The epic finale of the Becker Brothers series. Each book can be read as a stand-alone.It’s a man’s world. When I declared sports medicine as my major and every man narrowed their eyes, that saying proved true. It was true when my ex-husband decided I’d give up my career when our daughter was born. And again when I divorced the Chief of Police in our small town, and he made it painfully clear that … made it painfully clear that I could leave him, but I would never be free.
Landing the job as the new athletic trainer for Stratford’s high school team is my chance to start over. And walking into a male-dominated sport and staff, I’m ready for the challenge.
I’m not ready for Jordan Becker.
The head coach of our championship winning team is a Herculean force of nature–as severe as he is determined. His icy blue eyes and permanent scowl drive the women in this town mad, and his quiet power and undeniable command conjure respect from every man.
When I join his team, I expect the doubt and anticipate the fight from him. And I get them both.
I don’t expect to form a friendship.
And I never expect to fall for him.
My breath catches when those cool eyes fall to my lips. My body comes alive when his is near. And as those lines begin to blur, every warning bell sounds.
My job, my reputation are on the line.
And my ex is around every corner, waiting to remind me of his power.
It’s a man’s world, and if I want to survive, I can never fall in love with Jordan Becker.
Even if he falls in love with me first.

I have mixed feelings about this one. It’s the final book in the Becker brothers series, and I was glad to finally have the mystery surrounding their dad’s death solved. However, the mystery kind of overshadowed the romance between Jordan and Sydney. I loved Jordan and Sydney together. And Paige! I loved her little football obsessed heart. I loved how Jordan loved Sydney and Paige and wanted more of that. I loved the familial bond between Jordan and his brothers, and I loved how each Becker brother loved his girl the way their dad loved their mom. The Becker family is an awesome one and I loved that they were all present in Jordan’s book.
The deal with Jordan’s biological parents was kinda meh to me. His bio dad was super predictable. There was a lot of attention put on his and Sydney’s race too. I get some of that was necessary…small town blah blah, but it felt excessive. So yeah. I was glad their dad’s death was resolved. I’m glad Jordan found his HEA, but I wish we got more of their romance and less of the biological parents/race drama.
It is here. The final book in the Becker Brother’s series. It is everything. All the questions are answered and all of the past comes to light.
This book took me a little to get into. Not because it wasn’t as stellar, but because I wasn’t ready for the ending.
This novel was sexy and sweet and SO much angst. It also had its darker spots. I knew that going into this that secrets would be unravelled but the ones that came to light in this were not anything you could have ever imagined.
Jordan is the brother we didn’t really learn a whole lot about until this book. His life was the one that stood as an outlier of the brothers and in this book you really get to know him.
Not only that, but you also get to be not he while ride while he not only falls in love, but he finds the answers to all the questions that have been haunting this family.
I loved how Kandi blended both plot lines so seamlessly in this read. You don’t really know what you are getting when these two collide their lives but in the end it was everything. I loved every word and this series was perfection.
Seriously, My favorite type of book to read. I thoroughly enjoyed it and the entire Becker family. The characters were so thoughtfully explored and Jordans story was by far my favorite. I could also be biased because I. A Caucasian gal that met my Chocolate lover at age sixteen. We have been married for 18 years and have three kids together. Understanding Jordan and Sydney both, was easy. My kids continue to struggle being “Mulatto” children and I highly doubt that will change any time soon.
I appreciate the way Kandi skillfully and gracefully told the story of a couple with demons and scars that were ganuting them and yet only made them immperfectly perfect.
My favorite Becker book!!!
10 STARS if possible!
This was definitely my favorite of the Becker Brother’s series. Jordan was the most mysterious of the Becker Brothers and this book really dove into his personality and what has made him who he is. Although in my opinion, Paige was the star of this book. I love an awesome quirky kid and she had me laughing multiple times throughout the book. This book had a little bit of it all…love, humor, mystery, betrayal and a little bit of steam. Highly recommend one-clicking!

