Another Suzanne Wright book, that I couldn’t put down. I love the characters, the story and the world she builds in our imagination. I finish every book thinking I want to go drinking with this lot. This book was no different. Keep the books coming… Please.
Like the rest, Omens is an incredible book!! This is the story of Khloe and Keenan.
It starts out with Jolene calling Khloe for help with a member in her lair. Since she has lots of fun powers that she hides from most, that with the fact that she is the funniest imp ever makes her one of the best heroine’s I have read.
Things get a little out of hand with Khloe helping Jolene. That puts a target on her back with a not so happy crazy person, he continues to try and kill Khloe. This of course does not make Keenan happy. It takes a little bit for him to get his crap together and stop fighting Khloe, but when he does he is all in.
I can’t believe I’m going to have to wait for Raini and Maddox’s book. So far no details on Larkin and Levi. But I’m going to guess Larkin and Teague and Levi and Ella. Maybe?
This will be on my read all the time list for sure.
I’m so high on Keenan, even my kids can’t ruin this feeling.
This was another great, entertaining and emotional story in the ‘The Dark in You’ series. From the very beginning these characters (Keenan and Khloe) were part of the stories. And although I loved the first four books where we got to follow Harper and Knox and their love story. I was really looking forward to the stories where Knox’s sentinels and Harper’s friends would fall in love. And from the very beginning it was clear that there was something between Keenan and Khloe but they fought (each for their own reason) this attraction between them. But there always comes a time where you can’t fight it any longer and that happened in this story ‘Omens’. Keenan and Khloe were finally ready (or at least their demons were very ready) to lose control and see if they had a chance at being together.
Again, we got both POV’s of the main characters in the story. Just like the other guys, Keenan was possessive, dominant, strong and intelligent. I loved the fact that we learned more about his childhood and past. And then you had Khloe, she’s such a crazy, fun, impulsive, neat-obsessived imp. She loved nothing more than to get under people’s skin and she was very good at it! But she was also a very good friend. I really loved the interaction and the banter between not only Keenan and Khloe but also between all the secondary characters, going from Khloe’s family to their friends. It was great seeing everyone again and to meet some new characters too!
The story had a few surprises in it. With each book we get to learn more and more about this fascinated demon world and I love it!
In this story we (and his parents) discovered more of Archer’s powers and we met Raini’s anchor!! A very interesting character!!! I can’t wait to read their story!
So if you’re in the mood for a demon series and you don’t like dark stories but are looking for something fun and entertaining (and steamy!) then you really have to try this series ‘The dark in you’. I really recommend it!
I really like this series!
Keenan is one of those dirty talking leading men that makes your toes curl. He likes to be in control and it drives him crazy that around Khloe, he’s anything but. She pushes his buttons and for years Keenan has fought against himself and against his demon to give into temptation. However the more danger Khloe is in, the harder it gets to keep his distance and not claim what is his.
Khloe’s character drives me a little nuts. Her “crazy” personality borders on juvenile and after a while, it gets seriously annoying. Luckily because of what all is happening, she’s not nearly as bad as in previous books, plus she has a whole lot of other stuff to worry about. Once Khloe and Keenan finally acknowledge and give in to their feelings, I liked her so much better. She shows a more tamer side and was a much more enjoyable character. Having Keenan in your life would do wonders for anyone.
The characters are racing against the clock to locate certain people (no spoilers) and things get a little tense a couple of times. All of the characters from the previous books are around and little Asher really shines. He’s such a cutie!
Raini and Maddox’s story is next and I’m extremely excited to learn more about Maddox, as well as those mind conversations he and Raini have been having.
As excited as I was for a new Suzanne Wright (and believe you me, I was freaking excited), I wasn’t sure about Khloé. A bundle of freakadelic demon energy, she’s great in small doses. A whole book, though? I should have known better than to be worried because of course Ms. Wright pulled it off.
I ended up loving Khloé more than Keenan. In fact, it was Keenan I ended up wanting to slap around a little. His resistance to wanting a relationship led me to contemplating serious violence against a fictional character-in other words, he drove me batty. But, when he finally pulled his head out of his posterior region, I forgave him. I mean, come on, it’s a well known fact he has an enormous, well, you know. And not only that, he more than proved here that he knows how to use it. Plus, he paid dearly for all his faffing around.
