My brother’s best friend has a proposition for me. Have I mentioned he’s a sexy single dad? Tell me more…There are a million reasons why Miles Hart isn’t the man I should date but allow me to enumerate the top three. He’s friends with my brother, he’s a single dad, and he’s a sexy, in-demand rock star. He might as well wear an off-limits, totally unavailable, and … don’t-even-attempt-to-ride-this-ride sign.
Then he asks me to be his plus-one when his band plays at his high school reunion, and the night unfolds in ways I never expect.

I have three good reasons to keep my hands off Roxy Sterling–her brother’s my business manager and good buddy, my kid is the center of my world, and the last time I fell hard for a woman I was burned so badly that my interest in relationships has gone up in flames. But once I bring Roxy’s body next to mine on the dance floor, I want all the not-safe-for-work things I can’t have with her. So I make a proposition.

Roxy and Miles.
We already met Roxy as the best friend in book #1. And Miles is obviously the last single Hart brother. He’s single because the mother of his six year old son Ben left them only two days after he was born. But Miles is totally ok with that now. He loves focusing 100% on his little boy. Ben is his world.
That’s what Roxy wants too. But how will that ever happen with ten years of bad online dating behind her?
For now she’s perfectly happy to be Miles’ plus-one to his highschool reunion!
And the sparks are mega flying on the dance floor and all through that night.
But he’s a forever single single dad and she’s done dating…..
What will happen with Roxy & Miles?
Will there be a HEA?
READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT!
Awww … adorable!
Such a cute and fun single parent/friends-to-lovers-ish romance!
I loved reading it!
It was funny, very sparky, sexy, sweet, New Yorkish.
I just adored those two and Mini-Miles Ben – such an adorable little guy!
And of course I love the other brothers and their ladies and kids!
Amazing cast!
We don’t have an insta happy end of course … it will take Roxy and Miles a little while until they realize that being single sucks. But they’ll get there. And we have an amazing time witnessing their journey to that happily ever after!
Great Romance! I will miss those Heartbreakers!
Plus also … I wouldn’t mind seeing this on Netflix one day!
ONCE UPON A WILD FLING was such a fun and adorable & sexy & parenty & New Yorky Rockstar love story!! Run to your nearest amazon asap for your own Miles – this one is MINE !!!
Once Upon a Wild Fling is all about the Miles Hart, who at thirty-one has decided to lay down roots in the same city as his brothers and to create a more permanent home for himself and his son Ben. Throw in the much-awaited reunion of the Heartbreakers–the band his older brothers started and which he later joined at sixteen–and life was, indeed, rather good. Who says he needs to be in a solid relationship with a woman? His life is all about his son, his music, and his family. Any naughty thoughts he may have of his financial adviser slash close friend’s sister aren’t things he plans to act on. Unless you count friendly flirting, but that’s all innocent. And the whole becoming each other’s plus-ones? It’s about friends being there for each other. Right? Wait. Friends totally kiss. Yes? Maybe?
There’s a wee bit more to the story than what I posted above, but yeah, I’m not going to tell you the one tiny, teeny twist because hello, no spoilers. Don’t worry though, it’s all good and it’s revealed very early on in the book. In short, go read this book. Heck, read the whole series! From the fun and flirty friendship that belies a very mutual attraction going on between Miles and pet spa owner Roxy Sterling is just part of what made this book such a great read. The rest of the Harts are there as well, but as much as I love Campbell and Miller, it’s little Ben that’s captured my heart most. He was such an adorable part of the story, and he looks to be a mini Heartbreaker in the making, though more into art, methinks. Lauren Blakely delivers a five-plus-star read with Once Upon a Wild Fling!
Graduated in the Ivy League, she owns her own business and is determined to fulfill her dreams without needing a man. This is our protagonist, Roxy.
Former singer of The Heartbreakers and successful in his solo career. Rockstar, single and responsible father. Beautiful to die with his baby blue eyes. How do not melt by Miles Hart?
And you may think: just another cliché. But a cliché is never just a cliché in Lauren Blakely’s talented hands. The difference is in the small details.
