I loved this book! It was gut-wrenching and emotional! I fell in love with both Wren and especially Ryker! Highly recommend this!
this was a book with a different twist on the Russian bratva and damaged military souls.
Ry and wren were suffering in their own but together they managed to save themselves and fulfil her brothers request to save his friends. Along the way a rescue mission turns in to chaos and when soon finds out how her brother dealt with the anxiety and panic that became their lives. As ry battled his past and present he found his future and would die before giving her up. A great read makes me want to read the previous books in the series to learn about the other characters in this story.
This story was so emotional…So heart broken…so beautifully written. I have no words but I loved it. To the story line to the I love the characters. It was one of those stories where you wanted everyone to have a happy ending. A must read. Well done Patricia. I absolutely love this story. A must read
4.5 stars
Good book!! Started off a little slow but didnt take long for things to pick up. Really enjoyed the intense connection between Wren and Ryker. I loved the suspense, it kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next
This is the third book in the Away from the Keyboard series, but you can read it as a standalone. I haven’t read the other books but was able to follow the story. There was a lot of information and characters to process at first.
I really enjoyed the story. Once I started reading i couldn’t put the book down. The characters are wonderful. Layered and complex. They have a lot of things happen to them in the past which influences them every day. They don´t give up, but keep going. seeing Wren and Ryder connect and help each other heal was wonderful to see.
It is a well written, action packed, but also very emotional and sexy read.
I loved this line” No, I feel so broken, But maybe we’re all broken. Maybe I didn’t understand until now how beautiful broken can be”.
Ryker literally went through hell during his last mission while serving his country and is now at tipping point after his team made up of other assorted ex military guys and gals almost lose one of their own. He decides to finally reach out to Dax who was the only other team mate to make it out of 15 months of hell after being captured however he appears to have left it too long and while leaving Dax’s work he bumps into Wren and now his life has a purpose again and he will do what he can to keep her brothers promise because promises mean everything to Wren and her brother. This is a roller coaster of emotion that leads 2 people into finding out someone will love them for all of their flaws and shows them if they really want something they will fight for it. Be ready for tense times, white knuckle situations, steamy scenes and estranged friends becoming close once again.
This book and the characters and the vivid description and writing is beyond amazing, you will feel every single emotion coming off in waves as we land in Rykers Hell. His emotional torment is heartbreaking as he lives a very lonely life until he runs into Wren who truly sees every part of him right to his soul and the monster he thinks he is. I really loved Wren, she was so strong with the biggest heart and it truly had laugh out moments, loved her swear words and her determination. They bring the good out of each other and not many can do that in such a traumatic situation but these two were the most beautiful truthful” I see you” and they deserved every single bit of happiness and so much more. Oh my heart. Im glad they have Dax, Inara and West in their lives its so much better to have family.
