We met on a Tuesday. Became best friends, then lovers, on a Tuesday. And everything fell apart on a Tuesday… Charlotte Taylor has three automatic strikes in my book: 1) She hates me. She also claims that I’m a “domineering jerk with a huge, overbearing ego.” (I do have something huge. It’s not my ego, though.) 2) She takes our mandatory tutoring sessions way too seriously. 3) She’s sexy as … She’s sexy as hell…And a virgin.
At least, those were her strikes before our study sessions started lasting longer than they were supposed to. Until one innocent kiss became a hundred dirty ones, and until she became the first woman I ever fell hard for.
Our future together after graduation was supposed to be set:
Professional football for me. Law school for her.
But she left me at the end of the semester with no explanation, and then she completely disappeared from my life.
Until tonight.
We met on a Tuesday.
Became everything, then nothing, on a Tuesday.
And now it’s seven years later, on a Tuesday…
This is a full length second chance romance, inspired by Adele’s “When We Were Young”

This story blew me away!! I simply loved it. Grayson and Charlotte!
He plays college football in Pittsburg and she is a law/art student. They met on Tuesday, she as his English tutor. She is beautiful, sweet and smart. He is planning on playing Professional Football. In this beautiful romance, everyhting significant in college happened on a Tuesday. The author tells the story by going to the past and then and the present as now!
Excellent listen on Audible, with the amazing narrators, Erin Mallon and Joseph Discher.
I really enjoyed this story <3
NA College romance then and now . . .
Overall 5 out of 5 stars
Performance 5 out of 5 stars
Story 5 out of 5 stars
On a Tuesday has most certainly won itself a fan. It was sweet, fun, beautiful, charming, real, and hits of sorrow, pain, sadness. It may not have held the intensity of constant sex, but it certainly held romance and charm. Charlotte Taylor was the all American sexy, sweetheart. She was the friend you wanted and the woman you wanted to get to know. Grayson was the all American star football player, with looks, charm, and smarts. He was not your typical ball player. He was intelligent, respectful, resourceful, and knew his own heart. I very much loved getting to see their story then and now. As for the bad guy, there was not enough payback there to make up for all the damage. Oh and it was clear upon meeting things would not be right.
Charlotte and Grayson got there first and second chance in one story of then and now. Then he was the rave of campus. Then he was under false accusations. Then he was the star football player. Then he was the guy. Then she was the one that he wanted over any other. Then she was just the girl tease. Then she was the one person the could stop it all from being. Seven years later. She was still the one. She was the one that could change it all. He was the one that could make her open up. What they needed was time.
Narrator duo combo was fantastic. I loved Erin and Joseph. The duo did a job that allowed you to fall in love with then and now. The transitions were flawless. The audio quality was there clear and clean of skips or hiccups. I loved the emotional quality of both Erin and Joseph’s take on the characters. Their voice pitching, diction, and cadence felt perfect for the characters they were portraying.
Audiobook version:
Whitney G! I loved this! College Quarterback and his peer tutor who could care less about his fame. When they are in the spotlight, not being chased seems to peak their interest more than the swooners! I thought it was written really well and had great characters that I could quickly connect with. Loved it!
Narration was fantastic! Erin Mallon is a unicorn! She has a beautiful and unique female voice yet can also do a perfect male narration 2 seconds later?! Both narrators brought their A game and gave life to these amazing characters. Thank you!

I love it!
Whitney G puts her spin on this second chance romance. On A Tuesday hit the goal for me. There are so many points I can check off on this story: wonderful characters, sexual tension, passion, emotional connection, witty dialogue, plot twist, and a sigh-worthy ending. The past and present are written seamlessly to create a captivating story that flowed easily.
On A Tuesday is about young love, betrayal, and loss of trust. But wow, I never expected the reveal and was totally surprised towards the end.
The author did a great job of dangling that carrot, making it twist in the air, all the way towards the ending. I simply devoured this story wanting to know what really happened between them. Two people so in love that a 7-year separation couldn’t stop the heart from wanting. For Grayson Connors and Charlotte Taylor, what ruined their relationship should never have happened. My heart broke for them.
But Grayson has a romantic heart and knows Charlotte. On the path to mending their relationship, Grayson does a spectacular job winning Charlotte’s heart and trust. On A Tuesday is a beautiful romance and the ending will make you swoon.
Exciting and heart-breaking at the same time.