Enoch made for an interesting villain albeit a bit of a ghoulish and disturbing one. He certainly gave everybody a run for their money. And then we had Thea, the obligatory spurned lover that we always seem to get in these books. Goodness, but these poor men had terrible taste in women before they finally met their true matches.
My absolute favorite ended up being Asher. He stole the show in every scene he appeared in. I just adore that freaky little guy. He’s going to be scary strong. Heck, he already is.
And now that I’ve plowed through Khloé and Keenan (twice if I’m being honest about it), I cannot freaking wait until Raini and Maddox’s story. Actually, I’m so excited about their story I’m starting to worry it will never live up to my sky high expectations. Wait, this is Suzanne Wright I’m talking about, so I know I’m going to absolutely love it.
Rating: 4.5 I Freakadelic Demons Rock Stars

So Freaking awesome! I seriously loved it! The chemistry. The angst. The storyline. The thrilling action pact love fest just grabs you and won’t let go! Keenan and Khloe have been fighting their feelings for so long they can almost fool themselves into believing they feel nothing. It’s scorching and every one can see it. Until one little bet changes everything. Once could never be enough, especially with a ruthless enemy is after her and will stop at nothing to reach his goal. It’s a race against time to defeat him before it destroys everything Keenan holds dear.
Keenan is a man who has to be in complete control, his childhood left scars that even though he has pushed through all the obstacles in his way they still haunt him. Keenan is fascinated by Khloe, he doesn’t want to be but everything about her entices him and his demon. They want Khloe, but Keenan is fighting against the urge to be with her because he knows she has the potential to destroy him if it went bad.
Khloe doesn’t want Keenan, well she does but he drinks a lot and she believes him to be an alcoholic. A wager is made and Khloe believes Keenan will succumb to drinking but she doesn’t realize Keenan could care less of having a drink. Khloe and Keenan ignite with one another but will Keenan be able to walk away when Khloe is put in danger?
I was so anxious for this book. Absolutely loved every minute and this one made me shed a few tears. Keenan and Khloe are a fascinating couple and I loved how Keenan embraces everything Khloe, he doesn’t try to tame her which is wonderful. Keenan was better then I expected, I thought he was broody but when he opens up to Khloe …WOWZA. Amazing read, everything I wanted and more.
This was fantastic!
I had been looking forward to Khloe’s story, and Wright didn’t disappoint.
I enjoyed the humor and was drawn into the storyline. The chemistry was great. The writing was great. Everything was great.
It could be read as a standalone, but it would probably be even more enjoyable if you read some of the related books first.
All together, I highly recommend this one.
Omens is the sixth book in the Dark in You series by Suzanne Wright and features the long awaited pairing of Khloe, an imp and Keenan, an incubus and it’s definitely a case of when opposites attract. In some ways Khloe is so organised she’s almost anal about the precision in the placement of her stapler and then she goes and blows it by doing something completely impish usually involving some random item such a traffic cone and of course, copious amounts of alcohol. She was described to a T in a previous book when it was said that she’d make an excellent army general…. but then her own troops would most likely shoot her. Keenan has spent the last few years basically acting as her unofficial baby sitter pulling her out of one mess after another. Now the incubus has finally had enough of losing his legendary control whenever he’s around her and decides to act on the attraction he feels. Knowing Khloe as well as he does he makes a bet with her where if he wins, he gets one night with her. With the electric chemistry between them though will once be enough?
Suzanne Wright is one of those authors who could announce she’s publishing her shopping list and I would pre-order it. As a rule I’m not a huge PNR fan but with the wonderful paranormal world underneath Las Vegas where demons hide in plain sight that she has created, filled with characters who are all strong willed, sarcastic females and alpha men and her plots that are filled with strong, humorous, family dynamics, witty banter and lots of sexy times. I can’t help but want more of the same. Personally I’d love to go on a night out with Harper, Khloe and the girls. There is a huge cast of secondary character such as the Wallis imps and who can forget Lucifer himself who manages to steal the show every time he makes an appearance. This is a series I hope will go on for many more books to come.
I am definitely a Suzanne Wright fangirl and Khloe and Keenan’s book was one of the most anticipated books of 2020 for me. Did it deliver… well hell yeah it did!!!