I swear no one does it better than Kandi! I adore this entire series and Old Fashioned is simply the cherry on top of a very delicious cake! This book is like visiting your favorite family members. I was rooting for Jordan and Sydney from the get go. Jordan has always been the brooding oldest brother in the background. Sydney is this stronger than she knows mother. Put them both together and it is hot, hot, hot. Please read!!!!
I enjoyed this story, but I’m sad to see this series come to an end. I’ve loved the Becker brothers and their stories, and I was so happy to finally see them all get some closure. Jordan and Sydney were good together, and I thought they had great chemistry. There were some things that they had to overcome to be together, and I got annoyed at Sydney along the way. She did run when things got tough with Jordan, but when things came to a head, she was ready to stand and fight with him. Paige was great and I thought she added a lot to the story. I loved getting all the updates on the other brothers, but my favorite thing about this book was FINALLY seeing justice be served for their father. It was satisfying as a reader to have it work out the way you want it to. The ending was super sweet, I just wish there were more Becker brothers =)
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
“And in the midst of it all, the way he kissed me made me realize I’d never really been kissed before.”
WOW!! I knew we would be getting all the answers in the final book of this addictive, small-town romance with a twist of mystery, but I had no idea!! Jordan, the eldest Becker has always questioned his roots (being adopted) and his quiet strength and commanding of the High School Football Team instead of working at the Distillery has always set him apart. I knew he would be a special story kept for the last in the series, but even I couldn’t anticipate the bombs that were dropped in this one. As it soldiered on, this story brought me so many feels, tears, heart tugs, and every emotion possible, I couldn’t put it down. He and Sydney had so much against them, I wasn’t sure how they would end up, all I knew is I wanted them to have an HEA more than anything. The Author held me captive throughout the entire series, and at this point it’s impossible to pick my favorite Becker brother, but this last installment was nothing less than explosive!! An absolute must read series!!!
“I leaned my body into his, leaned my heart into this soft man with the hardened edges.”

Old Fashioned was a PHENOMENAL and EPIC finale to the Becker Brothers series, and I absolutely LOVED Jordan and Sydney’s sweet, sexy, swoon-worthy, suspenseful, and entertaining love story! Kandi Steiner’s prose and storytelling is unparalleled, and I am shamelessly addicted to her brand of angsty, emotional romance. She completely outdid herself with Old Fashioned and the entire Becker Brothers series, and I can’t wait to devour more of her sexy, angsty, and emotional love stories!
The storyline was fantastic. I loved the plot, even though some parts were a little difficult to read, but the author handled everything with perfection. I loved that I finally got the answers to the mystery that has been mentioned through the entire Becker Brothers series. All of the twists and turns, especially toward the end, had my jaw dropping to the floor. I couldn’t have been more surprised and I give huge props to Kandi Steiner. I also loved the sports romance trope and football element, as well as the hero and heroine being people of color. Kandi truly did a phenomenal job with every aspect of Old Fashioned.
The characters completely stole the show and my heart. Jordan and Sydney were amazing, and I loved them so much. They had wonderful personalities and red-hot chemistry together, and I loved how their relationship progressed throughout. I also immensely enjoyed all of their banter and interactions with each other, even if it was sometimes heartbreaking. I also adored the entire Becker family and several side characters, and couldn’t have loved them more. Jordan and Sydney’s story was phenomenal from start to finish, and I was absolutely ecstatic with the conclusion.
Old Fashioned was all-around exceptional and went above and beyond my expectations! I absolutely loved Jordan and Sydney’s story and couldn’t have asked for more. The Becker family and the Becker Brothers series were beyond special and will always be near and dear to my heart. Kandi Steiner is an incredibly talented author, and I can’t wait to read more from her!

This is the final book in the Becker Boys series and Kandi saved the best for last. I’ve wondered about Jordan since the very first book, I needed to know all the things about this quite brooding man and this book does not disappoint. You finally get the answers to all the questions you may have had throughout this series and it’s epically satisfying. So, even though this could technically be read as a standalone, I wouldn’t you miss out on all the goodness from each of his brother’s stories…..
