Light, entertaining read
Another writer with a wonderful original imagination! Couldn’t put it down…
very enjoyable to read. liked the characters, too much info in the sex department
Good read. Unexpected, satisfying ending. Great scenic location descriptions of old England.
Good story!
This was a very cute, romantic story. The female character was very realistic and practical about how she looked at things. The story did try to surprise you with the ending on the culprit and I appreciated that you had to try to figure it out versus basically having it told to you in chapter 2.
I rather liked this book. Your heart goes out to Mira for having such a horrific family who make her feel like a nobody and trade her in lieu of their precious spoiled daughter to a man who is thought to be a murderer. i READ ALL THE WAY THRU , LOVED IT
A Gothic/Regency romance with a brooding hero, whispered to be the possible murderer of three young ladies, being forced into a marriage to pay off a debt. Before the marriage takes place, his bride-to-be decides to clear his name and find the real killer. A real “can you guess who done it?”
I received this as a second look title. i don’t know how I missed this book before but I was very happy to get it now.
This well written historical mystery/romance is a winner. The characters are engaging and the scenario is engrossing.
I couldn’t put it down once I got started.
I am almost certain that the author is new to.me. I will look for …

What’s not to love about a Gothic romance with a brooding hero and mystery of murders thought to be by his own hand? Not much and this one embodied it all around! An arranged engagement to a lord of the peerage, Mira hopes that he will call off the wedding. Nicholas really does not want to marry, after all, why would she want to marry a man …
