The epic finale of the Becker Brothers series. Each book can be read as a stand-alone.It’s a man’s world. When I declared sports medicine as my major and every man narrowed their eyes, that saying proved true. It was true when my ex-husband decided I’d give up my career when our daughter was born. And again when I divorced the Chief of Police in our small town, and he made it painfully clear that … made it painfully clear that I could leave him, but I would never be free.
Landing the job as the new athletic trainer for Stratford’s high school team is my chance to start over. And walking into a male-dominated sport and staff, I’m ready for the challenge.
I’m not ready for Jordan Becker.
The head coach of our championship winning team is a Herculean force of nature–as severe as he is determined. His icy blue eyes and permanent scowl drive the women in this town mad, and his quiet power and undeniable command conjure respect from every man.
When I join his team, I expect the doubt and anticipate the fight from him. And I get them both.
I don’t expect to form a friendship.
And I never expect to fall for him.
My breath catches when those cool eyes fall to my lips. My body comes alive when his is near. And as those lines begin to blur, every warning bell sounds.
My job, my reputation are on the line.
And my ex is around every corner, waiting to remind me of his power.
It’s a man’s world, and if I want to survive, I can never fall in love with Jordan Becker.
Even if he falls in love with me first.

Small town sports romance with all the feels!!
If you love small town sports romance with a side of angst and a heavy dose of emotional romance than Old Fashioned is the perfect book to dive into! Kandi is a master at creating relatable characters and heroes that will make you swoon.
I have been so excited about the release of this book. It’s the final book in the Becker Brothers Series.
Those Becker Brothers are the boys that make small towns click. The ones that have the girl’s hearts going aflutter, that raise just enough havoc to be mischievous but not dangerous. And I have enjoyed meeting every single one of them.
But there is always one that resonates with you more than the others, that you can’t wait to know more about. For me, it is Jordan. Perhaps because he’s a football coach and I love football. Maybe because he’s the oldest and more mature of the brothers. Possibly because he walks softly and carries a big stick. Yet, I think it is because he brings diversity into the fold and being a black woman I live for diversity in romance.
Not only was Jordan a diverse character, but so was the heroine, Sydney. She enveloped being headstrong, smart and determined. Her motherly devotion was superb. Her fear was understandable. Her strength applaudable. She’s had a rough time of it and yet she still lives her life with compassion.
Kandi not only stepped outside the box, but she blew it with this story. She gave us what we needed without overkill. Being Black was not the core of who Jordan was, but it was something that set him aside from others. He knew he was a Becker, but he also knew he was more. Being a combination of so many races, Sydney did not focus on that, but she stated it with pride. She owned it.
The perfect way in which Kandi web this tale of intrigue, angst, romance, and humor was just perfection. The intricacy of pulling storylines together, answering questions, filling gaps and giving the reader what they wanted and needed by the end of the book and this series was worth every word. From the first words beginning with On The Rocks to the final words ending with Old Fashioned.
Though I found the book to move a little slow at first, she more than made up for it as the suspense built and answers came to the forefront. She made up for it by touching areas that most shy away from. She made up for it by not sugarcoating the emotional turmoil the characters felt. She made up for it by being real.
Brand new small town, sports romance from Kandi Steiner! Read for FREE in Kindle Unlimited. Can be read as a standalone, or you can binge all four brothers right now!
The final Becker Brother book was worth the wait! It was quite the ride following their journey and love story! Each book in the series gave you a few little clues to their family history and Ms. Steiner did not disappoint! Both Logan and Sydney are lovable souls and it gave me all the feels! I’m sad that the Becker Brothers have ended their reign but look forward to the next feel good series!!
Kandi Steiner does it again with the final installment in the Becker Brothers series – this time concentrating on Jordan the adopted older brother who has followed his own path. When Sydney enters the picture via his highschool football locker room he knows he has met his match. Sydney though has some pretty serious baggage in the form of her police chief ex husband and a mystery that still needs to be solved surrounding him and the Becker family.
The exciting thing about book 4 is that we finally get closure on the family’s unsolved tragedy as well as a great love story between Jordan and Sydney. Not to mention the backdrop of high school football which I loved! The story is so well written with great characters that I couldnt help falling for Sydney and Jordan; its a great way to wrap up a fantastic series.
What an amazing end to this book series. Love the Becker Brothers and their mom
Jordan is the oldest Becker and the only one who has never worked at Scooter Whiskey like the rest of the family. He lives and breathes football until he starts working with Sydney the new Athletic Trainer for his high school team. Enter Sydney and her daughter Paige. Sydney comes with more than a daughter she comes with an Ex that is the police chief who still wants to control her.
Wonderful read. Incredible series. Must Read
4.5 stars!
Ahhhh!! It’s no secret that I have really enjoyed this series and this ending was perfect! I knew I would like Jordan’s story because I could already tell I liked Jordan.
The oldest Becker, adopted, football coach responsible for 2 state championship high school teams, the quiet and seemingly level headed brother may be a man of few words but his presence speaks for him. When Sydney gets hired as the athletic trainer for the football team, Jordan is worried she’ll be a distraction for the team because she’s the only female on staff…is he really worried about the team or about himself?
Sydney is finally free, sort of. Recently divorced about being stuck in an abusive marriage to the chief of police (yeah, you may remember him if you’ve read the other books,) Sydney is finally getting the chance to do what she set out to do 9 years ago, be an athletic trainer for a sports team. After not getting a very welcome start from Jordan, she finds herself getting swept up in the hype that is this team and this coach. When Jordan connects with her daughter, Paige, over football, she knows she’s in trouble. Not only is Jordan her superior and coworker, but her ex-husband keeps a very close knowing eye on all her whereabouts.