’ , , .
Jordan is everything I thought he would be, he’s sweet and romantic just like his brothers. And holds his parent’s relationship as the Gold Standard to how all relationships should be. And honestly, I would too if my parents were like his. So, it makes sense that he has these walls up to keep relationships at bay. But it’s so gratifying to see his walls slowly fall and his inner romantic come out. He’s wonderfully protective and won’t hesitate to put himself in danger to prevent anything from happening to those he cares about. And I absolutely loved his relationship with Sydney’s daughter Paige they connected instantly what with her obsession with football, and he offer’s his unwavering support to her form the get go. This in itself is enough to make you fall head over heels for this guy.
’ . .
Sydney is fierce, this woman is so much stronger than she gives herself credit for. She lived through hell and made it out on the other side with her daughter, and that takes strength of character and of heart. She is also incredibly smart and knows what she is doing when it comes to her new job as the new athletic trainer, she is a strong woman in a male dominated area and that’s inspiring.

This series is easily one of my favorites, Kandi has created such a wonderful world full of intrigue and romance. Her books easily sweep you under and take a hold of you completely enthralling you until the very end. This is a must-read series!!! Fall in love with these Becker Boy’s the way I have you won’t be disappointed.
“He still felt like he owned me, and I knew better than anyone that if someone tried to play with his toy, they’d pay the price for it.”
When you find yourself wanting to live again…really live, but you know your past is haunting you. Do you go back to the shell of the life you were living or do you reach for the possibilities…the dream…the I am worthy moments…
“If you’re mine, you’re mine. And I’m going to make sure everyone knows it.”
This book had my emotions raging. There was hope, fear, regret, secrets, loyalty, love, discovery, peace, redemption, strength and perseverance.
Some times you need to risk it all to get your moments of bliss. Putting yourself out there and believing you deserve it all. It won’t always be full of sunshine, but it will be worth the ride.
“We are warriors. Survivors. You never have to apologize to me, okay? You just have to keep fighting. That is what you owe me—not an apology, but a fight…”
Old Fashioned was book 4 of the Becker Brothers and a great way to end it all! Jordan the oldest is the last one and Kandi saved the last for the best! I knew I was going to like him from Books 1-3 but you will fall in love with him in this one. Add in little loves football-can quote ESPN-girl and its just perfect! Along with, hot mama who he should touch let alone date for soooo many reasons this was a sexy, steamy, drama, and HEA filled perfectly end to a series book! Oh, and you add in football in small town Tennessee!
Again, you get some final results and justice from previous books, and Kandi does just a wonderful job ending it all, that its feels complete! All the characters are back and it just made my heart happy! This was my favorite of the series!
Overall, 4 stars and 3.5 steams!

I don’t know how Kandi does it… each Becker brother book seems to get better and better. I thought Mikey’s was my favorite, but now it’s a toss up.
Each book is relatable but for me, this is the most relatable—there’s trying to fit in… there’s trying to pick up the pieces after your world crumbled… there’s overcoming stereotypes… there’s trying to fill a void… there’s standing up for yourself… like I said, it’s relatable. Plus the heroine is mixed Filipino, which I love because I am like her too.
It’s swoony, it’s sexy and just the right amount of angst.
If you’re looking for something to sweep you away to romance land, then this is the book to pick up next.
5 Cranky Stars
After reading this book I really want to try an Old Fashioned drink right now. This book sucked me in so much that I felt like I was there with Sydney and Jordan. Kandi Steiner is a truly amazing story teller and now one of my favorite authors.
Sydney is starting a new life with her daughter Paige. After a nast marriage and an even messier divorce life is finally calming down. With her new job as the trainer at the high school she finally gets to put her degree to use.
Jordan loved playing football but loves coaching more. He’s good too. So good that he has championships under his belt and is lining up to have another one this year. Everything is going as planned until Sydney walks into his locker room and turns his life upside down.
This story has everything. Mystery and suspense and of coarse tons of angsty feels. I couldn’t put this book down. This book will stick with me for a long time. Kandi Steiner knocked this out of the park. I can’t wait to read more.