The prom, dinner with pickles and ice cream, the conversations during the walks and the ultrasound. Scenes that enchant, amuse and make you fall in love.
The POP references, the main and secondary characters very well built. Relationships well developed, full of tenderness and humor, so real and so delicious to read. The fluid and light narrative, which runs smoothly without any kind of exaggeration.
A reading that brings a smile to the face and warms the heart. That’s how we got to the end of another great Lauren Blakely series. And what can I say? That the Heartbreakers will be missed for sure.
PS: I can’t tell who melts my heart more, Ben or Miles.
I swear, these brothers just get better as the series moves along!
It’s finally time for Miles’s book and oh boy, is this a swoon-inducing man! I absolutely adored him! Not only is he funny, witty, and utterly charming, he’s a real sweetheart too! He oozes charisma and good vibes and you can’t help but be drawn to him. He’s instantly likable. Add Ben and he becomes one million percent irresistible (being a rocker doesn’t hurt either)!
Roxy is just plain cool! I love her attitude, her spirit, and her ability to make decisions without letting others influence her. She has a mind of her own and she isn’t afraid to use it. She does what’s best for her when the situation calls for it, but she doesn’t hesitate being there for those around her. And her upbeat personality is a perfect match to Miles.
Add these two together and you get a ton of fun! The chemistry between them is sizzling and their witty banter will have you laughing out loud. And I promise once you start reading, you won’t want to put it down. This is another great, unconventional story to add to your collection.
This whole series is fantastic!
4.5
I have really loved these Hartbreakers, but Miles just might be my favorite! He is like swoony to the max. He is an amazing father and such a sweet man I just adore him. Roxy is such a strong woman who knows what she wants in life and will do what it takes to make it work. I obviously adore Miles with Ben, but Roxy is fantastic with him too. I love the bond that she and Ben have. They make such a family so quickly and with ease. I really liked seeing their relationship slowy heat up and then combust. I really enjoyed their story and just flew through it. This was just such a fun series all around.
I am a bundle of romantic comedy reading bliss today courtesy of the super-talented storyteller, Lauren Blakely, and her completely captivating Heartbreakers series. These stories were exactly the kinds of feel-good, made-my-heart-race, smiled-the-whole-time romances that I love to read. Deliciously sexy, totally swoon-worthy and utterly charming heroes paired with witty and smart heroines with a few cute, bright kids (and some pets!) swirled into steamy romances are my drugs of choice, and Blakely left me in high spirits and with a book buzz I’ll feel for days.
Once Upon A Wild Fling is the third book in this wonderfully binge-able rock star romcom series. Blakely effortlessly blends the sweetness of a single dad romance with the slightly taboo best-friend’s-little-sister trope to produce a story that was an absolute joy to read. The youngest Hart brother, Miles, has been burned in love before, so he keeps his focus on his whip-smart and adorable six-year-old son, Ben. Roxy hasn’t had much luck finding love herself, and with her biological clock tick-tick-ticking away, she has decided to pursue her dream of motherhood without a partner. From their first meeting, the sparks flew between Miles and Roxy, and their connection was immediate and natural. But with their previous experiences and Roxy’s brother hanging over them, they instead settle into a plus-one-pals-but-no-benefits scenario. Chemistry like theirs can’t be ignored without eventually exploding, though. Blakely does what she does best by gently stoking that fire with months of innuendo-filled, flirty banter, a few wickedly wanton kisses and some dates that weren’t really—but totally were—dates that leave them with a powder keg’s worth of repressed desire just waiting for that one spark that will finally ignite an inferno of fiery passion.
Lauren Blakely has done the impossible by outdoing herself with the Heartbreakers series. No heavy, angst-ridden, gut-churning romantic sagas here—this, my fellow rom-com lovers, is a trio of the good stuff. Light-hearted and easy-to-read, all three of the books in this series were the kind of love stories that leave the reader happy, humored and hopeful when they’re done. Once Upon A Wild Fling was sweet and heartwarming and oh-so-sexy. I loved every single word of all three books, and the whole Heartbreakers series is not only a top favorite of the year, but it’s also a top favorite of mine from Blakely’s entire catalog. Five smooches from me for Lauren Blakely’s Once Upon A Wild Fling!

