I once lived in two different worlds — billionaire businessman by day, fighter by night. It’s been five years since I last stepped into the Octagon, since my life spun out of control. I haven’t even so much as gone near a fighting ring. I promised my family I’d never raise my fists again. But when my best mate, Les, lands himself in trouble with a notorious Dublin crime lord, I must break my … lord, I must break my promises. I have to do the one thing I vowed never to do: fight. I have to fight to save him and everyone in his life . . . including Anna Drake, the innocent and gorgeous woman Les tricked into rooming with him.
Anna Drake is off-limits. She’s innocent and sweet — everything that I’m not. She’s also interning at my company — a lawsuit waiting to happen.
I have to save her, to pull her and Les out of the mess that he’s made. But the more time we spend together, the more I’m falling for her. And the more I fight, the more I crave it. I don’t deserve Anna . . . and yet, without her, I’m not sure if I can save myself.

Just right romance with a touch suspense.
Brittney is a new author to me and I really enjoyed the story. Adam and Anna had amazing chemistry from the start and have a lot in common with both trying to escaped their pasts. I loved how Adam protected Anna even though he’s always pushing her away. This story was suspenseful and emotional, it was hard to put down because I wanted to know what happened. Will Watt and Kelsey Navarro brought Adam and Anna to life with their narration. I would definitely recommend this book and can’t wait to listen to the rest of the series.
Loved it.
An emotional tale of two wounded people
Anna, a marketing and finance graduate, is surprised when Adam, a billionaire CEO, shows up in the flat she is staying at in Dublin during her internship. As the story progresses her surprise continues into the first day of work, escaping the events from her past is not as easy as she thinks, and finding out the truth may take more courage than she feels she has. Brittney Sahin’s On the Edge is an emotional tale of two wounded people finding themselves through the love of each other. I wonder what is planned for this great cast of characters in the future.
Couldn’t put this book down! Enjoyed the characters and the world they were in.
My first read from this author, but not the last. Very well done!
Adam McGregor is rich, successful and driven. Driven by a dark side and his demons. But he’s also a compassionate, caring and loyal man. Anna Drake had to cross an ocean to outrun her demons. Landing an intern spot at McGregor Enterprises was an answer to a prayer but it also gives her the chance to spread her wings. These two are immediately drawn to one another and start to build a relationship despite the fact that it’s wrong on many levels. They reveal their shocking secrets to one another. Fighting is his downfall and she will be his collateral damage unless she can convince him to fight for their love instead.
I really enjoyed this book!!
Anna goes to Ireland for an internship. She goes to get away from an abusive relationship in the USA. She meets Adam a billionaire alpha with a heart. He grabs your attention from the beginning! Their feelings for each other grow as the story is told. It is a slow burn in my opinion. Their chemistry is HOT!
Adam has to go back to fighting in order to save Anna. Anna is afraid of any guy that shows his aggression through fighting. She gave that up when she left the USA. I don’t want to give too much away, it is a great story.
I couldn’t put this book down! Brittney sure knows how to keep your interest! The characters are well written. I can’t wait for her next book!
On the Edge is a masterpiece of romance and suspense woven together in intricate detail by Brittney Sahin. This book is definitely in my top ten reads for the year! There is so much emotion! I felt every one of my heartstrings tugged and came back for more!
You are immediately drawn into the story with wonder about Anna’s past and who Adam really is. There is a wide range of emotions and even secondary characters play an integral role in the story that defines Anna & Adam’s relationship. I really enjoyed the vivid details of Dublin, Ireland. It made me feel as if I was there, right along with Anna, exploring the city for the first time.
They say the highway to hell is paved with good intentions, but could it be possible for an angel to stand by the side of the road as an intervention? That’s the great debate within Adam’s mind as he begins to fall for Anna, knowing he’s no good for her and she’s everything good in the world. Adam lives two lives, one as the devil dressed in designer suits with secrets and the other as the caring angel of a man that he becomes when he’s around Anna. Adam desperately wants to break free of his past, but at what cost? Will it shatter the fragile bonds that have grown between the couple? Or will they be strengthened in spite of the danger? Will Anna let her past define her future with Adam or can she see beyond the surface of the tortured man?

Would I read more from this author? Yes, absolutely!