Jordan you were worth the wait!!!
This was definitely my favourite book in this amazing Becker Brothers series and boy am I going to miss you guys.
Jordan was always the quiet one in the back ground of the other novels, but he sure packed a punch in this book. He definitely is the strong silent and handsome type of guy! He is a huge thinker and a very emotional man who is extremely loyal to a fault with his family. He worships his mum , dad and brothers and even though he is adopted that doesn’t even matter.
You have spent the last ten years being strong for your family and always looking out for them. Now it is your turn to put your self first, you deserve to be happy.
Sydney what a beautiful lady you are, you protect your daughter with a fierceness that she will come to thank you for. You have raised a strong girl that knows right from wrong and don’t forget the sass! That girl would give anyone a run for their money.
Sydney you have had quite the marriage and you are definitely not a coward!! You are a strong woman who did the right thing when you were able to.
To say I was excited for this book was an understatement, I could not wait to meet Jordan properly but also to find out what happened to their sweet father. We discovered what happened to him and just wow!! There are definitely some twists and turns in this book that I never saw coming.
The way Kandi wrote this story was just beautiful , every brother and his story was just so enjoyable to read. The way they treated their mother shows how well they were raised. This flows to the beautiful ladies in their lives too. What a beautiful family that is going to be missed.
Thanks for this series Kandi, I have loved every page
Old Fashioned is the fourth and final book in Kandi Steiners Becker Brothers series. Although this series centres around each brother finding love, I would recommend reading all books in order as there is an interconnected storyline and an unsolved mystery.
I am seriously obsessed with this series, these brothers, this town. Kandi definitely saved the best for last because Jordan has turned out to be my absolute favourite Becker. Sydney and Jordan were perfect together, they couldn’t deny the chemistry they had for each other I loved watching their relationship grow, and the bond that Jordan forms with Sydneys daughter Paige is beautiful.
The mystery that was first talked about in the first book is finally resolved and I’m so glad we got answers it was definitely something I’ve been looking forward too in this series. I was excited to see all our other boys with their love’s. The family moments are always my favourite part and watching the love they all have for one another.
I can not express enough about how much I loved this series and i’m so sad that this is the end but it was the perfect finale and I can’t wait to see what Kandi has for us next!
ARC kindly provided for an honest review.
Kandi Steiner writes the absolute best romances on this earth and she has continued her winning streak with Old Fashioned. The Becker brothers have proven to be worthy of all the accolades. Every one of them is chocked full of romantic bones and dancing feet. They are what book boyfriends are made of. I’ve fallen in love with each of them for totally different reasons, and this time Jordan is the one filling up my proverbial cup.
Author Kandi Steiner has once again made it possible to read her book as a stand-alone, but this is a series better enjoyed in order. The mystery part of this series is slowly unveiled in each book and we finally get the shocking answers in Old Fashioned. Steiner ties up all the loose ends; even ones we didn’t realize were there. Old Fashioned gives the Becker brothers their due and delivers lots of heart-melting, swoony scenes.
Jordan and Sydney aren’t looking for love but that’s when love always finds a Becker; when he is least expecting it. When love hits a Becker, it hits hard and true. There is no halfway with them. They are either all in or not at all. These boys were brought up right; they have suffered and survived. Steiner has also managed to tie in her love of football this time around. The Beckers are football lovers and Jordan and Sydney play an integral part in the local football scene. It is the perfect setting for their relationship to bloom.
The women who love them have enriched their lives and the family as a whole. Jordan and Sydney, along with young Paige, fit in perfectly and totally complete this amazing family and story. Sydney has taken a giant leap in her life trying to leave the darkness behind even though she can’t seem to shake it. It follows her into the light, constantly pulling her back with subtle looks and reminders. When Sydney sees her child scared and in danger, she becomes a fierce mother bear ready to protect her cub at all costs. While Old Fashioned is a love story, it is also a story of survival and overcoming insurmountable odds to right the wrongs and letting justice prevail.