P L O T
A simple and cliche plot but I do love cliches when it comes to romance. From the moment I felt sparks fly between our two main characters, I always wondered what went wrong in their relationship. They are perfect for each other and they barely argue. Both make sure to face their problems and talk it through. Turns out their break-up was caused by something they never saw coming. Utterly devastating and mind-blowing, I literally cried during scenes that are extremely sad and heartbreaking.
C H A R A C T E R S
Grayson Connors
I love how cocky Grayson can be. He knows what he’s capable of, knows his limits, and knows what he has both physically and mentally. His character of being this humble, famous football player that everyone thinks he just sleeps around and beds professors for grades. When a knows what he wants, Grayson is the type of man who doesn’t stop until he gets it.
Charlotte Taylor
Charlotte’s character is a strong, independent woman. She has been through so much. She could have easily blamed Grayson for messing up her life but he did also help steer her in the right direction despite the huge bumps on the road.
W R I T I N G
My ultimate favorite form of writing a second-chance romance. Switching the story settings between the past and the present until all emotions collide.
O V E R A L L
I kinda wanted more for the ending, but I don’t think it could get any better than that. Whitney G is such an amazing romance author and I cannot wait to read more from her.
This book was freaking amazing. I mean, seriously.
I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve read by this author, so I honestly didn’t expect this one to be any different, but I completely fell in love with this book.
I loved seeing Grayson pursue Charlotte. I loved that for the first time, he had to work for a girl, and even better, it was the first time he WANTED to work to get the girl. I loved seeing him fall in love with her (and her with him) and I loved seeing how much in love they still were with each other after being separated for a while.
Speaking of that separation, I totally called it. And even though I figured it out, I was pissed on their behalf. [Honestly, the person that interfered with them didn’t get nearly what they deserved. (hide spoiler)]
Audio book Review: August 2018
I literally jumped at the chance to listen to this book in audio. I’ve loved some of the author’s other books, both on my kindle, and on audio so when I saw this one, I grabbed it. Erin Mallon and Joseph Discher did a great job bringing Charlotte, Grayson and the story to life. There were even times that I was chuckling or giggling to myself (at work mind you) while listening. They did an awesome job!
I totally recommend this book, not just ebook, but audio as well!
Whenever I pick up a book by Whitney G I know that I am in for a range of emotions, and I better be prepared to read the whole book in one day, or have issues sleeping. Her characters stay with me. I keep hearing their conversations in my head. Usually they stay with me for a few days while my brain goes crazy with the possibilities of what happened after THE END.
In this story Grayson is a star football player in college and Charlotte is the one that has been assigned to tutor him. He is attracted to her, but unlike most of the females he is used to, she won’t give in to him. He had to work really hard just to get her phone number. They finally get together. They fall in love…. And then they graduate. That’s where the trouble begins. They reunite 7 years later at a reunion, and just like in college, when he decided to go after her to figure out what happened she wouldn’t give in. Again he did not give up the pursuit.
The story has time jumps, so you need to make sure that you are paying attention to the chapter titles. They have a lot of email conversations throughout the book. (I am not sure why but for some reason I LOVE when books have written, email and text conversations) I love Grayson and Charlotte…. And I even love the supporting characters. The story moved quickly and did not drag out in any spot. Plus the chapters were all fairly short so it made it quite easy to pause when responsibilities got in the way (darn that adulthood). I absolutely loved this book!!!
Wow! I can’t say enough about how much I loved this book! So many feelings following Grayson and Charlotte! It will remind you of the love you felt for your spouse when you first met them and how you continue to feel no matter how long you are together. Amazing!
Charlotte is in her freshman year at college the first time she meets Grayson Connors. He tries to turn on the charm and she shoots him down. Not the usual response he gets from a girl and it intrigues him. Nothing she dislikes more than a cocky guy who expects girls to fall at his feet.
When they are both in their senior year Charlotte needs some additional credits to help her get into law school and is assigned the task of tutoring a student. It turns out to be Grayson Connors, the epitome of the sort of guys she steers clear of. She needs these credits though so she reluctantly agrees to meeting him once a week on a Tuesday to make sure he passes what he needs to.
Straight away Grayson decides he likes her and he sets out to convince Charlotte to take a chance on him. His reputation with other girls is the main reason why she repeatedly turns down his requests for her phone number. It takes a long time but he eventually builds up enough trust to get that elusive phone number. He slowly manages to chip away at her resolve not to like him, proving to her that he is genuine in his intentions.
