BraunwynLosing the love of my life almost destroyed me.Years of being labeled and looked upon with disdain by everyone in my hometown almost wrecked me.Four years ago, I became a mother and together we were enough…until I met him. He wanted to rebuild my heart —I just didn’t know how to let him. This is the story of how one man’s love changed everything I thought I knew about life, love, and … about life, love, and myself.
Can Levi Eddison prove to be my restoration?
Levi
Everything in my world changed the day Braunwyn Daniels walked into my pub. She was a woman of many contradictions. I recognized both happiness and sorrow trying to fight their way to the surface.
Behind her chestnut brown hair, long legs, and beautiful eyes was a damaged soul. I needed to change that —I just didn’t know how.
In the end, it turned out I knew nothing about true happiness until Braunwyn Daniels let me love her.
This is the story of how I vowed to make a broken girl whole again.
**SPECIAL NOTE **

I was quite impressed with this book. I loved the storyline. The characters were wonderful. Levi is a great male lead and Braunwyn’s character just shined. The secondary characters helped make this a wonderful book. There is not much couple angst (which pleases me). We just get a great story of two people falling for each other. Add in a little girl and you have a hit. There is also a serious issue that is discussed and is a central theme in the book. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger.
What can I say, the emotions that Gillian evokes with this book are extraordinary! Braun is one strong lady… after being left pregnant and alone when her childhood sweetheart and father of her daughter commits suicide; she is taken in by her grams and rebuilds her life as a single mother. Levi the cocky, gorgeous ladies man who has time for only one mistress and love in his life… His bar Pub Fiction! That is until Braun stumbles into his bar as an inexperienced server girl… the sparks fly and the two become close friends until they give in and call ‘Trump’ on their friendship and a hot and steamy relationship begins! This book was so beautifully written and touches on some hard topics but in a sensitive and caring way. This book touched me and will stay with me for a long time to come!
Rocked My World.
This book was an amazing read, I’m a mess but it was so worth it.
Even though it’s based on the loss of a loved one through tragic circumstances it wasn’t all doom and gloom, far from it.
I may have cried but I laughed my Ass off too. I love this Authors sense of humour, it balanced out the story perfectly.
Gillian has a knack for dealing with important issues in her writing, she gets her message across but takes you on a heart warming journey whilst doing so.
Levi is one of the lads, not one for settling down he likes playing the field. He runs his own Bar Pub Fiction which takes up most of his time so he doesn’t want a serious relationship.
Braunwyn needs a job she has zero experience but with her situation she’s desperate so she applies at Pub Fiction.
This is a story of a broken girl who needs to move forward with her life and the boy who doesn’t know what he’s missing out on until she walks into his world.
I loved this story so much. All the feels and more. A beautiful love story that will melt your heart.
I absolutely love this series. I’m kicking myself for not reading these fantastic books sooner. Onto book 3
Here is your survival kit for reading this book – 1) Wine. I prefer white wines but any type will do. 2) Chocolate. Because I was not given this incredibly generous tip (you’re welcome) I had to settle for my daughter’s left over Easter candy. Yes 25 day old candy that wasn’t good enough to be eaten almost a month ago. Score. 3) Make up remover. Why, you ask? Because I looked like a psycho after reading certain chapters with my mascara running down my face. Lastly, 4) Gilly’s Gems Facebook group. Trust me, you’ll need a support group to talk to after finishing. Got all of that? Great. Let’s begin.
Story Line: I’m fairly certain Gillian started out writing this book thinking to herself “Hmm, how can I virtually sucker punch someone in this first chapter?” Okay, not really. But in all seriousness, the wind was knocked out of me and my eyes were leaking before Braunwyn’s story even really begins. Gillian took an insanely difficult subject and gently forced us to read about it. Because let’s be honest, when it comes to hard topics and things that make our hearts hurt, we tend to look the other way or avoid them all together. But heart ache happens every day. And it’s important to know, much like Braun and her daughter, life goes on and it is possible to find happiness. Even after a hurricane.
Braunwynn takes a job at our beloved Pub Fiction. She meets the owner – Levi – at her interview where they both feel the zing of attraction. But she’s scared and has a preschool aged daughter to think of. So they talk about it – he wants to take things slow, she wants to be friends. So they decide to be friends, because the woman always wins But as they spend more time together it becomes clear that this friend zone isn’t going to last. Oh, and another disclaimer (you’re welcome, again) grab a giant box of tissues once you get to Chapter 33. Here come the water works. I think I cried so hard because, yes the material was sad, but it was also gut wrenchingly beautiful which just made the tears fall faster. Braun and Levi have what fairy tales are made of. And their story and their journey to forever is rocky and at times made my heart hurt, but if this wasn’t a Cinderella story, I don’t know what is.
Interaction: There are two sides to Levi. Side one is the friend zone side. He’s the sweetest man on the planet. He’s perfect with Emmerson (Braun’s daughter). They watch Scooby Do together and he calls her Scooby which is so freaking cute I think my ovaries melted a little. But then there’s the other side to Levi. The side that rears it’s head (bun intended :)) when he and Braun finally pull the “Trump card”. He’s the king of naughty talk. And Braunwynn (and every single reader out there) eats it up and begs for more. How this man can go from sweet, sensitive and endearing to caveman, dirty talking sex god, is beyond me. But I wouldn’t change a single thing about him. Not. One. Thing.
Laundry: Levi needs to be my husband’s spirit animal. Seriously. The words that come out of his mouth in the heat of the moment, are enough to make my bra pop open all by itself. Prepare yourself. Levi is about to make your top 5 book boyfriend list. However, I will fight you for him and I can be pretty Scrappy. HA! I am on fire with these puns!
Depth: Like pretty much all of Gillian Jones’ books, there is a very deep emotional topic that brings this story to life. Yes, I said it’s a Cinderella story and I stand by that statement. But it’s also very real. The emotions Braunwynn feels are brought to the surface and jump off the page into your heart. I found myself thinking many, many times “I don’t know what I would do if I were in her shoes”. There’s rip your heart out pain but page by page, that pain is eased. And by the end of this story, our leading lady is whole again – and so are you.
Gillian Jones is the master of writing love stories that are so realistic and so heartfelt, you feel like you’re a member of that community. Walking into my job in the healthcare industry, I realized my fictitious job at Pub Fiction is way cooler than my real life one. Maybe I’ll just live there in my head for the next 8 hours to make the time go by faster
Wow this book left me speechless. Braunwyn was 18 and pregnant when her boyfriend died. She is completely heartbroken with this and can’t seem to get it out of her head that if it wasn’t for her grandma I don’t know what she would of done. Her daughter is starting a school and she is finishing her education but needs some people skills as she has erected a wall and only few are aloud in. The job she has applied for she is hoping it will give her what she needs and that is to talk to people. Levi is the owner of the bar and this is his baby, but the first time he eyes land on Braunwyn he feels this unbelievable pull for her that it shocks him. As he starts helping Brauwn with little things, even with her fighting him all the way, he finds out that he wants to get to know her better. Will she give Levi a chance? You will have to read it to find out. This is a must read, have kleenex handy.
