DTF. Support your local girl gang! Me and my dirty, tough female besties were hell—and tacos on wheels.Who knew that my homemade Shizzle Sauce would be the key ingredient to my happily ever after? Destiny had a wicked sense of humor—that was for sure. After surviving a toxic relationship, I vowed to never let myself be controlled by a man again. With the help of my girl gang, I was rebuilding my … help of my girl gang, I was rebuilding my life—one taco at a time. My trusty snack wagon—The Pink Taco Truck—hadn’t steered me wrong yet.
This time, it led me straight to a hottie restaurant owner with a sexy Australian accent, who just so happened to love my secret sauce.
He made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. But that wasn’t the only thing I was unable to turn down.
Jay was everything I could ever want in a man, but he wasn’t without heartache of his own. In fact, he’d been around the world, and he had the baggage to prove it.
Good thing I was always up for an adventure!
On the Rox is book 1 in the DTF series. DTF is an interconnected series of stand-alone rom-coms.

Umm, nope. Just nope. This one started off OK but fizzled (or should I say shizzled) out at the halfway point. If I’m being honest, probably before halfway. Jay=pathetic puppy dog. Rox=more issues than National Geographic. I picked Nat Geo because it’s been around since 1888 so that’s a lot of issues. The book and characters had potential, it was just never developed. There were way too many steamy scenes and not enough character development. I don’t mind the steamy, I mind when it becomes the only thing that is happening.
Didn’t like her. They were all sex and no connection. Only for a bit did I connect with him. Glad it’s over now though.
D.T.F., very likely to be a nice series of books. Book 1 is promising. This Aussie is just one romantic… Swoon, I want my own cocktail now! Have some nachos at hand when you read the book.
Fast, entertaining read.
Loved the story so beautiful & heartfelt.
This was entertaining but a bit “flippant” for me….
A fun read, but cheesy.
I laughed out loud more than once and wanted the story to never end.
Couldn’t put it down !
Had some nice twists and different perspectives.
**AUDIO REVIEW**
This was a cute and funny easy listen. It was slow and steady and a relateable story. This was my first book from Kat Addams and I was pleasantly surprised. It was over the top ridiculous with lots of sexy accents and kick butt women.
Laurie West and Gregory Salinas were new to me narrators and did an amazing job voicing this book. They brought these characters to life with enthusiasm and spunk. It was a quick listen and story.
I look forward to reading more in the DTF series and more from Kat.
On the Rox is good read. This one had some funny moments, serious moments, and sweet romance all wrapped up into a nice story. Rox is a strong independent woman. I loved her. She has layers and pass issues. Jay is a sexy guy. He’s from Australia and has a sexy accent. Jay is drawn to Rox and the same for her. I liked these two together. Jay had his issues too. At one point I was surprised by somethings and was nervous that these two would not get a happy ever after. These one had me hooked and it’s one you should check out.
On the Rox
Series: DTF(Dirty Tough Females) #1
Written by Kat Addams
Narrated by Gregory Salinas and Laurie West
Jay and Rox are a perfect match. He the owner of restaurant and she the owner of a food truck, the two have much in common. He loves the DTF special sauce, bu this is not the deciding factor for Rox, When he speaks with that Australian accent, all hope is lost, her heart is melting. Jay is the man, always thoughtful and compassionate. Rox is a strong woman, with a quick wit and fun personality. These two seem to be off to their happily ever after. But love is never that easy. Each has relationship issues, neither likes to talk about it. Will they find their way through the dark? This is my first Kat Addams book, and I loved it! It’s so funny, I was smiling through the entire thing, but it also has some serious elements. Each one has a problem that needs to be addressed, and it’s so rewarding as we live through their journey. It’s a fun listen and I can’t wait to seem more of the DTF women!
Laurie West and Gregory Salinas are amazing! I can’t say enough good things about this narration. West is fantastic as Rox, exuding the attitude and snarkiness she has, but adds a little softness in too. She has an amazing Australian accent too! Salinas just melts my ears as Jay. Nailing that Aussie accent, he brings Jay to life with a chemistry that is hard to resist. These two are perfectly cast and gave me a day of total entertainment.

