The epic finale of the Becker Brothers series. Each book can be read as a stand-alone.It’s a man’s world. When I declared sports medicine as my major and every man narrowed their eyes, that saying proved true. It was true when my ex-husband decided I’d give up my career when our daughter was born. And again when I divorced the Chief of Police in our small town, and he made it painfully clear that … made it painfully clear that I could leave him, but I would never be free.
Landing the job as the new athletic trainer for Stratford’s high school team is my chance to start over. And walking into a male-dominated sport and staff, I’m ready for the challenge.
I’m not ready for Jordan Becker.
The head coach of our championship winning team is a Herculean force of nature–as severe as he is determined. His icy blue eyes and permanent scowl drive the women in this town mad, and his quiet power and undeniable command conjure respect from every man.
When I join his team, I expect the doubt and anticipate the fight from him. And I get them both.
I don’t expect to form a friendship.
And I never expect to fall for him.
My breath catches when those cool eyes fall to my lips. My body comes alive when his is near. And as those lines begin to blur, every warning bell sounds.
My job, my reputation are on the line.
And my ex is around every corner, waiting to remind me of his power.
It’s a man’s world, and if I want to survive, I can never fall in love with Jordan Becker.
Even if he falls in love with me first.

I was sure that Jordan’s story would mark me and move me and Kandi Steiner proved that I was right creating, in my opinion, the best book in the series, closing the journey of these brothers with a flourish in search of love and the resolution of their father ‘s death.
Jordan is fantastic with his professional, correct, gentle, silent manner and good and old fashioned vibes. It was wonderful to follow his struggle in search of the truth and his struggle for the woman he loves.
And what about Sydney? A strong woman, a dedicated mother who, after suffering a difficult divorce, decides to go back to work and finds the affection and attention she didn’t even think she needed in Jordan’s arms.
Sydney’s daughter Paige is another sensational character in the story. First because she is a sweet and very cute child and second because she raises the question about girls in American football in a very calm and natural way.
At first, the relationship between Jordan and Sydney is not the easiest, he is very reluctant to let a beautiful woman take care of his team of boys full of hormones. Gradually, they really get to know each other and love explodes. However, not everything will be so easy for this sweet couple.
The mysterious ex-wife of the city’s hero police officer keeps strong secrets and along with the mystery about the death of John Becker will move this plot with a lot of drama, love, tension and a beautiful ending. I just missed Kylie’s father who was a very important figure in the past book and the writer gave the idea that mother Becker would look after him.
5/5 stars
It’s here. It’s here. It’s. FREAKIN. Here!!
The final Becker brother’s story is here. This series has been so good, and Jordan’s story only made it better!
Jordan and Sydney
Jordan is such a good, sweet, and caring person. And Sydney is a strong and determined mother. They are great as individuals, but so wonderful together
Their story is not perfect, no love ever is. But they are perfect together (plus Paige)
Kandi Steiner did a phenomenal job writing each story within this series. Each book drew me in and help me captive throughout. The little town is so vivid in my mind and I’m sad to say goodbye to all of the incredible characters. Old Fashioned not only wrapped up the Becker brother’s love stories, but the mystery that has been a focus throughout the series, and overall was a great way to end this wonderful series!
Ahhh! This book! It was amazing and everything I could have hoped for. I fell in love with the Becker brothers in the 1st book and have loved each one since. The drama, the love, the mystery. Not only do we get Jordan’s story, but we finally find out what happened to their father. So many secrets and surprises are finally revealed! I loved Jordan and Sydney together. They just mesh so well. Throw in her football loving daughter and it’s the perfect little family. I’m so sad to see the series end. I really loved reading about each of the brothers and how they grew. Kandi did a phenomenal job with this series.
I’m so not ready for this series to end! I have loved every book, every brother’s story has been amazing! I definitely think Kandi saved the best for last! She gave us an epic conclusion to the mystery we’ve gotten pieces of throughout the series. This book gave me all the feels and I’m so sad to say goodbye to the Beckers! I so wish Kandi could write another Becker story…maybe a long lost brother or cousin…It’s just that good of a series!
