But always the memory of Elizabeth is there … and their paths are destined to cross again and again.

A great historical learning. Enjoyed it very much. If there is a will there is a way
Don’t know how accurate the history is, but as soon as I finished, I looked for other books by the author.
I really enjoyed this book. A great story with interesting characters that takes place during the American Revolution. Love finds a way to survive through the years. I loved the ending.
Very good read and lots of unusual twists on the historical settings that are not often depicted although they are true to reality at the time. I am reading the next books at this. Keeps you looking forward to what happens next.
I had to give up on this about 1/4 of the way through. I am Irish by heritage and enjoy historical novels about ships and the sea, I found the characters unrealistic, the actions stereotyped and the romance/sex scenes overly “hot”. Not my cup of grog.
Author covers the history and characters of the time well in a good story.
loved this historically based story – loved the depth of characters really good read
I liked the story even if the author took some liberties with history and some historical figures. Main character Harry has a lot of difficulties to overcome but went on to serve faithfully and heroic in America’s fledgling navy. He finally rescued the love of his life but paid a price for it.
Great tie-in to history and characters of the time of the story!
Terrific sea action. great characters including real ones like John Paul Jones presented sympathetically, a great close to history lesson, should be in every high school library
Excellent.
Historical fiction good story
I am very patriotic and love reading books relating to the flag or America.
Excellent historic fiction.
In 1769, Harry McGann’s life changes when he meets Elizabeth. Before meeting her, he was set about what he was to do in his life. But after meeting her, he is on the run from the law.
The story had an authentic feel to it and I particularly loved the way the characters were etched and their interactions. Enjoyable read.