Khloe has always been my favorite character in this series. Funny as hell though chick.. just how I like my heroines. And she stayed that way throughout the whole book. Keenan did surprise me a bit, however… In a good way that is. He was so much hotter and protective then I figured he would be. Damn these two were on fire!!!
Now I don’t want to give anything away plotwise, so you will just have to trust me when I say that this one was definitely worth the wait.
I also loved visiting with all my favorites again. Can’t wait for the next one in this series, but one thing is for sure… Suzanne always delivers !!!
Go jump in right now…. I wish I could unread it and do it all over again!!

‘Omens’ is thus far my most favorite installment of the ‘Dark in You’ series. It centers around Khloe, an imp, who was a breath of fresh air, relatable and laugh out loud funny. The way she drove our beloved incubus, Keenan, crazy with her antics were the most memorable scenes aside from getting a bit more background info as to why Khloe is the way that she is.
As always, the author did a fairly decent job building a world where readers can easily dive into and building the characters and their storylines. She also teases readers with a glimpse of the next couple on our list, Raini and Maddox which I seriously can’t wait for because something tells me their installment is going to blow everything else out of the water.
4+ “It’s all about the monster D” Stars
I’ve been waiting for Khloë and Keenan’s story since for-e-ver, so when I heard there was an opportunity to get an ARC copy of Omens and read it a whole month before its release date I couldn’t run fast enough to my computer to request it (and I mean this—I literally interrupted what I was doing to fast walk into the study where my desktop is).
In true Suzanne Wright fashion, Khloë was a totally kick-ass chick with a healthy side of crazy. Her ability to drive people nuts was only rivaled by her loyalty and whole-hearted-loving and I totally adored her. I was surprised by her issues, as she was always the one encouraging Harper to move past hers, so this took me back a little bit, to be honest.
Keenan’s always been a bit of a mystery throughout the series, always with his vodka flask at hand, his aversion to being photographed and the monster in his pants. The fact that he takes his damn sweet time to finally go ahead and pursue Khloë made me feel the story had a bit of a slow beginning, but once he pulls his head out of his butt and goes after what he’s been wanting for so long things got interesting.
There’s no lack of mystery and action in Omens and Keenan with his monster D and his magic Incubus pheromones made for some seriously hot sexnanigans. I must confess that I felt he was a bit overshadowed by Khloë’s badassery and I kept waiting for him to eventually come and save the day… instead, it was View Spoiler » which I have to say, was the freaking best really.
Even though I had such high expectations for this book, Ms. Wright as always delivered an action-packed, suspense riddled, hot AF story with characters I completely love and can’t wait to hear more of. I’m crossing my fingers next we get to read about Raini and this Maddox guy.

This series is pure gold! So many fantastic moments in this book that not only made me love Keenan and Khloe more, but also has me excited for some possible future books still to come.
I got so comfortable with the girls in Harper and Knox’s books that I just didn’t even think about how there was more to them than we saw at the time I found that out in Devon and Tanners book and now again in Khloe and Kennan’s story.
I’ve always loved Khloe’s unique personality. She’s pretty much insane and has always been entertaining. Getting to see a more dangerous side of her, created mad respect. Now that I’ve seen it in Devon and Khloe, I can’t wait for Raini’s turn.
While the guys were exactly as I thought they would be, I was surprised with how well they stood up to my love of Knox. To me, Knox is THE Alpha character. I was worried it would be harder for his sentinel’s to hold up to his power. I should have known this author was going to deliver because she has managed to make me fall in love with them just as much as Knox.
Man, there were so many situations in this book that highlight other side characters that really just has me so excited for future books of the series. There are so many possibilities that I would make a Wallis proud because I will beg, lie and steal for them.
Excellent addition to the Dark in You series. I liked Keenan, who’s definitely an alpha male, and Khloe, who is more than his match. When the two of them get together, Boom!, explosive.
The villain was interesting and diabolical, and we got to spend time with characters from previous books.
Truly an enjoyable book and series. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
Thank you to the publisher, Piatkus, and NetGalley for an advance copy of this book. My thoughts and opinions are my own and without bias or favor.