I’ve been waiting for Jordan Becker and his story and Kandi Steiner did not disappoint! This was definitely my favorite of the series. 4.5
First, Old Fashioneds are a favorite drink of mine, so I was already going in on a high note.
Second, Jordan is the oldest in a larger family; the protector, if you will (and so am I; see…he and I are so much alike lol).
Third, he’s the type of character that will only speak when he has something to say. His words and thoughts are important and never empty. He loves with his whole heart, but had given up on finding a love for himself. He is a football coach prodigy and that’s where he puts his focus. But he loves his family and his mother fiercely. He’s a family man, without the family. He’s the type of man you want fighting in your corner.
“If there’s one thing I’ve learned from watching my mother endure what she has, it’s that women are a hell of a lot stronger than anyone gives them credit for.”
Now, if that doesn’t make you swoon and want this man for yourself, I don’t know what will. He’s a mans man, but can appreciate the strength of a woman.
I fell in love with Jordan before in previous books with his silent demeanor, but this book brought it all together. Seeing Jordan interact with his family and his team makes you fall in love with the character and the man. He became real to me. His actions, his words and his thoughts were so on point with the man we get to know. He did not waiver from the man he is, but he did grow and learn from those around him.
And then when Sydney stepped into his world, it was entertaining to see them fight their emotions and the little banter they had. Sydney may have had a tougher start to the beginning of their story, but she was tough as nails and I loved watching her character arc.
But I can’t talk about their story without mentioning miss Paige. She is the spitfire daughter of Sydney and boy does she really connect all the characters. She is the character that surprised me the most. She had fight and love and focus like no other 9 year old girl around. I ADORED that girl and her fight to become what she wanted. She was not going to take no for answer about anything! A little powerhouse in the making.
This story had wonderful characters and was truly the perfect ending to the Becker Brothers series. Although I’m sad to see this family of amazing brothers come to end, I enjoyed going on their journeys to finding love and finding out the truth of a big family tragedy. That bit of mystery was tangled with Jordan’s story in a seamless manner. It helped connect so many loose ends that we wanted answered. And the extra answers we got? Superbly intertwined with Jordan’s story and who he is.
I’m sad to see this series end, but I’m glad that Jordan was the final one to wrap it up. Old Fashioned was a well paced story that centered around a small town family and a mystery that will finally get answered. The characters are just plain amazing and I love how everyone fits in with the Beckers. This final book comes with the ultimate climax and ending you’ve been waiting for, but it will be well worth the journey. God Bless the Beckers!
“If there’s anything this family has taught me, it’s that love is the most important thing, and it’s worth fighting for-no matter the risk.”
Old Fashioned by Kandi Steiner was the perfect wrap up for the Becker Brothers series. Although this was the last book of theirs and I’m an emotional mess (seriously balling like a baby), I’m also so excited that I finished it.
It’s not possible to not love the Becker boys. They exude passion, determination and above all else they’ll charm the pants off anyone.
With the most sincerity this has been one of the best series I’ve read. All the feels, all the reactions and above all else my full undivided attention.
I found more often than not this book caught my breath and sent my heart soaring. Jordan and Sydney are such an amazing duo to read whether it’s good, bad, crazy or funny I spent every second loving them so hard.
I highly recommend this and suggest for those who haven’t read theses novels that you prepare for a binge read starting with On The Rocks.
The eldest Becker brother, Jordan, is in for the ride of his life when his team’s new athletic trainer comes on board. He just knows she’s going to be a big distraction to his team full of teenage boys, and he tells her so. Yep, open mouth and insert foot. Oops. Jordan isn’t really a sexist jerk, though, and Sydney soon sees it and the attraction between them can’t help but be consummated. Can they have a relationship, though, when he’s her boss and her ex, the police chief, is insanely possessive of her? And when Jordan finds out her ex has ties to the accident that claimed his father’s life? Will that be an obstacle, too, to their developing relationship?
