From Bestselling Author, Anna Edwards, comes a new Dark Romance that is part of BLAIRE’S WORLD. Anita Gray is proud to announce that Anna has written a BLAIRE original character!About OLIVER:My name is Oliver. I was a guard to Maksim Markov; king of the Russian underworld in Europe.I’ve seen things that would turn a cast iron stomach.I’ve stood by idly and watched endless acts of depravity.I’ve … stomach.
I’ve stood by idly and watched endless acts of depravity.
I’ve created hell on Earth in exchange for fortune.
I’ve maimed, tortured, taken, and I’ve killed.
My mind is dark, my inclinations perverse, and my soul is black.
There’s no salvation for me—until Amaya enters my life; a raven-haired beauty with blue eyes that sparkle like sapphires. She’s the epitome of what my life isn’t.
I’m not worthy of her, and she certainly deserves better than me, but that’s never stopped me before.
When I want something, I take it, and right now, I want her—and I won’t let anything or anyone prevent me from making her mine.

Oliver oh man what can I say of the man he just broke my heart. And Amaya that lady you just have to admire a woman who goes through so much and still has hope for love for hope and for freedom. I’m just loving every single story of Blaire’s World they are definitely in the dark side but there is still light to brighten the lives of this characters that have gone through so much.
Dark; Intense; Twisted – just a few words I’d use to describe Oliver by Anna Edwards.
Oliver vowed 20 years ago to get revenge against the man who tore his family apart, now is the time. He’s no longer the frightened, weak little boy that was taken. He’s a monster, who believes his heart doesn’t beat anymore.
Amaya, given to the Pakhan to repay her father’s ultimate betrayal. She knows there is no way out of this. Step into line and behave, or fight and be punished. She has to decide.
Both brought into the Russian Bratva against their will. Will they fight together for a better life?
I’ve read quite a few of Anna Edwards’ books, I have to say that Oliver is among my favourites, having devoured it in less than a day. This is one that is not to be missed.
Wow Oliver and Amaya’s story is one filled with heartbreak, betrayal, abuse, and vengeance. The characters are intriguing, engaging, and well developed. This is a twisted, dark story that you won’t soon forget. I highly recommend it.
At the age of 8, Oliver sees his parents murdered and is taken to be raised by the Russian Pakhan. For the next 20 years, Oliver is a soldier and a killer biding his time to exact his revenge for his parents death. Amaya is given as a gift, by her father, to the Pakhan Ivanav. Oliver has closed his heart and believes himself a monster, but Amaya can see that Oliver’s heart is hidden and needs to be uncovered and she is the person to help him. Time is running out for Amaya to be used and abused as a sex slave. Will Oliver be able to “wake up” in time? Loved the writing of this author and would like to read more of her books.
Wow, I am blown away how dark this book was.. I loved it from the beginning to end.. Was not able.to put it down that how good it wad.. Must read
Must read dark and twisted. Can they make it together.
Exactly as Sheena’s review “This is a dark, gripping read and a worthy addition to this collection set in Blaire’s world….the plot is suspenseful and the characters are complex and damaged products of the Bratva society where there is no room for compassion.
The narrative is provided by the two main characters, providing a view into their inner thoughts and conflicts.. Amaya is a strong young woman but still a pawn in the machinations of her father and the other men she encounters in the violent world of cartels and mafia. Oliver comes across as cold-hearted having survived a brutal childhood and has fought his way up to be the second in command.. he is ruthless and has no room for emotional ties…” MissPetiteBrunette’s review “Oliver is another standalone from the Blaire’s World Series. Taken as a child and trained to be a mercurial soldier in the Russian mob. When he meets one of his boss’s slaves…Oliver is a fast read but that doesn’t diminish the dark and dirty storyline. Told in dual POV” and other reviewers have already mentioned about this book – I reinforce their reviews. It’s dark, heart wrenching, intense and morbid. It’s also a stand alone as well from Blaire’s World. It does date five years post Blaire’s first story. Everything I state here is already listed in the other reviews so what I write will be repetitive. Short read. You connect to the characters. It did take me a moment to remember who Oliver is from Blaire’s first story. He is mentioned briefly as an understated character in Blaire’s story. However the dual POV make this story very strong and a great read. Yes there is descriptive gore so it yields the morbid aspect and feel to the story. I did like the loss of hope versus feeling hope aspect. It’s a gradual wave. Amaya’s father is a b*stard and uses his daughter for his own gain. Well karma is a b*tch and she likes her just desserts. However his loss leaves our girl lost as well … until Oliver. So much to say that I don’t want to give up spoilers so just skip over the “dark mob stuff” and read their story. It does have a HEA.
Oliver is another standalone from the Blaire’s World Series. Taken as a child and trained to be a mercurial soldier in the Russian mob. When he meets one of his boss’s slaves can he stay the soldier he was trained to be or will he start to turn into the man he truly is at heart? Oliver is a fast read but that doesn’t diminish the dark and dirty storyline. I have been loving this series and can’t wait to read more. Told in dual POV
I ventured into Oliver having never read anything about Blaire, but it read as a standalone. Oliver is such a tortured character and I truly enjoyed seeing him being transformed by Amaya. She was so unexpected to him and exactly what he needed. Amaya was not innocent by any means, but her innocence was shattered by the life she was given, not by the life she chose. This is a dark romance with triggers, but I am a fan of dark romances so I was not bothered by any of those aspects of this book. I found myself wanting more interaction between Oliver and Amaya and delivery at the height of the book, if that makes sense. There was definitely build up between them and what happens between them and I wanted just a touch more before the epilogue, but overall Anna Edwards did an amazing job. I am a fan of her work and recommend all of her books!