This was a first for me by this author. This story was beautifully written. Adam is a true alpha male with a kind heart that pulls Anna in from their first meeting. Their chemistry is off the charts. Who wouldn’t be attracted to a sexy but dangerous looking bad boy? Adam is a Billionaire by day cage fighter by night. Anna is a ordinary country girl from Kentucky. Will his past keep them apart or will he fight for her in the end? A definite must read. Can’t wait to read more from this author.
ON THE EDGE was a Featured Book in the Sizzling HOT Romance Book Club on Facebook, and it was definitely a great pick! I sat down to read a couple of chapters and ended up reading the entire book. It’s that good.
Adam and Anna are great together. A hot Irish billionaire bad boy? What’s not to love? Anna is the perfect good-girl compliment to him, and they’re both damaged just enough to make you genuinely want good things for them.
ON THE EDGE has the right amount of heat, plus an element of danger that brings the story to the next level. I loved this book and can’t recommend it highly enough. 5 easy stars!!
*Review with previous title*
“And, by the way, I’m no one special. Don’t go pinning your hopes on me, Anna. I’m not the saint you’re painting me out to be.”
Not even close.
Adam left his old life behind five years ago, accepting that the office life and suits are what he’s got to do to have his family. When he’s pulled back into the world of underground fighting he doesn’t expect to stick around, just to get his friend out and go, but that’s until he meets Anna Drake, the innocent intern he wants to protect and show the best side of himself to. He knows he’s no good for her, especially after he finds a rush back inside the ring, but she won’t leave his mind. He knows he’s doing the right thing by protecting her, but the more time they spend together the more the secrets begin to pile up and their romance may just go up in smoke if he gives in to the call of violence.
“I’m trying to look after her, Adam,” he called after me, and that stopped me in my tracks. “Especially if you’re fighting again. If you’re going down, don’t bring her down with ya.”
I love a good book with a male character that’s a fighter, I have since high school, so it was of no surprise how much I liked Adam MacGregor. He’s got all the qualities you want in a fighter; passion, drive, and Irish good looks to go with it all. More than that though, he’s got all the qualities of a perfect book boyfriend, with his success, looks, and desperate need to care for the woman he’s fallen head over heels for. I loved that he was this wealthy, intimidating man that was won over by a charming young American, that she changed his entire outlook. Anna Drake is all of us at 24, by far the most relatable character Brittney has ever written, and I’m a big fan of all her characters. She’s a young woman in a big world, fighting her past, learning herself, and discovering true romance and love doesn’t always follow the fairy tale stories. Both characters have pasts to deal with and as they face them together the character growth is astounding, as is the steamy chemistry they share.
Right now, all I wanted were those arms, his strong and safe arms, wrapped around me. I needed something to calm the swell of fear that was brewing inside me.
Some of the story line is cliche, some of the moments are over-the-top, but I read books to live a different life and let me tell you, I totally have a fantasy of being Anna now. Adam and Anna find in one another a dream of a future, something both had brushed off after their pasts had taken their confidence and unmarred view of life away. Their pasts had left them with scars that others couldn’t see, but Brittney portrayed perfectly with her emotional writing. I loved that in discovering one another they also discovered their desire to overcome the past. From the business world to the underground fighting world, Anna and Adam find hope in one another. It’s a story you won’t be able to put down, come to life through Brittney Sahin’s descriptive writing, even down to the Irish brogue that Adam boasts that you’ll be able to hear in your head as you read.
He was dangerous because he could turn my heart to dust.
I say it every time, but Brittney has outdone herself with Forever Dublin. The Forever series is not to be missed, but especially not this one. The writing is outstanding, the story line intriguing, and the characters the kind you connect with and fall for. Once I started reading, I could not stop.
I was just looking around on facebook and saw a giveaway that Brittney had going on on her page for her new book.
So I went to look at her other books on Amazon and stumbled upon this.
A CEO by day, fighter by night… that had me sold.
Then I found out it was set in Dublin and Adam was Irish.. Hell I fell in love straight away lol.
Adam… *SIGHS* That man is just so damn feking beautiful. I really did swoon my ass off at reading this book and his parts
Anna… I loved her character. A little scared at the beginning but as the book went on she grew so much
I loved everything about this book. From start to finish it was just amazing.
The epilogue made me smile and my heart was so happy xx
Omg. This was so good. I am buying this book. Adam is so my new book boyfriend. And being from Kentucky, this book was a must read for me.
Loved loved loved Adam and Anna. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for another one of them together. I loved the story line, heart, and message of this book! Hot, hot, hot!