Damn…Kandi truly saved the best for last when she decided to do Jordan’s story last. It’s an emotional doozy! I’ve always liked him in the past 3 books, but had no idea just how impactful his story would turn out to be. He and Sydney’s chemistry is so quietly on fire, and I felt for him as she asked him to keep it on the low. But I absolutely loved how she finally stepped up, and I loved how beautiful these two are together. And those answers the brothers have been searching for the entire series? THEY’RE HERE!! In Jordan’s story. FINALLY!!! This is the very best of the Becker Brothers series and Jordan and Sydney are one swoon worthy couple.
Old Fashioned by Kandi Steiner is the last book in the Becker Brothers series and I loved it! This small town sports romance had it all. Jordan and Sydney were very likeable and I just wanted to cheer them on. Sydney is a single-mom who was strong and very determined. Jordan was caring and devoted. He loved his family, even as his passion was football. When Sydney is hired the new athletic trainer, he is not sure what to make of her and yet, their chemistry is undeniable. But Sydney carries the demons from her past, can Jordan be the man she and her daughter need?
Old Fashioned by Kandi Steiner was a perfect ending for this series, even as it is hard to say goodbye to these characters. The story was emotional, heartfelt and left me smiling.
Read and reviewed for Sultry Siren Book Blog.
Happy reading!
The Becker Brothers series comes to an end with the oldest brother Jordan’s book.
I sometimes find that final books in a series end up disappointing me because they can’t live up to the hype/excitement that’s been building as I read all the books. However, I am glad to say that is not the case with Old Fashioned.
Sydney and Jordan were such wonderful characters with a strong connection. I also really liked Sydney’s daughter Paige. The bond she formed with Jordan was so sweet, too.
The story kept me entertained and gave answers to questions that had been brought up throughout the series.
With this book and the series as a whole, Kandi Steiner had created amazing characters and a wonderful world to jump into. I am sad we have reached the end, but loved the journey.
Thank you to the author for providing an ARC for an honest review.
This is the much anticipated fourth and final book in the Becker Brothers series. Kandi Steiner put her heart and soul into Jordan’s story, she saved the best for last and she did not hold anything back. Technically this is a standalone, but my ocd will not allow me to read just one book of the series I wanted to get the full Becker family effect.
In the previous books Jordan has been the quietest of the bothers, he was adopted by the Becker’s when he was a baby. But that has never made any difference to the brothers. Jordan is the High School football coach and he is kind, caring, and oh so swoony. Sydney was just hired as new athletic trainer, the only female on staff. She is independent, headstrong, and she has just come out of a terrible divorce, and she is a single Mom. The sparks fly immediately between Jordan and Sydney and they do not stop. The star of the book is Sydney’s 9-year-old daughter Paige, she is obsessed with football and she has become attached to Jordan.
Because this is the last book in the series and there has been lots of unanswered questions and mystery in the previous books, we are finally given all the answers.
This is without a doubt my favorite book of the series. From start to finish it captured my attention. Kandi gifted us with an incredible epilogue that made my heart sigh!!
I’m sad. So sad this amazing ride is over. I have so many mixed feelings about this—but for all the right reasons. First, Kandi Steiner is a BEAST at writing. She took me on a epic journey with these amazing brothers that will forever be ingrained in my heart and mind. This book gave me all the feels. I loved Jordan and Sydney’s story. Thought it was beautifully executed. I also love how Kandi created this visual landscape that made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside—loved the family dynamic and secondary characters. WTG Kandi—you knocked this one out of the park.

Old Fashioned
Becker Brothers Book 4
By Kandi Steiner
5 Stars
What an amazing story to end a marvelous series!! Had me glued to every page! Absolute perfection!!
“But it was so, so worth it. If there’s anything this family has taught me, it’s that love is the most important thing, and it’s worth fighting for — no matter the risk.”
“In the darkest hour of my life, I’d somehow managed to find love. I marveled at how ironic this life could be.”
Highly recommend!!
An amazing conclusion to a great series about 4 brothers who each discovered love. A 4 star
Jordan is the football coach at the high school, the oldest of the family. A new trainer shows up for the team, surprise it’s a woman and one he’s attracted too. His father died a decade ago in a fire and it was never really solved. Will they find the truth?
