The epic finale of the Becker Brothers series. Each book can be read as a stand-alone.It’s a man’s world. When I declared sports medicine as my major and every man narrowed their eyes, that saying proved true. It was true when my ex-husband decided I’d give up my career when our daughter was born. And again when I divorced the Chief of Police in our small town, and he made it painfully clear that … made it painfully clear that I could leave him, but I would never be free.
Landing the job as the new athletic trainer for Stratford’s high school team is my chance to start over. And walking into a male-dominated sport and staff, I’m ready for the challenge.
I’m not ready for Jordan Becker.
The head coach of our championship winning team is a Herculean force of nature–as severe as he is determined. His icy blue eyes and permanent scowl drive the women in this town mad, and his quiet power and undeniable command conjure respect from every man.
When I join his team, I expect the doubt and anticipate the fight from him. And I get them both.
I don’t expect to form a friendship.
And I never expect to fall for him.
My breath catches when those cool eyes fall to my lips. My body comes alive when his is near. And as those lines begin to blur, every warning bell sounds.
My job, my reputation are on the line.
And my ex is around every corner, waiting to remind me of his power.
It’s a man’s world, and if I want to survive, I can never fall in love with Jordan Becker.
Even if he falls in love with me first.

I have fallen in love with the Becker family. I was so excited to get to know Jordan. He was the strong silent type and I needed more of him. We got it!! I loved seeing inside his head and world. The deep feelings he felt because he was adopted and different on the outside from his brothers.
Sydney was awesome. The life she led with Randy was awful and I am so glad she finally got away from him and found a fantastic man. I felt their connection and chemistry.
I enjoyed catching up with the family and wrapping up the mystery to John’s death.
I received an ARC for my honest review.
OMG What a ride Old Fashioned was! Kandi Steiner delivers a huge punch with this story as we navigate through Jordan and Sydney was amazing. Their pull to each other. The way that they are interconnected. It was absolutely stunning. Between the depth of their connection and their sizzling passion, there was magic between them. I love the drive of Jordan, not just with Sydney and winning her over, but with his family and finding answers. Then you add Sydney and how she is involved with it all. When things come to a head, they are all so strong as they push through it. The answers that the Beckers get. How things affect them and everyone else. And oh how those answers blow your mind. I loved the intertwined suspense aspect that was woven into this story and I loved how it all played out in the long run. Steiner has gold with this series and I highly recommend it!
This book is beautiful! It’s so different from the others in this series and yet so similar. And I love every piece of it.
With Old Fashioned, Kandi Steiner again proved her ability to create easy to love and adorable characters. You really feel them and for them. You want to hug them, kiss them, hold them and carry them through the storm. But they are more than capable to fight the storm on their own, together.
Even though I loved every piece of it, I had some minor issues here and there with some facts I question. But I guess that’s just me who tries to look too hard behind the curtain. 😉
Nevertheless, I can truthfully say that Old Fashioned is a great conclusion to the Becker Brothers series and I’m kind of sad that we have to leave these gorgeous brothers and their amazing women here.
The final standalone in the Becker Brothers series – it’s the perfect ending to a fantastic series!
I am in love…with 4 men. You see, Kandi Steiner has written a series about the Becker Brothers who live in a small whiskey town in Tennessee and I’m not sure that I can pick just one to be my favorite book boyfriend. The series started with On The Rocks, the story of Ruby Grace and the bad boy Noah. The second book, Neat, is the story of Mallory and the nerdy brother Logan. The musically talented little brother, Michael, and his girl Kylie share their story in Manhattan. Grab your Tennessee sipping whiskey and let’s chat about Old Fashioned by Kandi Steiner (seriously, grab your whiskey but don’t shoot it…sip it).
And that leaves, the oldest brother…Jordan, the athlete. Jordan has loved football since the very first day he touched one. His dream was never to go to the NFL instead, he wanted to coach, to help shape the lives of young players. He has done just that. Jordan is the head coach for the high school in his home town and they have won two state championships in a row. Jordan wears the weight of responsibility heavily on his chest. The responsibility of being in the oldest. The responsibility to keep winning. But there is someone new adding to his anxiety…a very attractive woman who has been added to his coaching staff. Jordan has watched his three younger brothers find their woman but Jordan felt that he was destined to be alone until the newly-divorced Syndey Clark walked into his locker room.
After putting her career on hold to be a mother and wife, Sydney was finally going to be an athletic trainer. It was a dream come true and a new beginning for Syndey and her daughter, Paige. She wasn’t looking for a relationship. She was looking for a chance at freedom…a fresh start. You can’t help but notice Jordan Becker. The man is “hotter than a Texas parking lot in the summer” and puts off energy that Sydney can feel to her core.
Words cannot express how much I love this book! Kandi Steiner is a top-notch storyteller who had me hooked from the first chapter of On the Rocks. Each of these books is a stand-alone in theory. Yes, you could read the love-story and walk away but you would be walking away from the back story that is woven throughout each one. We learned in book one that John Becker died in a fire at the distillery. His death is investigated by the family in each of the following books so you can’t read them out of order or skip a book because you will miss some very important details. Seriously, how can one family have four equally hot men? Don’t believe me? Read the series and let me know what you think.
