Book four in the Secret Babies of the Wolves series and it is a riveting on the edge of your seat read! It is well written, emotionally deep, engaging, funny, and entertaining with twists and turns, suspense, drama, steamy scenes, secrets, and more. The characters are likeable and strong; their chemistry is instant and off the charts! Definitely recommended!

Wow! I absolutely loved Leo and Lark’s story. If you are looking for an exciting, fast-paced story, this is definitely the read for you. Lark is on the run from a very dangerous situation with a certain bear alpha, and when she runs into a bit of trouble upon arriving in Cavendish, she’s not sure if her chosen “new home” is any better than what she left. Running into the alpha of the local pack just may be the break she needs. With a chance meeting of an old childhood friend, it almost appears that life may be looking up. Leo’s wolf is giving him a hard time where it comes to the human that barreled into his town and life, constantly on his case about being their mate. But the human side of Leo isn’t ready to hear it. Which side will win?
Full of action, defiance, love and hate, and characters that will vie for your love and attention, this well written tale will have you on edge from start to finish.

Great story.
Really enjoyed reading this book. Lark was running away from her past when she literally ran into Leo her future in the park just as he was shifting from his wolf form. He was annoyed by her & afraid what he would do to her she told him she was half Shifter & human. Being the Alpha of his pack he gave her 3months to prove she deserved a place in his pack & by luck Chance a friend from being a child who had told her about shifters him being one when they little was living there & knew Leo. She was instantly attacked to Leo & there was sexual chemistry between them & as they got to know each other more their feeling became stronger him telling she was his mate but before they could become a happy family her past met up with her ready to end everything. She knew she had to tell Leo about her past & what she was running from even Chance told her the same but she was scared of him leaving her but when Garrett turned up at Leo’s office telling him that she was a human Leo went home telling her to leave without letting her explain what had actually happened. I was desperate for Leo to admit he lived her & get her back before it was too late that I couldn’t put the book down.

I am really starting to love reading shifter books. Lark pissed off an alpha bear and lied to a wolf alpha. On the run from the bear alpha Garrett, she ends up in this small town where Leo the wolf alpha lives. Coming across Leo on day after being turn down for a job Lark believes she might be able to have a life in the small town. Garrett is hot on her heels and she thinks since she lied to Leo about her being there that she will protect her until Garrett shows up and wants a word with Leo. Guess what, yes you guess it. Leo then realizes that Lark lied and send her away. Not realizing that he was sending her to the one person that wanted her dead. This book was off the chain. Ms Ray served this book up and tied it with a pretty bow.

Not the usual shifter romance. I’ve read a lot from this genre and I must say I enjoyed every second of this book. Without spoiling anything, I must say I’m glad that the ending was not what I expected. I like there way the male lead was introduced. There were so many ways that this could have gone after the first meeting but I’m so happy about the way everything plays out. Instalove, but slow burn at the same time. Well developed relationship between the leads. A little too much filler at times that made it seem like slow going in the middle but worth it to push through. I would love to see a story about Dean agnes Chance though.

I normally do not ever leave any type of negative review BUT… a human woman lies through her teeth to the alpha wolf shifter who rescues her from some unwanted advances coming from men from a local bar, allows her to live amongst his pack and lets her into his bed and his heart…now how is that NOT going to work out badly for her?? My apologies to the author, but why on earth did you give us an h that was such a twit? She made one bad decision after another, starting with being so curious about shifters that she infiltrates a den of bear shifters to gather as much information on them as she can. All without even trying to explain first that she is what, writing a book or maybe a college paper or even maybe trying to once again experience a bond such as she had had with a former childhood friend? It is never revealed just why she did such a thing and why she wanted all that information in the first place, (overly active curiosity?) but she managed to offend the alpha bear to the point that she had to run halfway across the country in fear for her life. That is when she makes another bad decision by lying to Leo, the alpha wolf that rescues her from the unwanted advances that originated in a local bar and for him to actually accept her into his pack without him knowing, or her telling him what she had done. Instead, she fabricated a story that was woven throughout with lies. Naturally, Garrett, the alpha bear tracks her down and proceeds to have an informative alpha to alpha discussion with Leo which results in Leo confronting Lark and then giving her the boot after she finally comes clean to him about all the lies she had told him. UhOh, now how is she going to tell Leo about the little wolf cub that is on the way? Is she going to survive being betrayed by one of the wolves who leads Garrett right to her front door? Does Leo forgive Lark and protect her and their unborn baby? Does Garrett get the answers he was looking for and is there any way to deflect or appease his anger towards Lark? All things to keep you turning the pages until the end. This is not a bad book in any way other than the fact that I did not like the h, Lark. Leo was great! Too bad fate gave him Lark as his mate.

This is really more of a 2 1/2 star book but I rounded it up to 3 stars based solely on having read other outstanding books that have been written by Ms. Ray.

This book is fantastic and I loved it! The story of Lark and Leo is one of love, lies and friendship. Lark is running from Garrett, a bear shifter from Utah when she ends up in Cavendish, where Leo is the Alpha of the wolf pack. When she first encounters Leo, he is in wolf form and she’s running from two guys she encountered in a bar that don’t have the best of intentions. She ends up telling him a little lie when he restrains her, making him think she’s a half wolf shifter that can’t shift. Soon, she’s running into her childhood friend, Chance, and he’s putting in a good word for her with Leo to allow her to stay and become part of the pack. She and Leo are getting closer as time goes by and soon Leo has to face the fact that Lark is his mate. Things are going well until the day Lark finds out she’s pregnant. Garrett shows up at Leo’s office spreading lies but also telling her truth, that she’s human. An argument ensues when Leo returns home and he tells her to leave town. The next day, though, he reconsiders after speaking to Chance and on the way home, gets a terrified call from Daphne, a fellow wolf and coworker. With Lark’s life in danger, Leo picks up Chance and his mate, Dean, heads back home and manages to resolve the situation without anyone getting hurt. From here, Lark and Leo manage to repair their relationship and move forward to their happily ever after.

Lark has been traveling looking for something, she believes it is to get a better understanding of shifter. The fates have been guiding her travels and learning to lead her to her true place.

Leo is struggling to find the balance he need to be the Alpha of the pack and Lawyer at his dad’s firm after his Dad was killed. Finding Lark help settle his wolf but logic is standing in his way.

Lark and Leo story is not a simple one, they fight to find who they are as individuals and what they are to each other. Trust is broken, hearts are crushed, jealousy almost end the story before it begins.
