The whole concept of time travel gives me a headache. Seriously, I have trouble wrapping my mind around it, even though Outlander is my favorite book. Throw in Time Weavers, Disruptors and the like, and I’m almost lost. However, I’m so glad I stuck with it, or else I would have missed a really entertaining story. Once I stopped trying to figure out the logistics, I began to really like these characters.
Torr is one of my favorite type of heroes, a hot Scottish Highland laird. That brogue gets me every time. Diana is the time traveler, who is sent to Torr’s time to make sure he dies, else the future will be changed. Oh, dear, that can’t be good, especially when she falls for him! I really liked Diana. Though she could take care of herself, she was a sensitive woman. I was glad when she cried……..dammit, I was crying, and I didn’t want to cry alone!
I had no idea how the author was possibly going to be able to pull off a happy ending, as things were really looking bleak. But pull it off she did! The story was fun and exciting, and the loving was hot. I’m hoping to read more adventures about Diana’s “clan”.
I received a copy of this book courtesy of NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are strictly my own.
Wow, one of the reasons I wanted to read this story was because not only was the book information interesting but also I was drawn into the “how can this work out?” question.
The main characters were really good and both Diana and Torr were also surrounded with really good people of their “clan”. In Torr’s time they were definitely considered a clan but it was also easy to understand when it was said that Diana had her own “clan” as well. Members of the TWI mainly being that clan.
The world building was really detailed and good both in Scotland and in the way that Time Weavers (TWI) worked. Disruptors were able to go into time as well but worked against history as it stood. Thus the name of Disruptors, the wanted to change history for their own purposes. Some of those purposes were not yet fully explained. Mainly because even the people in the story were trying to figure that out. All they could do at this point was to keep fighting to restore history before a major problem remained.
The story does get steamy but further along in the story and it doesn’t feel like some books were it’s all steam and little story. The story is definitely there. This book is filled with emotion, action, twists, turns, dangers, suspense and romance. Even the romance between the two main characters kind of develops a bit differently. There is also more than one time of guessing who the villain of the piece is. Not only guessing about that but also how in the world it was going to work out just like I said originally. That became harder and harder to imagine as time went on. That part alone was done pretty darn good as far as I am concerned. It has a good ending but also leaves an opening for further adventures.

Amazing interaction and understanding of nuances of relationships. This story made time travel believable and brought new life to an old trope in romance. Lexi writes her stories from inspiration of classics. The old classics trigger “what if” ideas and she spins them into delightful stories.
This is the start of a series that I’m sure will be named Time Weavers Inc or something to that effect. It is a group the of time travelers who reset history to its proper timeline after the “Disruptors” have tinkered with it that has devastating consequences in the future. Diana Montgomery has gone back to 1306 to make sure Laird Torr MacPherson dies in a battle with Clan Comyn to spur Robert The Bruce to keep England from claiming Scotland. The problem is she falls in love with Torr and can’t see him die. Oh dear, what’s she gonna do???
Thank you Lexi and Entangled granting me a NetGalley ARC of this book for my honest opinion.
ON HIGHLAND TIME by Lexi Post is an intriguing and interesting Time Travel, Scottish Romance set in 1306 Scotland. Interesting concept the “Time Weavers, Inc.” group, Diana was sent back through time to find the culprit who changed history and set things back to rights. A minor clan chief, Torr, must die in battle as he originally had, but can Diana allow that to happen? Will her feelings get in the way? Suspenseful, sexy, passionate, with a few twists and turns, and a HEA, which leaves the concept of more to come. Interesting characters. The storyline was unpredictable and intriguing to me. I can’t wait to read more from Lexi Post.I received a complimentary copy, however, all opinions are my own.

I loved this time travel book! And now I can’t wait for the next one because I really need to ‘know’ what Jules is up too!! Very good read, you won’t be disappointed!!
