Readers are saying, “Holy hotness!” … “the sexiest thing I have ever read” … “5 stars are not enough!”He’s a billionaire in need of an assistant. She’s a recent grad in need of a job.Even one she’s definitely not qualified for …My name is Sim. This book is about Alaric White—my best friend, college roommate, partner in literary crime. Alaric writes kissing books. And by “kissing,” I mean … well, … kissing books. And by “kissing,” I mean … well, you know what I mean.
He writes each book with a muse. (If the IRS asks, tell them she’s a “research assistant.”) Yeah, I’ve told him this reflects a certain lack of imagination on his part. But I help out with his books so far be it from me to complain too much.
Usually it doesn’t take him long to find a “research assistant” for a new book. Women send him their “resumes.” Call. Email. Turn up at every stop on his book tours. (I know, it’s a rough life but someone has to live it.)
But his current work-in-progress? Well, it’s different. So he needs a different muse. Someone innocent and untouched … but also brave enough to embark on a journey into her deepest, darkest desires.
After a year, he’s still searching. His agent is getting antsy. (Okay, she’s on the verge of full-blown panic that he won’t finish the book on time.)
Then he sees her, looking like an angel just arisen from a leisurely afternoon of amour. (His exact words.) She’s sitting in a suburban coffee shop … and being threatened by a goon with a pistol in his waistband.
(Dear reader, he rescues her.)
Then a plot twist not even I saw coming.
He should let her go. But he’s a selfish bastard. (I am too, but that’s a different story.) He just needs to keep her long enough to finish the book …
Once Upon a Time is a melt-your-clothes-off scorching hot standalone billionaire boss romance with a sweet happy ever after. (If I might say so myself.) Find out why readers are saying, “Holy hotness!” … “the sexiest thing I have ever read” … “5 stars are not enough!” (Well, I’m one of the reasons why they say that. Modest, too lol.) Of course, everyone wants my story now, too. We’ll see. My story makes Alaric’s look like a damn fairy tale. A twisted sort of fairy tale, but … well, just read this one first. It’s 99 cents! (Trust me, it’s worth it.)

So this one is an unusual book. Alaric famous billionaire /writer finds, at last, his muse for his latest book in Cat. But will Cat accept his job offer? Because Alaric wants to see al the thing which he writes so that means Cat will have to have some really steamy scenes with another man in front of him because Alarc is an erotic writer. He is thrilled that she said yes but on another hand doesn’t want her to share. And let’s not forget the last request from his dying father. Very hot and steamy book with a unique story. This is also the first time that I read a book in a book. I like how all develop in the end and I am waiting to see the next one.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley
This book is a billionaire romance novel with Alaric, a writer in need of a muse for his next romance novel, and Caterina, a librarian without a job who needs money, and Sim, Alaric’s best friend who acts out his book scenes for him. Alaric finds Caterina in a coffee shop and hires her as his assistant. As Sim acts out the steamy scenes of the novel with Caterina, Alaric becomes more possessive of her while she is wishing it was Alaric instead of Sim. I recommend this well written book with its great characters, an unusual plot, and hot sizzling chemistry and romance.

This review is actually three and a half stars. The title of the book is a bit misleading, I would have gone with something like the His Muse. There is no office per se, unless you think of the bedroom as an office. It is well written, thou.
Since Caterine graduated with her masters in Library Research, she hasn’t been able to find a job. After she drove to Virginia for an interview, Caterine heads on over to a coffee shop where there is a book signing by a romance writer that her roommate Zoe is crazy about and wants his latest book signed.
Alaric has been looking for his next muse, someone to give him the inspirations he needs to write his next book. At a book signing, he spots a beautiful blond goddess and instantly he knows that is his Erica. The fact that she doesn’t even know who he is, makes it even better. She’s never read any of his books. On a hunch, the morning after, he runs into her and offers her a job as his assistant. Explains what the job entails, and hopefully, she won’t run for the hills. Yes his assistants perform sex with his friend Sims, as Alaric watches and writes about it. A bit unconventional.
Caterine is enjoying her new job, however, she wishes that the sex scenes were with Aleric and not his friend Sims. Aleric is becoming more possessive with Caterine and decides he doesn’t want Sims in the picture with her. The fact that Alaric is developing feelings for Caterine, doesn’t sit well with him.
This was not your usual romance novel, so if you’re looking for something different and erotic, then this is the book for you.
I received a copy of this arc in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoyed reading this book from beginning to end. It was a great having characters that are well developed and engaging and have plenty of chemistry. The flow of the storyline was steady and smooth.

Surprising and twisted romance at the start.
It is a great story, very well written, at the beginning rather strange and twisted of a famous erotic romance writer who needs a different muse to each book to enact and visualize his text when he wrote it, sharing her with his former college roommate. But when he meets Caterine who perfectly embodies his character, Alaric, is not so sure to want to share her or that someone look at her, as she embodies perfectly his character to whom he is very attached.
The story combines both romance, the mix between fiction created and the real life of the characters, a dilemma related to the past of the dying father of Alaric, and a torrid story between very good characters.
