Dean doesn’t do love. But he does do women.Lots of women.Until Beth piques his interest and distracts him from his A-grade player ways. She’s sexy, smart, and sassy as hell. She’s also an employee and entirely off limits.Supposedly.***Beth doesn’t break rules. But she does daydream about it.All the damn time. And Dean Sutherland is the biggest rule she shouldn’t break.Luckily, she’s not that kind of … time.
And Dean Sutherland is the biggest rule she shouldn’t break.
Luckily, she’s not that kind of girl.
Usually.
So why is she sliding her drunk ass into his car, accepting a ride home?
Why is she inviting him in for “coffee”?
Beth doesn’t break rules.
Nope. Never.
Not until now.

Office Player is an office romance with just a touch of friends to lovers thrown in, and it’s one of the best books I’ve read in months! I smiled. I laughed. I worried. I got frustrated. But most of all, I fell in love with Dean and Beth.
Dean was incredibly sweet and romantic. He was so crazy over the top sometimes! I adored him, even when I was frustrated that he wasn’t trying harder to win Beth (because he felt unworthy).
Beth was sweet but very uncertain. I loved her honesty and loyalty. I did want to shake some sense into her more than once though; she really had a hard time trusting.
The plot was interesting and kept me mesmerized from the beginning. The chemistry between Dean and Beth was scorching, and their intimate scenes were intense. I had a hard time putting the book down so I could sleep!
Eden Summers has become one of my favorite authors. Like her previous books, Office Player is extremely well written. I can’t wait to see what she writes next!
4.5 Stars
This standalone office romance features Dean and Beth. Their weekend together was sizzling HOT! Dean is fantastic! He’s truthful, genuine and an all-around great guy. Beth was prone to jump to conclusions and act a little immature.
I love it when the ultimate playboy falls hard for “the one”. This story line was great and progressed at a steady pace throughout the book. I definitely look forward to reading more from this fantastic author!
The story was well written, the plot flowed smoothly from page to page and the characters were so well developed that I was totally glued to my kindle throughout the entire book! I enjoyed this book so much that I ended up reading it in one evening!
I absolutely loved the story from Eden Summers! This story sucks you in, especially after the proposition made on the first few pages. This is Beth and Dean’s story. She works for Sutherland & Son and always try to be the perfect employee rarely letting her hair down or stepping out of line. Dean is a huge player, doesn’t do commitments but is also her colleague and part owner of Sutherland & Son. She harbors insecurities and he has a past. What transpires in this story keeps you hooked and turning the page to try and figure what will happen next. I love this story!!! You really get to see different sides to these people and see how it’s come to the end it does. It is well written with some wonderful characters and you cannot help but cheer Beth and Dean on. Of course sometimes you want to lock them in a room together. There are moments that are shocking. lough out loud, angst and have you cheering. I don’t want to give anything away but this is a definite must read! Eden Summers does such an incredible job with this story. I look forward to reading more from her.
This book gave me all the feels… Dean is hot… check… Beth is sassy… check… Kindle melting scenes… check… Story I want to read again and again… check… I floved this book and I wanted more. Dean and Beth work in the same office and one moment with co-workers was something neither of them could get out of their heads. So when Beth is given an offer she knows she has to refuse and ends drunk and in Dean’s car she knows something crazy is about to happen. I have to say I loved the way Eden Summers writes this story because you rush to read the next page but hate when you are on the last page because you become invested in the characters so much that you feel like you are losing a friend when you close the book. This is one book that I know I will read again and again because the characters and story just stay with you long after your read the last page. Highly recommended!!!!
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. I have loved everything I’ve read by Eden Summers. Add to the list. It’s an office romance. Dean is a player. His father steered him toward this, cementing it by stealing Dean’s so-called girlfriend years ago with more money! So Dean’s not big on love. But he sure is focused on Beth since their kiss a year ago. But Beth went back to all-professional. She knows Dean is a player and doesn’t want to be another ‘conquest’ and then try to work with him. But now she’s overly drunk after Dean’s father’s inappropriate proposition and Dean takes her home. Her lips get loose and all her thoughts spew forth, telling him how she feels about him. Uh oh! Now he can be open about how HE’s felt. Will they actually make it on this interesting path toward an HEA?
