A second chance romance with a few twists… I enjoyed this fairly quick read that had a few surprises. Lillian is apparently now a stunning beauty, still trying to find inspiration for her job. Sebastian likes to take control in the bedroom but he is not totally selfish, he ensures his partner gets as much enjoyment as he. Bella had been at his beck & call purely just for quick sex & no socialising then after a scare with a guy she previously dated she finds herself staying with Sebastian’s gay step-sister & they then become an item. I don’t think it’s essential to read the first 2 books in this series although they were great stories & the main characters in this 3rd book would be identifiable & I liked the fact that I felt I knew them. I received an ARC & this is my honest & voluntary review.
I recommend reading the first two books before you read this one so you know the characters pasts and their history together. Main characters are reunited after some time. They had a previous relationship. They are more mature now. Crazy plot twists in this book. Lots of drama also. Loved this second chance romance story.

This third book in the series was pretty good. Relatively short and sweet. It didn’t feel like it was as great as the last two had been but certainly carried on the story with all the drama and tension needed to make it progressive. Looking forward to the next book by this Author. Can’t wait!
This was an ARC copy and this is my honest review.
This is the story of Lily and Sebastian. It is a 2nd chance story and the 3rd book in the series. You will have to read all 3 books to get the full experience. Interesting storyline. Overall a good read though there were some parts that bothered me and I thought needed a little more work.

This book had some wonderful and warm characters. There were some twists and turns that kept the interest and made it entertaining. Only Sebastian seemed to how he felt, the gals all seemed to be unsure. The story had a nice ending for everyone. It was an enjoyable story.
Lillian is getting to be friends with Sebastian again as they try to work on what they use to have. But he wants more but has Bella on the side when he needs her. Bit Lillian wants to get back to her photography and had to get her old self back and does. But who will make Lillian happy now, Sebastian or Ash? Or will she find someone new?

I did enjoy this story. It is the conclusion of Hard Rock Love Series. I have read all three and I believe it would be best to read all three to get the full story of Lilly, Ash and Sebastian.
In the first book, Lilly and Sebastian were teenage sweethearts, but they were separated when his family moved away and they lost contact. Lilly met Rebecca in college and they remained friends and roommates throughout college. Once they graduated, they remained roommates. Lilly works for a magazine as a photojournalist, and one of her first jobs is to take pictures of a up and coming rock band. She hits it off with Ash as she is taking pictures of the band, on and offstage, and the pictures are a huge success. Meanwhile at home, Rebecca’s step-brother, Sebastian, finally shows up to check on his sister and her roommate only to find out that it is his old sweetheart. He asks Lilly out on a date and she accepts. It ends up like ‘Pretty Woman’. He sends her a complete outfit to wear, takes her to fancy restaurants and seems to be very uppity and controlling. Between Sebastian with his money and controlling ways, Lilly doesn’t want to have anything to do with him. It was like she wasn’t good enough to be seen with him without him choosing everything she should wear. She decides she wants to date and stick with Ash who she enjoys doing things with, hanging out and such.
In the second book, Ash is going on tour and Lilly is staying behind. She is worried but they both are focused on their careers, he isn’t interested in the ‘sex, drugs and rock and roll’ any more. Been there, done that, burned the t-shirt. But while he is on tour, at an after concert party, he drinks too much and a girl sits on his lap and starts kissing him. Of course pictures get out of that, and Lilly can’t deal with it. She is heart broken and has Rebecca to help her get over her heartbreak. Sebastian pops up and asks to be forgiven and asks if maybe they can try to be friends again. All three of them stay home watching tv and movies and things start to get to be okay between Lilly and Sebastian, but they are just friends. He starts to date another girl, who can give him what he needs, but can’t get from Lilly.
In this book, Lilly and Sebastian are friends, but Sebastian knows that he is still in love with Lilly, but that can’t happen. He doesn’t want to try anything and lose her friendship for good. He is still seeing Bella, but he has told Bella that things can’t progress beyond hooking up because he is hung up on someone else. He can hang out with Lilly, but sees Bella whenever he needs it. Lilly has been having problems getting her mogo for pictures until she realizes that she wants to capture behind the scenes, people being natural, when she gets her passion back for pictures. She makes acquaintances with a girl who does costume work for theater and they all become tied up with relationships. It does end up with everyone being happy with the right people.
I just know that in the first book, I really didn’t like Sebastian at all. I was hoping that Ash was the one she would end up with, but in the second book, Sebastian became more down to earth.

He and Lillian grew up knowing each other and he is hoping that she will give him a second chance. Bella is a seamstress that works for a ballet company, she has been seeing Sebastian but not serious about him. This book is one that you will not be able to put it down. I really enjoyed reading this book.

Wow. There were some twists and turns that I was not expecting. Bella ran into some trouble. Lillian and Sebastian solve some of their issues. Rebecca finds someone for herself. The characters have great chemistry together and it shows in the writing. It is a good read. The author did a great job on the book.