Now this one was a bit different with intrigue woven in because of what Diana needed to do. Then there is Torr whom has a way with him and will capture your heart. This author will give a mission but you will be slowly pulled in and strung up because you want it aborted. the group itself is different with you getting into them with interest also. The drama will capture you with your heart filling up slowly with nose to the page to see where it all ends up.
Diana Montgomery is an agent for Time Weavers Inc. Her task this time is to go back to
Scotland in the early 1300s and make sure that the time line is not “disrupted” . What she didn’t bank on was the difficulty she would have in sticking to rule 5, (Don’t make friends ).
Torr MacPherson is chief of his call after the deaths of mist of his family. He will make sure he doesn’t lose anyone else he loves. The protection of his King and his clan are as all important to him now.
Our heroine has traveled in time before and never had a problem sticking to the rules and accomplishing her mission , but this one is much more difficult.
Our hero knows there is a traitor in his keep and there are only a few suspects.
A really good highland adventure with lots of humour, romance and some sexy scenes. I lived all the characters, especially our little Go Lucky.
Great fun, I can’t wait for the next book in the series
On Highland Time is a phenomenal time travel romance by Lexi Post. Ms. Post has once again delivered a book that is well-written, fun to read and stands out in it’s genre. The cast of characters in this book is extraordinary, I love them. Diana is an agent for Time Weavers and travels in time to repair history to what it should be before it was changed by Disruptors. She travels back in time to the Scottish Highlands. Torr is the MacPherson laird and must die in the upcoming battle for history to not be changed. Torr and Diana’s story is loaded with suspense, action, humor and sizzle. On Highland time hooked me at page one and I enjoyed every page and I look forward to my next book by Lexi Post. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I will say right from the start that I am not a huge fan of historicals or time travel. Most I have tried to read the authors try too hard, focusing on minute details that do not affect the story or characters trying to bring the background of the story to life but leaving the plot choppy and unsatisfying and the characters boring. I usually end up stopping before I get halfway through the read. With that said, I truly enjoy Lexi Post’s writing style. It is a fresh approach you do not see every day with intriguing twists on classic stories and poems. She brings them to life with her talent weaving layers of mystery, suspense and romance into the tale and giving added depth to the characters. On Highland Time is no different. The descriptions of the beautiful Scottish scenery, the comradery of the clan, the tension filled air as they ready for battle, the strength and loyalty of the characters, the heart pounding suspense as the mystery unfolds and the sexy chemistry that simmers between Diana and Torr will pull you in to this unique story and hold your interest. There are smiles, laughter, tears, worry, angst, turmoil, deep bonds of friendship and loyalty, compassion and a soul-deep love that crosses time. And let us not forget the charming, sexy Scottish Highlanders who know how to treat a lady in any time. Just WOW! This book is a win-win all around and you will be cheating yourself out of a good story if you do not give it a try.
Diana finds herself in a fix when she travels back in time to set history right, and falls in love. Torr is all about protecting his small clan, and finding a traitor among them. The characters are written so in-depth and heart-felt, I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
I wanted to read a historical romance, so I flipped through my many many books on my ereader and saw the On Highland Time cover. Hey, a Lexi Post book! Let’s dive in.
The funny thing about ereaders is that you can buy a book and then not read it for a while. So I forgot what it was about, only that there’s a hot highlander on the cover. It was good enough for what I wanted.
And when I realized there was time travel – on purpose! – mixed in with that hot highlander? And add a smart heroine to boot? AND a fantastic story? Thank you, random ereader pick, for stopping on this book. You should all be so lucky.
The book take place in 1306 Scotland. I must admit that at the beginning I considered shelving the book. The beginning seemed to be unable to grab my attention and just seemed to roll on to nowhere in particular. I would like to say that the beginning was the only place where the story dragged. But, it wasn’t. Once the story got past the places where it dragged, I enjoyed it. So, I give you this warning pay no attention to the whining of the heroine. Give it a chance, tarry on, you just might enjoy the story. The story of Torr and Diana is a good one.
Somewhat different aspect of time travel, but a entertaining read.