My rating for Old Fashioned by Kandi Steiner….5 out or 5 propellors! And for the series as a whole…5 out of 5 propellors!
This fourth and final installment of the Becker brothers was all that I could have wanted and more. While there was a whole lot of drama with the other brothers and how they found their mates, everything between Jordan and Sydney and their tale was much more organic. It was a daunting feat for Steiner to bring everyone together, tell Jordan’s story, AND solve a mystery. And yet she did it.
What’s more, even though this was Jordan’s story, I feel like we got so much of Sydney and Paige (SIDE NOTE: I loathe Randy!). It was wonderful that way Paige was weaved into Jordan and the Becker’s lives. Sydney’s strength, even when she thought she didn’t have any, was pretty amazing.
And Jordan. In the first few books, I never got a real feel for him except for being stoic and in love with football. What became readily apparent was that he was the glue in that family after his dad passed. He was the voice of reason for his brothers, and he was a man of honor. Off and on the field. And everything that he brought to the game, he amplified it in his pursuit of Sydney. He not only loved an Old Fashion, but he was an old fashioned gentleman to the hilt.
While some aspects of the story were not a surprise, everything felt like it unfolded the way it was supposed to. The Becker men and their respective partners were the epitome of grace under pressure, even if they didn’t feel it. They closed out this chapter of their lives, and we can all continue on knowing that the Beckers are going to be okay. It was a lovely goodbye to the series!
Brand new small town, sports romance from Kandi Steiner! Read for FREE in Kindle Unlimited. Can be read as a standalone, or you can binge all four brothers right now!
Sydney and Jordan are everything! I love the single mom story line and for Sydney, even if she wasn’t looking for it, Jordan is exactly what she needed. She’s finally able to start over and provide her daughter with a stable home but the sparks fly when she starts working with Jordan and it was only a matter of time before the sparks ignited. It was explosive. I couldn’t put this down and I am actually sad to see the series end but it ends just the way it should.
Old Fashioned is the fourth and final book in the Becker Brothers series. It can be read as a standalone but there is a common thread that weaves its way through all of the books as the Becker brothers try to figure out what really happened to their father and in this story they will finally have all of their questions answered.
This book is all about Jordan and Sydney. I thoroughly enjoyed these two together along with Sydney’s daughter, Paige. They all seemed to melt together so easily as though their hearts just knew. Each of them have their own baggage from the past to open and share, but that trust is what pulled them together.
This story takes us for a trip through heartwarming moments, lies unfolding and around to healing hearts. I loved every word and I hope you take a chance on these amazing Becker Brothers. You won’t be disappointed!
Old Fashioned is the perfect conclusion to the Becker Brothers series by Kandi Steiner. Jordan is the oldest Becker brother. He has sat back quietly watching his brothers find love, never believing that he’ll find it for himself until Sydney is hired to work beside him as they try to bring the local HS football team to another championship.
This story has it all. It’s a sweet and sexy romance, with a touch of suspense and ALL. THE. FEELS. I have loved the Becker brothers and this family and I’m a little sad to see this series end.
This is the final book in the Becker Brothers series and Kandi Steiner gave a fantastic send off to the characters we’ve grown to love. I was so excited for Jordan’s story since he was first introduced to us as the oldest of the Becker brothers. The silent protector, a man of few words but who loved his family something fierce. I laughed, swooned and fell in love right along with these amazing characters. There are so many other secrets that come to light in this book that gave it a lot of extras twists and turns. And as always I loved seeing all the other Becker brothers and their other halves. I will definitely miss this series and all of the Becker brothers but what a perfect way to say goodbye.
I always say when Kandi publishes a new book that it is my favorite. But oh my lawd! I loved this story. I have a favorite Becker brother and watch out world. His story will have you on your knees! I could not put it down and I was excited.
Sydney and Jordan are IT for each other. There was a time things did not turn out the way I wanted, but it all fell into place. Old Fashioned is the last book in the Becker Brothers series. Kandi definitely saved the best for last <3
An amazing conclusion to this fantastic series. Kandi Steiner saved the best for last. I absolutely was intrigued by Jordan and loved his story. Jordan and Sydney’s chemistry is electric. You can’t help but fall in love with them and Paige and how the mystery finally is solved, connecting all the dots. This one will definitely put you through all the feels. A definite must read.
A fabulous ending to an amazing series!!! I have loved the Becker boys and their significant others and of course Mum and Betty. Jordan’s story did not disappoint! I loved how Jordan was the quiet one but fiercely protective of those he loves, especially Sydney and Paige. We also finally learned the missing piece of the puzzle with the devastating fire in the first book. I was so happy with this ending!!
An emotional story causing a few tears throughout so have the tissues ready! Loved it SO much! Thank you Kandi!