This is a well written second chance romance between Lillian and Sebastian. The author does a great job building the story and filling it with tons of emotions and a whole lot of love. The characters are strong and realistic, the story moves quickly and smoothly and I enjoyed reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
My first book from Allie and not one moment of disappointment.
It’s a sweet and savory 2nd chance story that Sebastian and Lillian take you on. Be prepared to deal with an ABC of feelings and emotions.
Loved the plot and all the characters we get to meet on this journey. I received an arc for an honest and voluntary review.
Once More by Allie Hayden is the story of Sebastian and Lillian. Lillian is an up-and-coming photographer and her newest assignment is the New York Ballet Company. Sebastian is Lillian’s ex from awhile back, but she squelched that relationship and now they’re working on being friends again.
This story is a little confusing at first and a bit convoluted. It took me awhile to get it all together. But, it is a story of love, loss, hurt, pain, renewal, hope, and fear….all rolled into one big mess of a situation for all of the characters!!
The last? In a series of Second Chance Rockstar Romances, this one is a wicked, sweet ride with a number of characters that you can’t help but identify with.

I have felt that this trilogy needs to be one book with some major plot improvements since book 1. This book brings a bit of redemption but here are the things that I think need work.
1. This is toted as a love triangle – there are multiple over lapping relationship attempts but nothing that ever really feels like ANY one is struggling to make a decision in the moment.
2. There is some play with Ds relationships but when it came down to it the author chose to delve into the “why” by saying they had a conversation and now the heroine had more insight – never really shared with the reader any of that backstory and it was a missed opportunity to turn any one of these portions into a real length book.
3. There was some attempt at drama in this book with a stalker ex- for a secondary character that I had no reason to worry about. It was “resolved” by the Hero having a 5 paragraph conversation with an employer and all of a sudden the problem was moving to London.
4. The sad attempt to weave in a sequel with a write in of a lesbian relationship in the last chapter was lack luster and wouldn’t make me want to pick up another attempt at this…
Even if all three were printed into one “boxed set” they don’t flow well enough to make one story together and no one part has a full story arc and they just don’t stand on their own feet in any way. This story has potential. I wish the best for the author. If looking at scenes on a myopic level there is great descriptions of particular moments. I feel like I could really like this writers style if a study of plot and story arc were done.
This intriguing story is about second chances that has to be earned. There are so many layers and paths to this story you will find yourself saying hmm! Sebastian and Lillian have known each other since they were teenagers and the departure from each others lives left its mark on Sebastian. Now he is caught between two women one he uses for sexual release and the other who is his true love. How will he choose and what of the controlling Lucas who wants back what he lost?

Lillian always wanted to be a photojournalist. But now that her fling with lead singer Ash Bennett was ended, she had no idea what to photograph that would be nearly as evocative as those photos were! Her editor at Illusions had not been impressed with her last two photo stories. Apparently a new dog park wasn’t that compelling. Waiting outside for her ride to take her home that night, she saw a small theatre nearby, host to amateur ballet recitals. She watched several of the girls leaping and twirling on the sidewalk as they joyfully headed to the theatre, looking like fawns cavorting in the forest. This could be good! She could do a photo story on this – performance and passion, and these quiet moments when the audience was not watching them, when they were not trying to entertain, just allowing their talent to express itself!
Bella sat with fabrics and her sketchpad, working on designs for the costumes of the dancers. Her dream was to become a designer, to have her own designs come to life and not just a seamstress applying embellishments. But when Sebastian texted her to come over for an evening together, she dropped everything and headed over. The next day was a busy one and she had to decline Sebastian’s text. To her surprise, Lucas spoke to her, just back from England. She knew this day would come, but still wasn’t ready for it. She was too busy to chat and he was called to the stage – he was one of the company’s top premiere male dancers – so she got a reprieve. As her night ended at 2:00 a.m., she literally bumped into Lucas again. He kept blocking her way as he asked her to go for coffee. But she told him she didn’t want to start up again and had no time for him. He had a surprised look on his face as he stood there watching her walk away.
Lillian sat down with her editor and was handed a ticket to the ballet that evening to begin her story on the performers. Lillian’s roommate, Rebecca, and her brother, Sebastian would get VIP tickets so that they also could attend and show support for Lillian. Bella saw the beautiful photographer enter their work room and move gracefully through the fast-moving workers. Bella and Sebastian were more ‘friends with benefits’, not having a serious relationship because Sebastian had told her he loved another. She had just looked into the eyes of that other woman without knowing it. Lucas had also been there, trying to make Bella jealous and, when he saw her stare at the beautiful photographer, he walked up to flirt with the stranger. To Bella’s delight, Lillian brushed him off without a second glance. She loved this environment, though, where everyone radiated an excited, manic energy, graceful yet uninhibited!
After the show they were all exhausted, but the dancers absolutely glowed with pride, joy, laughter. To Lillian, it all spoke of perseverance of the human spirit, constantly defying all expectations of their limits, continuously going when it should be impossible to do so. She wanted to tell of the amazing spirit of the human race. She was taking pictures that were too powerful to be expressed in words. She met up with Sebastian and Rebecca, laughing and talking about the wonderful evening. And while they did so, Bella came down the stairs and took one look at Sebastian – and she knew by the look on his face who the woman was that he pined away for. With all of these lives interconnecting, what would happen now? Would this explosive mix affect each one of them? How would it all sort out?
I really enjoyed this book. It gave the reader a good look at life backstage at the ballet, a chance to see the creative people, the dancers, the workers who helped pull it all together and keep the performance flawless. And there is no denying the excitement of meeting the characters and getting to know them, especially when the reader sees how each relates to the other – while they are unaware of what the others are experiencing. The story line was good, perfectly paced, and had a small bit of tension as the reader’s mind races to figure what will happen next. Grab your copy and enjoy the ballet! There is far more going on than the Sleeping Beauty performance on the stage!
