I liked this story. It was entertaining. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part.
Cassidy is taking a vacation to decide what she wants to do. She needs to decide where she wants her music to go and only has a few weeks to figure it out. Cassidy ends up in a small town in Tennessee, looking for answers and to write some new music. She isn’t prepared to find love with the bartender where she sang karaoke.
Finn owns a bar and works as a bartender. He grew up around the music industry but never got into it himself. When Finn sees Cassidy for the first time, he is sure that he needs to get to know her better. After hearing her sing, he’s drawn to her even more.
Their love starts to grow as Finn and Cassidy get to know each other and begin to make music together. I loved them singing together. Cassidy’s reaction/assistance with Finn’s mom was awesome. I loved their happy ever after. I recommend reading this book.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Pure instalove! Cass and Finn are destined to be together. He is her muse and she is his lifeline. I loved all everyone connected, and this came full circle for them through Finn’s mother. On the Rocks is perfect for bedtime reading or an afternoon on the beach.
A very sweet read. Only thing missing is how she handled her mom and manager.
The instant I saw the book cover and title I was completely intrigued. I love rock romances and the blurb tells us that this is not just about one character with a music background, but both leading characters had the magic. Even though it seems to be a glamorous job, Cass just was not having it anymore and took time away to find herself again. Then she runs into Finn. Sparks fly and you think this is it! The magic is waiting.
Overall – this is a great short read if you want to get right into the story and just move fast forward. Some readers love that and then you have your HEA. Only downfall for me, and its only because a personal preference, it was built up and then resolved in a blink of an eye. I just needed a little bit more. There was nothing bad about the story, just not my cup of tea.
This is a sweet, instant attraction story between Cassie, who’s always taken care of everyone else but herself and finally walks away from the big music industry in order to find her love for the music again, and Finn, who’s the only child of a successful country singer and after watching the effects on his mother vowed to never be involved in the music business and just run his bar. This one just gives you all the feels waiting to see if there’s more there than just an instant chemistry.
A sweet romance story that doesn’t disappoint. I loved Finn and Cassie, they were cute and so in tune with each other that you can’t help but fall in love with them. Their chemistry was instant and steamy and their journey was written in the stars. An enjoyable read that will have you falling in love with romance again.