Oliver finds a chance to save his soul the moment he sees Amaya. I loved their story – from heartbreak and betrayal to dark depravity to a love they both need, Oliver and Amaya’s story was full of pain and angst. I loved how this book packed a mighty punch to the psyche! Oliver’s ruthlessness only made him that much stronger with Amaya to give him something to want, to need. Theirs was a darkly beautiful story.
Wow. This was a tough story to read because you are dealing with the Russia Mafia, so cruel. I was not sure if Oliver or Amaya or any of the other girls would ever make it out alive. There is a lot of killings and rough sex, but in the end it is an HEA.
Anna Edwards has another of the Blaire’s World books, this time with Oliver.
Oliver has spent the last 20 years of his life, the majority of it in fact, in the Ivanov Bratva. He’s now up to being 2nd in command, only behind Victor, the Pakhan.
Amaya has been raised in a cartel. She’s nothing but a commodity to her father, one that he’s now trading to Victor, only neither Amaya or her dad knew it was going to be forever. Victor did though.
Anna Edwards puts her characters through some real heck. There are a lot of terrible things that happen going on here, and Anna Edwards really balanced everything quite well. I really like Amaya’s fire and strength and the way that she does everything she can to take care of people she cares about. Oliver is so broken, but he’s a better man than he thinks he is.
Great Book.
Wow this is a non-stop action-packed story from the very first lines. It really is dark with some very difficult subject matter, definitely not for the faint of heart. It’s heroine is basically pimped out by her father and becomes the sex-slave of a very depraved and unpleasant man, Pakhan of the russian mafia.
Despite it’s novella length, I did feel a connection to the characters. They had depth and not only did I care about them but I felt their emotion too. The romance part felt perhaps a tad underdeveloped, whilst it was both believable in terms of time frame, chemistry and time spent together, it felt rushed. This was entirely down to the length of the story though. It was impossible to get as much action, darkness and romance as I’d want from this story in a novella.
This is an excellent addition to the Blaire’s World series, it is well written, engaging, easy to read, has good characters and DARK!
Oliver… Oliver…. Oliver…. sweet baby Jesus I need me an Oliver in my life. He is everything bad and everything to fear but at the same time you know when he loves he loves hard and is willing to do whatever to whomever to protect what is his. Yes he has killed, tortured, and done what ever he deemed necessary for his job but when he meets Amaya things change for him and he is ready to finally give his cold heart over to this gorgeous woman who makes his heart beat once again when it was dead.
Amaya is sunshine and purity and she takes one look at Oliver and knows she wants him but she also knows to be afraid of him. When she opens up to him and they finally get together it is explosive and and very very dark!
Be warned this is a dark book, with dark elements. It may have triggers for some. If you don’t think you can handle that this may not be for you. Otherwise, keep on, keeping on, because this series of Blair’s World books are so freaking good.
Oliver was put into this life at a very young age, and has known little else. He follows orders, and is the best at it when he does. There’s no middle ground when it comes to Oliver. His loyalty is to his boss and no one else. Until Amaya shows up.
Amaya, was nothing more than a bargaining chip for her father, and when he needed her he pawned her to his best advantages. Until it was his last. Now in the holding of Oliver’s boss, she sees it as just another prison.
This is another perfect book for the Blair’s World. It weaves with the characters, and plays so well, that it feels streamlined, and as if one author is writing instead of many. I love how two people can meet in a world of darkness, and find something that fills a void in themselves. These two were built for each other. No doubt. And this is one wicked book. Loved it.
Oliver and Amaya’s story is heartbreaking, from the moment Amaya is given away by someone she loves and trusts into the cold and cruel Bratva until she finds hope in Oliver.
This story is full of violence and hate, with copious amounts of degradation and sexual abuse only to be topped with hope and love
Oliver and Amaya were surrounded by such harsh realities everyday it is no wonder Oliver seemed like such a cynical character when I started reading this one. Amaya was a very strong heroine who faced every day with spirit even though it seemed to be an endless barrage of adversity heaped upon her. Not to often do I actually crave for a character to die in a painful way but the Pakhan Ivanov more than earned my ire. It took me a little while to warm to Oliver since he didn’t stop Amaya’s suffering soon enough for me but he more than delivered to my expectations by the end. This is well written but a dark romance so it does have some harsh scenes that may not be for everyone.
If you like your romance dark and brutal this one will appeal to you.
Oliver, since the age of 8, has done what he needs to do to survive including turning into the cold monsters he hates until the feisty Amaya turns his world upside down.
I loved Oliver by Anna Edwards, darker than her usual but not any less amazing! Oliver is a monster, dead inside. They made him that way. Amaya is not a sweet innocent, but in the Russian cartel women are nothing. Used anyway the men want. I really liked this Blaire’s world story. Grab it to read.
I would have to say this book was my FAVE of Blaire’s World. I read this baby from cover to cover. It is such a sensational story between Oliver and Amaya. Prepare for some emotional turmoil; it dropped my throat to the pit of my stomach more than once. A necessary read!