Things go so well that Grayson truly thinks he has found the girl he is meant to spend the rest of his life with. Charlotte struggles with the attention he gets being the star quarterback who is to be drafted as a first pick in the NFL. Grayson has to work hard to help her overcome the doubts she has, he wants her to believe in what they have growing between them. It’s when they both go off to pursue their career dreams that things start to go so wrong.
It’s been seven years since these two saw each other and they are about to come face to face at their college reunion, on a Tuesday…
I haven’t read a college based story in a while and I really enjoyed this studious girl vs college football jock storyline. If you like stories like that then you should enjoy this too 🙂
I love the emotion that Whitney G is able to make you feel in her books. And this does not disappoint. The story goes back and forth from 7 years ago to present. I like seeing the history with Charlotte and Greyson, and where they are currently. This is a good second chance story, and I definitely recommend it!
I loved this short read! I read this and the second book in 4 hours. Grayson is cocky but refuses to give up on his tutor, Charlotte. I wasn’t sure why the rape allegation was added as it never had anything to do with the relationship and was never mentioned again…odd. Besides that, the characters were well written and the book was great!
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read.
Soooo cute!!! Loved it!
Don’t read if you’re over the age of 20. Otherwise it may be okay.
Absolutely amazing
This story both broke my heart and warmed my soul. I loved Grayson and Charlotte so much that I couldn’t put this book down. My favorite thing was the flashbacks in between seeing these two find their way back to each other. I can’t wait for the next one!!!
I loved that Charlotte had standards. It might not have been the norm at her age but it truly did weed out the guys that were only in it for one thing.
I liked that even though Grayson was one of those kind of guys when he meets Charlotte something changed. He realized she was worth fighting for.
Sometimes the present and the past got to be a little annoying but I got over it.
The frustration was the ending for me, I didn’t understand how they could have gone without communicating at all they had mutual friends it was just too neat for me. But other than that I enjoyed this story.
Both narrators did a great job. Joseph is a new narrator to me but I think I will have to see what else he has narrated.
I love the emotion that Whitney G is able to make you feel in her books. And this does not disappoint. The story goes back and forth from 7 years ago to present. LOVED IT! I read it in one seating.
Mannnnnn. Alllll the feels!
And heat!
And heart!
2nd Chance romance done right by Ms G!
Very easy to be sucked into this and root for the these two!
Highly recommend.
This book was so amazing I’m still in “the zone” and not ready to come down. This cocky football jock and beautiful smart virgin second chance love story will pull at your heart strings and mess up all your emotions! Better have some Kleenex handy cause you will need them!
Seven years ago, Grayson and Charlotte meet in college in Pittsburg and fall deeply in love. Grayson never dates, never had a girlfriend, but he needs to make up some missing credits before graduation and it’s senior year. So the college makes exception for their star quarterback and he only has to be tutored to make up the credits. He meets Charlotte, his tutor, who also has to make up some credits, on a Tuesday. He is immediately attracted to her. She instantly dislikes him because she knows “his kind” and as they meet every Tuesday, he becomes more and more intrigued by her and more and more persistent to get her phone number and go out with her. I loved the sweetness of Grayson as he pursued Charlotte. The story is told in alternating POVs and the chapters go back and forth from the present to seven years ago to fill in all what happened when Charlotte disappeared from his life right after graduation on a Tuesday. This young love story will break your heart. I cried ugly tears! All because of manipulations! He sees her again, seven years later, on, you got it, a Tuesday.
I would give this book way more than Five Stars if I could!! If loving the characters, feeling their pain, their loss, their love, is the sign of a good author, then you have a great one right here! I loved their friends, too, Kyle and Nadira. Everything about this book was perfect, except I read it on a Wednesday (less)
On a Tuesday by Whitney G. is a standalone contemporary romance in her new One Week series that is all about first love and second chances. Starting in Senior year of college and ending seven years after that this story flashes from then to now and slowly builds the story of Charlotte and Grayson meeting, Grayson’s persistence in the face of Charlotte’s flat out refusal to play his game, to them falling in love and to the end of it all back then. The second chance comes seven years later, once again at Grayson’s persistence, and the truth is slowly revealed. Why they stopped talking, who ghosted who, and who was really to blame for the years and more they lost together. Enjoy!
Audio review note: The narrators (Erin Mallon and Joseph Discher) did a phenomenal job of breathing life into not just the main characters but also the secondary characters. Their skill brought the characters to life and were a perfect addition to the story of Charlotte and Grayson.
