Step into a whole new world in the first Novel of the Edge from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Kate Daniels series. The Edge lies between worlds, on the border between the Broken, where people shop at Wal-Mart and magic is a fairy tale—and the Weird, where blueblood aristocrats rule, changelings roam, and the strength of your magic can change your destiny…Rose Drayton thought if … destiny…
Rose Drayton thought if she practiced her magic, she could build a better life for herself. But things didn’t turn out the way she’d planned, and now she works an off-the-books job in the Broken just to survive. Then Declan Camarine, a blueblood noble straight out of the deepest part of the Weird, comes into her life, determined to have Rose (and her power).

It was fun & entertaining.
My first book by this author.I will read more.
Excellent read!
A great beginning to a four book series. Also, there could be future books with
the three teenage character. That’s what I’m hoping.
Fun series.
Anything by I. Andrews is a worthwhile read. Not her best series, but still very good.
Easy read after you get past the first couple of chapters which set up the story but seem to drag.
Amazing story-line with a twist on realities. By the end I wanted more. I was not sure how to describe all that I seen unfold in my mind as the narrator told the story of Rose and Declan. I got sucked in and entranced by it all. I will go back to this story again.
Very different concept, I’m glad I tried this book, I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely purchase the next one.
I absolutely love Ilona Andrews books, this one did not disappoint.
Another excellent book from the writing team known as Ilona Andrews. I enjoyed the world that they created and I’m looking forward to the next book in the series. Keep in mind that this isn’t a true series – the next book features different characters within the same world…
I thought this book was original and a lot of fun to read
I look forward to every new book by this author!
Although I read a lot of dystopian/urban fantasy, I found On the Edge to be a fresh take on the genres. The authors have created an interesting twist on the urban fantasy genre. Likable, but complex characters held my interest, without going too graphic on the romance. Don’t get me wrong, Declan and Rose are hot, but in a classy way. So glad the plot takes precedence over the simmering passion. Will definitely read the rest of the series.
I am always awed and captivated when I pick up an Andrews book. On the Edge was a re-read for me and I relished this mind-blowing and shocking story all over again.
The beginning was a bit hard again to get into, but the Andrews team are detailed in exploring and explaining the world and different aspects of it. The characters where just as captivating as they where the first time I read this novel. I enjoyed the banter, challenges, and determination both have. The romance was a nice steady build.
I liked the threat to the Edge people and the introduction of William, who does get his own book. Ya! I also loved the children. They are adorable and unique.
Their is never a dull moment. Amazing characters and outstanding world building. I am always blown away and pulled into a unbelievable adventure. Each book feels like the first time reading it, even if I have already read it.
Rated: 4 Edge Stars
A promising start to this series. Looking forward to the rest! I really liked the hero here, lots of integrity. A little slower pace in places (which is not the usual for their books), but the baddies were REALLY scary. One thing about the monsters in their books, their descriptions are always so over the top and outrageously weird that I have a hard time even imagining them!
Of all the Ilona Andrews series, this is my favorite. I love the idea of two mirror-image worlds, one filled with technology and one with magic, and where they intersect lies The Edge, a sort of no man’s land. The residents may be able to slip into one world or the other, but rarely both. The miN characters are sympathy and often surprising. I hated to stop reading when it was time to go to sleep! Thank you, Ilona Andrews!