It was an highly entertaining and full of suspense story that had me on the edge of my seat. The connection between these 2 was perfect. The sparks flew like fire works on a Fourth of July. An amazing story with a great storyline .
It could be read as a standalone but for better enjoyment read the other previous books in the series. Told in a dual POV with an HEA. I highly recommend this story.
A drink of Amber liquid, “orange, some cherries, some—”
“Simple syrup and some bitters?”
Add in a virile, built like a linebacker, handsome coach and sultry and sprightful Athletic Trainer and you have the Perfect Cocktail of attraction & lust topped with yearning love.
DELECTABLE INDEED!!
“She was like a slow leak, forcing her way between all the crevices of my broken heart and slowly, centimeter by centimeter, wearing it down and causing it to rust so much so that I wondered if a stiff inhale would make it shatter altogether.”
But look beyond it and Kandi has stuffed in all the feelings too. Jordan Becker and Sydney Kelly, nee Clark are now colleagues, but before that they used to crush on each other in high school. Those latent feelings have reared their pretty head and thrown both in a quandary.
Their chemistry could light up Stratford, Tennessee for days, it’s thick enough to slice with a knife!!
“There is something weird between us,”
“That’s why you feel it. And it’s not just weird, it’s rare, and unique, and intoxicating and terrifying, too.”
He’s dealing with heartbreaking loss and secrets at home
She’s got a monkey on her back- her ex who’s I am the cops!! and a football crazy daughter at home
Their paths couldn’t be any more in a different direction.
We were over. And maybe what hurt the most was that we had never really begun, at all.
It’s a craving tale of struggling love, lots of obstacles and pitfalls mar their road to happiness and togetherness.
The Becker Boys are all Perfect southern gentlemen. They love their mama, respect their women and stand with their brothers. They’re a team and Jordan being the eldest, has the toughest task of finding his own place and getting his father justice
It broke my heart at the dark secret he keeps in his heart like a virus, it’s eating him alive. Saying it would hurt them all and break up his love.
Kandi writes with honesty and romanticism, her belief in love blossoms in her words. Intensely written and fragrant with tender love it’s a beautiful story wrapping up teh Becker Clan saga.
I’ll miss these men
5 stars for warriors and fighters
As one of the Becker brothers, Jordan knows that making liquor is in the family’s blood. However – this sibling doesn’t want to go in the same career direction that his brothers went. Jordan found his calling through football. With a job as the local high school football coach, Jordan finds his path is different than what everyone expects. The drive from walking out on that playing field is unlike any force of nature. Then Sydney lands a job as the sports trainer at the high school, and Jordan’s world gets upended in a matter of seconds.
Leaving a painful marriage to offer a better life for her daughter, Sydney doesn’t plan on taking life for granted. With a new job and a start of a brighter future, the single mom is determined to shake the despair from her past. What Sydney didn’t plan on was the impact that crossing paths with Jordan would have on her life. Is it a conflict of interest when co-workers have such an explosive attraction?
Can I tell you just how long it seems like I have waited to uncover all of the secrets that haunt the Becker brother?? Old Fashioned explores Jordan’s journey to love, self-discovery and the mystery surrounding his father’s death. The road to redemption is filled with hurdles, and Jordan will experience his own struggles with life. Watching the romance unfold for Jordan and Sydney was engaging. Add Sydney’s daughter Paige to the mix, and this romance was full of wit and a magnetic pull.
Now let me address all of the secrets surrounding the Becker brothers’ father’s death. Oh Mylanta……the secrets that are revealed were EPIC!! Some secrets I saw coming, and others threw me one heck of a curveball. The ending of this series was everything that readers could hope for. All in all – Old Fashioned was the wrap up to a saga that definitely should grace your reading list.