For Beth, today was just a typical Friday. Get up, go to work, finish and begin the weekend. But today would end with a business proposal from her boss that was more personal than business.
Beth works for Sutherland & Son, an electrical appliance company. She loves her job and is great at it. It used to be the only distraction she had was daydreaming about Dean Sutherland, her boss’ son. Today that was the last thing on her mind. To her surprise she finds herself in a bar sitting next to Dean. Been there. Done that. Not going to happen again.
Dean loves variety, especially when it comes to women. He’s never been able to settle on one for too long. Beth knows he’s dangerous. Too much testosterone wrapped in a handsome, muscled package. For Dean, Beth is pure temptation. The kind you don’t get over after one night.
I LOVED DEAN & BETH ! AMAZING STORYLINE AND AWESOME CHARACTERS AND LOTS OF SURPRISES !
SECRET, FURTIVE GLANCES MIXED WITH FLIRTY CONVERSATIONS ! RAW TEMPTATION AND UNCONTROLLABLE CRAVING ! ! ! A DEFINITE MUST READ ! ! !
I loved it! I love Eden Summers’s writing. This is a great love story and I was hooked from the first page to the end. I love the two main characters. Beth is feisty and hilarious! Dean is handsome, sexy and unexpectedly sweet and romantic. The storyline is well written and captivating. I’ll read this story again! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. This book was originally released under the title Concealed Desire.
A great story by Eden Summers! Beth and Dean work together- he’s a player, she’s a hardworker! They have history and she wants nothing to do with him- until she does. The book has steam, angst, laughter and finally honesty where these characters realize what it is like to be together!
It was a pager turner for me where I had various emotions but always wanting them to get their happily ever after!
its hot, its sizzling and its Eden Summers plus more !!!
this book brings down the heat like nothing I’ve read in a long time, and it was a breath of fresh and sizzling air in this summer heat !
if there are contradiction that I love, its that opposite attract, and in this story those are Beth and Dean.
What will it take to break the pattern or to take that step out of the comfort zone? do you give up safe or take a leap and see where it goes. its a love story with all the twists and turns, and … not to spoil it, the ending is the hottest !!!
Eden did a real showstopper with this one, just one more reason to add it to the golden #reREAD collection !!!!
Beth is a good girl. She’s a hard worker and she plays by the rules. She was tempted to cross the line once, but the fear of the repercussions made her revert back to her good girl ways, but a indecent proposition drives her to find refuge in the lobby bar.
Dean is the ultimate bad boy player. No attachments and a buffet of different women to satisfy his itch, but there’s one kiss that has always been in the back of his mind. He has been buying his time and waiting for the right moment to convince her that he wants to shed his player reputation to be with her.
Will Dean be able to convince Beth that she’s more than a one night stand or will Beth’s insecurities keep her from taking a chance on love. Their attraction and sexual chemistry is obvious but will it fade after the itch is scratched? Eden Summers knows how to write a story that engages the readers drawing them into the love story as it unfolds. I highly recommend this 5 star must read.
Beth has always had a bit of a thing for Dean, the son of her boss. He’s a player though. More women passing through his bedroom than a person can count. But, things aren’t always as they seem. He’s drawn to Beth, although she doesn’t know it, but when she receives a proposition that causes chaos in her mind, she uses alcohol to numb herself. Enter Dean who finds her drunk and wonders why she’s like it. He wants her, her guard is down due to the alcohol, but he becomes the unlikely gentleman, and won’t take advantage of a lady like Beth. The story is up and down. Beth’s fear that he won’t be able to commit and running into past flings doesn’t help with her insecurities. At times I admit, I wanted to shake her, and make her see that Dean truly cared for her. Once a player, doesn’t have to mean, always a player.
I was taken back by the first few pages with the proposition Beth got from non less than her boss. I’m glad when I kept reading and Dean was there, the boss’s son. Now they may not have the most conventional relationship but Dean knows what he wants. Beth and Dean make this book hot.
I was in the mood for a bit of a office romance and i was so excited to see that Eden Summers had just realised her book so i dove straight in.
I really liked this story and i loved the way Eden Summers writes she is so descriptive and she gets you picturing excatly how it would be played out in a movie or something, i really like that.
This book had such a great story line and not that it was a short book but it was a quick easy read and sucked you in to all the drama.
