We met on a Tuesday. Became best friends, then lovers, on a Tuesday. And everything fell apart on a Tuesday… Charlotte Taylor has three automatic strikes in my book: 1) She hates me. She also claims that I’m a “domineering jerk with a huge, overbearing ego.” (I do have something huge. It’s not my ego, though.) 2) She takes our mandatory tutoring sessions way too seriously. 3) She’s sexy as … She’s sexy as hell…And a virgin.
At least, those were her strikes before our study sessions started lasting longer than they were supposed to. Until one innocent kiss became a hundred dirty ones, and until she became the first woman I ever fell hard for.
Our future together after graduation was supposed to be set:
Professional football for me. Law school for her.
But she left me at the end of the semester with no explanation, and then she completely disappeared from my life.
Until tonight.
We met on a Tuesday.
Became everything, then nothing, on a Tuesday.
And now it’s seven years later, on a Tuesday…
This is a full length second chance romance, inspired by Adele’s “When We Were Young”

I LOVE Whitney G. books and second chance romance is my absolute favorite!
Charlotte and Grayson meet in their senior year of college when she is assigned as his tutor. Grayson is the football start to watch on his path to the NFL draft and Charlotte is the binge watching Friends, coffee drinker, no football and parties type of girl.
Grayson is instantly attracted to her and his relentless pursuit of her, his gentleman ways, his sexy smirks are just to die for. Charlotte seems like she is just not into him and her sassiness puts him in his place. The push and pull between them was just so much fun to experience.
Fast forward 7 years and the connection and relationship that eventually is established between them no longer exists and they are no longer in each others’ lives. But why? What happened?
On a Tuesday is told in past and present—giving readers a chance to watch how this couple moves from friends to something more. Finding out the reason for their 7 year separation was heartbreaking while a bit predictable but still sad and emotional nonetheless.
I loved the banter, Charlotte and Grayson’s easy connection, and Grayson’s words…just WOW!
What I would have wanted more of… more time together in the present time, less insta and more understanding of why she was different for him, just more time together… I did really like them together <3
Whitney G. is a must read author for me and while this wasn't my favorite, I still loved it. I love her writing, her stories, the way she incorporates such heat and passion between her characters and stories that just touch your heart and soul.
I can't wait for more!!!
Whitney G’s books are fast-paced, easy to read stories told from the two main characters pov. The 2 main characters are beautiful, intelligent, nerdy Charlotte and scrumptious star quarterback Grayson. The story mostly takes place during their senior year in college. Charlotte is assigned to assist Grayson as his tudor. Theirs is a slow burn type of attraction. Charlotte wants nothing to do with the campus “player” Grayson outside of their tutoring sessions each Tuesday. Grayson, on the other hand, has Charlotte in his crosshairs and is determined to win her over and prove he’s more than just a meathead jock looking to score off the field. The development of their relationship throughout their senior year is enjoyable to read. I love the significance of Tuesday and when they finally do succumb to their feelings, it’s hot and also sweet. Throughout the story, we also find out that something happened where they both think the other just walked away from each other with no explanation at the end of their senior year.
The story unfolds in flashbacks to their college days and then to present day when they reunite. Slowly we learn what really happened seven years ago. Without spoiling anything, I will say that I was so mad with one of the characters when the truth came out. But no worries, Charlotte and Grayson do get their HEA. They deserve it too.
Awesome read.
Filled with the trials of young love. It was a refreshing read!
Nice quick read
Loved this book from the very beginning
The plot was okay and the characters were okay, but none of it was great.
It was so very boring that I found my mind wondering several times. The story had great potential, but the h kept pushing the H away and it made the book feel tedious.
And (SPOILER ALERT) the bathrobe scene near the end of the book is completely unrealistic!! Seriously?
Well written an awesome storyline.
LOVE the story so with the characters…
One of my all time favorites.
This book was great! Totally recommend! Kept me up late to get to the end!
I really liked this book. Great author.
Love Whitney G’s books! She captures your attention and you can’t stop reading! This is another winner! Can’t wait to read the next one!
I loved this story. The characters are so warm and relatable and i found myself unable to put it down until it was finished.
Thank f•ck the reason of their “break up” wasn’t too stupid… But what about Facebook?
There was angst, but unfortunately I didn’t *feel* it. I wanted more feelings. Sigh.
Charlotte Taylor up and disappeared right when Grayson Connors finally got her to take a chance with him. So, when an opportunity arises for him to confront her, he jumps at it – taking Charlotte, and us, back seven years to when they first meet on a Tuesday. He is going to get the answers he deserved to get all those years ago. Charlotte won’t be able to escape the only man she’s ever loved, no matter how much he broke her heart.
There were three reasons why I picked up this book:
1. It helped me complete one of my reading tasks for a reading challenge. Yay!
2. It was inspired by one of my favorite songs and artists – “When we were young” – Adele. How awesome it that?
3. The author has a pretty awesome name. 😉
All silliness aside, I really enjoyed this short read. It alternated between the past and present to tell this epic love story between two unlikely people. The hero in this book is way past swoon-worthy. His dedication to our protagonist made my heart sing. La-la-la-la-la…
4 stars for this one guys. I am going to be on the lookout for more novels by this author. She’s a keeper. 🙂

I always enjoy a good second chance love story and this was no exception. I liked the back and forth between now and then so we could get the whole story of how they fell in love and how it fell apart. I do wish it was longer though, I would have liked to have seen more of their love story now and how it felt being back together after 7 years. Grayson was so sweet and charming and I fell in love with him instantly. His notes and unwavering love for Charlotte melted my heart. I can completely understand why she was prickly at first and didn’t want to be with a guy who had such a reputation, I would have been the same.
The title is fitting. The story of Grayson and Charlotte is a sweet one. Throughout the whole thing I couldn’t figure out why they split up. They were perfect together. The chase, the capture, the love these two shared. PERFECT.
And then it all came to an end.
This is the story of how good things can happen on a Tuesday.
Written in that Whitney G way that’ll have you wanting to devour and savor the story at the same time, you won’t be able to stop listening–or reading.
I love love Whitney G.’s writing. Grayson and Charlotte’s story is beautiful. The back and forth, past and present, is well written, and easy to follow. The narration is really well done. This is the second time I listen to Joseph Discher’s voice. He has a beautiful voice! Erin Mallon was as good as always. I enjoyed my listening.
Ohhhh I liked that this was a bit unexpected. I love the way how Whitney writes some awesome banter. I thought the past/present chapters were done well as I’m picky when it comes to that format. The stories from both kept me interested. I thought the length book and was told in the story flowed very well.