Old Fashioned is book four in the Becker Brothers series. Each book covers a different brother so it can be read as a standalone. Jordan was adopted by the Beckers but they never treated him any different. The Becker family is big on family and the four brothers have a great relationship. Jordan is a high school football coach. He’s great at his job. he’s sweet and strong. Sydney is starting over after leaving her ex. She starts working as the athletic trainer for Jordan’s football team. Sydney is a strong character. She has been through a lot. Jordan and Sydney have a connection but the last thing Sydney wants in a relationship with Jordan. I’m sad to see the Becker Brothers series come to an end but this one was a good one to end it with.
Jordan and Sydney’s story was fantastic, it was simply perfect, this is the way a series should end and what a ride it was, I absolutely love them all, but this one got a lot of information I needed to get and was driving me insane throughout them all. An absolutely recommended series and wish for the to be on audiobook soon to binge them all over again.
The last of the Becker brothers stories is here. Jordan Becker is adopted but loved as one of the own, but Jordan has always wondered where he came from. He’s the quiet brooding type, but once Sydney walks into his life he becomes the protective loving man the is deep down. Sydney is the new team trainer and a distraction to the teen boys….and to Jordan. This story is everything! I loved Jordan’s transformation and this love story. We also get the truth about The Becker brothers dad and his untimely death. Kandi knocked another one out of the park. The perfect conclusion to this series!
‘Old Fashioned’ by Kandi Steiner is the final instalment in an absolutely incredible series about the Becker Brothers. I have been dying to read Jordan’s story, but also do not want to say goodbye to these incredible characters!
This book centres around Jordan the eldest of the Becker boys, and the most grounded of them all. But when Sydney is hired to work alongside him, she gets completely under his skin and he is unable to stop the sparks from flying.
Sydney is a survivor, she has come out of a domestically violent relationship, and she is finally focusing on herself for once. She has secured the job of her dreams as an Athletic Trainer after being forced to be a stay at home mother, and she is a very empowering character who is incredibly likeable. She is an amazing mother to her daughter, strong for what she has overcome and her romance with Jordan is the cutest.
This book shows Jordan’s perspective and how he has always been the one trying to keep the family together. He is also the one to crack the code on the mystery of the distillery fire, prepare to be stunned!
Absolutely amazing book that had me in full on tears with some really sweet and emotional moments (I do not think I will ever be able to listen to Eric Clapton’s ‘Wonderful Tonight’ without thinking about Mr and Mrs Becker!)
The perfect read for all romance lovers and people who love getting embroiled in a well-written and utterly addictive series. I’m devastated it’s over. Time to re-read!
Old Fashioned by Kandi Steiner is a contemporary, small town, workplace, sports romance told in first person, dual POV. It is a standalone and the fourth and final book in the Becker brothers series. Book one is On the Rocks, book two is Neat, and book three is Manhattan. While each book is a complete story featuring a different Becker brother finding love, there’s a mystery thread that runs throughout the series and is resolved in this book. So I’d definitely recommend reading all the books in order. I promise, you’ll be glad that you did, because the entire series is fantastic!
After leading the Stratford High Wild Cats to victory in two state championships, head football coach, Jordan Becker, feels the pressure to do it all again. So when a gorgeous woman is hired as the new athletic trainer, he’s less than thrilled. The last thing he and his players need is a distraction – and Sydney is definitely distracting. Jordan doesn’t do relationships, but he’s drawn to her in a way he’s never experienced before. Maybe she’s exactly what he needs.
After years as a stay-at-home mom, and after being painted as the villain in her recent divorce from the local police chief, Sydney Clark is ready for a fresh start. When she gets hired as the athletic trainer for Stratford High’s football team, she expects it will come with challenges. Sydney knows she must prove herself in this male-dominated sports industry, and she’s ready. But she never expects to feel such an attraction to her boss, Jordan. Sydney wants to be respected for her work, so she needs to keep her distance. Will she be able to stay away?
I loved this story! Jordan and Sydney were both well-developed, relatable, and loveable characters. Their chemistry was palpable, and they were well-matched as a couple. I also loved the secondary characters of Sydney’s daughter, Paige, and the Becker brothers with their significant others. It’s always fun to see familiar characters return for some page time. With a little bit of angst and some twists along the way, Jordan and Sydney find their happy ending, and we finally get answers to the mystery surrounding John Becker’s death. This was the perfect conclusion to a great series. Highly recommended!
*** I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC. ***
Kandi Steiner ended this series with a bang. Jordan was as alpha and swoon-worthy as I expected him to be. The sexy, quiet, and alpha football coach did not disappoint. I’ve never been a fan of football but even this book got me interested in football. Kandi wrote this wonderfully to the point where I felt like I was on the field with them.
Sydney Clark was a pleasant surprise. She was the first female trainer on an all male football team and certainly made an impression. Her story was interesting. The chemistry between Jordan and Sydney sky rocketed off the pages.
The mystery on Jordan Becker’s father that was a topic of discussion in the previous books? Yes, you definitely get those answers and with some excellent twists. You can read as a standalone book, however I believe it would be best read as a series. I loved all of these brothers. They were all swoon-worthy in their own respective ways.