Both characters were easy to love and you can read them making there mistakes and wanting to bang there heads together but that’s what makes me love a book.
This book was steamy and sexy but not over the top and i really loved everything about it.
If your looking for a awesome office romance with a great story i would recommend this one for sure
This is a short, fun read about an office romance.
Dean, a player, has been burned by what he thought was love in the past and is dealing with family issues, which has led him to avoid relationships and have an evolving door of woman. Still, he has had eyes for Beth for over a year, since they engaged in a drunken kiss. Beth, not one for casual hook-ups, still remembers that kiss and her eyes always follow Dean around the office.
Dean is a strong character. He owns up to the reasons as to why he avoids relationships. I didn’t like Beth as much as she for most the book allows her insecurities based off his reputation cloud her judgement. There are a few misunderstands and she constantly runs without giving Dean a chance to explain.
There is good chemistry between the characters, but I feel that there could have been more character development. The book is told from a dual POV, which is something I always enjoy as I like to get a glimpse into both main characters’ thoughts. I would have also liked to have seen how their relationship evolves. It was alluded to in the book that they have lots of exchanges between them in the office, but they seemed to have hooked up and then they are “in love”. I would have liked to have seen some of the banter between them and perhaps them getting to know each other better outside of the bedroom.
I received this book as an ARC and I voluntarily leave this review. All thoughts and opinions are my own
Dean and Beth were perfect… The hot alpha male and strong, yet vulnerable, heroine and the push/pull relationship between them made for a hot page turner. I couldn’t put it down. Eden never seems to disappoint.
I loved watching Dean and Beth get together so much I finished the book in an afternoon! Funny, witty and definitely sexy. You’ll absolutely enjoy this book. Heck, you’ll like anything that Eden Summers has written.
Holy hotness! Office Player has it all! Hot alpha man…strong heroine…unexpected surprises…and steam, steam and more steam! Dean has wanted Beth since their first kiss. Instead of admitting it, he’s been the player. Beth has loved Dean just as long. But he’s her boss and falling for him would be a huge mistake…right? Then a proposition at work from a third party changes everything. Will it push them farther apart? Will they let go? Will either fight for the other? You HAVE to read this incredible story to find out!
It was all about sex and power play, and she came a battleground between two men.
Ack!!! Eden Summers threw me and Beth straight into every woman’s nightmare; the offer of a ‘mutually beneficial arrangement’ where she becomes so much more than a well performing staff member to the CEO of the company. Working for an Electrical Manufacturing Company, Beth has worked hard to become an asset to her boss, and now he wants more, “Much, much more.” And I have to say, I writhed in disgust right along with her.
Dean Sutherland is a playboy. He has been seriously attracted to Beth, since she started working at the company, and while she seemed almost immune to his charms, they had developed a friendship that he valued. She does think he’s as hot as all hell, but knows that with his revolving door of women, would never consider him to take a relationship seriously, and she values herself too much to become one of the many. We also find that they shared a hot and sexy kiss quite some time ago at an office party, but, what we don’t know is that he has been waiting patiently for over a year for her to be comfortable with him again. Has he waited alone??? No, and this is why, like Beth, I struggle to take anything he says about a serious relationship, well…seriously!
Only it wasn’t Dean to offer Beth an office affair, it was Dean’s closest rival, and who that was, shocked and horrified me the most.
I did love Dean’s patience, but once he was done waiting, that was it. And although he thinks he might not be the best man for her, he worked like hell to prove he was. And, oh my, he was hard at it. He was done waiting, and he showed Beth for sure.
The chemistry between them was hot and palpable, and I really loved that Dean showed his vulnerabilities to Beth, as she did to him. Trouble is, we know that the path of love is never smooth, and the power playing position of Dean’s rival puts Beth in the vulnerable position of a woman sexually harassed at in her work place.
In a re-write of her 2014 book, Eden Summers again reiterates the reason why I keep coming back to read another, then another of her books. They’re just that good. 5 Stars.
This was a quick and easy Office romance story. There was still depth to the story with a bit of family drama. The office was run by a father and son team and both were vying for the same woman. One hot kiss shared between a Beth and her boss a year before started a fire in two people that smolders for a year. One trying to pretend nothing happened and the other waiting until the time is right to swoop in and take control. It’s one of those stories that readers crave when looking for something light and easy.