Having read this entire series and enjoying all of it, this has to be my favorite. We have been watching Keenan and Khloe doing their slow burn for 5 books and now we have resolution. As lead characters they complement each other and seem to mesh so seamlessly. They are great together. Khloe is just who Keenan needs and the relationship really works.
Everyone who we have grown to know and love throughout the series is still present and has important roles in the story. It is wonderful how well fleshed out the relationships are in these stories. Between the characters and the plot, it is a great book. Of course, there is the usual snark and gleefulness. Omens is such an enjoyable read. I literally could not put it down.
Suzanne Wright did it again. She is such an amazing author. Some how she turns out great book after great book. She has 5 different series now that I just love. Omens was so good. Keenan and Khloe have had this slow burn sexual build up for 5 books now and I don’t know about anyone else, but I have been dying to get my hands on their book. Of course I loved it. It gave me everything I have been waiting for. Keenan was so sexy and protective. I loved that he also had this deeper side, a dark temper, past scars, and a playful side. As an Incubus it makes me just think sex but he was so much more. Although there is a lot going on in the sex department too.
Khloe made the book for me. She was so funny and crazy. I can’t tell you how many times I laughed reading this book. Khloe was also loyal, smart, and kicked ass.
Khloe and Keenan were so great together. The bad guy and his army omg gross. I loved that there was never a dull moment in this book. Keenan and Knox had a bit of an issue of sorts and I wish we would have got more on that. Instead it was just kinda glossed over. I loved the girl nights. Most of all I really wanted more of Raini and Maddox. Maddox was so intriguing. I need more of him and soon. Asher omfg Asher was the cutest little man ever I need a lot more Asher. Maybe we could get another book with Knox, Asher and Harper so we could get a bit more Asher. HINT HINT. I recommend this book and series to anyone that loves Paranormal romances. I also recommend her other series The Phoenix Pack Series, Deep In Your Veins Series, The Mercury Pack Series, and The Olympus Pride Series which are equally amazing.
The indomitable Ms. Wright has done it again. We finally get Keenan and Khloe’s story and wow what a story! From the word go, I was and as always entertained with this phenomenal crew of characters. Keenan and Khloe have been circling around each other for years, filled with witty remarks and steam so hot, it could literally burn your body to ashes, is peppered throughout this tale. Keenan has such a drive for control that he believed that Khloe would make him lose that control, follow that with Khloe’s impish nature, and the belief that Keenan would inevitably lose that control, finally caused the line that has been taut between them, to finally snap. Khloe loses a bet that she never had a chance of winning and then it is on and popping, Lol. Filled with betrayal, deceit, action, a very strong heroine, and some minor angst from a past relationship of Keenan’s, not to mention a very intense and scary moment, makes this a must-read. I read it one sitting and will be reading it again. And we get some more information about Raini’s not so much anchor, Maddox and who he really is, now the question remains what did Raini promise him? I really hope their book is next as I am anxiously waiting. I do wonder who Levi and Larkin will end up with though. Filled with so many laugh out loud moments.

Omens was a really enjoyable read. I fell into this story from the start and couldnt dig myself out or put it down until there were no more words. I have been waiting for Khloe and Keenan’ story for a while and it did not disappoint. These two have some strong sexual chemistry. I think my kindle started to smoke at times during the sexy times. I found Khloe and Keenan’s demons interesting. Their back and forth kept me entertained. I loved going on their ride to their HEA. There were some spins ans turns, but they got their happy ending. I really liked Khloe and Keenan together and felt that they just worked. Gotta love Asher. I love this world and cannot wait for more stories to come.
Khloe and Keenan’s story will capture you from the beginning to end. They have danced around each other for so long that them coming together can not be easy for either of them. This story is full of action and drama and belongs on your reread shelf.
I’ve been waiting for Keenan and Khloe to be together, like forever and I’m really really happy that we now get to have their story . Finally!!! This series is so addictive that you can’t help but anticipate each book. SW never disappoints. I enjoyed every page. From the first page I could tell it was going to be a hard book to put down. I love Khloe’s crazy antics and how she always manages to annoy Keenan and Devon too.
Here we get to know more about Khloe and Keenan’s past. The plot is very interesting and surprising. And who couldn’t help but adore Asher, I really love that kid.
There’s a lot in store for you in this book and surely will enjoy reading it.
Can’t wait for Raini & Maddox’s story