Saying goodbye to a series is always bittersweet but none more so than the Beckers. They have touched my heart and taught me many lessons along the way. Old Fashioned has once again brought the whole family together, each character giving a little bit more of themselves to make this a true series that continues with each book, delivering a look into their current lives that brought many smiles to my face. I won’t hesitate to recommend this series over and over again to all those looking for romance to bloom in an everyday world. Good things come to those who wait.
Job well done! This story leaves you breathless. You think your just in it for the romance, a love story that knows no bounds, bu in reality it’s the togetherness that keeps you coming back. These brother have each other’s backs, they love their mother and the long for the truth about their fathers death. In this book, they get all their answers and Mister football coach him self finds love. It’s not always easy but true love isn’t. It all come with hills to climb and challenges to face and this author writes it all with flourish and bangs. It doesn’t hurt that Sydney’s daughter Paige is a great added bonus to have here.
No cheating, there is flashbacks to abuse, and a great HEA!
Quite possibly the best ending to a great (stand-alone) series. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and The Becker brothers.
I have to admit, small town romance isn’t necessarily my favorite trope but I trusted Kandi Steiner regardless. Even with a shaky start for me with ‘On the Rocks’, I still didn’t give up, and I’m glad I didn’t. The rest of the books were some of my favorites!
Brava, Kandi! Can’t wait to read what you give us next.
Kandi Steiner held nothing back on this delectable conclusion to the Becker Brother series. The romance between eldest brother Jordan and Sydney is just that, romantic. It’s also sexy and sweet, and although their slightly forbidden connection drives the story, there’s a mystery (or two) at the core of this series awaiting resolution, and Kandi gave us much needed justice, and a bit of a surprise.
Sydney Kelly was introduced in the third book, Manhatten. Divorced from the dastardly sheriff Randy, she’s back to work and finds herself working for and with Jordan, coach to Stratford winning high school football team. Their relationship is forged by time together and a love for the sport but there is a strong undercurrent of sexual chemistry between them that neither can ignore. It’s so much fun to see how these two grow into something. Sydney’s daughter, Paige, is a delight and gives Jordan a new love of family. And it’s family love and the need to protect that creates a bit of a problem between Jordan and Sydney, but together they find their way.
Jordan was the brother with the most mystery surrounding him. He’s adopted and we’ve been waiting to find out just how that came about. Kandi held back through three books, giving no clues.
From the start of the series, we’ve been waiting to find out what happened to John Becker those many years ago. I will say it’s not a big surprise as to who arranged the death of John Becker and why, but Jordan parentage is another story. I’ll admit I didn’t see that coming at all. It makes the ending all the more sweet. I’m sad to see the end of the series but always looking forward to what Kandi delivers next! 4 Stars!
I have waited for Jordan, the quiet ones are always my favorite and he came in, took over and proved me right. I adored his quiet strength, his place in the family, his tenacity and his overall love of everyone that he holds dear to him. This, the last book in the series (sobs) has us finding answers to all of the questions, lies, bad guys and good guys we have learned and met along the way. You are drawn in and kept held by the love, friendship and family that you are watching bloom, but the mystery that has been unfolding for the last three books is also coming to a head. The past couples are brought in, you are able to catch up on their stories, watch them enjoying Jordan falling hard, and they are eagerly awaiting answers to why their father was taken from them. What has been lurking around them, is finally coming all together in a beautifully told love story that had me swooning, gasping, tearing up, laughing and cheering. Kandi Steiner carefully unveiled the truths that have been lingering in each and every story and weaved them together within Sydney and Jordan’s journey. And don’t forget Paige. That girl owned me. I was a young girl that LOVED playing football, I was actually the starting quarterback of my flag football team 6th through 8th grade. I love the sport still today with a passion. I mean it’s not basketball, but it is in my heart too. Moving on. Ms Steiner as always held me captive, stretched what my reader heart could take, and gave me all the feels, per usual. Loved this finale. Not excited it’s over but feel completely satisfied with the outcome for everyone. Bravo girl.
