Is it because of that letter to Santa her Aunt Vidalia convinced her to write?
Within days she meets a beautiful man with a deeply wounded soul. And oddly, she finds herself giving him the same advice the town Santa gave to her—try believing again, and if it’s too much to believe, then just try hoping.
Love, magic, and miracles ensue.
Because this is Big Falls, Oklahoma. Miracles are an everyday occurrence around here. Especially at Christmastime.

Sweet and lovely Christmas read. Lots of hopes and wishes coming true in a small Oklahoma town. Just write that letter to Santa 🙂
Sofia wasn’t into the whole Christmas happy holiday, that had been tainted by the loss of her parents in a Christmas This is Sofia and Darryl’s story. Sofia had been living in New York where she was a practicing Dr. But Sofa’s fiancé had taken her prescription pad and used it to get drugs for himself and to sell, unknown to Sofa until he was arrested and her career was in jeopardy. Her fiancé while out on bail waiting for his trial, wouldn’t let Sofia alone and tried breaking into her apartment. To get distance and to feel safe Sofia went back home to stay with her Uncle while waiting to see if she would be cleared and able to practice again.
Eve car accident. Going back home was slowly giving her peace, but her cousins were concerned about her safety and had hired Darryl to watch over her while he also worked as a bounce in the family’s bar.
So, that begin’s the story of 2 people coming to terms with their past and Christmas giving them the season of miracles.
The only problem I had ; The story ended too soon! But the other nice thing; There’s a couple of chapters to the next 2 books. Nice stories of family friends and a quaint community that sounds like a place to find peace.
Wonderful touching Christmas story!
Starting Anew
Coming home to family was the best thing Sophia ever did. Her ex used her prescription bad and caused her to loose her job, almost her license and a lot of herself. Her cousins worry about her and hire Darryl to protect her without telling her. He has things he wishes he could change. With a little Christmas magic things can happen.
I love this writer! I know when I get one of her books that it will be good! This story reminds you of the spirit of Christmas and believing that wishes can and do come true. I am happy that Darryl found out that he did have a son!
Loved it from beginning to end. Five stars!
