When Michael Duncan is sent to investigate the disappearance of several dragon subjects, he finds himself in a bind. Locked in a dungeon, his only hope lies wrapped in a bundle of cloth tossed at his feet. One kiss and his life is changed forever. Hunted by his own people for crimes he didn’t commit, Michael has to learn a whole new life at the hands of a beautiful woman. Can she help him clear … clear his name, or will just being in her presence get him sentenced to death?
Carissa Markel doesn’t know who this man chained to the wall is, but he’s her only chance for escape. She has power, but, born without a voice, she lacks the means to wield it. One choice, made in desperation, sends them running for his life. Does she have the strength to help him clear his name? And what will her brother, the King of Dragons, do if he finds out what she’s done? That’s immaterial, the real question is… can she keep her hands off him long enough to find out?

I liked the book so much I had to buy the rest of the series. I am now on the 3rd book and still wanting to read more.
I loved this book. I can’t wait to read another. So many good elements and the world was awesome!

Didn’t put it down till I was done.
On my accidental reading of this book….
This book came up as a recommendation presumably based on my interest in fantasy/sci fi. It was short, free, and the ratings looked promising so I figured I’d give it a try. The plot was largely unoriginal, underdeveloped, and probably could have been told in about 10 pages. The main characters were little more than randy adults locked in a painfully adolescent mating ritual (I kept having to remind myself they were full grown adults and not 13-year-olds). Most of the book was focused on the protagonists difficulties in controlling their hormones while constantly admiring each others assets (seemingly every other sentence). Looking beyond the hormone fest, there might have been some interesting plot possibilities had they managed to rise above the waist.
If you enjoy soft (think teen level) “erotica” (no it really doesn’t actually go anywhere) this might be the book for you. If you’re looking for plot and substance and are annoyed by repetitive (ridiculously repetitive, did I mention they were repetitive?) descriptions of body bits and lust sequences, you’d do well to skip this book. I wish I had.
I enjoyed it very much – easy read and entertaining
I am not sure what this book is supposed to be. Maybe it is supposed to be fantasy or soft porn, but it really succeeds at neither.
Cute, quick read.
I liked the book, but I’m wondering wether the two main characters have a future??? It was well written and funny at times, all round enjoyable.
