All things must end.I learned that lesson the day my mother died.My step-mother was wicked. My step-sister, cruel. It was a relief when I revealed as an Omega because it was a chance to escape. But it wasn’t the end of my troubles. What happens to Omegas is a secret. And my troubles had just begun.“I can save you from one monster, Verity,” Lilly said when she accepted me into the program. “But I … one monster, Verity,” Lilly said when she accepted me into the program. “But I cannot save you from them all.”
True to her word, she saved me from my step-mother.
Then Woodrow entered my life.
And I realized he was the other monster Lilly had warned me about.
Publisher’s note: Omega Awakening is a prequel to the Controllers Series. It contains explicit scenes, triggers, manipulation/mind games, and dark themes.
Do yourself a favor and GET THIS BOOK! Trust me you have not read a grown up version of Cinderella until you’ve read THIS one! ~Goodreads reviewer ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Alpha that stopped at nothing to get what he wanted, and he REALLY wanted Verity. Cue smexy times. I highly recommend! ~Goodreads reviewer ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
As always L.V. Lanes delivered a poignant story with powerful characters. No apology Alphas and intelligent Omegas who bring out the Beast. Smokin hot ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I loved this story! Verity is a shy and quiet girl, and Woodrow is an Alpha who is really caring. This book has it all, drama, a little romance, steam, good plot, interesting characters and world-build. I really look forward to read the rest of the books!!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Evil Stepmother – Check, Evil Stepsister – Check, Loving father – Check, Handsome Prince – Hell Yes!
This is fun retelling of an old classic, right down to the blue ball gown. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommend for not only the romantics but the kinky ladies too.
So I found myself alittle torn as I was reading this book. It is a prequel to the authors controller series which I have not read. The author did a fantastic job of creating this world. I love the backstory and all that goes along with the creating of these dynamics. Verity is looking to escape and becoming an omega is her out. But being an omega gains you and alpha. Something that Verity was not expecting, and something that Woodrow would not leave to chance. I love me a good dark read and enjoy omegaverse but I think this one was missing the connection to Woodrow for me. This made me feel less invested in the story as I was reading. Towards the endish I started to get more of a feel for him but it took longer than I would like. I really enjoyed the character of Verity and Lily. I’ll definitely be checking out Lily’s book
As with each book in this Controller series, I’m thrilled with the growth of this author! To be honest, I normally stay away from prequel stories because most contain things I’ve already read and I already know what’s going to happen in the future so it’s makes it unenjoyable for me. That is not the case with this book! The readers get snippets of characters that we’ve read about but in new and exciting ways. We get to know them in a way we didn’t before. And then there’s a whole new sets of characters- and what phenomenal characters they are!
Even though the Omegaverse genre all shares the basic alpha/omega dynamic, the Controller series doesn’t follow blindly. Every H & h, or in this case each A & O, are very different in each book. This book is very different as well. Woodrow and Verity are in a class of their own. This story contains an age-gap romance. And yes, even though it was hard won, it does become a romance. Being an older reader myself, I do love older characters , silver foxes as the term has been coined. Woodrow is definitely a silver fox alpha in the way he’s described and the way he behaves. Verity is quite young, but certainly legal. The way her character is written leaves me rooting for her and wanting the best for her instead of cringing because of her age and antics. Verity had to grow up quickly in such a harsh family environment.
There is a very loose Cinderella-like development throughout the story, but not overbearing in the least.
Overall, this was a very enjoyable read and I’m anxious to see what adventure this author takes us readers on next.