The progression of Jordan and Sydney’s relationship was spot on in tempo and steam and I loved these two together. Throw in the unraveling of the mystery surrounded Jordan’s dad’s death that has been brewing throughout the series and this book had me 100% hooked.
I’m sad to see the end but I enjoyed the heck out of the ride!

The Becker Brothers series is everything a small town romance is known for and more.
Old Fashioned is the final book in the Becker Brothers series and the most jam packed. OMG I literally finished it in two very enjoyable sittings.
Old Fashioned was told beautifully. We were eased into Jordan and Sydney’s love story – oh the feels and then we were rewarded with the Series secret – and wow the Secret was eye opening and made so much sense.
Old Fashioned was the perfect ending to the Becker Brother Series.Kandi Steiner
Becker Brother series? YEA!
Kandi Steiner brings us a brand new small town, sports romance from Kandi It can be read as a standalone, or you can binge all four brothers right now!
Book four is here! Although this is a standalone there’s a phenomenal series finale bit right in. This is romantic, relatable, and super entertaining. Love this book, this series, these characters, and Kandi for giving them all to us. Binge in KU.
Kandi Steiner has struck again and I need a hug after finishing Old Fashioned. There was mystery and steam. Danger and romance. Family and football. And from the first meeting between Jordan and Sydney I was hooked.
I adored Jordan. He is the epitome of strong, silent type. Not big on words or sharing his feelings. But when he did, they mattered. They were powerful. They got you right in the head and heart. But it was Sydney that got to him. Made him look twice. Think twice. She worked hard and didn’t back down. She made hard choices, even to the detriment of her own happiness.
The odds were stacked against Sydney and Jordan from the start. And they faced a major uphill battle to get what they wanted- answers and each other. When the danger started to pile up, and threatened to tear them apart, they fought together anyway.
Old Fashioned was ripe with emotion and I felt it all. The pain. The desire. The sacrifice. The romance. A touch of the forbidden only added to the yearning. And in the middle of it all was the mystery of what really went down at the Distillery that fateful night. Trust me when I say, if you think you know how it is going to play out, that you have NO idea. As bittersweet as it is to say goodbye to the Becker brothers, this series couldn’t have ended any better. That ending….be still my happy heart. It was exactly the joy that Sydney and Jordan earned and deserved.
Yes, this is what a finale to a beautiful series should be!!
This is Jordan Becker’s story. This is the story of the oldest Becker brother. He is the epitome of the saying “still waters run deep” He embraces the knowledge that he is an old fashioned man. He is loyal to his family and he fights for what’s right. I loved the quiet strength of Jordan. He was the calming presence in the Becker family.
Sydney is a woman of underlying strength and perseverance. What she has lived through and what she becomes is a testament to that. To be thriving and exceeding in a male-dominated career field is amazing to read!
Even though Sydney and Jordan have known each other for years, the timing was never in their favor. But when fate smiles at them and brings them together, boy do the sparks fly.
I was also blown away by the final pieces of the mystery surrounding the death of the Becker family patriarch. And then to have even more secrets unveiled left me gasping in shock! I would have never guessed it!
This whole series was absolutely beautiful, it goes down like a smooth glass of whiskey, leaving you feel warm on the inside.
Jordan doesn’t think he will find love like his his parents and Sydney has given up on love due to her ex husband. Sydney works for Jordan and they become friends, but the attraction is intense. There is too much that says they shouldn’t be together but but they can’t stop the attraction. Will the time ever be right ? Great characters and storyline. Highly recommended. Awesome book
It’s sad to see the Becker Brothers stories come to an end, but it was such a great ride! These were the first books I’ve read by Kandi Steiner and I fell in love with her writing! So descriptive and amazing. There were so many secrets and questions throughout this series that were answered in this book. It was a perfect epic ending.
Jordan, the oldest Becker brother, has been tasked with the final part of the investigation in their father’s death, while also coaching the highschool football team to win the state championship again, while also dealing with his feelings towards the new trainer that joined their staff and the distraction she’ll have on the players.
Sydney’s character was great. She recently got out of a toxic marriage, living with her daughter and the life she always wanted to live. Her daughter was so cute, easily likeable. Jordan and her really hit it off with their mutual love for football, and he offers to train with her to become a football player, despite her being a girl.
Jordan and Sydney had great chemistry and are perfect for each other. They both have walls built around their hearts and it was so sweet to watch as they were slowly torn down allowing their way into each other’s hearts. Jordan finds the answers he’s been looking for for years about his birth parents, and Sydney steps up to support Jordan and his brothers with bringing down the responsible party for their father’s death.
I’ve been dying to read this since I read On The Rocks. Jordan is the quiet Becker brother and I think the most loving and caring. Sydney and Paige are perfect for them. He never thought he would ever marry or have kids until Sydney walked into his life. I loved how all the secrets of his father’s death were revealed too. Just an amazing book and ending to this series. Highly recommended.
God, where do I even start?
Ever since we met the Becker brothers I’ve been biding my time, waiting for Jordan’s story.
He always seemed so far away and contained and I just had a feeling that something is lurking under the surface.
Old Fashioned was the best culmination to the Becker brothers series. I was so engrossed in their story that now that it’s over, the truth has come to light and HEAs have been had all around I have the worst book hangover.
Kandi killed it with this book and this series!
5 stars and an old fashioned
This book is funny, and sweet and all the things a good romance book should be. I really enjoyed it!
