He’ll risk everything for love. Even if it means going back to war.Alexander, an alpha of the Webber pack, was orphaned at the age of 7 in a war with the Kurrens that took his entire family from him. A truce was negotiated between the two packs that has gone on for twenty years, but when Alexander saves a sweet omega from the terrible Larcon Kurren, he puts that truce in jeopardy. Blue Mitchell’s … that truce in jeopardy.
Blue Mitchell’s parents are splitting up and he’s moving across the country from Santa Monica to Sleepy Hill, Colorado to finish his senior year. Looking for shifter friends and companionship, he accepts an invitation to get drinks with a handsome alpha, but soon realizes he’s made an awful mistake.
Larcon slips something in Blue’s drink and intends to bring him back to his compound—just another omega to add to his captive harem. But Alexander, having picked up Blue’s scent and recognized it as the scent of his fated-mate, saves the beautiful boy from a life of enslavement.
Eric, the Webbers pack leader, is furious. Alexander has put the truce in jeopardy, and the lives and safety of the rest of the pack with it. So, when Alexander is at work, he betrays him and hands Blue over to the Larcon.
Alexander is furious. It’s time for him to step up and be the alpha pack leader he’s destined to be. But will he act in time to save Blue from the clutches of the Kurrens, and prevent a war?
…Finding your fated-mate…something most shifters only dream about, and Alexander isn’t about to let his chance as everlasting love slip away…

Blue Mitchell moves to Sleepy Hill, Colorado with his alpha father, after his omega father cheats. Blue isn’t too sure of the new town as he doesn’t sense any shifters in the school. On his first day of school his father is late to pick him up so he accepts an offer of a ride from an alpha he describes as “douchey”. His instincts tell him to be wary but he goes with alpha douch Larcon anyway. Larcon is the alpha leader of the Kurren pack. Next thing Blue knows he’s drugged and in the process of being kidnapped. In steps Alexander, the alpha from the Webber pack. He’s just stopping at the local bar, for an after work drink, when he smells his fated mate. Saving Blue from Larcon brings trouble to the Webber pack and Blue’s relationship with his father. There’s a traitor in the Webber pack that spells trouble for Blue and Alex that culminates in a battle.
This was a good story line that was very poorly executed. The dialogue between Blue and Alex is childish and cringe worthy throughout most of the story. The fact that Blue thinks flirting with Larcon, when he first meets him, by saying “you wanna breed me?” is just gross. That breeding/being bred are mentioned several times is cringe worthy. At the beginning of the big battle Alex is thinking they’re outnumbered. I don’t understand that as the Webbers have 5 alphas: Alex, Eric, Jasper, Tyrese and Mr. Mitchell and the Kurrens have 3 alphas and 2 betas: Larcon, Marco, Tony, 2 unnamed betas. At the outset they should have been equal, if not the Webbers having a slight advantage. The fact that Blue’s omega father is never around is odd to me. Yeah he cheated, so the marriage broke up, but you don’t just forget that there’s a kid out there that you carried and delivered. He didn’t call, write or come to Blue’s graduation. Also as another reviewer mentioned, Blue is described as having a large stomach but still going to school but the humans don’t know about shifters. This made no sense. The fact that the Webber pack member that betrays Alex and Blue gets off scot free. Riggght!!!
I won’t be finishing this series or reading anymore books by this author. I can not figure out why there are so many 4 & 5 star reviews. This book is just awful. Won’t recommend anyone read this book.

Alexander lost everything to the rival pack on the other side of the mountain. Alex has a small pack with a defacto leader and the same disgusting pack on the other side of the mountain, although theirs us smaller too. Alex does not agree with his packs defacto leader, so when it comes to saving the omega, will there be war with the rival pack or within his own.
Blue did not want to move to these mountains, but he won’t tell his dad that. Blue seems to be the only shifter at his school too. When a handsome older shifter offers to give Blue a ride, he is to relieved at finding another shifter to think about the consequences.
This has got a bit of everything. I like that there is turmoil within their own pack, often times its always peachy. I really like that some of the other shifters are described as covered in layers of fat, all shifters books I have read, always have them perfectly fit and stunningly handsome. The story has quite few things that stray frim the “norm”, I think that makes it worth reading.