ARC received for an honest review
Lauren Blakely has left the best till last with the Hart brothers.
I have been eager for Miles Hart’s book since we first met him in Campbell’s book, and I was not disappointed.
I mean single dad? Check! (and hot!)
Friends to lovers? Check!
Sexual tension up the wazoo? Check!
Miles and Roxy’s story was all kinds of adorable. I just can’t with them!
Their’s is a bit of a slow burn, I mean they each want the other but fight it – whilst I am on the other side of the kindle screaming at them to go for it!
I cannot lie though. Ben (Miles’ son we have met in the previous books) is the real chicken magnet here.
This series has been wonderfully fun to read. The humor, beautiful friendships between the couples, and the glorious relationship the brothers have with each other is simply perfect. Miles and Roxy are both independent, trying to live life on their own terms, and not really looking for a commitment. Although they are both attracted to one another, neither of them want to complicate or ruin their friendship. The journey they take together is fast paced, entertaining, sweet, and enjoyable.
This was by fun audio read for this week.
Roxy has recently come to the realisation that she really wants to have a family. The time feels right and not having a boyfriend doesn’t factor into it. She knows the time is perfect to bring a child into her world. When her brother’s best mate, Miles, asks her to be his plus one at his high school reunion she is happy to help him out.
Miles is gorgeous, plays in a successful band and is a single dad to his son Ben. Agreeing to help him out is a no brainer for Roxy, she has always enjoyed spending time with him. However, the night does not go as expected, in fact it exceeds both of their expectations in a satisfying way.
Thus begins a very beneficial relationship between them. Roxy knows she is falling for Miles but is wary of having her heart broken by a man who could have any woman he chooses. She is not only falling for Miles, but his gorgeous boy Ben is winning her over too. She can totally envision a future with them.
The only problem these two face now is communicating what they want with each other. Will this developing relationship giver Roxy the family dream she is wishing for or will it just be a temporary wild fling?
The best one was saved for last. Miles is the youngest brother and a single dad and the last thing he wants is a serious relationship but he wants Roxie, his best friend’s sister. Roxie is an independent woman who has taken control of her life and she wants a baby and with no romantic prospects in sight she goes to a sperm bank and takes care of the deed herself and now has a bun in the oven and then Miles comes home. These two have such chemistry and when he needs a plus one they turn that into an experiment that somehow backfires and they turn into a family. Perfect ending to this series!
5 Sexy and Funny Stars!!
I’ve loved the other two books in this series and am so happy we’re getting Miles’ story with this book! He’s a singled dad to a sweet little boy named Ben and they’re both settling down now that Miles is done touring. Oh, Roxy is a woman after my own heart…she runs a pet grooming business that’s all sorts of fabulous. It wouldn’t seem that these two would be together, but sometimes there’s chemistry that’s over flowing and that’s just what happens with them. Course, she’s somewhat off limits because her brother in Miles’ friend and financial advisor, but that doesn’t stop the flirty innuendos that fly between them!
I loved watching their romance simmer and develop with a delicious slow burn, and then BOOM there’s only so much they can take and IT IS ON!!! They’re just all sorts of sexy with each other! Because this book is one with a slow burn it just makes their coming together that much hotter and sexier.
Just like with all her books, Ms. Blakely has given this book the right pacing and timing which is what our H/h needed. They’re both not looking for love, but when it happens for them I just know it’s going to be a forever kind of love…because they’ve both been burned in the past so they have a true appreciation for what they’ve found together. Add in Ben and his 5 year old little self and this book is all sorts of goodness!!
This is the perfect cap to this series and I highly recommend all three books for a sexy, sassy and funny binge read!
My favorite book of the trilogy! I’m giving it 5 out of 5 stars. This review is for an ARC, and reflects my honest opinion.
