Multiple writers presenting twists to known fairy tales, very author dependent on level of interest.
Didn’t catch my attention – but it might yours
interesting twists on old fairy tales
Some of the stories were wonderful and some not so much. But overall enjoyable and very different.
This bills itself as romantic takes on traditional fairy tales. In fact, the romance is rather twisted, like the takes on the fairy tales themselves. While every anthology has a few great stores and a few misses, there are a lot more misses than great stories in this one. If you are looking for updated, clever takes on fairy tales that also have some romance, this collection is not for you. The stories range from paranormal werewoves (one of the better ones) to LGTB love (not one of the better ones).
Uneven – some stories are written well and fun, some are not. You will enjoy some but want to skip others.
Short stories are just perfect to read before bed. They dont leave you hanging. These have some delightful twists.
Couldn’t really get into it. Very slow.
Thanks for proofreading; I cannot recall a single error I encountered. Women’s roles have gotten stronger in some of these tales. I applaud when women are more accurately portrayed in fiction.
Mostly good short stories. A few I didn’t like and skimmed. A few that I loved!
Enjoyed most of the updated fairy tales.
Most of the stories were really well written and an enjoyable turn on the old classics.
I found the alternate universe of fairy tales to be great fun. it ended all too soon
I loved most of the stories. I skipped Princess Charming (not my cup of tea) and didn’t care for the one about the guy who got his manhood cursed (not a fan of steamy or overly descriptive scenes, even if it’s just describing a character’s thoughts)
Fairy tales with a definite twist
Original, romantic retellings of fairy tales . . .
Some of the stories were definitely better than others and do shine above the rest but it was a fun book over all
I LOVE THE TWIST OF THE FAIRY TALES…. BRINGS NEW LIFE AND IMAGINATION TO THE STORIES THAT I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED… VERY WELL WRITTEN …
Read first story, was not interested in continuing.
It was ok. Not great. Not even having much luck finishing it.
