Knowing Miles’s back story, she is assuming that he doesn’t want multiples, O’s maybe but days… nights… and months together, that’s not on the cards, right? Is it all too risky?
I had a lot of fun reading this series. They are light hearted and have a touch of humor but plenty of romance. These brothers know how to swoon! Who was my favourite? I am not sure myself as each brother had a certain quality I loved. I feel anyone will be hard pressed to not fall for at least one of these guys. If you have read the first two, you will be happy to know that the other main characters have some time in this book too.