So it has already been established that I love these characters based on my high ratings for books one and two, but I loved this book even more. The interaction between Roxy and Miles was amazing, and Ben was the cutest little kid ever. I just loved all the parts with him, of which there were many. I can’t help it that single dad romances are my new weakness/favorite trope. I also enjoyed seeing some of the characters from the previous books, like Mackenzie, Campbell, Miller, etc.
The romance was pretty slow burn for most of the book until it wasn’t anymore. The focus of this one was more on friendship, and being a parent. Since Miles has Ben, he can’t rush into anything like most people. And also both of the main characters have some baggage from previous relationships/dating experiences that they are slightly hung up on. I loved Roxy’s job, and all the pets we got to see in the book.
I haven’t read anything by Lauren in years (I’m really not sure why), but this trilogy made me want to go back and read all her backlist titles, and also devour anything new she comes out with. I highly recommend this trilogy if you like rock stars, contemporary romance, single parents, cute love stories, etc. I am so happy I got the chance to read and review these books, and I can’t wait to push them onto people looking for romance recommendations!
OMG, I loved this book. I have loved all 3 in the series but this one is my fav! I stayed tucked in bed till 11am this morning because I could not stop reading and needed to reach the HEA. I must say to read all 3 in order. You will not be disappointed.
Lauren Blakely is my go to girl for fun, feel good romance, and once again, she totally delivers in Once Upon A Wild Fling! I’ve got a serious case of the swoons!
I loved the previous two books in the series but if I have to be honest, I think this one was my favorite. There was just something about Roxy and Miller that made it that much more intriguing. And it didn’t hurt that Ben was a complete sweetheart and melted my heart from the very start.
From the very first book in the series, I was intrigued by Miller. I suppose part of it was that it was never explained why he was a single father and to be fair he wasn’t around that much. So of course, when I got my hands on Once Upon a Wild Fling, I was super excited. And I wasn’t disappointed. The reason for Miller being a single father is heartbreaking. And adding to that Roxy’s bad experience in the dating pool, makes this story that much better. It is still a rom com and trust me, it will really make you laugh but it will also make you feel deeply about the characters. And when you add to that the cutie that Ben is, I can guarantee that you will be a goner.
In a few words, this is a really fun and romantic story about a super sweet and sexy single dad with a dirty mouth and a girl who gave up on the male population. So don’t think twice and #1click Once Upon a Wild Fling. You won’t regret it 😀
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Sometimes when you give up, you find what you want
I had a feeling I’d love Miles and Roxy! Ben is adorable. Roxy is spunky, determined, and funny. Miles is sexy, sweet, and awesome. And the cats are hilarious. Floved it!!!
What could be more perfect than star-crossed lovers making a real connection and ignoring all the reasons they shouldn’t? Steamy and very romantic and wonderful characters made this a fantastic escape!
First of all, I have a question. Can this series never end? Really, I could read about this set of characters for years! I need them to be real people so I can be friends with them. But I really don’t know if I’m cool enough for them. This series has 3 books. I gave 5 stars for all of them. For me to give a 5 star to a book, it needs to be really good, so you can see how I loved the series. It is for sure on my top reads for the year. Fun, witty, great characters, adorable children and focused in a world of music. Oh, and the last book has pets!! Really, everything needed for a great book.
Talking about Lauren’s writing is to say the same things always. Her writing is flawless and hooks you from the first page. She writes with a fluidity that compel you to not put the book down until you have read the last word, and will always let you wanting more.
What to talk about those characters? Miles is great with his kid, but so clueless with Roxy, that it is endearing! It was great to see him growing and changing.
Roxy is the epitome of a independent woman, she knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to get it. I loved her personality and the decisions she made.
Go read this series!
Cute fun forbidden romance. Miles is a young hot, single dad, and former member of the Heartbreakers boy band. Miles met Roxy, the younger sister of William, his financial advisor and friend, and there was immediate chemistry. Miles doesn’t act on it because he doesn’t want to risk ruining his friendship. Miles asks Roxy to be his plus one at his reunion to fend off unwanted female attention. This only ratchets up the sexual tension between the two of them. Love both of these characters. This was a nice ending to the Heartbreakers series.
I enjoyed this series. Roxy and Miles are sweet! Their little family unit just makes me smile.