Very good
This story goes back and forth from today to the 1300s in Scotland. TWI Agency have the talent to go back in time and rectify past events to stop the future being disrupted. The problem was Diana fell in love with a highlander and didn’t want him to die, how will the future change if she brings him home? An entertaining tale of romance in difficult times.
4.5 Stars
On Highland Time by Lexi Post is the story of Diana Montgomery and Torr MacPherson.
This is a time travel romance so if you are like me I enjoy those books.
Diana works for Time Weavers, Inc where the agents can go back in time to correct mishaps that set the wrong history into motion. Diana is head back in time to correct a battle where Torr was to die. But what she didn’t plan on was her feelings for him. Thorr was a large man but with a big heart and took Diana into his clan but he has sworn off taking anyone into his heart. But Torr is finding it hard to resist his growing feelings!
I couldn’t put it down!!!
This was one of those books I became obsessed with…I’m talking “almost falling up the stairs because I’m so focused on reading the book instead of looking where I’m walking.” 🙂
I was pulled in by the seemingly impossible synopsis; how could she make sure he died if she was no doubt going to fall in love with him?! I was kept in suspense right up until the end…which was left wiiiiiiide open for more books in this series! (Don’t worry, Torr and Diana get a Happily Ever After!)
I thought Torr and Diana were written beautifully, but Torr is one of my favorite heroes. The synopsis mentions that he knows how to treat a lady, and WOW does he!
Speaking of “wow,” holy HOT love scenes. I mean, good gracious. Torr. LOVE him.
While this is the first Lexi book I have read, it definitely won’t be my last. The story didn’t go in the direction I thought it would, and I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed the unpredictability. I was also in tears towards the end at a part I won’t spoil for you.
I can’t wait for more books in this series!!!!
(I was given this book in consideration of my honest thoughts)
This is my first time reading a time travel romance and I got to say I really enjoyed it. I loved books that are intertwined with history (more or less).
The story was beautifully paced and after you get the hang of all the rules of TWI you fall into it and I just couldn’t put it down.
I enjoyed all the alone moments between Diana and Torr. You could just feel how Torr manages to steal Diana’s heart peace by peace with all his actions and tenderness. And that is why my heart was breaking when he demanded to be taken back. But then it was put together again when he finally admitted to himself that he was in love with her and was willing to do whatever to get back to her even if it meant leaving behind everything he knows.
This is book one in the series and I’m looking forward to the next time travel to hit my Kindle 🙂

When someone changes history, affecting the future, Diana Montgomery, the most experienced agent of Time Weavers, Inc., travels back to 1306 Scotland to change it back. Her mission, to find the culprit and ensure a minor clan chief dies in battle as he originally had.
Diana is well-prepared to infiltrate the small MacPherson clan. What she’s not prepared for is Torr MacPherson, the ruggedly handsome warrior with a kind heart and a steadfast loyalty—the Laird she’s supposed to ensure dies.
I was really looking forward to reading this book after reading the blurb but it didn’t live up to the synopsis. The explanation of Time Weavers and Disruptors was just too wordy & long for me but I could live with that. I liked Diana & Torr & their characters were well fleshed but did Torr’s muscles need to be continually mentioned? I got that he’s a strapping Scotsman but I didn’t need it repeated so often & I found myself skipping passages. Although I did have some issues with the book I did enjoy it & would certainly read more from the author
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
How can someone travel through time and change history? Well if you are Diana, a member of the Time Weavers, Inc, it is possible. Actually her group travels back in time to correct disruptions caused by another group who change time to the detriment. On such a mission Diana travels back to 1306 Scotland to find the culprit who changed the timeline and make sure a clan chief dies as history had written. But when she meets that clan chief Torr MacPheason, how can she let him die? Torr is a fierce warrior but has strong loyalty to his people and a kind heart. Falling in love with him was not on the agenda and how could she complete her mission if she let him live? An interesting story that will hold your interest to see what happens in the end.
