Janice Peacock keeps you guessing as Jax and Tesse try to solve the mystery of who killed their Italian art instructor. When the sheriff is of little help Jax can’t sit idly by and watch one of their classmates get away with murder.
This was one of those books that you pick up when you want an entertaining, light read. I loved the characters and the story line was a good light mystery.
Jax and Tessa’s friendship is an enjoyable mixture of loyalty, common interests and getting into and out of trouble. The information about glassblowing and bead making was very interesting.
Good story if you are interested in glass making; for me it broght back memories of touring a glass factory. Nicely told story.
Jax and her friend Tessa are taking a glass blowing class in nearby Carthage when the instructor, Marco, disappears. Jax later finds Marco’s body and gets involved in finding the murderer. This cozy mystery was an easy read, and the characters were fun. You get to meet Val, Carl and Vickie, Abby and Dex, Dario, Duke, and Sam. Stanley the basset hound even plays a starring role. In the end it looks as though Jax and Zachary will get a relationship started.
Loved the characters, they are so believable. Great story and mystery.

Jax is going to learn something new by taking a glass blowing class with Tessa.
Jax and Tessa are going to nearby Carthage to take a workshop in glass blowing. Right at the start, there is a problem. The owners of the Old Firehouse Studio, have a big argument and Abby storms off in the truck. The group is waiting for the instructor. He is the renowned glass blower from Venice, Marco de Luca. Trouble begins when Tessa discovers Marco is dead. The call 911, and the sheriff arrives, but he finds no body. Jax and Tessa of course get involved with finding the murderer, but who and why? After Marco’s death, Tessa reveals a secret from her past to Jax. Now they must find Marco’s brother, Dario living somewhere in California to tell him of the death of his brother. Jax, Tessa and Dario are determined to find the killer, with or without help. You need to read this mystery to discover how the killer is found. The twist is the weapon and how it was used. Love Jax, Tessa and Val, such crazy characters.