I’ve read books by this author before and I really like this authors style of writing and this book is just as great and I totally could not put this down until I had finished it. This is book one in this series. Dirty Tough Female Series. Book #1DTF.
This book is a real great girl power, woman coming together and sticking by each other and helping them come through some real tough times in there life and sticking together through thick and thin.
Rox has had things really tough and after she had just left a really toxic relationship she has vowed that she will never ever let herself be controlled or hurt by a man like that ever again. She has all her besties there to support her and help her anyway they can and watch her back.
Rox is rebuilding her life slowly and is not looking for anything just being with the women and working together in there pink Taco truck. The taco truck that is there pride and joy and they all have such a laugh and love there work.
Jay is a sexy Australian who is a really good guy and has traveled a lot in his life and he has also experienced his own heartache in his life.
Jay is a guy that Rox was not expecting but he wasn’t expecting her either.
( NO SPOILERS).
I absolutely loved reading this book. I really loved the circle of friends that were there for Rox supporting her and actually all there for on another that it made you wish you were part of the dtf. There banter was so funny and some moment were absolutely hilarious. This book will have you laughing out loud and really enjoying the book. It’s a real romantic comedy with a second chance on love for one special lady. If your looking for a book that will really make you laugh then this is definitely book for you.
I cant wait to read the next installment in this series by this author and I will be recommending this book when it gets released to everyone. I always love books that have epilogues to as I feel that they bring something extra special to the story and I always like books that are told from different points of view to.
Thank You to the author and the publishers for allowing me to read an early copy of this book.

A fabulous page turner. Jay and Rox take us on a journey of two people with rough relationship pasts that have made them who they are, and how they handle things in the present. Neither wanted a relationship, but as they grow closer they both began to realize that they may understand each other better than anyone else due to their past experiences. This story will pull at your heartstrings and also make you laugh out loud. On the Rox is a fun and entertaining romance.
This was a quick read. Some of it was cute but some of what was probably wittiness was not my cup of tea.
Kat Adams has done it again bringing and amazing and oh so funny story that I didn’t want to put down.
This book is a great start to the DTF series and we get to meet some amazing, tough and strong women who are best friends and are running a taco truck business that I honestly wish we have in real life.
This book revolves around Rox and Jay that are Businesses partners and neighbors. They both have scars from the past but they connect with each in a way that fits so well even though they are complete opposite of each other.
Their interactions are very entertaining with the right amount of drama, sexiness and sweetness.
I can’t wait for what’s to come in the series.
This story is a unique and refreshing story about a group of broken ladies who are trying hard to overcome their pasts. Jay is a sexy restaurant owner who love Roxs secret sauce. This is a beautifully written story which is emotional, humorous, and is a sweet and entertaining read which had me totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner. I highly recommend this talented authors’ work for all readers.

Unfortunately, I did not care for “On the Rox” by Kat Addams and ended up abandoning it shortly after the halfway point. There were a lot of scenes and dialogue that I could tell were intended to be funny, but I wasn’t laughing. It wasn’t at all the type of humor that appeals to me. There were way too many crude, immature sexual references, and I lost count of how many times the male lead, Jay’s, “endowment” was described along with his propensity for premature “arrival” in his pants. That isn’t something I find attractive in a potential romantic partner, and I certainly don’t want to read about it. However, I guess he’s well-matched with the female lead, Rox, since she peed her pants at least once (and gleefully told her best friend about it the next day). Perhaps one day soon Rox and Jay can add matching underwear to their wedding registry since it seems as if they’ll both be needing some new ones!
I didn’t find Jay or Rox to be particularly likeable, and there was zero relationship development between them. Jay just seemed kind of weak and boring, although I think the author’s intent was for him to come across as a super sensitive “nice guy” and the complete opposite of Rox’s abusive ex, Tommy. By contrast, Rox was supposed to be very wild and tough, having sworn off relationships after her breakup and only pursuing hookups with random guys. She seemed to get over her relationship issues pretty quickly after meeting Jay, however, because after they hooked up for the first time, they were rarely apart.
I was not a fan of the author’s writing style, either. The dialogue in particular seemed oddly stilted to me because contractions were used only half the time (or less). At times I felt like I was listening to people who were trying really hard to speak properly and enunciate because they were drunk, or something.
Bottom line, I did not enjoy and cannot recommend this book, but it may appeal to readers who are fans of the insta-lust/love trope and/or gross-out humor. I do not plan to continue with the series or try anything else by this author.

Quick read about Jay and Rox. Both have had some past relationship issues that have shaped who they are now. They were both a little cautious around each other. Loved them together. Their chemistry and attraction was so good. You could feel it coming off the pages. This story had me laughing and smiling the whole time I was reading it. I can’t wait to read more of the DTF girls. I love how these girls stick together and protect each other. I highly recommend this sweet yet steamy story that will offer the perfect escape from your day.
I read an early review copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