My gosh where do I even start with this review? From the first book On the Rocks, I fell in love with these Becker Boys, this incredible family and their small town of Stratford, Tennesse had my heart from the beginning and here we are on book 4, the final book. It is bittersweet because the moment this book dropped on my kindle I immediately devoured it but then as I finished the last page I was streaming in tears of joy, happiness and love but also sadness that this is the end. The Becker Boys will stay with me for a very long time to come. Truly unfortgettable! Kandi’s writing is angsty, emotional and deep. Her writing is filled with so much passion and heart it is impossible not to love every single world.
JORDAN
Throughout the series Jordan was the biggest mystery to me. All I knew was that he was adopted, wanted nothing to do with the Whiskey Disterilly Business because Football was his true passion and he is a fierce, loyal brother and son to the Becker Family. In the previous books he doesnt speak much so there was so much to learn about him. He is everything I knew he’d be. His broody but protective nature is what I loved most. As coach of the high school football team he is stern when he needs to be but deep down he has a huge heart for his players. He has a beautiful soul. His love for his family is so special.
“He was purposeful, severe–the flood God cast down to cleanse the earth.”
SYDNEY
Sydney is the ex-wife of Police Chief and has just taken a new job on the football team as athletic trainer. She is the first woman on staff and has her work cut out for her. She is one hell of a FIGHTER. She is extremely smart, strong and resillient. She has been through a lot. Her strength and determination is truly admirable. She is an incredible mother and I loved watching her feelings develop for Jordan.
“One thing I’d learned was that he didn’t speak often, so when he did, everyone knew it was important, and valuable, and necessary.”
The romance and passion between Sydney and Jordan was so special. I didnt anticipate the super sweet swoony moments between them, and couldnt get enough.
If you have been following this series from the beginning you know that there is a mystery to be solved and the way the book finshed off was perfect. All our questions are answered and then some. THIS BOOK. THIS SERIES. IS EVERYTHING. A must read! 5 STARS.

I am so sad that the Becker brother stories are over! But this was such a great way to end it!!
This book had all the angst that you come to love in a Kandi Steiner book!! Highly recommend!!
Old Fashioned is the 4th and final book in the Becker Brothers Series. Oh how I hated for it to come to an end!
This was a great ending to a great series. I was anxiously awaiting Jordan’s story, and Kandi did not disappoint! All of the books are standalone with HEAs, so you don’t have to read the other books in order to understand this one but it does help and they are so good, that you will want to read them! I highly recommend reading them all!
Kandi Steiner wrote a beautiful love story with a boatload of feels and wonderful characters. The Becker Brothers and their significant others were forces to be reckoned with. The plot had hooked from start to finish. There are difficult situations, heartbreak, and jaw-dropping revelations. We get answers to questions that we’ve been wondering about. We also get to see characters from the previous books and find out things about them that we didn’t know.
Jordan was always quiet and broody. He watched his brothers find their forever mates and happily ever afters but he thought that love wasn’t for him. Never did he imagine falling in love until Sydney came tumbling unexpectedly into his life. Their chemistry was instant but there were obstacles in their way. It was nice to see how Sydney brought out an entirely different side of Jordan. Sydney is a single, divorced mom. She is smart, strong, and independent. She is attracted to Jordan but things are complicated in more ways than one. When secrets come to light, will Jordan and Sydney be able to hold on to what they have, or will it rip them apart? Sydney doesn’t only have herself to think of. What will happen when she is forced to make choices?
This was a page-turner! I was on the edge of my seat at times. My heart was in my throat and my jaw dropped at other times. I totally melted with Jordan and Sydney. They had that special something. I loved watching their relationship progress with one another, as well as Jordan’s relationship with Paige, Sydney’s daughter. The revelations were heart-stopping and gut-wrenching. Kandi did a wonderful job of completing this addicting series! I highly recommend reading it.

This book was a terrific ending to the Becker brothers series. I’m sad to be done. I absolutely loved the slow burn. The romance, those sweet gestures. But the star of the show for me was Paige!! I loved having her in the story. Those were some of my most favorite parts. She was a spitfire. Loved her and Jordan’s time together. But I also loved getting Jordan and Sydney story. It was the perfect ending to this series.
